How to lose money having top flight players sitting on the bench in the first/second tier of Scottish football on higher wages than the Scottish premiership. We will play 1 up front so jig can play in midfield more money wasted, if we had kept shinnie, hemming, loy, telfer with the rest of the youth and players like Wallace beside them we would of been fine. We should of bought the best young players in the divisions we were in on an honest salary 2 year deal if is does not work out nothing ventured nothing gained we missed the biggest trick in our history

Imagine ally had fielded more youngsters than he has and we were still stuck in the lowest division u all would be shouting for his head ,hold on he's won 2 promotions. and your still shouting for his head , just come out and say u don't like him & let him get on with it

In other words maybe it was the money spent on higher quality players compared to the part time, butchers, bakers candlestick makers we faced and nothing to do with the quality of our manager?
Given the quality of football that is emptying Ibrox each season I don't really understand the enthusiasm of real loyal fans like yourself. I'm sure it makes you feel good and superior to us rebels who don't any longer share your faith in the Super one as our manager- but both opinions are allowed.

OP, you are spot on, what an opportunity missed.

Nbear, like you, I just can't get me head round those that are obviously happy to watch the absolute dross that has been on display for the last two seasons and probably more of the same for another season and the fact that it is glaringly obvious that ally is just not a manager. However, as you say, we are all entitled to an opinion and this is just mine.

All I'm saying is he's doing what he was asked to do and get promoted to the top asap ,so let's judge him and the style of football when we get back playing against other professional players & not the butcher ,bakers & so on.

Sorry mate but if your guff against part timers what makes you think we can step up several levels to compete with professionals. but I will pass judgement after a couple of months. let's see the type of football we'll be playing and if we are playing a free flowing, attacking, exciting, blood pumping have us foaming at the mouth style of football then I will run round ibrox bollock. and believe me that would not be a pretty site. however I think my bets safe!

R. f by the time we get back into the top league we will have so little money we will have to play butchers and bakers - we won't even be able to afford the candlestick makers. The interest in the league this year is because of the presence of the two Edinburgh clubs it's certainly not because of our scintillating football

Nbear/Bigcol. The dug made mistakes as well. I was only a sub in one of his teams but he did take me to one side and advise me of his youth policy. [ A 59year-old replaced me. ] I've not kicked a ba' since, but I must admit his youth policy worked.

The 2 Edinburgh clubs are in the championship for their lack of ability, yes hearts had a points reduction, any half decent team would have overcome that and hibs were terrible and are struggling for players now,. Am struggling to see the interest in them nbear?

The problem I have with the argument that he spent big to get the promotions is that a team gets promoted EVERY year and never in the history of Scottish football have they had to spend the way Ally did. Look at Gretna or QoS.
