Seen, all this stuff about naismith I would be the first to welcome him back open armed, had he done what Davis, done and got a transfer fee for the club, but he didn't he legged it bad mouthed us and filled his pockets, and if anybody says what about Kenny Miller I bet you forgave him, no I haven't forgiven Alfie conn.

20 May 2017 19:39:28
And you are what is wrong with the minorty of our support

20 May 2017 19:46:02
I agree g4rry! We should concentrate on what is right for the here and now! The plain facts are that naismith would improve our starting line up greatly! That's good enough for me

20 May 2017 19:50:36
Davis not get a transfer fee the club gave us money for goodwill!

20 May 2017 19:51:21
If the players mentioned can improve our team that's what matters don't matter where they come from as long as they improve our team that's what matters

20 May 2017 21:02:43
Lafferty, Naismith etc abandoned us when we needed them most. Now they want to come back now that we are back in the top league - no chance! And I don't think I speak for a minority. They made their choices and now they get to live by them.

20 May 2017 21:41:02
Zikos

Spot on mate

20 May 2017 23:20:52
Kenny Miller? Alfie Conn? Somebody needs to grow up! It's just pathetic!

21 May 2017 00:20:44
Surely it's better to wallow in the place we are now, underachieving, miles behind Celtic than to take Naismith etc back. After all, what really counts for us supporters is what happened 4 or 5 years ago. next year, who cares so long as those guys don't come back.

21 May 2017 03:51:09
immatuirty to a new level.

take anyone with class who wants to come back, we are not the same rangers we were, i grew up expecting to win games, they are years maybe decades ahead of us, financially and morally it seems.

yes most of our fans have brains but a lot are simpletons.

get behind the team and boardroom they are trying and to say we have not progressed in the 5 years is untrue. some teams would still be scraping the barrell.

21 May 2017 07:14:43
The big positives this year is got to be reaching europe, it puts the clubs name back out there in the mix. if signings in the summer are good its the next level to get back to the top. i honestley think this time next year if kit deal sorted and there's new investment, we will be challenging for the title. this year 2nd is a must and no more than a 15 point gap, that would take us in the right direction.

21 May 2017 07:43:24
Laudrup2222

Being in the Europa league qualifiers hardly puts us back in the mix. If the team got into the group stages then yes however it will be astonishing if we made it there

21 May 2017 09:36:20
Bengy25.going from 3rd division of scottish football to europa qaulifiers puts us in the mix. think we were lucky that hearts fell away and st johnstone ran out of games to catch us. dependent on summer signings will see how far we go. but this team needs a almost total overhaul. if the signings we have been liked with come about, we will be a better force this time round.

21 May 2017 09:47:15
It beggars belief the small minded bitterness of some of our fans!

21 May 2017 11:08:35
Laudrup2222

Problem is the Europa qualifiers aren't that far away and as we will need a complete overhaul it's difficult to see how we could get through them with a new team. An early exit will heap pressure onto the manager and a slow start in the league even more. I don't expect anything from Europe and can't see much money being made from it

20 May 2017 17:59:28
Barry mckay has been told to find a new club by pedro to find a new club.

20 May 2017 18:59:31
If true, it is another worrying decision by Pedro.

Much as Barrie McKay has been inconsistent, I still feel he is our most skilful player on his day.

20 May 2017 19:43:49
Mckay is an enigma and should go. He turns up sometimes and for me sometimes does not cut it. i agree with pedro the wee rat is dragging hus heals wanting a better deal. really? Your having a laugh wee man. He should be begging for a contract as he has been just as bad as halliday holt etc. not good enough for us, no more chances. Pedro is getting rid of dead wood. He is coming in with fresh eyes and sees nothing special in him or half our squad. Have a little faith in our straight talking manager and let him build his team fellow bears

20 May 2017 20:29:07
Rangersman1872 why should a home grown talent like mckay not demand a similar wage to the dead wood like tav, waggy and haliday? I get what your saying about the inconcistency that is barry mckay but, i think he's worth keeping and maybe try to nurture that talent.
Im concerned about where caxhinha is talking this club. He talking a lot of shite and got worse results/ performances than warburton so, i don't trust his judgement yet if ever.

20 May 2017 20:49:31
no problem with me if he goes, have no time for a player that will not dig in, cr? s every single 50/ 50, and as we are just now we cannot afford to carry guys like that

20 May 2017 20:55:03
Yogibear i was fan of mckay and agree that young talent should be nurtured but as i said he is lazy and uninterested most of the time. He has shown nothing to pedro which is why i agree with pedro. The boy has talent no doubt mate but if you do not give 100% and show the new manager you are worth another contract then yeah you have to go regrdless of and i use this word losely potential lol. He wants a better contract and if pedro thought mckay had done enough to prove he desrves 1.would this not already have happened?

20 May 2017 22:29:45
I would let mckay go no prob's! We can't have players playing well 10 games a season, we have not got budget to carry people so everyone has to be at there best so we can catch the dark side ()

20 May 2017 23:22:57
I wish he had 10 good games this season! Bags of potential, no heart, awful attitude

21 May 2017 08:25:42
Mckay should be offered contract at least comparable to Waggy et all. The lad has great skill and wants to stay, big mistake to let him go.

20 May 2017 17:39:26
It is Official

Sutton, Hartson, Nicholas, lennon, Whyte (ex sheep and dhim), Griffiths, Broon, Brenda and a few others from the dark side all had something to say,

Yep

Its all about the Gers.

20 May 2017 19:38:14
Listen why should they not have a say. Pedro asks for it with his stupid comments and bragging about what he is going to do. brag after you have done something . he is setting himself up every time he speaks. let's get good players in for next season, let's get through the 1st qualifying leg. let's win our first few games THEN start issuing threats and promises about how good we are going to be!

20 May 2017 20:31:46
At least warburton had the decency and reserve to keep his mouth shut and not spout this pish that caxhinha come out with. Its not a rangers managers way to behave.

20 May 2017 21:26:24
Whilst I agree Yogi bear that Pedro needs to play it a lot more cagey than he is doing saying Warburton kept his mouth shut smacks of a totally selective memory. What about"Gap- what gap? "or "We'll learn from this"or" Rossi ter is 8 to 10 days away" to name but three.

20 May 2017 23:36:45
So we all moan when the bawbags in the media have there continued digs at Rangers, but if Pedro has a wee pop first we're getting on his back? Sorry, I'd rather listen to Pedro any day of the week than Sutton etc.

21 May 2017 00:42:14
He's sticking up for rangers we should stick up for him

20 May 2017 12:00:05
I sometimes read a few posts on here with disbelief in regards to negativity etc, just 3 of the names we r linked with, alves, Weiss and Naismith are in a completely different league to what we have at the moment and will improve us hugely, if these 3 are signed witha few more bought in too i'm kinda optimistic. I think we should all get behind pPedro and give him a chance because we ain't going to be successful without the whole club from board level us fans pulling together making the best of what we will have come the start of the season, Leicester didn't have the best players when they won the EPL, what they did have was a tremendous togetherness through out which without they would have been nowhere near the title, so come on fellow bears let's say our part in getting us back to where we belong

20 May 2017 12:15:26
Well said

20 May 2017 12:27:03
Wouldn't sign Naismith on the basis that some things are bigger than football such as integrity and loyalty among other things. It can be dressed up in however many ways you or anyone likes the fact is his leaving of the club was ugly and left a bad taste for many of the fans to take.

He was not leaving Rangers but a new organisation according to himself, well we are still that same team he left in his own eyes so I see no reason to forgive him now that we are in a better position. And he still has 2 years remaining so the fee would not be worth it and probably unatainable in the first instance.

20 May 2017 13:15:01
Leicester had player of year. Record goalscorer and international defense. Rethink

20 May 2017 14:06:29
Just2see, If only my life was as perfect as you expect. I would be a saint.

Bad advice, poor form of words granted but no doubt he would improve our team

In my book, grab him with both hands now

20 May 2017 14:24:15
Leicesters player of the year was unheard of until they signed him, fo all we know we could unearth a real gem too, all i'm sayin Is negativity from the outset is not going to help anybody

20 May 2017 14:46:42
My feeling exactly, just2see 👍

20 May 2017 18:26:12
Just2see

100% correct mate what Naismith did and said was totally unforgivable and it's incredible how some Rangers fans are that desperate that they have changed their tune and want him back.

20 May 2017 18:32:11
BR65

Even forgetting the fact about what he did and said. Do you honestly think we could afford the transfer fee. The guy went for £9m less than a year ago and will be on inexcess of anything we could afford to pay him. We simply can't afford him

20 May 2017 18:42:59
Just keep in mind that naismith the same as us has family to support at the time of leaving rangers if someone said to you at work that your taking 75% pay cut in you wages what would you do? Take into account these guys have got houses and stuff based probably on their salaries etc

20 May 2017 19:36:55
Omg. Not this old Naismith chestnut again. Ok for some people he left under a cloud of controversy. Ok I get that some of you guys don't like what he done. Let me ask you this. IF he comes back and scores a barra load of goals in big games, cup finals, against them. You telling me that he couldn't win you over again. You would be willing to sit on your hands not celebrating what he could do for the team. Let me add I'd rather have Naismith back than Weiss.

20 May 2017 21:47:17
Blueger69

Forgetting the way the horrible wee so and so left us claiming the club died how are we supposed to afford his transfer fee and wages? Do you think Norwich having not long paid £9m for him are just going to let him leave for no fee?

20 May 2017 23:12:01
Bengy the rumour is yes they are letting him leave for free massive cost cutting at the club I know it sounds strange considering the money they have paid out but that's the rumour going around

20 May 2017 23:34:27
Laudrup

Yeah RUMOUR is the key word there. There season has been over 2 weeks now and they have already named the players to be released and he wasn't one of them. Do you not think if that was going to be the case then it would have been announced by now? Do you not think it makes more sense to see if they can recoup some money for him? Sure their would be teams willing to pay a fee for him and I'm also sure Norwich will be looking for a fee rather than just releasing for nothing without even trying to get something. Not as if the window is closing and they will be stuck with him

20 May 2017 23:37:00
Albertz82

That is a red herring mate. Rangers weren't asking him to take a pay cut to stay all they wanted to do was get some sort of fee for him. I'm sure he could have negotiated the club to get a small fee say £500k and he would have still got his move and the club would have got money

21 May 2017 17:47:36
he doesn't have two years remaining, he's been released

20 May 2017 10:17:50
I hope Serge Atakayi gets a chance tomorrow, PC seemed to suggest more kids will get a game. On another note I think Weiss is a better player now than when he left, he, s leant the game more and had good international experience, there's not a lot of quality players out there with a genuine love of our club so it makes sense to me that if there's a chance we should take it, Pedro knows him obviously so it all makes sense.

20 May 2017 13:16:09
Excited to see youth play and you are right about Weiss

20 May 2017 22:26:35
Get as many youth players in as poss the mora? As nothing to play for and let's have look at them

20 May 2017 09:40:32
Pedro is going to announce the new signings next week and confirm who will be staying and leaving from the existing squad. Interesting week ahead! Also, Lennon and Nicholas slagging Pedro off. What a bloody cheek! A very mediocre Hibs team will struggle next season and Nicholas was the most overrated player I've ever seen! I smell their fear.

20 May 2017 11:10:03
PC when asked about Charlie Nicholas' comments "who? " Haha

20 May 2017 11:39:40
Charlie nicholas on soccer saturday he can't string a sentence together the guy is a buffoon he's got a cheek to slag anybody

20 May 2017 11:53:46
Nicholas is an utter clown and it's embarrassing watching the sky sports centre when he is on it. Him, Thompson and Merson are all utter tossers god knows how Jeff Sterling puts up with all 3?

20 May 2017 12:50:11
Stelling is a tosser as well lol

20 May 2017 13:40:34
I like merson

20 May 2017 18:27:09
That's because Merson is a bawbag too

20 May 2017 00:43:56
just a wee idea for next season re our shirt. i recon we should all dig out the shirt the we wore when we won 9 n row. you can also pick them up on ebay quite cheap. i think it would also show our players how much it means to us 2 stop them doing it. thoughts lads.

20 May 2017 07:11:55
Couldn't care less about 9 / 10 / 11 in a row. Just want my club solvent sustainable and challenging.
Small steps lest not jump into overspending AGAIN

20 May 2017 10:05:59
I agree with blueshaun, achievements go in the history books and 10 or 11 in a row would be a long standing achievement.

I would rather see us build for the future and remain a sustainable club than run ourselves into the ground chasing a number.

We will win titles, we will be a dominant team again, but that will take time and money and at the moment we have more time than money so get your sensible hats on and support the manager and team.

20 May 2017 15:19:06
think your misreading my post. i'm talking about motivating players 2 stop them getting 2 9 in a row and not giving cashley money. my post has nothing 2 do with chasing numbers ect

21 May 2017 17:42:24
Great idea stewartyyblue, if we ALL are in tandem with this suggestion and Wear our 9 in a row home top, in attendance at our games, in the new season! I most definitely would do it!
