'Young' Lawrence Shankland is older than a third of our squad and is nowhere near the level required. Jones has pace and nothing else, another Mickey O'Horrible. The lack of ambition here is ridiculous. Even Lafferty wouldn't be a guaranteed starter. The name of the game is to improve us, not drag us backwards.

I've seen Jones on TV a few times including last weekend against us and he seems to have a fair bit of skill as well as pace. He was their danger man against us.

I'd drop Kent for Candeias. His work rate, direct play and effort is admiral but he's not contributed to one single goal in all the minutes he's played. Candeias gives just as much with his industrious play but he also has an excellent final delivery at times something that Kent doesn't.

I do not dislike Wallace, however he has not kicked a ball in nearly a year, past his best and would struggle to deliver in our present style.

He also expressed a reluctance to pick him while he is in dispute with the club and described it as 'a serious situation' which doesn't sound at all like he definitely won't go. Wallace will be away either this window or the next when he can sign a pre-contract with someone else, probably his preferred option.
