Do u think this team could make top 6?
Alexander
Broadfoot, weir, bartley, Cole
Bondya, edu, mcculloch, makay,
Healy, fleck.
Can't believe this trash plays at ibrox.

Believable3 Unbelievable9

Are Bocanegra and Goian going somewhere I dont know? and Davis, Mcgregor, Naismith(when back from injury) and Whittaker. Stop talking nonsence and wait and see who we have after January

Agree0 Disagree0

Easy to see the quality if you know about football even with Broadfoot on his day! They are all Rangers players and we should support the team. Big Davie Weir apparently played well all season for reserves and against Liverpool. You can't even spell Bedoya so you obviously not a fan of his but he has had his moments but not had much game time to show them. Bartley - unlucky with injuries
Healy - Top Northern Ireland goalscorer of all time playing against the same countries as Scotland play against over his career.
Edu - most consistent player for us over last two years but who cares about facts.
MacKay has played about three first team games but was Player of the Year in a country which is miles above us in the FIFA ranking but is still Mickey Mouse even despite this! Fleck needs nurturing and games and I reckon this could be his season but supporters need to stay off his case. Not sure about Darren Cole but by all accounts is a really hot prospect. McCoist and Durrant were great players and they know great players so get behind the team and lift them closer to 4IAR!
Nicko 1872
p.s. I reckon this team could give our neighbours a pretty good game because they are a shambles the now and even though they feel they are coming out of it I reckon it will only be a matter of time before they are fighting amongst themselves and calling for the head of the king of Ginger nuts! WATP!

Agree2 Disagree0

LMAO, what a rubbish post and pointless too, away have some sleep and then a wee think............. You either support your team, or you take a hike, see ye later !! You m8, don't deserve Rangers. Rangers 'Til I die

Agree1 Disagree0

Do you reckon this team would finish top 6 in the league?

Nicky Walker

Stephen Wright
Scott Nisbet
Scott Wilson
Chris Vinnicombe

Neil Murray
Sandy Robertson
Gary Bollan
Dale Gordon

Gary McSwegan
Peter Van Vossen

Pointless isnt it. These guys dont make a good team but they all were in the squad while we won nine in a row!

Its about having a squad. You are never gonna have a squad full of superstars! We are top of the league and they have all played their part. Nuff said!

I have waited 2 see all post so far since the game at the weekend & yet again steven davis escapes critisism he was f***in useless this guy is not a RANGERS captain, edu gets pelters every week at least he is there 2 be shot at, davis hides & is a s**tebag into the bargain I have lost count of the tackles he pulls out of, can any1 tell me why he gets away with it, is it he is the blue eyed boy from ulster because I will tell you's this if barry ferguson was playing on saturday we would have pished that game also I would take jody morris before davis
NTYABOW

Believable4 Unbelievable8

I agree about pulling out of tackles, N 4 me Shagger should b the captain but feel ur a bit harsh, Davis can b and usually is a match winner 4us not deadwood.... Morris ahead of him... NO CHANCE.
The Fifer

Agree6 Disagree1

Defo not would take davis over morris all day long morris is an ex chelsea reject

Wullie

Agree1 Disagree0

Morris NO CHANCE on saturday st johnston did more attacking than us any1 who knows anything about football knows your drive & enegy comes from centre mid, well thats were morris plays & from where I was sitting st johnstone done most of the attacking I am not having a go because of 1 game I said this last season as well & I got a your talking s**te response low & behold davis came out & said his performances were'nt good enough well same for this season 1 good game out of 6 or 7 is not good enough for a RANGERS captain
NTYABOW

Agree0 Disagree1

What do u expect he's played the last 40 games way mo edu that's enough to were anyone down

Agree0 Disagree4

NTYABOW I get ur point bout Morris but come on he doesn't do that every week, the saints couldn't score goals at all last season and he was there.... Another poster was also correct, Davis with Edu in the middle, he's got to hang back. However the legend that is BARRY FERGUSON in the middle(as captain) along with Davis would enable Davis to get up the park n create more! Are u tryin to say u don't want Davis playing?? Who do u suggest plays instead?

think gers could invest in andy johnson of fulham is a prolific goal scorer and at only 2m hes a steal. a little injury prone but seems to have overcome come that.

Wages I think, and not going to spend money on a player his age, we wouldn't sign Miller so why Johnson. Still think not getting Miller will haunt us. Blue4ever

I see your "Billionaire" owner is getting taken to court by an Edinburgh law firm (another one) for the huge sum of £3000. Yes it sure proves Mr Whyte has pots of money ha ha Just hope the law firm dealing with his tax case have been smart enough to get their money UP FRONT LOL Timalloy

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Is Dermot Desmond not supposed to be a Billionaire but you still cant afford decent players. Can't even afford to pay Broons agent the fee he is entitled to lol
GCUK

Agree9 Disagree1

There is no supposed about. Dermot Desmond is worth approximately 1.5 billion Euros and is listed as the sixth richest man in Ireland.Denis O'Brien's estimated wealth is £2.5 billion. In a recent report by 442 magazine CFC have five directors in the top 100 football rich list. Dermot Desmond,(11th richest man in British football)Denis O'Brien(7th),Wullie Haughey(38),Gerald Weisfield(86) and Jim Kerr(77).This is more than any other club.Seven other clubs from Scotland had people on the list except Rangers. The list only starts with people with £20 million pounds or more. Stewart Milne of Aberdeen is at 40 with £140 Million,Tom Farmer is number 41 with £136 million.Romanov with £100 million is at number 47,Ross McGregor from Ross county has £85 million,David Sutherland of Inverness has £25 million and Geoff Brown of St Johnstone has 23 million, they all made the top 100, not one person connected to Rangers is worth more than £20 million.FACT!! www.fourfourtwo.com/lists/thefootballrichlist201112thefull100.aspx

I thought Whyte was a billionaire with wealth off the radar? LMAO

Oooooooo well done bhoys! how long did that wee list take you? So pathetic once again! Mind the gap!

Raab

Agree1 Disagree4

Interesting but i'm sure there is a reason. To be frank, it highlights how much spirit we have as a team; fans and a club to be consistently better than the team with the most amount of rich men in the top 100. How does that make you feel, mate? Muzz

Agree3 Disagree1

Bears, please Think, before replying. The question was, how can a supposed "Billionaire, with wealth off the radar" A) not be on any official rich list and B) not even able to pay a £3000 bill? Timalloy

Agree6 Disagree2

Cracking research loved reading that, just goes to show money cant buy the league.watp

Agree6 Disagree0

Dimalloy, white is a millionair not billionair. don't se the relavance of this. if your owners have desmond is soooooooooooo rich why does he take money out of celtic and not splash the cash and buy the league as they did whem mr oneil came? no one has said whyte cant pa the 3k he just hassen't, there is a difference :o)

21 Nov 2011 18:28:38
Just seen on BBC sport that the SPL has agreed with Sky and ESPN an improved TV deal of an estimated £80m. Now, its likely that few people know the full details of this tax dispute but would Sky and ESPN agree a deal if one of the old firm were really facing administration? probably not (although there could be a clause providing for termination of the contract if such an event were to occur.) Just quite an interesting event i feel... and at the very least is good news for scottish football. Muzz

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Termination clause was in existing deal so why not in new deal, both parties had option to be released after couple of years. Well done SPL, not a fortune but better than a hot needle in the eye.

Since start of the season Celtic fans have rated 5 of their players 10 million pound, izzy, kayal, Ki, hooper and now Forrest, surely with all this on show they could do better than 10 points behind?

Believable8 Unbelievable1

lenny

Agree1 Disagree3

Lenny, get over yourself no one on here actually cares about the u19 champions league.

Agree5 Disagree2

What? Are you for real? Bringing the youth through is paramount to saving our clubs! Gone are the days of RFC/CFC spending millions on players, so we should be looking to bring through younger players like Wylde and Forrest.

Look at the money you's got for Hutton or the money we got for McGeady!

DazzaBhoy

Agree3 Disagree1

Lenny,

You can't compare Celtic fans behaviour in Seville to Rangers fans in Manchester.

The Celtic fans didn't have to endure missing the match due to a "technical hitch". You can sit in denial all you want bud but at the end of the day, the events in Manchester were inevitable and would have happened with any other club's fans.......and that includes Celtic fans.

I was in Manchester, I was one of the unfortunate ones who had to endure missing the match, I was one of the unfortunate ones who witnessed riot police gathering around Picadilly Gardens BEFORE the screens "broke down", must just a been a coincidence.

Please Lenny, don't take some moral high ground by comparing Seville to Manchester........

The same would have happened with the Celtic fans if one of their fanzone's screens "broke down"

SPL announced a new five year deal with Sky sports and ESPN for the live rights to screen Premier Leagues games, my view is this is a good sign for Rangers not going into Administration, why would Sky Sports and ESPN put money into the SPL if Rangers was going into Administration.

Think its better for the other clubs because even without gers they have 5 years tv money,

I think this season some teams have been refreshing surprising. St. Mirren have vastly improved and Kenny McLean, Paul McGowan making opportunities for Steven Thompson and Nigel Hasselbaink has worked well. St. Johnstone's defence was impressive against us at Ibrox recently and they have players capable of scoring in Dayton, Sandaza and Sheridan with Motherwell being very good this season and Hearts also managing to beat Celtic. So instead of focusing on doom and gloom and alot of financial problems in the game I think teams are surprisingly playing well outside Rangers.

Hi all, this ones not a rumours more of a question to Ed. I visit this site and newcastles pages all the time too. In particular the gers pages seem to be full of Celtic fans being quite critical and posting tripe about our league standing, tax case, transfers etc with not one bit of it being interesting or subjective. I took a little gander at their page and was surprised to read so much kak about Hooper joining newcastle. I commented on several of there rumours (nothing rude just honest observations) and none of them have been posted. I was also quite critical of the Ed for so much of the tosh he/she was posting and guess what? None of my comments were posted. If that's the case why in earth do you allow for them to come on our site and spout crud? All my comments were far more productive than the piss they put up here but I basically get rubber eared. Poor show, any of my fellow bears agree? Ed your thoughts would be welcome.

Ps after the next old firm I think we will be 10 points clear at the top of the mountain. {Ed002's Note - I am so sorry to hear about your troubles. You of course get different Editors dealing with many of the pages and some are more tolerant than others about the levels of abuse they allow to be posted. In many cases the Editors will simply delete anything that is abusive of the Editors themselves. Personally I will delete a lot of the posts that the Celtic fans put on the Rangers pages, but I guess others just let it though. There is little that can be done retrospectively so I guess you will have to just such it up and move on.}

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Thats cos their ed thinks he is God. His head is so far up his own airchie...............go on ed, post it, just this once.

Agree2 Disagree2

Every Ed is going to be liked by there own supporters, why you getting so upset it's a banter page. If the Ed feels it's not banter then he won't allow it. I've had a few replys ignored on this page and don't greet about it!

worst rangers team i have watched in 50 years.wee are only at the top because of the poor opposition.name a player in scotland out side celtic .that wee could sign.you will be hard pushed to name one.they are all second raters old bob

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I will name a few that if we signed would be good bits of business.......

1. Jamie murphy(motherwell) can play either up front or on wing has been linked with us before.

2. Murray davidson (st johnstone) great wee midfielder who loves a tackle and isnt scared to take a shot.

3. Johnny russel(dundee utd) good future prospect has quick feet, good pace he likes going for goal aswell.

4. Sandaza (st johnstone) having a great start to season would be a good back up striker.

5. Kello (hearts) good goal keeper plays good against old firm would do good as back up to shagger.

6. Hayes (ict) great pace could be what we need on wing.

There is 6 good players in spl out with old firm who I reckon would do a good job.

Alexcee

Agree6 Disagree2

Templeton, johnny russell, scott allan all good young players

Agree6 Disagree0

If these players ate going be our signings surely season ticket prices should fall? We shouldn't be paying 1st class prices to watch 2nd rate players. Any thts ed? {Ed001's Note - I believe that ticket prices should be dropped anyway, regardless of who is in the team.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Only one I'd take out of all those is Murphy, great potential and would improve at a bigger club. I also agree with Templeton ( 1st reply ) this boy loves to run at defenders and that has been lacking at Rangers for a number of years. We need to bring in players who can improve the squad, not just make up numbers m8, just my opinion fellow Bears. Rangers' Til I die

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnny Russell-Dundee Utd, David Wotherspoon-Hibs, Fraser Fyvie-Aberdeen, McGregor-St Mirren, Kelly-Kilmarnock, Templeton-Hearts, Murphy-Motherwell, Allan-Dundee Utd. There's 8 that have great potential. I like the other guy like Muray Davidson, think he would benefit from playing with better players. Dean Shields has been impressive this season for Kilmarnock as well, Hammill would do a turn at right back from Hearts, i also like eggart johnsson at hearts. Wee Hasselbaink at St Mirren is another one who could improve if he played with better players. So for you to come out and say the opposition is so poor is harsh!! The U21's have just came off the back of a great result against a team that most countries use as a blueprint when it comes to youth football in Holland and the SPL was well represented in that side. J1985

Agree3 Disagree0

Regarding first class prices for season tickets i know a few people in england who have season tickets mainly chelsea and arsenal and if you want to start paying 650+ a season then we might get the players you are expecting us to sign the guy a know who has a chelsea season ticket pays about 800 a season i think that the 430 i pay for the coapland road is good value for money, so why dont you start offering to pay a first class price then complain

Agree0 Disagree0

The people in London are on average 3 times what we are on in terms off pay, 415 pound a year is way to much in terms of the hash Mr tight is planning to put out, how could u even put us in same sentence as Chelsea they have torres and lampard we have broadfoot and edu

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2011 13:23:57
This may sound daft to the rest of you fellow bears but does anyone else think Fran Sandaza would be a worth while signing in January? Big strong striker, reads the game well, good first touch and brings others into play. Give him half a chance and he'll put the ball in the back of the net....
I think the Gers should make a cheeky wee bid for him.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Nope, far too injury prone. Andy Webster II

Who thinks we'll actually sign any from Aluko, the two Indians and the young nepalese defender?
And what about Yoon Bit Garam?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Don't know about the defender but the rest look quality signings, Garam is just what we need right now, a bot of creativity that we are lacking. Davis isn't providing it, not half the player he one was.

Agree1 Disagree1

What more can Davis do though? St Johnstone knew fine well that everything was going to come through Davis and had two men all over him at every possibility and because of this resulted in long balls up to Jela. We can't rely on Davis all the time, Mo Edu is going to have to step to the plate and take more responsibility in matches. Davis had no support in midfield at all on Saturday. To say Davis isn't providing it is a bit harsh. He needs help in midfield it's as simple as that.....

I think there are too many "Fans" on here who need to lighten up. Whyte is not the guy who put the Gers in the Barry White. I feel he has done well so far he has spent a few million improving the contracts of our better players, K.O. a £6.5m offer for Jelavic which Lloyds would accepted and spent another £4m or so on transfer Fees. Yeah of course we won't be signing Tarabaat if hes valued at £10m and big spending P.S.G.are after him but not because we are not signing/loaning players as clearly Aluko has a decent chance of being signed.
Whyte like every chairman has to be prudent as there is clearly no dough in Scottish football and while this TAX case is in the balance.
From other similar cases it is clear that we will prob pay £10-20m max and I believe that is at worst case scenario and I believe Whyte would finance that. Yes before you slate me I know nothing more than any other Tom, Dick or Harry It is a guestimation!
If and it's a big IF we went into administration then we would be FREE to enter the lower levels of the English game legally and after 5-10 years we would be competing in a league that has the financial incentives that our great club deserve either way we are still at least 7 points clear in SPL, and for the record we haven't lost an SPL game since Whytes been at the helm. Yes we dropped 2 points at home on Saturday but they had a new manager, all of the international break to prepare and already took 3 points off them at the Piggery add to that suspensions and injuries to Naismith, Wallace and Wylde and there was no width in the side which made it tough, of course we expect to beating these sides but credit where its due they are decent and good value for a point.

Good post mate. Craig Whyte has our best interests at heart.

Agree5 Disagree1

Totally agree mate, wish there was more realistic people on her like yerself, white is not the bad guy everyone is making him out to be if it was not for him we would have been up the swanny at the start of the season there would have been no new contracts for davis, shagger, whits(even tho he hus been gash so far this season) papps etc as you said jela would have been sold for the 6.5, we just need to bide our time and see what happens cos as much as they come on here sprouting there old wives stories they heard doon the steemie thety r just in hope that we arse it all up and end up in admin, lets just hope it disnae happen.

on another note regarding the atmosphere at ibrox recently, it has been bloody shocking we have the blue order and the union bears trying to generate an atmosphere at games but no-one else seems bothered to joind in unless its to clap in support of the chants against the S.N.P and their leader alec (spit) salmond, if the rest of the fans in the govan, bill struth coapland and the rest of the broomie stand took there lead the players would get a lift from it and might not be dropping so many points at home -

Mccoist should have played perry on saturday and moved bocanegra to l.b.
Why play broadfoot at l.b.
Rangers need to fill the void left by naismith as we lacked width and pace on the flanks with wylde out and r.m is still a problem.
Bring mcmillan in at r.b and whitts into midfield?

Believable7 Unbelievable0

This makes sense! HBN

Agree0 Disagree0

Broadfoot is woeful, cost us the game. Simples.

Agree2 Disagree0

Wouldnt say cost us the game as we never lost but he was useless apart for the two consecutive headers he won at start of game, he did put a few good crosses in to the box for Jella but he should stick to his defensive roll and maybee he wouldnt get caught out at the back
