So windass seems to be playing and scoring regulary could him and crooks be the steal of the season, with mw in charge i can't wait to see them in blue up close and personal .
Excited about next season, not half
Let the charge begin upwards.

22 Apr 2016 10:13:30
Iv been keeping an eye on them two since they signed a pre-contract and these two players will do very well for us, very high hopes.

22 Apr 2016 11:12:10
Both players (windass and crooks) both been named in top 10 league 2 players for the season, crooks number 4 and windass number 10 I think.

22 Apr 2016 11:55:45
I think the Celtic fans who were laughing at us buying players from teams like Accrington and Doncaster will be laughing on the other sides of their faces next year. Wee Harry would have ripped them apart last week and I'm sure these boys will add something or MW wouldn't have signed them.
The money in the EPL and English Championship has pushed a lot of good players down the leagues, and I for one am happy we have the right people in charge to find these players. I'd rather buy guys who have played in Britian and know what there coming to when signing for us than cheap foreign imports who take time to settle.

22 Apr 2016 13:45:23
Recbob, SPOT ON.

The lower leagues in England have loads of talent that would do a job for Rangers. I follow a club in League Two due to my location and know this for a fact having seen more than a few at first hand.

You are absolutely right about good quality being pushed out by foreign imports in higher leagues and also right (in my opinion) about British based players being right for our club. The days of ten foreigners playing for Rangers are hopefully gone as I felt the whole essence of the club lost something when it was like that, though a win is a win I suppose regardless of who is in the team.

22 Apr 2016 16:45:29
True JFC. You can just see it with guys like Waggy, Tav, Forrester and Foz. They think they've won the lottery going from lower league teams to the Rangers and are playing like their life depends on it as they don't want to go back. Next year we can offer even more with 4 Old Firms and potential European football. Hopefully that means an even higher standard than the boys mentioned, who to a man have been first class and all hit the ground running pretty much. It's looking great for next year.

21 Apr 2016 18:46:17
Wee question bears when was the last time you went into work after our team getting beat and not one celtic fan has anything to say no wee snide remarks nothing were back and they know it.

21 Apr 2016 19:13:25
Before we beat them some were still making out as if their team was all that as well, through some sort of blind faith. Everybody bar them seen what a mess they had become since our absence. It's been hard to wind them up after Sunday though, they all look traumatised.
Listening to them talk about new managers is histerical as well, they're praying for a miracle but know deep down they'll end up with Malky McKay or some other washed up has been.

21 Apr 2016 21:56:33
14 goals in 8 games coceded (2 V SPL Leader's) So 12 V Lower Tier Club's exposes the deficiency in the Back Line.

22 Apr 2016 10:14:54
And the leagues won, give the players a break.

22 Apr 2016 11:39:38
Statistics don't tell the full story tho, the back 4 can only do so much, the best teams defend from the front our back 4 have 0 protection.

22 Apr 2016 11:57:30
Pud all the stats are irrelevant, the main stats you should be looking at was we beat you's easily and also won the league in that horrible period you refer to. That's meaningful stats.

22 Apr 2016 13:35:30
Cee finally someone who see's this. People slating our defenders constantly but I am with you in thinking that with a bit more protection in front of them, they wouldn't be making the kind of mistakes that's been happening all season.

The way we play is so open at times they are fully exposed to players faster than them, especially when Wallace and Tav's get in the mood for goals.

Couple times we have scored a couple this season then got too bold going forward and caused our own problems. Is all right to keep it a bit tight when you go up. It simple game management.

22 Apr 2016 14:35:17
I think too many people are failing to see The Hat's philosophy. He clearly believes that as long as we score more than the other team then it doesn't matter (to a certain extent) how many the other mob score. He accepts the fact that we will concede more often than expected but this is counterbalanced by an attacking approach.

He clearly values ball playing ability and reading the game above aerial prowess. To find a player who is good on the deck and in the air at a price we can afford is a challenge. He has chosen his favourite attributes and that is the way it is.

We saw on Sunday that he will not deviate from his way of playing irrespective of the opposition and for me that is excellent. As time goes on the team will only get better by keeping to this ethos and as the kids are being taught to play that way it will continue for a long time hopefully.

21 Apr 2016 13:29:25
I hope (and believe) that Falkirk beat Hibs in the play-offs and that Dundee United fans eat Championship pies next season. In fact, I hope that Falkirk go up to the SPL as I admire what their manager has achieved this season. What goes around.

21 Apr 2016 16:52:19
I hope killie stay up.

Falkirk are a good team but I want valks at rangers next season and them getting promoted will only increase his price.

Hope hibs and Celtic feeder utd enjoy the championship for years to come.

21 Apr 2016 18:02:40
Luigi

Why do you think Valks will be at Rangers next season?

22 Apr 2016 13:15:43
Biffo, i Don't claim to have any inside information, I just rate the guy, though he was outstanding in both our loses at falkirk. I'm surprised nobody else has tried to snap him up.

21 Apr 2016 13:14:26
Dunno how this will go, but with his conviction being quashed would anyone take ched evans?

21 Apr 2016 13:53:31
had bags of potential before everything happened. if he is cleared, and still could do a decent job I would take him. Only if he is cleared though.

21 Apr 2016 14:21:58
No he's not kicked a ball in over 4 years And has a retrial to go through and would bring to much unwanted publicity to the club.

21 Apr 2016 15:39:20
Absolutely not. We aren't that kind of club its happened in Scottish football before and should never be allowed to happen again.

21 Apr 2016 16:17:28
some one will take him on but I would not expect warbs
will be one of his suitors.

21 Apr 2016 18:04:46
There are plenty of players we could go for so why go for someone with that kind of baggage. Don't know how long a re trial will take and until it's finished and if he gets found not guilty then I doubt anyone will take him.

22 Apr 2016 10:20:27
Warburon would never touch a player like that, the work that goes on background checks on incoming players is incredible, we do some amount of homework before we sign anyone now, it's really amazing how much rangers have changed under the gaffer, in my opinion I think warbs is superb.

22 Apr 2016 11:51:43
I think the guy would score bags of goals in Scotland in a team like ours.

22 Apr 2016 13:19:21
He's got a retrial to deal with before he can think about anything else.

Read a lot about his case and doubts over his conviction, appeal judge clearly thinks that he has some questions to answer otherwise wouldn't have ordered retrial.

21 Apr 2016 07:30:57
Although a disappointing result against hibs last night due to woeful defending in which hibs didn't need to work for their goals I would just like to heap praise once again in our outstanding wide player wee barrie mckay, as well as his wonder goal again last night some of his pinpoint passing through the eye of a needle was exceptional, hand on heart here bears if raheem sterling is worth 50million quid surely to god within a couple of years barrie mckay will be worth over 10million quid that's how highly I rate the boy and with further development under warbs I reckon he'll play in the english premiership with a top club within the next 3 years. he has everything in his locker to go to the very top in football, what's your thoughts fellow bears?

21 Apr 2016 18:07:15
Can't compare Sterling to McKay. One plays in one of the best leagues in the world while the other plays in Scotland's second tier. McKay has been great this season and let's hope he goes on to play well for both Rangers and Scotland. You can really only compare them if McKay plays in the EPL.

21 Apr 2016 21:04:25
The difference is one is a money grabbing sod and the other plays for the mighty Glasgow rangers.

21 Apr 2016 19:58:59
Biffo316, how am I comparing them as equals as I'm 40 million quid apart on my valuation of barrie mckay to what raheem sterling went from liverpool to man city for, that's what I took into account when saying I reckon mckay would be worth over 10million quid in a transfer to england in a few years time, I was also trying to point out that I don't think that there would be anywhere near 40million quid between these two wide players when imo mckay hits the big time, hope I've cleared that up for you mate.

22 Apr 2016 13:21:55
In a few years time he will be a free transfer unless we give him a longer deal.

21 Apr 2016 12:14:41
What do you think about bringing Haris Vuckic back. Still only 23, contract at Newcastle expires this summer I think and currently on loan at Wigan. He knows what it means to play for us and at that age would have a sell-on value. Suits Warbs attacking philosophy and could be a standout in Europe. Any thoughts?

21 Apr 2016 12:31:28
Was too lazy for me, but had undoubted talent.

21 Apr 2016 12:33:59
Not at all. he's played on average 40 minutes per game he has been used. he isn't good enough for Wigan then he isn't good enough to help us challenge next year. all that being said, why would we actually want him? he plays on the wing or as an attacking mid. we have an attacking mid coming up in the summer, also Mckay and O'hal are far better than him.

21 Apr 2016 13:10:15
I'm actually shocked someone disagreed with me haha, which bit did someone disagree with? the wigan bit? the minutes used? the positions he plays? the fact we have better players already?

21 Apr 2016 13:27:52
Too slow, although for free he could be useful. Did have a cracking left peg on him.

21 Apr 2016 14:26:57
he was just the best of a bad bunch, wouldn't be hard to shine in that group. him and wallace were the best there.

21 Apr 2016 16:36:40
You said if he isn't good enough for Wigan then he ain't good enough for us next year, we have tav, waggy and kiernen who couldn't get a game for Wigan and now look at them. Forrester couldn't get a game for Doncaster and now look at him. That's what I disagreed with.

21 Apr 2016 18:08:50
I doubt he will go however is he better than what we currently have? Of course he is so he would improve the team.

22 Apr 2016 08:18:11
SeaOfIbrox, all of which are slightly different, Forrester had been watched by Warbs before, and kept an eye on him after he went to Doncaster. Tav, Waggy and Kiernan, Warburton knew all about. Tav done a good job on loan at Barnsley, Waggy did get a game for Wigan, He played in 25 matches for them last season? and again Rob Kiernan played 30 games for them. Warburton had been watching them, even played against them. like I said, if he can't get a game for wigan then no thanks.

21 Apr 2016 11:21:59
I don't like to post about non football matters but i'm intersted to see now what the view is on this page about going to follow Rangers in away games next year in the SPL or Scottish Premiership whatever you want to call it. i'm of the opinion that when our club was mismanaged all the top flight clubs couldn't wait to point the finger at us and personally I won't go to away games and buy there tickets for the money to go to these clubs. I fully understand that some Bears will say I've not missed a game in ex amount of years and I get that but I won't be giving these clubs money and instead money spend on the bus, (public transport to the game) the match ticket, the hour in the pub before and after the game the pie whatever you spend your money on going to an away game best to save that and follow Rangers in our numbers when we get back into europe. I understand that our fans want to follow and support the club everywhere and anywhere just my opinion.

21 Apr 2016 11:47:51
I think the team will need all the away support they can get next season, but I agree, I don't want these other teams taking our money from our support.
Im sure we can all refrain from buying their pies though! ;)

21 Apr 2016 12:08:58
I just remember the hate that I felt against us from every club wanting Rangers battered. The song does say no one likes us we don't care and its true. I would never knock a Rangers supporter for going to away game and I know if I was offered a ticket for and old firm game at the east end of the city I would take it.

21 Apr 2016 12:54:28
What bout putting ex amount to rangers fund for players evry second week. ? Bit unlikely but if it was done it would be awesome. especially if 40,000 did it regularly,? Around even £10 a fortnight, watch away games on tv etc, imagine the extra income for special signings? It may be undoable, but it would be good for Rangers, Tho, if I remember rightly only Killie refused to vote, I wouldn't boycott them, this is my last go here ED, maybe you could let me know if I'm not wanted
Tommy.

{Ed033's Note - This site is for people to talk about Rangers and not to talk about other posters in a demeaning manner.

21 Apr 2016 13:16:51
It would be great to send every single away ticket back to the other club unsold as an 'up yours' but in reality it would have a negative affect on the team.

Dundee United in particular were nothing short of poisonous towards our club and this should not be forgotten. The sheer jealousy and venom shown by their chairman was disappointing to say the least.

I agree with a poster above though that says he will not be attending away matches, its hard to disagree but could you imagine no bears at the piggery? No chance.

I think the best thing would be to partially forget the way we were treated, United will be in the Championship next year anyway and most likely will struggle to come straight back up. Karma is a bitch.

21 Apr 2016 13:25:41
I've written about this before and this is my opinion on the matter, it's people own choice and no matter what you think we are all Rangers Fans, me. I've followed Rangers home, away and Europe for 56 years, and it saddened me to choose to stop going to away games 4 years ago when they all tryed to destroy us. what I do is spend my money at home games and buy extra raffle tickets for the half time raffle, which if I ever won it would donate it back to the club. I won't buy any merchandise from S. D. Jumble sales and haven't bought a paper in years either I Shall Never Forget What They Tryed To Do To Us NEVER FORGET to those who follow to away games great but don't spend to much in there grounds Follow Follow the best and only show in town!

21 Apr 2016 14:44:35
Its really interesting hearing different points of view and I can see everyones point.

Tomtom12 you are right and my apologies Kilmarnock didn't vote. I remember now

The point on putting money towards the club is a good one but ambitious same with the point about sending clubs there tickets back and I can fully understand wanting to go and support our team. I was truely amazing as to how bad it was the hatred towards us. Celtic Dundee Utd Aberdeen I expected it from.

21 Apr 2016 14:57:06
Pains me but no away games for me except Killie or lower division teams in the cups. Maybe it's bitterness or whatever but that's my position.

21 Apr 2016 15:29:19
Its all about opinions. I can see why you feel that way. Hopefully the powers that be can get ride of the elements behind the merchandise and we can start buying our kids there favourite replica strips again.

21 Apr 2016 16:57:39
I don't get this feeling of hate you all have against premiership teams the sfa tried to shoe horn you into the top league after liquidation which rightfully most clubs said no as meant you racked up tens of millions of debt clean your hands of it and just take your place in top league as if nothing had happened afternoon liquidated? Then the championship or old first division teams knocked you back also so why no hate towards them why no boycotts or tickets being sent back to clubs the last two years. The football authorities have helped your team out big time the last four years you should be thankful not all Walter Smith and bitter?

22 Apr 2016 10:34:11
What planet are u on bigp nobody helped us, the fans helped the club by having 50.000 at 3rd division right through to now, if it wasn't for this club being the best supported club in the country that's fact btw then God knows we're Rangers would be now.

22 Apr 2016 13:27:24
Let's move on, it's done. Bitterness helps nobody and archives nothing.

If fans from other clubs want to be bitter and sing pathetic songs like "your not rangers anymore". Let them. If we ignore it then the jokes on them.

21 Apr 2016 10:46:06
Last night brought us all back down to earth and actually came as no surprise. Four away losses to Falkirk and Hibs, conceding 3 goals in 4 of our last 5 league matches and our normal 70% possession and lots of corners. I don't have the figures in front of me but off the top of my head I reckon we score one goal from every 100 corners and concede one out of 10.

Accepting that we can't take corners, can't attack the few which reach the penalty area and that we don't have centre backs to add any kind of threat, whether it's against an Alloa, Dumbarton or Peterhead, I hope we are looking to sign the type of centre forward who can turn these set pieces into goal scoring opportunities. A clone of Andy Carroll would do.

21 Apr 2016 12:32:45
I think we will sort defence fr cup final. what worrys me most is amount position we have don't create a lot of chances have no cutting edge. even Celtic game played them off park but they ended up with more chances.

21 Apr 2016 10:36:09
Glad to finally see wee McKay getting the praise he has deserved, he is proving all the "hes got no pace" squad wrong.

21 Apr 2016 10:31:31
Next season we will have a much stronger squad when Clark law shields and the rest that are out of contract leave and are replaced with quality impact players. with the team we have at the moment we will make all our posession count and some experience will help our young team . we have been amazing this season there has been some talking points but mostly about the football on the park and for most of it we have been excellent . we are not even 1 season in with this group and we are on for a treble I think we have very exciting times to come.

21 Apr 2016 10:22:31
I hope fans aren't to upset by last nights result, in my honest opinion the players put so much into Sunday's game with Celtic this game came to soon,
Onto another subject what fans thoughts on resting some players and giving some of the youth players a game or two, I know most of the best under 20,s are out on loan but I just think we need to start giving some young players a game now the leagues won, what's other fans thoughts.

21 Apr 2016 08:40:45
I've only just thought about this after a chat with a few colleagues regarding the play-offs and the Cup final. with the current dates of the 19th and 22nd being for the Premiership play off final and the Scottish cup being on the 21st, how will the SFA work this one out?

21 Apr 2016 09:38:41
Hahaha classic SFA.

21 Apr 2016 09:47:48
You really that shocked at the sfa? bunch of numptys could organise a pis* up in a brewery! 😂😂.

21 Apr 2016 10:17:31
Well I hope Hibs won't be given any help if they end up in the final of the playoffs because we weren't in 08 on our run to the uefa cup final "sporting integrity and all that"

21 Apr 2016 13:22:41
Absolutely Tommyj79, as we were quite eloquently told back in the day 'sporting integrity is everything'. I seem to remember Rangers having to play 8 games in 17 days including a UEFA Cup final. No help from out beloved 'governing' body there despite the kudos the country would have gained by us winning it.

Unfortunately as with a lot of things connected with Rangers this appears to be a one way street though if we complain we are in danger of sounding like another 'victim' club not too far away.

21 Apr 2016 14:29:55
They announced Dates last week the last play off game will be moved till after the cup final 25th a think it was with the 1st leg the week before.

21 Apr 2016 08:16:32
Im not to worried about last nights result in the sense that I felt we only had one clear cut chance to me it was Holts effort at the end yet we still managed to score twice. Going into the cup final with Hibs we definatly need to be better and if we do what we can do we should win the game. Our centre halfs where a shadow of how they played against Celtic.

I would like to know what you think about Jason Cummings. Is there better strikers Rangers should go for and Would Hibs sell to us?

Really think we should have given Barrie McKay the money he wanted for a longer contract.

21 Apr 2016 09:41:03
The guy is clearly talented, the draw back being he seems like a wee F4nny! Wouldn't like to see him upset our current attitude. I'm sure there are many others with his ability at the same price.

21 Apr 2016 10:21:04
Wouldn't want cummings near our club and also wouldn't want to give Hibs a single bean and they'd prob bump the price they wany up by about 200% if rangers came calling for one of their players. Let them rot in the championship for as long as possible.

21 Apr 2016 11:13:12
I also think and always have thought better to buy in the lower leagues in England for the money you are going to spend.

21 Apr 2016 07:36:02
Not too worried about the result last night (except my coupons getting burst to bits) . Doesn't really effect us in the long run.

What will effect us in the long run is our inability to deal with set pieces, corners in particular.

21 Apr 2016 00:37:37
i know Jason Cummings has a lot of baggage but he would definitely add something to our team. Would go in for him in the summer without a doubt.

21 Apr 2016 07:46:14
Play Ball at C. B.

21 Apr 2016 00:05:00
One question after tonight.

When is Harry Forrester back?
