I now honestly think fellow 'bears fans that with laxey buying all these shares and now becoming the largest shareholders at rangers & they've stated today the they will be voting for the current board and not mccoll or paul murray's men that will be the end of the fight, I'm now disappointed & deeply concerned for our great club because I now believe paul murray & co can't win this fight, it should have been for chairman-david somers v dave king, for ceo-graham wallace v christian purslow etc but now its staying status quo, what's all your opinions on this fellow 'gers fans, BIG BOYDY9!

You have a point m8, and I can't argue with that, but my hope is that these factions are actually talking to each other in rangers best interests, however i'm worried who is behind all this shares business, Laxey are in this game for a reason, and it ain't because they're big Gers fans, they will soon own the rat greens shares too, all we want is to know what's happening, In saying all that it must be said the Gers board is suddenly taking on a very businesslike and decent look about it

Surprise surprise the group (Laxley) getting their first batch of shares from Green are now voting with the board instead of with fans groups. didn't take them long then to change their minds? I agree big boydy9 we shafted yet again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jim mccoll should have went for an egm weeks ago saved all this 5hit but we wil find out next month where we stand we must ask ourselfes if this lot are older more mature spivs

Agree0 Disagree0

Yet again we are shafted by another bunch of liars none of these muppets deserve to be anywer near our club
its bout time we the fans stoped supporting these people we should be marching in our thousands and instead of going into the match on matchday we should demonstrate out side this is the only way the investors will get itchy feet and want to move on stop giving them our support if we can not manage to do this then we deserve everything we get we need to start fighting back because we are getting stiched up again this why been long delay for agm total farce

Agree0 Disagree0

I think there's every chance either Marg. Holdings or Blue Pitch have sold their shares with a buy back clause after the AGM. This will avoid either of those 2 groups being identified.
I think you newbies are in deep deep trouble.
Your man King isn't buying despite price fall - why?

Agree0 Disagree0

A sorry sorry mess, not one person in the top shareholders at our club has actually invseted money in the club? that includes Ally. They buy shares from the grey people ie Green or prehaps people have been right and it is Ticketus in disguise getting part/or all of their money back.
Hope someone got the balls to dig deep into this heap of manure, can only see non investment and cost cutting along way with Laxley in the group all they do is want profit? which would mean large amount cut backs in staff and costs that's their MO. Not a case of living within our means more a case of they including Easedales etc taking thier pound flesh from seaon ticket money etc then if and it a big IF devide rest up into team etc? we running at loss presently so saimilar class player at present going to be norm if not less?

Agree0 Disagree0

He not buying because the money goes straight to the robbers not the club? why would he wish to invest into thier pockets? buy as many shares as you can? for what reason? to end up with massive debts current board running up?
King I feel is waiting on the fans to finally wake up? and not buy into their usual crap club against the world nonsense. after AGM think there going to be an awful lot of angry people and hopefull we won't be buying their seaon tickets package. unfortunatly it the only way to go. to get rid of the whole nasty mess.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you want control you must buy it. They had their chance and didn't end of story. Rangers will never be a force in football again.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP there was only one way McColl and co were going to be able to put up any fight at all and that was to buy shares, just like the easdales, just like Lakey etc, that's how you win control by having more shares than others, Their fight was over before it even begun,

ok they have managed to get a resolution put forward at the AGM but without the backing of shareholders that will go nowhere

I only hope that Stockbridge is not voted back on at the AGM and then none of the original board will remain

I hope that would be the first step in the right direction for us, unless of course George's grand conspiracy theory (which has been several years in the planning) includes just about every businessman and investment company in the UK to be in on the plan

6 month interim accounts are due after the end of december, that will tell us if we have stopped the cash drain, or not

Agree0 Disagree0

Tommyblue. the board is looking more business like?. the Easdales, sat and said nothing, nothing as asset strippers were welcomed in our door. Rangers fans?. businessmen?

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 Ally

If the Laxley group come in and start costing cutting as you say then how exactly are they going to turn in a profit? If the top players are sold and the team starts to struggle the supporters will stop coming especially if as you say the current board aren't interested in the club. Drastically reduced season ticket money and poor performances on the pitch can only lead to the share price tumbling even further. As for selling the players to get money well there isn't going to be much profit in that when we are currently playing in the 3rd tier of Scottish football. Even Wallace our best player would only command a nominal fee maybe £300-£400k at the moment. Now I am not saying for a minute you are wrong or that I am a supporter of the current board but surely it can't make business sense to spend millions and millions on something then just run it into the ground?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lax are not interested in the Team that will never turn a profit? However the assets are worth much more. I would start worrying abt their intentions.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stewie they will sell on the assests. such as Ibrox. etc. in sell and out in profit. Ally and backroom staff wages cut. players etc wages cut to balance books where they can make profit. Its what should been done by Green and co. we will have players on a top wage of around 1 or 2 thousand they don't do losing money. its not in their make-up. No maater what they either cut or sell on. for PROFIT. Why do you think thye have invested? because they like football? your having a laff surely. Even worse we can't stop them.

Agree0 Disagree0

It says in today's paper that blue pitch and margherita holdings have transferred shares to sandy easdale the one and only way to keep people from finding out who they are

Agree0 Disagree0

As the song says "Lets have a drink. its Margarita time. "

Agree0 Disagree0

@14 they have given sandy easdale the voting rights for those shares

Jg

Agree0 Disagree0

Stevie what's it to be, we all want the club to be run on a financially sound basis, for that to happen costs have to be cut and more revenue generated, now your complaining about costs being cut what's it to be?

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

@jg and your point is easdale still has their voting rights and they will be used to keep this board in power and they won't have to disclose who blue pitch and magerita really are

Agree0 Disagree0

@17 JG
Before you have a go at me please read my post. I am not complaining in it at all just trying to state that I don't think the situation is as clear cut as certain people are making out

ED039 a question for yourself as a concerned fan.
From my perspective, as an outsider looking in, nothing seems to have changed down Ibrox way.
Most of your fans are wanting Paul Murray, Jim McColl, Malcolm Murray and Dave King to form your next board. Pardon my ignorance, but were most of these guys involved with Rangers when you were first in Administration and then Liquidated? What is new in their thinking now and also their competence to run a club fiscally prudent.
Also you all want a "sugar daddy" to put more money into your club. Again that is the same thinking as before.
Instead of starting from scratch and rebuilding step by step and any monies coming into your club would be EARNED, you simply want the easy route again, of someone bankrolling you.
My team Celtic are now reaping the benefits of living within their means and building slowly. Any profit Celtic now make has been earned via good financial housekeeping.
Surely this is the more sensible way for Rangers football club to go down also? Timalloy

{Ed039's Note - not heard from you for a while Mr Molloy, I am in absolute agreement with you mate, many of us had hoped to build from the bottom, make use of Murra ..... I mean Auckenhowie, but as I have said all along the business plan is all wrong. As for Murray, King et al, they were there but I dont think admin/liquidation can be attributed to them, that must lie at the door of SDM and his hollywood financial advisors and Craig Shite and ticketus)

Timalloy you have stated that all us Rangers fans want a Sugar daddy to come in and take over our club well you are wrong and you even contradict your own words one minute you say we want Murry McColl murry and king then you say we want a sugar daddy what is it to be. you also go on about how wonderful your beloved Celtic are reaping the benefit of living within their own means.

Didn't your sugar daddy Mr Desmond not step in personally and pay the wages of Roy Keane then Robbie Keane because your team celtic could not afford them. I would not call that living within your means

{Ed039's Note - its nowhere near being the same thing either LB)

@ OP the ED is correct Paul Murray in particular had almost no profile when David Murray was in charge. All public appearances and proclamations were by David Murray.
Paul Murray and Alastair Johnston were on the "independent board" who were tasked with looking into Craig Shyte and reported back with grave concerns about the man and his ability to deliver.
Shyte is sadly still gaining public notice every now again instead of quietly disappearing off the face of the planet as most bears wish he would. The facilitator of the whole charade David Murray has escaped relatively unscathed and his statement that "he was duped" by Shyte in spite of Paul Murray and Alastair Johnston's council just never held water.
What a majority of bears have not learned is at some point the unsustainable buying for success MUST END. Unless we produce our own young talent with big sell on value we will go through investment after investment because we are a big club in a very small country and spend far more than we earn. Our ratio of salary/ wage spend to earnings ratio is utterly ridiculous. And the head in the sand fans who prattle on about 12 out of 12 and clubs who rear their own youth never win anything are sleep walking with the bus brothers to another financial nightmare. I am less confident that Jim McColl and Paul Murray will win the day after recent share movements but if they do it will be interesting what these astute business men make of the Murray Park white elephant, no scouts, high wages for management and experienced pros exclusively (almost -1 current exception Lewis McLeod)- who are doing the job in the THIRD tier of Scottish football.
We are miles away from a Champions League spot but we need to budget for life without it and not be dependent on it when we get back to the top division.
These investors are being peddled the myth that we are a world wide brand and that eventually they will make loads of money from The Rangers- b*******! We ain't no world wide brand we are big in Scotland we are below the radar in most countries.
WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE bears/ directors/ would be directors /management before it is too late -again and our enemies in the East and the rest of Scotland get what they crave our demise.
No need to ban me ED I'm doing that myself in the words of Fraser of Dad's Army fame "were doomed"- nearly!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Why would I ban you Nbear?? That was a great post mate. You couldnt have hit the nail on the head any harder if you tried, well done that man. Your posts are always welcome)

We have read the same sentences from you before pal, quite a few times in fact, and again you use the immortal phrase "YOU All", how do you know that?. is DD not a sugar daddy,? Tell me how many Rangers fans have you spoken to who ALL WANT a sugar daddy?, I suspect none, you just felt you had to rewrite your old post because something positive might have happened today at Ibrox, I suspect you don't like that sort of thing,
Tommyblue

Agree0 Disagree0

Near, why would you be banned? There is nothing obscene, racist or bigoted in your comments. I actually agree with most of your post.
