Hi gents,

Great night . But was your hearts pounding at every corner? For Gods sake CAMMY Bell its allowed to come of your line, Remember both goals we conceded v QOS came from crosses

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Totally agree mate, crosses /corners, never comes off his line, same height as goram, and yet he came for everything, ball / man, even his own players, and that's my worry for saturday. if I was stubbs, I would be saying keep putting that ball into the box for 90 mins, put the back 4 under pressure, and their goalkeeper

Canny remember Goram coming off his line very often. I'd say he was your archetypal 'goal line keeper'. Was there not a famous quote he came away with that went something like - 'why would I need to come for a cross into the box when I have Gough and Butcher in front of me?'

You're correct Noddy.Goram said he never had to come off his line.I don't recall him doing it often either.

Don't think you can compare Bell to Goram. Bell is a decent keeper who has a significant weakness with crossed balls whereas Goram was the best keeper ever to play for us. I know who I would rather have in goal

honestly I would rather play robinson he is a far better fielder of the ball and very quick of his line cammy bell is not half the goalkeeper he was before his injury he is feart tob come for cross balls in case he gets another shoulder injury

Bell is a fantastic keeper, we've be awfully harsh on our keepers on this forum

I think 'the goalie' would struggle getting down for the low shots

Great result last night and what a fantastic atmosphere, Ibrox was rocking again.

Andy Murdoch is growing as a player with every game, brilliant.

I can't believe Boyd gets anywhere near the pitch, totally and utterly useless. he should not even be listed as a substitute for the remaining games. The Hibs defense couldn't believe the time and space they got when Miller and Clark went off.

Hopefully now we will stop hearing fans on here shouting for Boyd to start games.

Aye Wullie, I thought McCall had slipped up when he put Boyd on. Not his type of game where he has to plough a lone furrow up top. It all went well in the end though. Looking forward to taking on Motherwell!

To be fair to Boyd when he came on he was running about more than I have ever seen him do before. He was brought on as a lone striker which obviously isn't what suits him but I Thought he did well tracking back and cutting off passing lines by himself. Also he was good to have in our box defending corners

Agree3 Disagree3

21 May 2015 12:49:33
Boyds not the type of striker to come on and chase the ball you would think you would know that by now.
So it's moan about Kris Boyd week last week was mcculloch before that moshni before that Wallace now Boyd.
Nicky law gave the ball away religiously last night but you will moan about a poacher who play 15 mins for not running around like Kenny Miller lol.

You lot moan about Clark and Miller never being upfront and always out position yet chastise boyd.

Boyd was brought on for his presence in OUR box. He wasn't brought on to chase lost causes in their half! He won a couple of headers in our box when we were being bombarded with corners. Give the guy a break, he's clearly not sharp but can still play a big part.

I agree about Murdoch. He did well again on Wednesday. He's turning into a right good player. He seems to be able to read the game well and is good at making space and finding a pass. Hope we hang onto him for a while

Absolutely OP. A very special night.

And BTW who were the two that disagreed with me that Rangers at 15/8 to win playoffs wasn't good value. Hopefully Celtic men.

Absolutely buzzing with last nights result, Ibrox was rocking, best atmosphere I have seen there in years!

Andy Murdoch again was outstanding, he was my man of the match, the way he reads the game is way beyond his years, provides great cover when the full backs bomb forward, excellent young pkayer.

Vuckic again was tremendous, his work rate is brilliant, his class on the ball is streets ahead of anyone else we have. A must to be signed next season if possible.

Finally after me critisising them for weeks I though both Nicky Clark and Kenny Miller both did themselves proud last night, not only with their goals but there work rate, leading from the front and tracking back, real team players last night.

Now for the second leg, we can do this!

but will ashley sell him to us for sensible money

21 May 2015 12:04:48
Vuckic won't play for Newcastle regardless of how well he is doing for us. Ashley will sell him at a reasonable price I beleive. He is out of contract next season so he will be kean to sell and receive some sort of fee Allthough I think other clubs will have an eye on him

Agree2 Disagree0

21 May 2015 13:51:57
Fraser no one has an eye on Vuckic, he's doing okay in a sh**e league, newcastle are looking to ship off a lot of players so putting in a fair bid for him could just do it. I'd say 800k would be accepted, possibly less

Agree0 Disagree1

I think Vuckic was once described as a kind of boy wonder, but obviously he's lost his way somewhat (i think he was at Rotherham om loan last year). I'd also say we could get him for under a million, but I can't agree that other teams wouldn't be interested in signing him which might prop the price up a bit.

Agree0 Disagree0

We might go up and Newcastle DOWN lol so it might be a case of us offering potential Europe (Europa League) and Old Firm games which is an attractive deal compared to playing fanny teams from all over middle England Championship is about ONE thing in England the playoff game to get to the EPL and a few good teams at top yoyo up and down again from Premiership.

Not saying Scottish football is better but it is exciting and Europe is a huge pull Vuckic may well come to Rangers next year.

What an atmosphere tonight, more of the same against Motherwell (if we get through). We can do this. Whole stadium doing the bouncy tonight, great effort from the team tonight.

In the taxi heading back to the hotel, what a great night, first half very shaky never closed down quick enough, but stepped it up last 5 in the first and continued it into the second, Vuckic should be one of DKs first priorities,if the asking price is the reported £1m that's a steal he could be just the player to build a young team round, well done Stuart Mccall you have almost worked a miracle with a very mediocre side, well done that mediocre side stepping up to the plate, nearly there and we'll done the best fans in football great atmosphere. Onwards and upwards. Ps just hear, well done dickie boy you've worked a wonder at Sunderland (have some of them apples mike Ashley you bfb) lads and lasses of both sides enjoy the night.

Just heard Kenny Miller waxing lyrical about Richard Foster and how outstanding he's been in the games since he came back. I rest my case. Over to you Stewie!
Great performance and tactics spot on

Man performs reasonable over a few games and you frothing at the mouth about it. However wonder if you were so bullish after the 4-0 game against Hibs a few months ago? Were you still drooling over him? If you think he is the answer going forward then fine. I just think we should be looking at younger better players who have something to offer the club long term. It would be interesting to get your thoughts on the ahead. Do you want Foster to get a new contract?

Agree0 Disagree0

22 May 2015 07:32:54
Touchy touchy! All I'm saying is give credit when it's due. Not saying he should be given a new contract and have never said that. Guys can have bad games no?
