despite some fans going rather potty about the impending adidas deal im rather unhappy bout it me my two sons and my brothe, thats 2 adults tops and two kids tops do the maths... if i had known it was only for one season i wouldnt have bothered my backside i work for my money as do we all but this is not right.

Believable14 Unbelievable5

What's not right? What exactly are you complaining about?

Agree7 Disagree6

Don't buy em. Overpriced sh1t. You used to be able to buy any football related stuff in that sports shop under the umbrella at central sta. Do you really think you get any benefit from it ? Besides, grown men wearing this crap look like Derbyshire hunts.

Agree11 Disagree4

The current strip is smart in my opinion. Have to agree though with the grown men comment, especially when they are carrying a pound or 2 extra. How often over last few seasons have they NOT changed every season. There was also a wee clue with the new strip- 2012/13 strip.

Agree4 Disagree0

Don't buy it then. Go to the games Rangers, the money goes to the club another way.

To the clown who says "over priced crap". "look like hunts ". There is no finer sight in football. Than Ibrox in summer when everyone is wearing their top. Sea of blue! Get over yourself mate.

Agree6 Disagree8

@4. There are probably millions of finer sights than thousands of sartorially challenged people wearing cheap badly designed garments they've paid 2000% over the cost to buy. A sunset over the western isles is just 1.

Agree5 Disagree2

@4: much more money will go to Rangers by going to games than by buying shirts. It's a minimal amount that clubs receive from shirt sales, although many fans think it's a fortune.

we all know in life we have good an evil. celtic without doubt are evil.rangers are good.when whyte took over i thought bulbous eyes.looks like a tim.must b full of crap. so never believed a thing he said. green is blunt like a yorkshireman is. but i cannot think of one thing so far he has said. that i have:disagreed with. can-any sane ger? the big man

Believable7 Unbelievable28

So Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid et al are dwarfed by Rangers ?

And you want to give Ally a 25 year contract?

Bed in a darkened room for you son!

Agree27 Disagree2

Okaaay. Let's put the obvious out the way first. Don't read your post in the morning it will only make you feel worse. Moving on from good and evil, bulbous eyes ? yes, but !
Craig whyte LOOKS like a tim deserves some further thought. Ok that's far enough. You are mental.

Agree28 Disagree0

O.P. Step away from the glue- it's not good for you!-"looks like a tim"-what is wrong with you? Are you a demented child?
Green is a blunt Yorkshireman-generic(look it up if you don't know the meaning of the word) nonsense!
So "the big man" I must ask how is life in the 17th century? You are the kind of supporter Rangers doesn't need!

I despair!"bulbous eyes"(I have a Black Moor fancy goldfish that has a characteristic pair of protruding eyes-is my goldfish a tim?-of course it's not!)

I hope you "the big man" were off yer face when you posted this drivel, if not you should consider going away & giving us normal people peace!
ThatsNotMyName

Agree24 Disagree2

How do you know you're goldfish isn't a tim ? Have you known it all it's life ? did you know it's parents ? What school did it go to ? It sounds like a tim to me.

Agree6 Disagree8

So Marty Feldman was a Tim, eh?

Agree12 Disagree1

What marks someone out as 'looking like a tim' ? Didnt those guys in Germany about 70 years ago have some kind of similarviews abot how people looked ? YOU REALLY DO NEED HELP MATE.

Agree23 Disagree2

Lol....lol...lol...LOL....finally, we have the first guy connected to the old Rangers who has gone officially mad due to the death of his club...lol...lol..LOL... LOL......

Agree19 Disagree2

Ahhh finally, a "I never trusted Whyte from the beginning" claimant. I presume you also believed the BBC documentary and the EBT blog?

While it is clear you are DESPERATE for history and any tiny pathetic record at the moment please don't try to re-write it. What's next to be "bear-brushed" into the history books?

One fan was accused of littering in Manchester, only incident all day?

We never had a bigoted, sectarian signing policy?

All 276 creditors were paid in full, with interest?

The tax man owes us?

A pathetic individual who follows a pathetic club.

Agree13 Disagree1

Great post. at last some honesty. dont u just love it when celtic fans bite through obsession

Agree5 Disagree8

@9: a ridiculous, hateful post (referring to Celtic as 'evil') is great? You're as bad as the OP.

further to a post (a lot further down
the page) if rangers have been using
EBT's since DM arrived or very soon
after (as it's starting to look) if
scottish football (whichever body)
look into this, the gers (oldco) could
really take a doing, I'm astonished
none of the old board stood up to DM
stating the (EBT's) COULD be constroud
as cheating! the wolves are circling,
they sense blood and after some of the
drubbings we handed out using players
who MAY not have been being paid above
board, I've got to say, this could get
a hell of a lot worse. saw other posts
saying as much on this site MONTHS
ago & that was before any of this came
out. after some of the happiest days
of my life, I now despair at DM's
stewardship. I say this as my own brother
played against his boyhood hero's, took
a 4-0 drubbing despite playing his heart
out saying the gers were 'different class'
now we're both heartbroke at how
that 'class' may have got on to a
scottish pitch!

Believable13 Unbelievable3

You've got to question about Laudrop, Gasgoine, Albertz et al, Hugh McAdam former director has already alluded to it.

Walter has been suspiciously quiet on the whole affair; the silence of a guilty man perhaps?

Agree17 Disagree4

How many times oldco were now newcO and can't be made liable what don't you lot grasp.

Agree0 Disagree11

Chuck agreed to bear the footballing responsibility , debts , punishments , transfer embargos etc!

Agree12 Disagree1

But the old board were on EBTs (directors, players, managers)....

Why would they complain when getting 50% more income !!!

Good news is directors can go to jail.. .if why they did was illegal, hard to say you did not see the illegality when you making millions from it...

Agree2 Disagree0

Walter not responsible for paying players only owners and board , yes cg agreed to pay football debts so it looks likely that there will be title stripping and a financial penalty along with another transfer embargo , to contend with as i fear the book will be thrown at us , this however will be after hmrc get there teeth into us again , unfortunately the guilt is oozing out of us and we are wide open to ridicule

Real Madrid wearing Adidas this season and the contract runs to 2016.

I'm sure Adidas and Real Madrid will be delighted with their new spokesman Chico Green, announcing Adidas will no longer be providing their kit.

Not content with winding everyone up in Scotland he is now taking his crap to foreign shores.

Believable15 Unbelievable1

You've got to wonder if he knows the games up after coming out with these ludicrous remarks, it's as if he is deranged, not intouch with reality?

Agree17 Disagree0

I posted yesterday to say that he just seems to come up with any old nonsense to try and keep the fans onside and I wouldn't be getting involved in any share issue from him and Imran Ahmed.

Doesn't he realise that what Rangers fans absolutely crave after Murray and Whyte is HONESTY and TRANSPARENCY?

Now Green has made lots of promises; some he will no doubt find difficult to deliver for whatever reason but why oh why hasn't he delivered on securing McCoist for 25 years. There's no excuse for him not drawing up a contract and getting Alistair to sign it.
For the sake of Scottish football we demand that Ally signs for 25 years!

Thanks G and er the "brave" unamed

I sat up making plasticine players
and Sevco played them today in a
closed doors game. 0 - 0 half time
but the superior movement and fitness
of the plasticine team eventually proved
too much and they beat Sevco 4-0.
But give Sally his due he said "my players

I think Ally should look at bringing in someone like Billy Reid (Hamilton Mgr) in as his number 2. He has a great track record of developing young players, plays a decent brand of football and most importantly knows what's required in the lower leagues. The current management structure simply does not meet the criteria we need in current predicament.

Ernesto

Believable5 Unbelievable5

What about Ally stepping aside and let someone like Billy Reid take the reigns, Ally has got no managerial ability nor potential despite serving the longest ever apprenticeship (DR's qualify in less time!!).
A new club in a low division requires a manager with proven experience at this level, Jim Jeffries, Jim Leishman or John Lambie for me!

Hamilton currently sit in 9th postion of theI Irn Bru Scottish First Division.

Believable13 Unbelievable5

Celtic romped to victory in the first ever old firm game, won the last ever old firm game and had the biggest winning margin in an old firm game, a record which is also the biggest deficit for a domestic cup final.

No too bad eh.

Was just looking at this infamous zombie banner that Celtic are in the dock over and I couldn't help but notice that the zombie hand has 6 fingers LMAO.

I'm beginning to wonder if any of the greem brigade members actually have a brain. First there was the "poppygate" banner which had BLOODSTAINED spelled "BLOOSTAINED" and now, in their minds, after a human dies and becomes a zombie, they grow an extra finger LMAO.

Keel up the good work green brigade.....

Charles Green has admitted that its a "performance-related structure" that'll pay him.

The question has got to be, who put this performance-related structure in place?!

I'd hazard a guess that it's Ticketus/Octupus intent on recouping the money the was used to stop the old club going out of business sooner than it did ie to pay Lloyds.

Also murmurs going about that the new outfit owes half a million to a few different companies and that legal action is underway. I've got a funny feeling that cash is being siphoned away from the new club . . .

Believable18 Unbelievable9

Who are the companies

Seem to remember draws and replays with Hamilton and Thistle. Don't think he took charge at cup finals. Didn't fancy him as a manager then and still don't. Make all the excuses you want. Mr Ashley has shares in a number of sportswear companies. Many of the PL kit deals go the company who offer the most money to design and make a teams kit e.g. Puma for Newcastle, Warrior for Liverpool etc. I dare say that Ranegrs new kit deal would have taken a similiar route

Anyways bit of trivia, 2 brothers started Adidas, they had a small fight and one of the brothers left and created Puma so the 2 companies are closer than you think.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Yesit must have been a very small fight for one of them to up sticks and start his own company.

So Chico announces that Rangers are in discussions with Adidas.

I think he needs to learn to keep his mouth shut and tell us when a deal is done. "Discussions" are irrelevant until the deal is completed.

And even when a deal is completed, the fact that he would have a deal with Adidas is in itself pretty meaningless. It is the terms of the deal that are relevant.

How long is the deal for, what are the financial terms of the deal, and how does it compare to the existing deal. Adidas does not automatically mean a better deal.

The same goes for any potential deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

Me thinks that Chico is showing desperation to try and get more money in from supporters by painting a rosy pitcure that as yet has no substance to it.

Believable23 Unbelievable8

Green is lifting his skirt like a Savoy slapper looking for a rich boyfriend.A gallery player if ever there was one.I also find it strange he is still in bed with Media House,Whyte's PR people, are they feeding him the lines they think fans will swallow?

Agree13 Disagree0

Theories elsewhere is insufficient monies to last beyond xmas, and FLOAT on stock market only way.........

Agree13 Disagree1

I know a lot about American football, I've been to a number of games including a Superbowl and for the life of me I don't see the tie up between the two and I guarantee you Cowboys fans wont either.

If looking at other combinations Celtic and the Boston Celtics (Basketball) would work possibly, name and colours the same etc.

For me, I see Celtic as a Scottish team and would hate them to go down the Notre Dame road ("the fighting Irish" as they're known).

Man. Utd and the NY Yankees tried something similar but all they had in common was they were both huge global brands.

The Texas Rangers (baseball) or NY Rangers (Ice Hockey) would make more sense. NY play in red, white and blue, now that I can see.

It isn't the first time we have dabbled with it in Scotland by the way. In Celtic's centenary season a number of fans started wearing NY Jets star Al Toon's green and white number 88. In response, without any numerical correlation, Rangers fans started wearing NY Giants Phil Simms number 11.

But irony of ironies, having been at Wembley when the 49ers played the Broncos 2 years ago I recall mass cheering from the crowd as the Dallas score came up and they were getting beat, prompting the commentators to talk about it during the highlights later. Dallas because of their self proclaimed title of being "America's team" are hated by the fans of all other clubs, similarly their owner (Jerry Jones) is a bit of an egotistical nut job, ahhh wait, I beginning to see the tie up lol.

Agree8 Disagree1

Bought a new pair trackies last week from the adidas website... So technically I was in discussions with them too... Only difference is I concluded a deal...

Agree10 Disagree0

Dallas got that name cos they sold the most merchandise nationwide but I think the cowgirls had a lot to do with it.

Agree1 Disagree2

5) You don't sell the most merchandise without already being a big team, the advent of games live on tv and more tv's in households (start of the 60's) plus the fact that they perenially had winning seasons made the cowboys America's team. Though sure, the cowgirls didn't hurt lol.

"They said to me we've lost Liverpool and Real Madrid, Rangers will be the biggest club we have."

Charles Green on Adidas.

I think last seasons Champions League finalists, FC Bayern of Munich might have something to say about that Chuck.

Believable21 Unbelievable2

And you lot are buying that are you's? Charles Green opens his mouth and you all lap it up.....pathetic! Why would Adidas feel NewCo that can't play in Europe for 3 years be a great signing?

DazzaBhoy {Ed001's Note - because they sell shirts. Why would adidas care what league Rangers participate in if they are making money selling their shirts?}

Agree13 Disagree3

Like it or not dazza Rangers are still one of the biggest clubs around with one of the biggest fan bases, ofcourse Adidas would want the revenue that brings.

Agree6 Disagree9

Ed001 again! Yawn
Why would adidas be interested in a team that doesn't get much TV coverage?

DazzaBhoy {Ed001's Note - are you really this stupid? They don't do the strip deals for TV coverage, it is about selling shirts. Yawn all you want, but you need to get your head out your backside and stop being so pathetic. Have you never heard of a clothing company selling clothes before? Perhaps I should get my little girl on here to explain it to you, as it is obviously a bit of a difficult concept for you.}

Agree7 Disagree1

"BILLIONAIRE Mike Ashley is in advanced talks with Rangers chief executive Charles Green about buying a stake of up to 10% in the club and forming a joint venture to sell its replica kit through his Sports Direct stores."

Now its adidas doing kit?, are the buying a stake as well... ?

Dont see any £18 million up front payments being announced, unlike JJB sport deal.... {Ed001's Note - Sports Direct were never going to make the strips, they are not manufacturers. This is like talking to 5 year olds! Stupid posts about idiotic things that are so simple they shouldn't need to be explained repeatedly.}

Agree2 Disagree0

For all I know Green is ready to secure a great deal for Rangers here.

BUT when he says somebody from Adidas told him they 'will be the biggest club we have' it does cast doubt on it, since I believe they represent both of last year's Champion's League finalists and one of the Milan clubs. Frankly, I think he made up that statement, the latest in a long line of similar statements that I think he's made up purely to get people onside.

I was initially highly suspicious of Green when he spoke of HMRC giving him the nod that his CVA would be accepted then thought we had to give the guy a chance as nobody else was stepping up to the plate. Now I have to admit I don't automatically believe a word he says and won't be investing in any share issue from him and Imran Ahmed.

Far too much spin and not enough transparency.

Just read Charles Green's comments regards certain SPL clubs being welcomed at Ibrox and others not so much so.

Motherwell (who he welcomes) had a fan vote and found any support for Rangers untenable. Fair enough. Didn't some other clubs do that too? I'm sure Inverness did.

Now here's the thing, why isn't he naming any others in either column?

And here is the real answer. They are the first SPL team to visit Ibrox post the withdrawal of their SPL membership, 10 voted against, one abstained, what is the chance that the first visitor is seen favourably?

Answer: Pretty high. Because this has nothing to do with whether Motherwell were tempted to vote Rangers in or not, it has nothing to do a perceived pro or anti Rangers stance. IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH GETTING PUNTERS IN THE GATE FOR THE GAME.

And if he plays the anti-Motherwell card then that affects the gate and for all that will affect Motherwell's share it sure as hell affects Rangers share too.

You are being used yet again guys, another manipulating owner hiding behind the now almost transparent "we are Rangers everybody hates us" (unless it financially suits) mantra.

I'm sure Green has just about as much antipathy for Motherwell as he does for every club in that league. His contemptable reference to Ross County "Why, for example, would Ross County spend all their lifetime trying to get into the SPL to find Rangers were not there?" Shows his complete disregard for these clubs. Ross County's sole reason for aspiring to the SPL was to be in the same league as Rangers. Really? I'm sure that is news to them.

It is a shamefully arrogant, presumptious statement and shows his real feelings for SPL teams. That's fine I don't blame him in some regard but please don't blow smoke up my ass because Motherwell are welcomed for nothing more than the prospect of more Gers fans cash.

Believe it if you want but I'd say it's more than coincidental that negative comments from him might see more of you stay away knowing that the away club benefits financially too.

Believable14 Unbelievable4

Actually if Rangers got say Aberdeen or Hibs, Green could play the 'we don't like them card' which would sell a lot of tickets, through the creation of a derby match idea. Clearly marketing isn't your strong point.

Agree5 Disagree6

Folk have to remember it's only a few weeks ago that Mr Green was having to stay in a secret location at night through fear of Rangers fans and a RFC legend Bomber was unable to tell fans what Green had said to him for the man's safety.

Obviously he's going to try and get supporters onside by making statements they will agree with.

Agree8 Disagree1

1) Clearly brains aren't your strong point, what would hurt Aberdeen more 50,000 boos or a 14,000 gate?

A number of you keep saying some SPL clubs will fold this year etc etc, I've never seen opposition fans boos make a club fold yet.

So sure Green could turn it into a bit of a grudge match but I'm presuming some of you realise that hurting pockets has more impact than hurting ears. You have threatened boycotts on damn near everything since February, a club Green or anyone paints in a bad light would be first to feel that boycott, he knows it. There are threads all over the net about whether Rangers fans should boycott it, despite Motherwell being painted in a positive light, even billing them as Celtic mk II wont raise the gate but actually lower it.

@3. You're memory can't be very good these days or maybe just selective. The majority of fans of SPL clubs threatened to boycott their own teams if their chairmen did not expel Rangers from the SPL. I don't personally agree with boycotts against teams but if the Rangers fans choose to do it then that is their choice, I find it a bit hypocritical of fans from other SPL teams criticising Rangers supporters.

Alistair McCoist is the first ever manager to get knocked out of all 5 competitions available to a Scottish manager; Champions League; Europa League; Scottish Cup; Scottish League Cup & Harry Ramsdens Cup.

On top of that he's squandered the biggest ever margin of lead in the SPL & is struggling in the lowest division with a team that's being paid SPL wages.

I could see the point in keeping him if there were grounds for optimism but really . . .

Green is taking a rise out us all saying he's going to sign him up on a 25 year contract.

9 points (real terms) isn't the biggest ever margin, take your obsessive attitude elsewhere.

"We didn't blow in REAL TERMS 15 point lead"

Chortle chortle!!

Haha!!

@1: give it up, the gap was 15. Isn't it Alex Ferguson who always says he'd rather have points than games in hand as you never know what will happen in football.

Previously, I have been embarassed by some of the comments made by CG today I am just saddend by his latest outbursts, he is becoming a bit of a bore and makes us more enemies at a time when we need friends. To state that clubs will not be welcome at Ibrox is a disgrace,we are the premier sporting institution in this country and not only do we accept the challenges placed before us we welcome opposing fans to our home ground so that they may enjoy a day out at one of the worlds Iconic sporting venues.jaz.rtid

Well said. CG is a businessman but this does nothing for the club. Now he can read eyes and he knows who was pressured into their vote and they won't be made welcome. What kind of dross is that? Not exactly the kind of statements which make other businessmen want to buy into the club when they have this type of charcter at the helm.

I called it right after your last game that just wait to see what he will come up with next to distract all the fans, once again. He seems to rally the fans that way as to avoid the bad, the sad thing is most fall for it(as for what I see on here) but you seem to see through the bs, hope more follow you for the sake of your club.

Was with you all the way until the "premier sporting institution" statement had me on the floor pissing myself. Once I had recovered I read "one of the worlds Iconic sporting venues". I almost flatlined.

Mate and why does it embarrass you I'm happy that he stands up for the club fair enough sometimes I think that's flying a bit close to the wind. The only thing that embarrasses me is our players not having the ability they are supposed to have. At the end of the day why should we be happy to let other clubs make money of us especially teams from the SPl they did not want us so in hindsight they should not want to make money of us but they do double standards or what

Agree2 Disagree12

Well stated mate. I'm sure all the current 12 SPL clubs would welcome us as usual when we get back regardless of Greens regrettable stance.
He is also mischievously incorrect in his statements. For instance saying 10 SPL teams voted against and one abstained to let us in the SPL...... He didn't mention Oldco Rangers under D&P voted us in!!
He also had a ruffled tirade ending with slagging SCOTLAND on national TV.
It all suggests he was not happy with attendance and result the evening before. I personally don't think the sums are adding up.

He's sussed saying extreme things = revenue income. So he will keep doing it until folk stop paying for it.

Yes, sitting in the lower Broomloan Road stand I always felt welcome - as welcome as a fart in a space suit as MBr Connolly once said. Spittle rainy down, objects being throw and my religion denigrated ( and I'm not even a Celtic fan ). Oh yes very welcome
at the premier sporting institution.
