So called best referee in Scottish football ?

I wasn't at the game today due to work commitments but just watched the highlights and WTF ( sorry for the French ) was he's he thinking about surrounding MOH penalty claim?

He was bang in line and sitting back on my comfy sofa at home 25 miles away from Ibrox I can see it's a penalty and yet he was ten yards away and can't see MOH getting tripped? I know refs get questioned week in and week out but jeez this has got to be one of the worst efforts from the blind in black ever!

On a positive note I thought MOH was quite positive today of what I seen but it's highlights and also Hyndman's through ball was a touch of visionary which we've been lacking!

22 Jan 2017 09:33:01
We should no by now that we will get nothing from Thomson, he hates us, although to be fair he doesn't particular like the crowd in the East End of Glasgow either!

22 Jan 2017 11:48:35
Refs get multiple decisions wrong in every game. Yesterday's was not that bad and i watched it live and the replay, which was from the refs angle and i couldn't tell if it was a foul. Still not convinced it was a penalty. There is no conspiracy.

22 Jan 2017 12:39:59
Definitely a penalty. Definitely no conspiracy for me.

23 Jan 2017 17:19:28
Definitely not a conspiracy but to say you're no convinced it was a penalty is baffling mate, was the most blatent of trips. Stonewaller.

21 Jan 2017 20:33:47
All that possession and no shots on target until 80 mins is shocking and worthless. We are playing too many attack minded players out of position. Halliday not DM, McKay cuts inside too much, Waghorn needs to play through middle as does MOH and dodoo. Hodson much better than tav who is never a midfielder and today kiernan was missing at the goal. Lucky for us miller and hill along with keeper are performing.

21 Jan 2017 23:06:52
Blue Nose I agree to an extent but when you have a team sitting with 11 behind the ball and smothering the game even the best teams out there struggle to break it down . On the Hodson issue I've spoke many times on here of how much better than Tav he is as I believe ( even though he scored many a goal in the championship for us ) another badge kisser like Halliday ( not to that extreme though I may add ) and survives on past glories . We have a nucleus of a decent team here if the manager chooses to drop his favs and give other/ better players a chance .

22 Jan 2017 09:43:02
I agree Blackwood, we do have the nucleus of a good team and if Hyndman is given a first team slot instead of Holt since he looks far more industrious and a significantly better player then I believe that we will see more goals.

I also believe that Windass is a young player that can develop into a top class player as of course in McKay and with the right coaching MOH can equally blossom.

Halliday is not a Holding midfield player and playing him out of position is not doing either him or the team any favours. Perhaps when, as we hope, Rossiter is fully match fit we will solve both these issues.

I believe that we need to find a replacement for Miller and whether that is Waghorn or Dodoo I just don't know and while I would agree that Hodson is a better defender than Tavernier neither is of the quality we need to be the starting right back. We need a central defence and perhaps the young lad from Raith Rovers can be part of that but neither Wilson or Kiernan is the answer and while Wallace is a good left back he is not captain material. In essence, he is too nice a guy! We need a Souness, Butcher, Gough type, (it pains me to say it, but someone like Brown with a bit of dig and that will drive the team forward) .

But on the very positive note I am seeing some green shoots of recovery.

22 Jan 2017 16:41:10
Blackwood we've got to learn how to counter it tho other teams manage it every week

21 Jan 2017 20:00:24
First post on here chaps - Just noticed Kyle Bartley is in the last few months of his contract at Leeds
Surely it's worth going for him on a pre contract
He knows what it's all about up here and let's face it our defence is nowhere near good enough

21 Jan 2017 23:41:48
Once again Kiernan at fault for the goal today. How many times is this going to happen before he is dropped

22 Jan 2017 10:26:05
How can anyone disagree about Kiernan being at fault for their goal? He was marking Moult and then lost him allowing him to score.

22 Jan 2017 11:21:58
Be very surprised if we could get him to come back up here from leeds.

22 Jan 2017 12:11:37
Bartley is on loan at Leeds from Swansea, I don't think he is out of contract this season

22 Jan 2017 21:41:15
why would bartley come back to us?

what can we offer him?

23 Jan 2017 07:39:29
Both kiernan and hodson at fault for louis moult's goal! Don't just blame kiernan, the whipping boy, all the time, stewie25!You're not the only one who does this with blaming CERTAIN players and not others!

21 Jan 2017 19:41:35
Lads, Mark McGee's post match comments, get ready for battle at Fir Park next week!

"I'm speechless, I've not spent a lot of time talking to the players in there because I've got nothing to say to them - I'm lost for words. I can't believe what I saw in the last ten minutes of the game"

21 Jan 2017 20:04:30
Massive over exaggeration when describing the last goal as a ridiculous one to lose. Thought Rangers deserved to win so don't know why he reacted like that.

21 Jan 2017 21:11:00
McGee's reaction today is the funniest thing I've seen all season
I was very angry with our performance today - No shots on taget for 80 mins against a team like that is very very poor
McGee's reaction made me feel a lot better though

21 Jan 2017 21:11:45
We need a big striker simple as that. well done Kenny but he drops deep alot. think we should try McKay out right hand side as well. he would get more joy with his crosses on his favoured foot

21 Jan 2017 22:36:25
McGhee hates us, that is pretty obvious and for me the feeling is mutual. If Waghorn, Windass and Hyndman had been on from the start I am pretty sure it would have been all over long before half time.

Windass showed significantly more strength in driving us forward and that is no disrespect to Toral who had a decent first game and Waghorn was immense when he came off the bench, which again is no disrespect to MOH who put in a decent shift. As for Hyndman he is a class player and did more in the short time he was on the park than Holt did for the previous two thirds of the game.

At the end a good result but we are poor defensively and need a captain that can lead by example and drive the team forward when we are struggling.

22 Jan 2017 20:42:47
Seemingly ok for his teams to lose 9 and 7 to the mhanks but not to lose 2-1 in a game they didn't deserve anything from. Bitter, bitter man

21 Jan 2017 19:19:11
The team that finished the game against Motherwell.
Is that our best starting 11?

21 Jan 2017 22:38:59
Yes, I believe it is with the exception that when Rossiter is fully match fit then I think he should be first choice rather than Halliday.

That said, I reckon that Halliday could do a job further forward.

Our weaknesses are all in defence where today I thought that Wallace was poor as well as Kiernan. We are simply horrid at defending crosses!

21 Jan 2017 18:38:55
We love a square pass eh? So much possession yet little end product . The only idea they have is pass the ball to wee Barry and hope he does the business. MOH had a better game today however he isn't the answer. He runs with his head down and his final ball is shocking . A striker needs to be scoring plenty goals and he won't be doing that for us . Miller and hill with McKay and the goalkeeper are our best players by a country mile and two of them are near retirement age. Massive result today though. Wee McKay was outstanding.

21 Jan 2017 19:10:50
Agree, tonnes of possession but rarely do we have the razor sharp pass that cuts open the defences.

Bit more speed required rather than constantly slowing the ball down

We're missing Kranjar in that role

21 Jan 2017 19:21:14
Djab, we have that striker in Jo Dodoo.

21 Jan 2017 21:18:57
Fd at last somebody agrees with me about dodoo being answer as striker.

21 Jan 2017 23:08:23
While I agree that Foderingham, Hill, Miller and MacKay are consistently our best players I would suggest that Windass is a good young player with a lot of potential and Waghorn is also a decent quality player. Add to that the fact that Rossiter when fully match fit will be a significant addition, MOH has the ability to improve so long as he has the right level of coaching and Dodoo is a young lad with potential.

Hyndman also looks the part and once he has a few games I reckon that Toral will be a good signing as well.

I would be more concerned about our defence although the young lad from Raith Rovers could be a quality player and Hodson while not brilliant is a decent defender.

Personally I would like us to sign a left back to give Wallace some competition because, when i watched him today I was not impressed. He was caught out too many times when he went up the park and struggled to get back into position, he gets dragged into the centre of the defence too much and was partly at fault for Motherwell's goal.

He is not Captain material and we need a leader that leads by example and can lift the team when required. In the short term I would rather see Miller with the Captain's arm band.

21 Jan 2017 16:56:25
tht was very hard to go watch today. spend to much time on the ball and need to move it quicker. thank for kenny miller how do we replace him when he hangs up his boots. we have to depend on hill who is about 38 to win tackles and headers and miller at 37 to score our goals apart from they 2 and mckay the rest are almost passenger's at times . shouldn't take us to go down 1 nil till we start to play a tad faster and get it in the box. still a win but not pretty to watch

21 Jan 2017 18:20:23
fs we won.

is that no enough for ye?

we are new to the spl we are going forward no backwards

get behind the bears

motherwell pumped us two year ago? some people canny see green cheese

21 Jan 2017 19:00:00
with the possession and players we have we should not be sitting at 80 minutes with ZERO shots on goal and 1-0 down

21 Jan 2017 19:54:49
ffs we only just won we should beat these sort of teams no problem with the players we brought in and wage bill will b a lot higher than ever team apart from celtic. we all have a opinion and right to express it especially when we travel over 100 mile 1 way then 100 bk home and spent our hard earned cash to watch tht pish. if we didn't win u probably be on hear calling for Warburtons head and slate the team. hate people say its a new team new to spl and need time to gel half way into a season this team should be performing. if your happy good for u

21 Jan 2017 20:22:57
Is that a 200 mile round trip?

21 Jan 2017 20:29:05
yeah sure is 200mile round trip bud iam from arbroath

21 Jan 2017 20:53:28
Good on yi king kenny. And new to the spl? R u nuts

21 Jan 2017 21:01:39
thts wht blue blood gers said no me

22 Jan 2017 17:15:57
Have to mention that young emerson hyndman's defence splitting pass through for kenny miller's second goal today was quite superb! What i like about this young american, is he demands the ball and looks to get on the ball constantly! He always makes himself available. I sit in the copland and had a cracking view of his through ball, for kenny's winning goal. I would start hyndman in our midfield, with probably either holt or halliday dropping to the bench. Quite simply imo hyndman is better than both of them!

22 Jan 2017 17:42:49
Far too slow, square passes, not one run to try and split defence. Everyone looking for a square ball, too often no one in the box. Where would we be without miller. Dreadful too watch until we went behind. How much more do we have to suffer this. For all those that think warbs is the man for us, I ask you are you happy watching this? Except mckay and miller, where was the desire and bravery? Dead in the final third, took us ages to get to the final third. Again a mistake from the other team saves our blushes. For me warbs out!

21 Jan 2017 16:43:23
Surprised that MOH started today and pleased that he had a good 70 mins and should have had a penalty. Hope that gives him confidence to kick on.

21 Jan 2017 16:50:28
Yea, I thought that he had a decent game today and it was a stone wall penalty. Problem is that Waghorn is a better player so unless we play with two strikers MOH is always going to be second choice.

21 Jan 2017 16:59:38
his pace is brilliant to beat most players but his first touch and dribbling at (times) is shocking. wasn't tht impressed with toral but needs time a suppose

21 Jan 2017 17:05:13
MOH had a decent highlight reel for today. Made some good runs and showed he can terrify defences with his pace. Needs to work on consistency as sometimes goes missing for large spells and needs to work on situations where he has his back to goal rather than running at defenders. However, he was denied a penalty and made a cracking run early on and was unlucky more was not made of his cross. A decent run of games and he could really turn the corner form wise. That's if he stays.

21 Jan 2017 17:48:18
Wasn't impressed with toral either tbh. great 1st time pass by hyndman though 😁

22 Jan 2017 17:46:31
Should have been a pen, but moh is poor, I have seen nothing that convinces me that he deserves a place in the team.

22 Jan 2017 17:54:35
MOH did ok, more so in the first half. The penalty, or non penalty decision was just a joke! Ref's about 12 feet away and looking right at it! The lad Toral is a bit slow and very left sided a bit like Hemdani was imo. Looks a good player though. I was impressed by Hyndman. Great pass for the winner! Great couple of finishes by Miller who was actually having a bit of a nightmare. Not a great performance but credit to the guys for the fightback and to MW who left Kenny on when he could easily have hooked him! A bit petty I know but great to see Motherwell get what they deserved at the end. Sweet FA!

22 Jan 2017 20:28:40
Get a grip! It's jon toral's first game! Give the guy a chance, he's a really good player!

21 Jan 2017 16:02:05
Anyone else think wee Pirlo's vision and movement was a joy to watch when he came on for Holt today? What a ball and what a finish by Miller. Next round of The Scottish. Check! ✔️

21 Jan 2017 16:45:01
Early days but agree the boy looks to have the touch. Great to see real competition for Holt and Halliday.

21 Jan 2017 22:43:54
He should start every game. Holt was a passenger in that game today. I am one of Halliday's biggest critics but thought he had a decent game today.

21 Jan 2017 15:49:53
What's everyone's thoughts on Neil McCann involved some way in rangers management team?

21 Jan 2017 16:51:46
Good call, but what role would he take.

21 Jan 2017 18:43:40
Jim trainors assistant

22 Jan 2017 17:35:55
I love wee Mccann but doesn't mean because he talks a good game and shows abit of passion he'd be a success in a coaching capacity as we've seen many pundits turned managers fail big time

21 Jan 2017 15:42:47
Took my son and daughter to today's game it was my daughters first. hope its not put her off for life the game was brutal and the atmosphere was diabolical and the prices for food in the stadium are rediculous £2.70 for small drink and £4.10 for a burger I know were skint but come on

21 Jan 2017 15:55:09
A take it was your 1st game aswell bawbag otherwise you would have known its not a cheap day out especially with kids simple answer is if u don't like it don't go why not take in an amatuer game instead cheap as chips that

21 Jan 2017 16:34:53
Haha, fergie 81 that's a class response.

Your not going to get a cheap day out if you buy the food!

I remember taking my son to his first game, hearts at Ibrox for the start of the championship season and even though we lost it is still stuck in his mind though. 👍

21 Jan 2017 16:36:05
Fergie 81. a bit harsh calling the guy a bawbag! He took his kids give him some ley way. prices have went up at ibrox and I see why DK ain't putting money into us. So we resort to banging up the prices and wanting to sell out best players.

21 Jan 2017 16:43:37
Fifa, check the op's username.

21 Jan 2017 17:02:43
its david murrays son that owns the food stalls at ibrox. Was part of the deal when green took over

21 Jan 2017 17:04:32
Not my first game had season ticket for ten years but had to give it up about 6 years ago and the prices have fairly jumped up I get what your saying about not having to buy the food but I'm not one for telling kids no you can't get something to eat. but my main point is the atmosphere is not up to much

21 Jan 2017 17:27:39
4.10 is not a lot for a burger. it's 2017!

If Barry is worth £6m, we should be charging £10 for a burger

21 Jan 2017 17:29:22
Cup game against motherwell though, you hope for a full house at every home game but after that display you can see why it wasn't full.

21 Jan 2017 18:09:09
Home game on TV, 31k not too bad considering St Johnstone and Celtic results

21 Jan 2017 19:22:39
Home games on tv are a total buzz kill. It worked out ok last year against Dundee because people were eager to see Rangers beat Premier opposition. For some reason people think it's ok to stay at home when the games on television but in doing so make for a poor stadium atmosphere. Not a good look to give to neutral viewers outside of Scotland, and not good for attracting new viewers and investment. Catch 22 though as sports TV stations hold the big purses, and their cash is vital.

21 Jan 2017 22:45:36
If Murray's son has the catering then the sooner that contract is up the better.

22 Jan 2017 17:52:54
Fergie, that response was an embarresment mate. 4.40 for a stone cold burger that's bottom bun is brick hard is shocking. Guys should be able to take their kids to games without being ripped off for poor quality food and watered down cola. You obv don't have kids hence your ridiculous response.

21 Jan 2017 14:42:16
As long as Warburton remains as manager, we will never improve as a team.
As fans, we all knew since the beginning of LAST season that we badly needed to strengthen in defence, needed a defensive mid and a proven goalscorer.
18 months later we still need them (thank god for KM)

Warburton has proven to be tacticaly useless, one dimensional, unable to change it up and has nothing to offer but his usual "we will learn" soundbytes which from what i see he doesn't even do that.

Time to go Mr Warburton

21 Jan 2017 15:06:58
That's pure nonsense, what warburton needs is money to buy some decent players, he brought in 11 players before he got garner for peanuts, of course he knows what he's doing, he just needs money to buy good players, not shop at the bottom end of the market, and btw that's not a dig at our board, because we can't spend what we don't hav

21 Jan 2017 15:21:09
Bollocks, £1.8 mil isn't peanuts for us and it has been wasted. Spent 1/ 2 mill on MOH and rarely plays him.
Those two situations alone tells you he is clueless.

Are you trying to say that the other signings he has made solved the problems everyone knows we had since last season?

If so then you are just as clueless

21 Jan 2017 15:21:33
Seems to me that we won? Would have preferred a more composed game but stylish silky football that ends in defeat is not something we need right now

21 Jan 2017 15:26:04
Lets not forget he has had more money than Aberdeen, hearts and the rest so that is no excuse, it is downright bad management

21 Jan 2017 15:28:47
So true BR65. Let's just win.

21 Jan 2017 15:30:12
Gosman you call me clueless yet your the one who can't read, read what I said outwith garner he's had peanuts lol
Anyway your just another rangers basher, I bet you hoped we got beat today, my god we won without playing well, yet you still want him sacked, I'm sick to think that me and you support the same team, your definitely one of the boo brigade

21 Jan 2017 15:41:35
Do you know what, I don't want to argue with you, I'm a fan that win lose or draw I get behind them, I, ll give warburton time to get it right because he deserves time at the very least, I'm obv very diff from you, I'm not stupid I know we are miles off were we want rangers to be, but I don't think warburton is clueless as you say, I think he's a very smart guy and if somehow he could a right good transfer budget he could do great thing at ibrox, but I'm willing to give him time to get there as he doesn't have the money for a quick fix

21 Jan 2017 15:43:05
No Delboy, i am a realist, we are a poor excuse for a team and that is down to the manager who picks the team and sets the tactics.

I have followed and supported them for well over 50years, at home and in Europe through good and bad times. Season ticket for at least half of those years but this is as bad a crowd as we have ever had.
Yes we have had poor teams but at least they put in a shift and knew what it meant to wear the jersey

21 Jan 2017 16:07:20
He has had far more money to spend than Aberdeen and Hearts yet there isn't much between the sides. His recruitment in the summer has failed miserably and to spend £1.8m on a non scoring striker when money is as tight is ludicrous. Sad day when a 38 year old is your best defender and a 37 year old is your best striker. Really can't see how we can close the gap on Celtic and it looks like under him we will be scrambling with Aberdeen and Hearts for 2nd place with the odd cup win

21 Jan 2017 16:31:35
I hope he learns from today!

On the live chat we were talking about his substitutions and who would come on / go off and surprise surprise, if fans could guess them, then so could opposition managers!

I am not a Halliday fan but thought he had a decent game today but Holt was a waste of a jersey. Windass made a difference when he came on as did all our substitutes and for his first competitive game I thought Toral had a reasonable game but boy our defence was poor and I include Wallace in that. He struggled to get back, he got dragged into the middle and sorry but he just is not leadership material.

We have some good quality young players but we are so short of quality it is frightening! We need some serious investment in players especially in defence!

21 Jan 2017 19:34:55
TOMUSA you make a lot of good points i'm just really surprised we've never sorted the problem areas scoring goals and conceding cheap goals, i think both new boys in midfield will be better in possession and won't have as much slack passing as both holt and halliday who i think are the architects of us conceding goals losing possession in bad areas of the park, would like to see bates along side hill for few games see how the boy plays, just glad we got the win and hope we can kick on from here

21 Jan 2017 20:40:57
We all saw us drifting back to our pre Dons and Jam Tarts style for 80 mins today and it is not pretty but we have shown when we can do it differently ijust as we did in the last 10 minute. However after the game today I was on the lift and wee Barry got on going from level 1 to ground, he did not look a happy lad. A brief bit of light banter took place about the game being poor for 80 mins nothing else but there was no reaction from him at all, really quite sullen. He is just a young lad and I just hope the pressure we put on him on this and other sites is not taking its toll, mayb some on here should go a bit easier on him!

21 Jan 2017 22:11:28
Agree wae uz lads I knew who would be subbed for who as soon as I saw starting lineup

22 Jan 2017 15:40:13
Thank goodness for km? Hope to God that's not Kenny miller because he was absolutely woeful today and his 2 goals don't change that.

21 Jan 2017 14:30:25
If we were to get rid of warburton who would come in who would get this team fighting for each other? ?

21 Jan 2017 14:33:50
What about. how high will we finish in the league next season if MW coaching and tactics really click and he manages to get the right blend of youth and experience in the first team?

See, positive slant not so difficult

21 Jan 2017 14:36:56
Don't understand your post, fought well today and in next round of the cup, what are ui looking for?

21 Jan 2017 15:12:36
Gosman you say mw can't change things what about his subs today the two subs set up goals. when rodgers does these things he's a genius I don't get the negative comments were through to next round.

21 Jan 2017 15:14:21
I'm sick of the negativity on here, if it's not the board or manager getting stick, it's the players, if someone came on this site for the very first time you really wouldn't thinks it's a rangers fans website, honestly I'm bloody sick of it, I just wish they would get behind them, our club is building, even though warburton doesn't have the money to buy good players, btw that's not the boards fault, it's Ashley and his pals, and if people still don't understand this, well let's say they never will, in warburton and weir I TRUST.

21 Jan 2017 15:14:29
70 odd percent possession and first shot on target was about 80th minute. That's not good enough. Something is definitely missing. From an attack on the edge of the box, pass pass pass back to the halfway line

21 Jan 2017 15:27:24
gram mate, we won what's your problem. Lots of scope for improvement but winning is the most important thing. 4 out of the next 5 league games away from home, let's get max points from that and hopefully we should be clear of Aberdeen in the league.

21 Jan 2017 15:31:33
Gram, you are spot on. Some on here need to take the blinkers off. I am delighted we won as that is first and foremost the main target but let's not be kidded, we got out of jail thanks to KM

21 Jan 2017 16:21:58
'lets get max points from next 5 games'? by passing passing passing and never shooting? there's a very serious problem with creativity and penetration and defence was all over the place when under pressure in last 15. Who seriously sees max points from our next 5 games? I am shocked beyond recognition that we won that game today. I swear I am usually the positive one but that game was frightening to watch

21 Jan 2017 16:42:12
I agree that something is missing and would suggest that it is a winning mentality and a win at all costs attitude all the way from management through the entire team.

It doesn't help that our Captain is not a leader, he just does not compare with any of the team captains that I have had the privilege to see in a rangers jersey all the way back to 1961!

Playing pretty football is pointless if you don't win and that was my biggest fear today when Motherwell went 1 - 0 up, and thankfully, not for the first time this season it was Miller that won us the game.

The above said I was encouraged by the play of a number of players today and Windass looked the part when he came on. Time however for Holt to be dropped, he adds nothing and we now have two significantly better options with the two new loanees.

21 Jan 2017 16:59:50
both new loan signings made very promising touches, but Toral was clearly not match fit

21 Jan 2017 16:59:50
both new loan signings made very promising touches, but Toral was clearly not match fit

Kenny miller I really speak highly enough of the man, anyone who has seen my posts know I've been a big fan of his, sometimes I wonder where we would be without him, he's been our best player this season, and he just keeps getting stronger, well done kenny, you have got us out of jail again.

21 Jan 2017 14:30:42
I questioned why he was given an extra year on his deal last season. He has more than proved me wrong, thankfully. He still has a lot to offer at his age. Sloppy performance today though.

21 Jan 2017 14:38:11
Great performance from a true get. 2 great goals today.

21 Jan 2017 15:17:22
I just don't know how he keeps doing it, he is still full or running the way he did 20 years ago, even at 37 he will be sadly missed when he does go, hopefully he will sign on for another year.

21 Jan 2017 14:11:59
Sorry

but Warburton and his team "talk" a good game - "We're going to do this or that after our lessons in cup final and in Germany etc . ". They are "all talk"

Really it is time for change we are crying out for a centre half and a goal scorer and we sign two more midfielders, letting another go out on loan?

21 Jan 2017 14:19:23
At least Kenny Miller has still got it!

21 Jan 2017 14:25:48
jesus, that was brutal! Still a victory and I will gladly take that. Our defence really is poor and oh how we need a leader on the Park. Thought that Windass and the young American looked the part when they came on. Holt was like a man down.

21 Jan 2017 15:20:38
Agreed Tom, we really are far to easy to score against, how many goals have we lost with the other teams striker peeling off in between two defenders and scoring a header, time and again it happens, that's how we lost the Scottish cup last season, we really need to sort this

21 Jan 2017 13:43:04
Watching this drivel at Ibrox, it looks like Motherwell are still playing in 2nd gear. You just want to give wee McKay a good shake. He's got the ability but not the belief, his first touch trying to go past a man is too half hearted.

21 Jan 2017 14:12:44
sucker punch but tell me who are the suckers m oh to go gets picked before windass and waghorn no change tactics substituitions made at his usual time and very few if any shots on target i think warurton is r delia in disguise god save k miller

21 Jan 2017 14:42:18
Large bill, what game have you been looking at, good substitutions and no longer all made at 60 mins. The American lad looks good and young kenny miller is magnificent. Great result and today lads.

21 Jan 2017 16:47:01
I hope that Warburton has learned and that the young American lad starts from now on. Much as I like MOH it is also clear that Waghorn has to start and I would also start with Windass so the only question for me is who drops out to allow us to play Toral who also looks a decent quality player.

Problem is that other than Miller we really don't have a striker and our defence, including Wallace, is just not good enough.

21 Jan 2017 17:00:29
FD, you are right that they were good substitutions but why on earth did Holt start when all three of the substitutes are far better than him.

tom, think starting match with the 2 new boys on loan would have been too risky. thought Torel looked decent but not Arsenal class or fully match fit. the American lad looks special, as he did in RB friendly last week. Assume Dodoo injury explains absence from bench today. Still believe he will come good and get us goals. Will be tough match at Fir Park next week, McGee has the petted lip.

I am a supporter of the gaffer but if he thinks selling mackay for £6m then that is the most defeatist thing I've seen we need players of that calibre in not shipping them out he should only go if it were to be a bid well over the odds. Foreign players can be expected to come and go but homegrown ones should be the core of the team. Who seriously wants him to go I hear clamour on here for MOH to be first pick, he is fast but to fast for his own skill level, he couldn't cut it at celtic so why is he at us if we want to challenge them or go past them, well celtic rejects won't do it. I wanted the boy to come good I thought maybe it's just something the missed in his development but seriously he isn't good enough, mackay would walk into that team. It is really the same as when Lewis macleod left he was the one to build the team round but was sold this should not happen if mw has any balls he must dig his heels in and say mackay is going nowhere if not what is the point in telling us that we want to challenge celtic, because when we do challenge them the likes of RB Leipzig will be our rivals they ain't Barcelona or real Madrid they are teams that we want to be challenging within the next 5 years and mackay is young enough to still be with us then to me it is a no brainer

21 Jan 2017 13:22:32
First time post, we must keep MOH, he is the sort of player we need at rangers. If warbs let's him go then he should be next. He is quick and direct unlike some of the wallapers warburton likes to play.

21 Jan 2017 15:25:04
his final ball is always lacking

Let's say McKay does go to Leipzig and we get a decent fee, would you trust MW with the money?

21 Jan 2017 10:19:06
Both are very unlikely

21 Jan 2017 10:56:06
@lwdawson - Wee Barrie will not be going anywhere for that type of fee. Hypothetically speaking, the money will not be used on the playing side. It will be much needed elsewhere. And yes I would have trusted MW to spend it wisely.

21 Jan 2017 11:02:16
In a word, NO

21 Jan 2017 12:29:21
I don't believe that mcKay will go anywhere right now and if he did would debate whether Warburton would be given all of the money for players. What is more, January is not a good time to buy as Warburton has said himself.

Lets keep McKay, go with what we have and make some pre-contact signings for next season.

21 Jan 2017 12:36:20
Wee Barrie is a decent player but a 6 million price tag is a bit far fetched considering his form this season 1 good performance against the other lot does not warrant that kind of money, just my opinion bears.

21 Jan 2017 13:23:24
Hypothetically speaking, if he went for £6m, I reckon £5m would be needed for 'other' commitments at the club. The club certainly wouldn't be investing the money on other players.

22 Jan 2017 13:21:50
How is it far fetched? He's our best player! Should we just let him go for **** all then?
