Suspicious Statements from Charles Green

No problems with HMRC
No problems with SPL
No problems with SFL1
All players will TUPE over
Will sue those not TUPE'ing over
20 investors on board
3 billionaires lined up
5 players from EURO's
9 players from Newcastle
25 year contract for Ally
I was at UEFA in Switzerland

I am sure there are a lot more

Believable37 Unbelievable5

Yes and he he making noises about how some SPL clubs were pressed into refusing us permission to get the vote to get our SPL license. Statements like these are not good for us or Scottish football and he will cause trouble by saying some SPL clubs won't be welcomed at Ibrox. He certainly is trying to wind up the bad atmosphere but what he should remember is if he'd had stopped the liquidation we wouldn't have been in this situation in the first place. When we were liquidated we lost the right to play in any league and had to apply for a new license.
The SPL were also wrong and only looking after their own interests in allowing a vote
For them to return as before. As they are recognised as a new club there was only one place they should start and that only happened because of greed of other clubs, as there is a list of clubs wanting to get into the 3rd division for a while. As I previously stated he could have avoided it with his sordid bid, now he accuses others he is no more Rangers minded than than those from the dark side who post on here, and is only it for one reason. If he succeeds and leaves us in stable honest hands and walks away with a big profit I will be happy, but I wouldn't bet on it. I feel sorry for Ally I think he is being used.
Bobby

Agree8 Disagree0

I believe it's called playing to the crowd! He can also read eyes and minds as well.

Agree11 Disagree0

A lot of this was media talk never heard CG saying half these things but the ones he did are true but he ain't giving all the details away. I think you lot will be in for a surprise just because some things ain't happened yet it does not mean they ain't going to happen. Maybe you lot should sit back and wait and see how it pans out before you want to stick the boot in again

At least 9 investors all internationally famous people.

Charles Green has told the truth about. One

apparently as the stadium needs some
serious refurbishment Mr Green has

Credit where it's due. Alas Rangers wont be the first club to win all 4 Scottish domestic titles (Dumbarton have already done so) and alas the record attendance for a fourth tier game still sits in Brazil but yes, finally you do have a record this year.

In all the thousands of games I've been to, played in or watched on tv I have never EVER saw a player booked in a penalty shoot-out. Well done Gers, you finally got a much sought after record this season, truly sterling stuff guys, you must be proud.

Believable18 Unbelievable8

You've seriously never seen a keeper booked or the striker for taking off his shirt, wow you must never watch football.

Agree7 Disagree9

What was he booked for, time-wasting?

Agree9 Disagree3

Money wasting!

Agree12 Disagree4

Joe hart was booked while playing in a penalty shoot for England u21s in the semi final of the euros. It was his second booking of the tournament and meant he missed the final. So a yellow card in a shoot out isn't a new thing

Agree4 Disagree2

At least Ally created another world record and no it wasn't for how many steak bakes you can wolf down in an hour . Ally must be the only manager to enter his first 5 cup tournaments and get beaten in every one.......DH {Ed001's Note - I think I could name hundreds of managers in England that have entered far more cups and been beaten in every one. I am sure they are quite common around the world too.}

Agree6 Disagree2

1) In a penalty shoot-out?

Agree5 Disagree0

Alexander got booked for trying to state to the referee that the QOS keeper was about 3 yards off his line when he saved shiels' penalty.

TTG

Agree1 Disagree5

Ed1 could you tell me a manager who has entered 5 different cups and been put out every one........DH {Ed001's Note - I have already told you, I could tell you hundreds, it happens all the time in England, most clubs enter regional cup competitions as well as the full ones. Let's begin with Harry Redknapp though, one you might have heard of. It would only be unprecedented if it happened in one season, otherwise it is nothing new. Just thought I would bring Redknapp up, in case you want it to mean national and European competitions only. When he managed at Bournemouth they failed in the English equivalent to the Ramsdens Cup, helped them on their way to administration too oddly enough!}

Agree0 Disagree2

Ed I think you know what I mean . McCoist was put out of his first 5 cups available to him CL , Europa League , league cup , Scottish cup , and Ramsdens cup . I don't know many teams who play in 5 tournaments never mind managers.."....DH {Ed001's Note - ah I see, well you never said that, nor did you qualify it by pointing out that you meant 5 different cup competitions, rather than just any 5.}

You've got to hand it to Mr Green----on t.v. tonight saying not all teams welcome at Ibrox but Motherwell will be.Why?He wants their fans money, fans that were most vociferous in wanting Rangers out of SPL.This man is trying everything and every angle to get things stirred up and to get money in-----for his good only.He says the world is laughing at the handling of the team's crisis but no,they are laughing now at him and his button-pushing antics. He's sure learned the game up here fast!

Believable28 Unbelievable7

Charles Green '''sitting at the table with Ally
I could tell by the glint in their eyes who
did'nt like rangers' what an utter f..d!

Agree26 Disagree3

Not all teams welcome at ibrox ha ha lmao , Chucks definately lost the plot, looks like he"ll need as much cash as possible to buy a few hundred gallons of paint to tart up your rusting old ground going by tv pictures on Alba the other night.....Stevie

Agree16 Disagree2

The clubs whose chairmen had glints in their eyes ain't welcome. Total pr*ck........ You only spotted the guys with contact lenses.
96% of Motherwell fans voted not to let the new rangers football club venture into top flight citing sporting integrity, nothing else.

Agree16 Disagree1

The ramblings of a desperate man from Chico. If all was going well we wouldn't hear from him.

Agree18 Disagree1

What about your own fans who wanted the 3rd do they not like rangers ?

Agree10 Disagree1

That is the most ridiculous statement I've heard from a club chairman. The press must love him. Still he's always good for a laugh. I hope gets a profit, he's been worth it.

Agree13 Disagree0

Ally McCoist stated he wanted div3, remember? The fans wanted it, because it would hurt SPL teams financially.... Guess its rangers finances that's hurting.

Agree6 Disagree0

20 Sep 2012 19:32:57
watching the game on tuesday night highlighted the fact that ibrox is quickly going down hill and is badly in need of a coat of paint , the amount of rust on view was even more than was seen on the park

Believable23 Unbelievable3

Stadium hasn't been touched for years.heating is gubbed apparently, more burst pipes coming our way over the winter.noticed that there's burst bricks all over the front of the stadium and all the steel is rusting.

Agree20 Disagree1

And more concerning maybe is the fact it's dubbed 'asbestos arena'!

Briggs

Agree19 Disagree1

Yep the place needs demolished and a new
Asda put in its place.

Agree27 Disagree2

There needs to be some kind of program made up to improve this issue , but im sure charlesgreen will inform us of this in the near future , although there is quite a lot of painters and decorators who follow rangers why do they not all donate their services for free , or see i community service workers are an option ,

Agree1 Disagree2

Some people on here slaver complete dross. Honestly your tellys must have a new feature built in rust vision. I watched the game and never seen all the rust you lot are on about. And surely the stadium would have to pass safety inspections so yes it might need a little tlc but what doesn't they are constantly painting the forth rail bridge and that still has rust on it it's steel steel rusts it doesn't mean it's going to fall down

Agree1 Disagree4

Celtic fans got a hard neck how old is parkheid 18years and that's already a Sh,thole imagine what that will be like in 50 years whoops don't bother it would have fallen down well before that

Agree2 Disagree7

20 Sep 2012 19:30:27
what next from cg he now thinks some spl clubs were pressured into voting them out the spl , why would ross county strive to make the top league to find rangers were not in it , he thinks its unbelievable , so charles do you think they will try to get relegated to get into the same league as your team , i think not . no charles every team realised an spl with rangers just opened the door to too many underhanded people who think they can beat the system , they know div 3 was the only option for rangers as they must pay the penalty for theft and gross mismanagement

Believable26 Unbelievable5

Bringing this up again, only to deflect the story from Ally's lack of competence.
Under no circumstances should there even have been a vote to allow the new football club into the SPL it's outside of the rules.
The team mentioned had a better chance of not being relegated back to first div if rangers were out and Dundee in!

Agree18 Disagree1

Charles Charles you looked semi professional when you turned up here. Now with all the fibs and nonsense peddling you're just turning out to be a buffoon.
Please go read that little booklet you got when u became a Scottish company director, you know the one from companies house, there's pages of responsibilities in there and you are falling foul of them with all the fibs.

Regards the EBT's the fundamental question, irrespective or whether it was in the annual accounts or not, is why were there two contracts?

The top up money, if you want to call it that, was under the term remuneration trust. So for talking sake if a player wanted £30k a week but Rangers were paying £20k in wages the accounts per individual would have looked like this.

Salaries £1,000,000
Renumeration Trust £500,000

I'm rounding it to make it simpler.

Now multiply that by the number of players involved or on Rangers books and overall it may have been

Salaries £35,000,000
Renumeration Trust £5,000,000

Now do you realisticaly expect the SFA to go through every contract at Ibrox adding up all the salaries, bonuses etc to find out if the £35,000,000 balances then doing that for every club within their remit?

Or do you think they presumed the rules were crystal clear and that EVERY club was adhering to them?

As ENRON and a number of other companies have proved, a balance sheet with the right manipulation can say what it wants. Being in the balance sheet doesn't automatically make it the case that the SFA knew what the renumeration trust money was paid for.

It would take a forensic accountant to establish what was happening and I would imagine most if not all of us would be outraged to see one of them in the SFA's employ purely to check if clubs were following the guidelines.

Rangers knew the rule, knew how to bypass it and most likely knew the ramifications of it. But regardless of which the very existence of a second contract really is the smoking gun.

Believable22 Unbelievable7

Now for the real simpletons, explain the arithmetic between para 3 and para 6.

Agree5 Disagree4

How can sfa know the £5million was not been taken legitemately by directors... as often the case with EBT.

Its not obvious this was for players, this is the then oldco need to explain why had the fact?

Agree1 Disagree3

1) I'm not sure if you were being rhetorical or are indeed a simpleton. It wasn't a staraightforward multiply the wages by 7 in one case and 10 for the other. Rangers seemingly paid forty odd million to it over 10 years or so. In some years it could have been around £5m as for the £35m purely random but presumably in the ball park. Not all players were on them but by the same token smaller paid players weren't.

As ever the focus is on one tiny detail rather than the whole bigger picture and realities of a situation.

OP

Agree2 Disagree1

Another obsessed east end accountant on here. Here's one for you to number crunch over - 7.7 million debt and Rising.

Agree5 Disagree15

@4 I think you will find the debt at the champions of Scotland is just over £2m. CL money,ki money and wage bill reduction from players who have left over the summer were not included in those accounts so I think you will find debt will be non existent next time round. I know its hard for you to accept that a club can be successful and have manageable or no debt without cheating the taxman and small businesses out of their money. So dream on noddy...zzzzzzzz

Briggs

Agree13 Disagree2

@4: how'd you know they're from the east end? And Celtic's debt will not be rising given the smaller wage bill, the Ki fee and the Champions League revenue.

How much is the loan to Green?

Agree11 Disagree2

@6 it's simple.

If you slag them = east end.
If you point out a fact or two they don't like = east end.
If you have the business reputation of Del Boy = Owner.
If you make promises you'll never keep = Owner.
If you come out with half baked mantras = Manager.
If your a creditor = Awww, better luck next time we've got a football team to run.

Agree10 Disagree0

@5) Celtic saying their debt is £7.7million your telling us it's £2million so one of you is telling lies.So the question to you is who is the truth?Await you answer.

Agree2 Disagree9

@8 wait no longer. Celtic reported LOSSES of just over £7m Debt has risen from £500k to just over £2m so neither Celtic nor I are telling lies,I'm afraid it's you noddy...zzzzz WAKE UP and read the facts before you post your lies..

Briggs

Agree10 Disagree1

Actually the debt the club has is 7.7mil they made a 500k loss in 2010/11 season and a loss of 2 mil in season 2011/12 giving a total loss or debt of 7.7mil but it's simple keep believing what you want if it makes you happy. Because it doesn't matter how much debt they are in you can't do jack Sh,t about it

can anyone tell me just what CG
intends to do with any money he raises
from any share issue, after all, he
can't buy players with it!
here's a thought been bugging me for
a while now, at Andy Gorams divorce
hearing he stated that he earned a grand a
week, I remember everyone being astonished
at this cos we all thought the rangers
players were on big bucks, if he was in fact
being paid through an EBT at the time
(which would make sense now!)
could he be tried for lying under oath?
if HMRC find against rangers, that's not as
outlandish as it may seem!

Believable15 Unbelievable6

EBTs started in 2000. By that time Goram was long gone. But why let the facts get in the way of a good rumour ??

Agree7 Disagree4

A jet, a boat, a new hoose and a wee dolly burd wie big paps half his age. Maybe he's not daft after all.

Agree4 Disagree0

After looking at the pictures of the main stand on tuesday night the whole of the the ground is in need of a coat of paint

Agree11 Disagree0

Actually spl are only investigating the years that the spl has been going , its not their call to make for the years before that, who knows sfa may step in and look into this issue , who knows

Agree4 Disagree1

Do you remember amouruso getting done for speeding. Said he was on a grand a week and asked for time to pay fine. Produced his wage slip. Questions were asked then but ignored. I think we should be told when did this tax shennanigans start. Tommo

Feel sorry for McCoist after all he has bee through. the players signed apart from Shields, black and templeton are dross though and McCoist must have given his approval to sign them.

Sorry to to but how much do i wish McCoist did do Walking away.

CANZ

Believable13 Unbelievable6

If McCoist was to walk away now he would at least remain a legend (as a player!!) but with every passing awful performance he slips further away, it would be a shame if CG has to sack him, he should resign rather than turn more supporters against the chairman for what would be the correct decision.

Lennon greetin' that the tic deserve respect as they got a 0-0 draw at porkheid against Benfica. Try winning a game in the group and then maybe u will get your wish neil.

Believable13 Unbelievable17

You lot try winning away from home and Ally may get his 25 year deal.

Ian

Agree14 Disagree9

This isnt the ramsden cup pal ... these are real professional players we are up against

Agree15 Disagree8

I'll take the respect that UEFA acknowledges with a draw in the group stages of the Champions League, a further 950,000.00 in the Parkhead biscuit tin.
Not too bad eh?

JL

Agree13 Disagree5

Binman says

Climb 4 leagues, beat us to the title, get through the qualifying stages and then you can flap your gums about a draw with a team that Mourinho tipped as one of the dark horses to win the Champions League.

Meantime - seek help for excess bile circulation.

Agree19 Disagree5

Certainly deserve more respect than us the way were going
Bobby

Agree12 Disagree3

Are old co not the record holders for going through group stages with least amount of points and NO WINS lol, so stop yer daft comments.

CANZ

Agree13 Disagree2

I know, cant believe he thinks they earned the respect of europe when they didnt test the Benfica goalie once!

Anti football springs to mind, remembr they slated us for this?

Jas

Agree6 Disagree14

How much respect did rangers get drawing
with Annan 'As jolly boy john would say
GET REAL

Agree12 Disagree2

Respect from who? If they win games in their group then they should be rightly praised. Until then they will be considered the 'whipping boys' of the section and treated as such by the opposition.

Agree6 Disagree8

Keep Barcelona at bay, then you will get some respect.

Agree5 Disagree9

0-0 v the team that top Man Utd's group last season, 2-2 with QOS, deserving of respect, hmmmmm, hang on I'm still thinking about it.

It is inconceivable that you lot can throw one iota of criticism at Celtic this week of all weeks. Sure there is banter etc but come on we are talking different planets here and for the record Celtic were 5/2 underdogs, you were 1/7 favourites, enough said. I'd be a lot more concerned about Ally than Neil that's for sure.

Oh and by the way £400k for a champs league point last night, ignoring the 53,000 crowd paying on average around £30, 24,000 v QOS at £15 a head and how much did you get for reaching the lofty position of Ramsden Cup quarter-finalists again?

Agree14 Disagree3

Who is the idiot the claims a draw is worth 950,000? Each point is worth just under a quarter of a million. Not just under a million.

Agree6 Disagree9

Lucky to get a draw, that was a penalty.

Agree4 Disagree9

To the guy wittering on about records...how many champions league group games without a win? unmatched by any team in 20 years of Champions league history..that's a record!

Agree5 Disagree0

Every game earns you over a quarter of a million before the result is taken into account. You then get money if you draw 400k or 750-800k for a win roughly.

Agree6 Disagree0

But who will celtic sign with that money, NO ONE or as usual a NOBODY!

Agree1 Disagree8

We just got ****ed out the ramsdens cup by queen of the south n couldn't buy an away win, n u want to slag Celtic for drawing with benfica. Get a grip pal. Webhave a lot more to worry about than how Celtic are gettin on. Who cares what they are doing? You shouldn't be bothered about them until we are back in the same league as them. Concentrate on the gers for **** sake

Agree11 Disagree0

To number 12 poster and what is a qf defeat in the ramsdens cup worth to you

Agree5 Disagree0

Obviously Anti-football in the champs league is acceptable now Celtic are doing it. Benfica were knocking it about like barca last night absolute class.....

Agree1 Disagree6

Any attacking team will suffer if the opposition sits deep and tight. Benfica should have won the game, but struggled to break through Ceiltics defence. There will be more of this 'anti football' (tic fans liked to use this word a lot when we did exactly the same) to come especially away from home.

Agree1 Disagree6

@16. Not one penny will be spent, They are in debt and that will concentrate Lawwells mind.

Agree0 Disagree7

@16 it's called a signing policy. Buy young unheard ofs for say £2.5m,sell them on for £6.5m. You should try it sometimes. Oh wait, I've just realised the many reasons why that cant be the case.

Agree8 Disagree0

Let's see what messi has to say this time. Celtic had 4 players out and had to be cautious. Benficas manager was really p1ssed off because his game plan was to exploit celtic by hitting on the break. Watty just parked the bus as they say.

Agree1 Disagree0

@22 lol wait there who has sold more players for 9 mil oh yeah that's right rangers

Just read the Queen of the South manager
saying that his teams superior work ethic
won them the game on Tuesday.
Spot on mate, all this talk of poor plastic
pitches, Ally moaning about size of his
squad etc... er Ally tell me just how big
a squad do you think Annan, Peterhead
East Strirling have etc..
Also the wee part time players look
FITTER than the highly paid (and yes
they are well paid ) players at Ibrox.
Most of your players are happy to take
their wages and not put in a shift in
return, they are coasting. Timalloy

Believable20 Unbelievable6

Strange thing really. QoS manager is Allan Johnston, wee magic you might remember. I wonder how much of this work ethic he learned at Ibrox and what Sally was doing while Magic was learning.

Agree7 Disagree1

Signs that your obsession have returned Timahoy.
Congratulations on your no scoring draw last night, by all accounts lucky, point more than I thought you would have got for your group. The trend now for your tim mates is to mention the amount of money you will have, even tho you had a decline in turnover and posted an overall loss of £7.3m for a Championship winning year.

Agree8 Disagree8

Mmm then take the 5.5 Ki money off that deficit. 1.8m ok. Then take the 15-17 million CL money aff that. Ok. You still with me mate aye.

In todays financial climate and taking into consideration the league we are in, Celtic must be delighted with how business is progressing.

Making a loss on last year was inevitable given the way the economy is. Im sure the money men foreseen it.

Agree6 Disagree1

19 Sep 2012 16:44:16
Hi Ed, did that sports direct guy invest £2m for 10% of the club or not? That all appeared to go quiet.
Also, did we get compensation for the thirty something that walked away? Or did their new teams give us squat? {Ed001's Note - I am trying to verify the info, but as far as I can find, Ashley just did a distribution deal for shirts, not an investment. I find that unlikely though, Ashley has a record for getting small percentages of companies included in deals, which he then sells later when the stock has risen. A few got compensation, most no payment has been made.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

There's only one shareholder listed at Companies House for Sevco Scotland Ltd, Sevco 5088 Ltd or The Rangers, whatever you want to be called and that man is Charles Green, there will only ever be one shareholder!

Agree8 Disagree3

I suspect it was all the usual hype and of course no Scottish journalist seems capable of reporting on the actual facts.

Did anyone else notice the "Gut", Kevin Kyle had on him the other night ? proper belly on him ! Could someone please tell me why this can be possible or acceptable for a so called pro football ?? Appreciate the guy has been out game a while but he's been at Gers now a good few months ! Total joke. complete embarrassment. Thoughts please !

Believable10 Unbelievable2

I think his gut has actually got a bit smaller since he first came off the bench. He was out for over a year so this might be understandable. He actually looked one of our best players before he got sent off.

Sandaza doesn't have a gut but moves like he does. Kyle will prove to be a good signing I think. He is more suited to the long ball game.

hey bears just back from my holidays in Boston (came home Monday night)
had some spare cash left so put it on both teams to score in last night's
game got 11/10 put on £100 and won £110 so thanks for my wee windfall.

By the way has Ally signed his new 25 year contract yet? lol Timalloy
