Geofromedin: I am not one of those people to come out with ' that crap' as I have never said Aird shouldn't be in the team and I don't slag off Ally for the sake of it either.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Johns, You do come out with all that crap, consistently. I accept that the pro-ally brigade are totally entitled to their slant on our position, but the total drivel that you utter borderlines on lunacy. Try taking a couple of paces back and join the real world. I honestly think that the majority of our fans want a stable club winning at the top level. This will never happen while you and your like-minded support the current management team. Likewise, orchestrated protests against the board will very shortly be the ruin of our once great institution.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb : That's your wonderful assessment is it? You say I talk crap - ok let me see you don't want me backing the team but you don't want protests either, tell you what at least I am in one camp, your neither one or the other and YOUR type are the ruination of this club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johns a bit ott

Agree0 Disagree0

Johns, The ruination of our club was that people who put life back into us did not do it for the love of Rangers, but for an easy buck. They used our desire to survive to bring cash in. They got the club for a song and have ensured they got a good return. To do this, part of the key was to have manager suitable to the fans who had the drawing power. Their dreams came true when Ally voiced '' we don't do walking away''. He already was a legend as a player and took on the task of securing our return to the 'big time'. He was given a deal that was more than lucrative and we'll leave that there.
At this point, we had an opportunity to put a team on the park to return our club to where we feel we should be. Ally chose the easy option, in using seasoned pros on high wages.
In my opinion, he is not a good football manager but would find work in public relations and sales.
Re the protests, they do no good and our only hope, at present, is to back Mr Wallace to make tough decisions. Hopefully he can turn things around but he is fighting an uphill battle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb: Hold on a second, a minute ago you said it was something else that was the ruination of this club, something like people like me, hence my reply, I may consistently talk drivel but you have NO consistency, which as I said not one thing or the other.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on chaps let's not fallout, I do agree that ally has not done anything to take our club forward, please don't start throwing stats at me about unbeaten runs and over 100 goals, the product on the park is p@sh, the good players we have with the exception of wallace have gone backwards, I also agree that the time has been missed for protests, as the club need our money and they need it yesterday wo we now find ourselves in a lose lose situation, but I will whenever I have spare cash be happy to support our club whoever is there, but in reality the coaching staff are dire and
if the board had had any sense they would have tried to get enough money to say thanks ally but it not good enough, but i'm afraid we will have to wait till there's no promotion this year before that happens, so in my heart I suppose ally will be boss next year too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johns, Read my reply[2] again. Their are 2 points--- i] With Ally in charge I don't see us making any real progress on the park. ii] The orchestrated protests, starving our club of funds, will be the ruination. At the moment, we must back Wallace to make the difficult decisions. Be it funding, player sourcing or staff selections etc. We will not always agree on the way forward, but he must be allowed to try. In my opinion, we must pick an option and that would be my choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah we have not progressed as we should have under Ally. but first time under Smith we should have left Celtic for dead with a decent youth policy and didn't (remember shields and Wilson playing v ajax but not playing in the next league game at home?). this is nothing new. its just happening in much more trying circumstances. its an attitude that has to change if we are to succeed and stop the rot. i'd love to see (putting my hard hat on for protection now) McLeish back for a couple of years. he handled cuts and apart from one really really horrible year delivered.

Agree0 Disagree0

Weescotia, No hard hat needed, good sensible option.

JonnoSTB : Your correct, exactly my point, Templeton changed the game, he took advantage of Hibs being down to 10 men, it's ok for a team to lose a man but you must take advantage of that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It was actually Templeton that got fouled for the red card so he changed the game

Stewie, I am not saying he's a tactical genius, no I didn't think much of that substitution either but eh everything on it's merits eh.

Simon lappin signs for st. j, now after all the pelters ally took when it was suggested on here that he was interested in him, how long will it take after he does something spectacular at st. j for the same people to come on and moan that we didn't sign him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He was only replacement if wallace was leaving

@1 ally was still given pelters on here for supposedly being interested in him even though this was never confirmed or denied by Rangers .

Cannot believe all you fans being taken in by the 8-1 Clyde result (18 replies to ONE post)
so Ally is now a world beater again and coach of the year, I have defended Ally in the past but fans need a sense of balance. it was a part time Clyde team managed by a manager WORSE than ours BF whose tactics were non existant.
Ally this year MUST do better in the cups (all of them) as well as winning league.
I see he is again asking wallace for more money we do not need more overpaid players give the young boys a decent chance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just read on news now that's he's looking to offer former keeper lee robinson a 1 yr contract

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we all know it was only Clyde and this is the big season for us, but put it this way, if we had demolished teams like that over the past couple of seasons we maybe would be more optimistic now and maybe the result has provoked a sense of light relief for the fans. Onthe flip side I can't believe so many fans are treating it like a funeral.

U have lost the plot pal! Never seen any gers fans who were "taken in " by the clyde result, only mainly honest opinions!
You mate are the type of person who slaughters young men like Barry Ferguson, why? He is vastly experienced in playing the game at the highest level, now he, s learning his trade again the lowest level, and people like you think tactics would have changed that result? How can you possibly justify slagging the guy as a manager? Get a mirror m8
Tommy

Agree0 Disagree0

CLARKSON BUD What are you on about mate no one has been taken in by the clyde result. It was a great result and it was much needed for a confidence booster. But somehow you have managed to turn it into a bad thing??? And in regards to barry Ferguson give the guy a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

@OP - I am willing to bet dollar to doughnuts that you would have been on here calling for Ally's head if it had been anything less. You and your ilk are actually an embarrassment to the support. All you are interested in is your own silly little "Ally Out" agenda. Who do you think would come in to follow him? Get a grip on yourself and try living in the real world. We won 8-1, we are on our way back up and all in the shadow of a club that is crumbling around us. But all you are interested in is "Ally Out" - PATHETIC.

So we r now back to the wee cup as it always was now Hibs and Hearts r out, Rangers and the lower league teams, just how I like it, lol!

JG: Yes I feel it was as much if not more due to Templeton coming on as the Hibs red card which changed that game, he had immediate impact.

Just seen the highlights of the Septics game on ssn and Craig Gordon was pulling of some stunning saves, we invite him to get fit and let him slip through our fingers Well Done!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I saw the game he fumbled a few shots his kicking was poor and if we had got him you lot would be on here moaning abot his wage andhow fit he is poor ally can't get anything right in most of our we are the people it will take time to get back up there but we will look around at teams who have sufferd the same fate as us most will never get back to what they were

Agree0 Disagree0

Rnagers can't win can they? If we had signed him people would be moaning that we signed another player that has past it and hasn't played for nearly 3 years

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Aug 2014 15:58:52
Ed, how many more people on here who don't understand Gordon's wage requirements, he was way out of our structure,
And is most likely playing for a return to England,

Agree0 Disagree0

Tommy45 I don't think cg would have been out of our pay bracket what's he done in the last 3years he could be a liability imagine offering signing him then he had a breakdown all of these facts would have been put to cg before celtic signed him and I imagine his insurence would not help but I don't think he will be on much with celtic he would have signed trying to get noticed by big clubs in england definetly would not have been out of our reach pay wise he would have apreciated being givin the opertunity

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig is not interested in a return to England. He is happy to play at a decent level just now and wants to get back into the Scotland squad. He was waiting for an offer to sign for Rangers, but because it never came he went elsewhere. Source - the man himself!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jonnostb my point was about the pay bracket at ibrox but do you think if chelsea /man utd or some of the big clubs make celtic an offer he would not jump at it of course he would
