So MR Wallace is alive!

I see he is saying he has unanimous support from the management team and staff regarding future redundancies or staff cuts?

I find that statement incredible considering people will lose their jobs, turkey's voting for Christmas comes to mind.

He also says he doesn't feel there is any challenge to his authority or plans to move things forward?

If that is the case then why has he not moved Stockbridge and the rest of the high earners at the club, and why has he not ripped up the contract of "media house" and get rid of the toxic jack and his cohorts. I suspect they will start at the bottom and get rid of hard working staff first and then drag it on till nearer season ticket renewals to fool the fans yet again.
If mr Wallace has the power he says he has then show the fans this unchallenged power and start at the very top, only then will the fans believe your plan.

How many consultants do rangers employ at the moment?

How many accountants do rangers employ at the moment?

How much has rangers saved sine the start of the 120 day overview?

When will Stockbridge resign?

Why will the club continue to spend uneccesary funds?

There are probably hundreds of question that need honesty, clarity and truthful answers from mr Wallace

We are waiting and counting the days

Over to you mr Wallace

RR

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think Mr Wallace now realises the can of worms that are Rangers finances.
Probably the lucrative contracts many are on will cost nearly as much to cancel as it would to keep them employed.
I feel that his task is well nigh impossible without erasing everything and starting again. Again that is impractical.
Green has the whole situation so tied in knots and who knows maybe Mr Wallace will be forced to sell our assets at fire sale prices.

Agree0 Disagree0

We will find out if mr wallace is worth keeping at ibrox by his plans on the 120 days he asked for cause imo stockbridge should be removed for starters if stockbridge ain't moved then that tells me that mr wallace is only taking orders if wallace doesn't remove current board how can we trust him ffs a blind man can see board are only taking money out with no plans other than to put us out the game

Agree0 Disagree0

Tmwnn - you are missing a couple of small but important details

The first obligation of the board of any PLC company is to the shareholders of the company who elected them, in the case of of a company who operate a football club there is also the additional duty to the fans of the club.

Sorry if that's bad news to some but that is how any plc company works

Wallace was elcted buy over 80% of the shareholders therefore he should have unquestionable authority to wield the axe and turn the company around, one problem he faces though is that 56% (37M out of 65M) shareholders also voted Stockbridge onto the board, therefore making it awkward for the CEO to bump him just over a month after the AGM, no matter how much the fans want that to happen

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

JG Wallace says £7m playing costs too much, and needs few millions saving!

WOW - that's not 15% cuts, that's 20-30% cut in playing costs. Wake up his figures don't add up.

Green said player costs would be 30% - a tough ask, yet now spivs want savings of few millions in the £7m player costs. ?

how is this credible? There is £14m other spending elsewhere - why not cut there?

sam

Agree0 Disagree0

Jg I see what you are saying and until we find out green hamed and the rest of these hustlers have no interest in blue pitch or magarita or any of these unknown shareholders groups I will always wonder why stockbridge has not been sacked I ask you how can these big shareholders be pleased with stockbridge imo its chas and his crew that own the lot thus keep bs he knows how to skin us

Agree0 Disagree0

Tmwnn – it’s no coincidence that stockbridge received 37m votes for election while three of the gang of four received 37m votes against election,
Murray received 34m against so someone holding 3m split from that group and actually voted for him (Incidentally Mike Ashley holds 3m)
What does that mean?
It means that at the time of the AGM, from the the original group who bought the assets minus Green and Ahmed’s personally held shares (they were sold) plus easdale and laxey who probably bought green and ahmeds shares between them and stated they would vote for the existing board (stockbridge) then that group held between them about 56% of all shares,
It also means that 44% of shareholders did not vote for stockbridge to be elected
That’s why I encourage fans to keep buying shares, every single share bought by us is one more share closer to tipping that balance.
Shares don’t have to be bought through any complicated supporters group schemes, if you go and buy 200 shares for 56 quid, you will have 200 votes at the next AGM or any EGM which may take place.
Then each fan could actually make a difference, rather than just writing about it on the internet

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Jg I still believe green and amhed still own there shares maybe its been made to look like they don't but they have worked with laxey and they brought the easdales in so I can't imagine green nor amhed seling up these kind of people are all asset strippers and they will be the last of the vultures to leave a rotten carcass in my opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

JG what about the other 30% shares and can dilute any fan stake.

your "fans can buy shares and save club" is sheer fantasy.

I've posted a few times referring to the overspend of the club.
I still think ally has blame for contracts offered to new players.
Many here say he has no say in this, he may not but to all those defenders answer me why he is spending all this money on pre match stuff.
Ally's response I will continue to do this until told otherwise.
WHAT, he has to be told not to overspend money needed.
This is what the problem is with so called rangers men, their mentality hasn't changed, spend big to win. I don't care who runs the club as long as we live, spend within means, and play good football. At the moment we are barely alive, bleeding money and playing negative football.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Most contracts are negotiated between agents and the chief executive, very rarely does a manager get in on the specifics of what is offered on a contract)

I understand that Ed but my blame is
Ally choosing these players that demand these high wages,

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I am not a big fan as Ally as manager but he identified targets and the board made it happen mate, as much as I think he is tactically naive and should have done his shopping better, the board quite simply should have said, sorry Ally, but we cant pay those wages, come back to us with some other names ............ they didnt do that)

Ed is it true that the hotel Rangers were at is still owed an outstanding bill from the oldco if so what are your thoughts on it.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I dont actually know, I am sure there is a list of creditors somewhere, so many of them to remember their names/busineses, but regardless, the team should have made their way by coach on Monday afternoon and back on the Monday night, regardless of the financial situation. A couple of hours on the bus didnt do Ally and the 9 in a row boys any harm did it. Pampered primadonas (spelling) is what comes to mind with this one)

OP the ED is probably correct in that agents and Ibrox executives will agree the final deals but Ally will know ball- park what these guys will be looking for in terms of salary. I agree also about the decision on the pre match pampering- that was Ally's and will be an embarrassment to Mr Wallace in our circumstances. He must get to grips with waste like that or it will be death by a thousand small cuts. We are still Rangers FC but we are a weakened patient very far from rude health and need to get onto the peasant diet and leave others to dine at the King's table.
Mr Wallace had to ask about playing staff salary savings but should have gone to the players with a deal showing the "top brass" had already signed up for substantial cuts to their hefty wads. He needs the manager's co-operation and needs to up his game to avoid more needless waste.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed I know what you are saying is mostly correct but don't you think someone like mather when dealing with agents isn't going to ask the manager for advice ie Blacks agent, my client wants athree year deal on 5 k per week with bonusus. Mather on the phone to Ally, here ally is this boy black worth 5k a week for 3 years ally either says yep he sure is or says something like na offer him a 2 year deal on 3k or tell him to sling it

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Yes I suppose thats right, but we have been kicked around from the boardroom down, the plan was to financially sink Rangers and having expensive players that outweigh the cash being generated was probably a way to try and disguise what was really happening and Ally fell for it big time)

@ ED Now let me just start by saying as someone who is not 100% convinced the Americans landed on the moon in the 60's - I love conspiracy theories.
And whilst not wishing to totally pour cold water on your theory can you please check that the cigars you are currently puffing on that don't look like, don't smell like and don't taste like cigars are in fact cigars?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - We do have a conspiracy theory talk page ........... but I know nothing about conspiracies)

Ed I agree to your reply to n4 I believe this was well planed next will be the sale and lease back of ibrox all planned from day one cause that's what asset strippers do only interest is themselfs and money I bet they had to use sat nav systems to find ibrox until they worked out the routes from there fancy 5 star hotels themselfs

Agree0 Disagree0

Op I've just read that a guy checked out the price rangers would have been charged for the trip the hotel the lot he said it would have cost 500 pound and if this is true I think it was worth it saving the team a hastle free tip

Agree0 Disagree0

@7, mate I think you've missed a "0" out there, playing squad, staff dinner, bed & breakfast for £500, defo sounds wrong to me, but maybe Ali paid for it?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I work in a Fort William hotel and we wouldnt have done it for any less than 3 grand. And we aint 4* Carnoustie Hotel either)

N8 I got my figures from a guy that posted it yesterday in yesterdays glasgow evening times I don't know if ed will print name of newspaper but if so he could send you name of newspaper

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, post it in.}

The guy with the figures said he asked the hotel and cause its got no golf the hotel would have apreciated the business

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I don't know how to post things on but it was in said paper first its the rangers stories then comments selection it wason the day or day before I posted the story ide imagine somebody wit the know how could get a hold of all comments posted in the paper I mentioned

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I just had a look at the glasgow evening times sports comments for today and its refered to in todays edition

Still the Ally haters on here, no doubt the same ones who hated Le Guen, get a grip, we don't need Wenger or the like to get out of league 1, aye tactics are poor, performances well below what we would like, just hang in there. Everybody is having a go, and its a poor show from some bears with their comments, I endured the great John Greigs tenure, and that was painful, let's give it another season, and if things go badly, Ally will do walking away, Always a Ranger.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Billyblackpool, it is not a case of being an Ally hater it is just a fact that he is not a good manager. Ally and his coaching staff are costing the club £800k+, whereas a good manager and coach could be in place for £250k.
Similarly the position that Stockbridge holds could be filled by someone more able for half the cost.
Just with the above, you are looking at £1M+ and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Wallace must act and act now, right across the whole spectrum of our club.
It will be difficult but our position is dire.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heres my tuppence worth

Im a Rangers fan not an Ally fan not a Walter Fan not a Advocate fan Etc Etc regardless of who you are or what you have done if you are not up to the job then you are not up to the job.

Ally was and always will be a legend as a player no one can take that away from him, but as a manager I don't think he's up for the job. there are guys out there doing a much better job than ally getting paid much less with much less money to spend on players wages playing more attractive football in a more competative league guys who would jump at the job to manage Rangers guys like Stuart McColl Terry Butcher Alex McLeish to name a few guys with a proven record in football managment.

im sick to the back teeth of all this sentimental rubbish on here about ally and durrant and what they brought to the club as players well guys they are not players now they are Managment and they are not up to it.

Rangers owe these guys nothing they done a great job for Rangers as players as I stated but they were paid handsomely for their work.

what we need now is a manager who can take young players and develop them a scouting system that can find undescovered talent and devolpe that talent, Ally only buys so called proven players and he does that badly.

It hurts me to say but Ally and his backroom staff are just not up to the job

Agree0 Disagree0

Wallace is another puppet, if he wanted costs down then it would have happened by now.

Ps. Seems to be a lot of first time posters against ally, they never write anything else.

Agree0 Disagree0

You better watch lochaberbear. everything you said is 100% correct

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 3 I hope your referance to "first time posters against Ally" was not regarding my post m8 as Ed will confirm I have been a member of this site for a very very long time infact I was posting on this site before we even had our very own Ed, I only post when I have something I think is worth saying not just the same repetitive drivel time after time

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Can confirm LB has been poster for a longtime, even when I was a poster before I became Rangers editor)

See, all of this nonsense really does my head in. Ally McCoist has the team sitting 20 points clear. That's seven games clear. All this nonsense about not performing as a manager, where is it coming from? We are winning games and unbeaten in the league. Performances do not gain extra points, only goals do that and we are sitting well where we are. What more can the man do? Some people really need to wake up!

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 I guess he might be talking about me. Ok @3 here's something else - you're right, wallace is another tube.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good result last night and 20 points clear in mid January. A pity the ref didn't take action against some outrageous tackles against McCleod.

McCoist has got the squad right. Last night proved we can't play a youth team against teams in this division. In the EPL, there would have been at last two red cards against Forfar. I'm sure the manager would like more experienced referees but we just have to get through this phase.

I still support McCoist and believe he's a great manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Last nights referee was not an inexperienced ref, I believe it was his 4th Rangers match this season)

Sorry kfraser, sometimes when someone offers a case for an opinion directly opposite from mine I think ''maybe this offers something to consider'', but to say McCoist is a great manager is incredulous. Of all his positive qualities, this is certainly not one of them.
Great managers are rare, although we have had a few, I have no doubts that we now have the worst in our history.

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 a pint of what your on if you think Ally is a good manager. I would expect a full time team full of ex SPL players on wage bill of £6-7m a year to be 20 points clear against part time players. It doesn't take a great manager to do that. His team doesn't play attractive football, he has signed average players like Foster, Smith, Black and put them on silly wages and the majority of his team will be done by the time we get back to the top league, the youth policy is practically non existent and he isn't able to develop young players. Course if you think that makes him a good manager then u must be easily pleased! Can you please tell us why u think he is such a good manager please?

Agree0 Disagree0

I am talking about people like blueice, reality bites, like they have just been made up to have a dig.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 and 8 yes I know we are sitting top running away with the league but we are in the third tier of scottish football and just for a reality check on all you fellow bears who think Ally is doing a great job didn't Queen of the South win the very same league last season by 25 or so points.

I bet Jim McIntyre isn't on 70k a year never mind a month also Rangers players wage bill for one month is more than Q O S for the season so let's not get carried away with our achievments this season good as it may be

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Great post LB)

Why is it a great post Ed? We beat QOTS 3-0 away and their top scorer from last season now plays for us in a lower division, if you want to pay our manager 60k a year and our players the same as QOTS we will end up with a team that plays like QOTS but that is what some people seem to want.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - QOTS beat us at home last season)

Ed we can't compare the two games, look at the team we had out and compare it to the team we have now. It was a miracle we won the league last year but my point (not very well made) is that we can't reduce our wage bill further without reducing the quality of player we attract to our club, we have to hit the ground running when we reach the top league or we will be lambs to the slaughter in old firm games and that cannot be acceptable to anyone surely, I've said it before, but the wages we pay is directly proportionate to our crowds and season ticket sales. How much do other fans of teams in our league pay for their season ticket?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Yes but this was a chance to build over a few years, with a core of young players from the bottom up, they would be battle hardened by the time the Prem came around, but once again we have found ourselves kicked from pillar to post, I am not solely blaming Ally, alot of folk should be having a good long look at themselves in the mirror but I have said many times the business model has been all wrong)

@ 13 / 14 What is your opinion of Murray Park? Was it a good decision to build it and is there any point of keeping it open at hundreds of thousands of pounds if not millions of pounds per year running costs?
A lot of us on here who do not share your enthusiasm for Ally's management cannot understand why Peter Paulett is doing so well for Aberdeen, Forrest is doing well for Celtic, McGinn is doing well for St Mirren Boyd's young colleague is doing well at Kilmarnock, Armstrong, Gauld and Scotland's Messi have been doing well at Dundee United but "there is no young talent in Scotland"
Some of us don't hate Ally we just wish he hadn't gone down the same road of cheque book management that we cannot afford or sustain that appears to have led us to potential oblivion number 2

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 "caller" Number 10 has taken the words from my mouth. Ally is a playing legend but "great manager"? Oaft!
John Greig the greates Ranger ever- a much greater legend than Ally couldn't do it either but at least he managed in the top division. We gave him 5 years which was 4 more than he should have had. I think if we do not go pop this year he will probably be the manager next year and might even get us to the top league. But it will be fairly turgid stuff with little if any flair and achieved because we have a better class of experienced professional (that we currently cannot afford) not anything to do with exciting innovative management flair or ability. But once in the top league?

Agree0 Disagree0

We have had youths out on loan getting games in the league 2, 1 and championship so they are getting the experience of the leagues and if there good enough to merit a place in rangers first 11, then surely they would be stand outs for there loan club?

Agree0 Disagree0

What a mess you guys are in over Ally. I don't know the guy, so I can't comment on him personally. But as a manager he is brutal, has no insight, has favourites (true they are all guilty of that ) and worst of all seems to have no tactical ability. I can understand loyalty to him but he's had that, he's pushed it and in my humble opinion abused it. You will not succeed or progress as a club with him as manager. Full stop.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ed309 - Yes, QOS beat us at home, but have a look at the game. they scored a goal that was three yards offside with a linesman who ran away laughing about it.

We were robbed! Yes we should have won, but those are facts.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - You are right, we should have won, that is the point trying to be made here ........ and we didnt)
