Went to buy away top and ended up with long sleeved home and 3rd strip because away top sold old. Must be the favourite.

21 Sep 2018 20:58:11
Just had email to say away strip coming soon after paying for strips. Anybody know was it sold out or just not released did anyone get one.

21 Sep 2018 21:24:02
Think it's only the home and third out just now. Away one to come soon I believe. Took me ages to get in website earlier but seems to be working better now.

21 Sep 2018 21:46:48
I went on at half 5 and never got through till 8.30. It seems to work every time you click on it now.

22 Sep 2018 00:11:53
When you think of players that couldn't play last night it shows the strength of squad that we've got. Last year we would have watched a game like that behind the couch. Well done SGand staff for bringing nights like that back.

22 Sep 2018 09:55:59
cf
I think they home and third are / will be the most popular so the resource are going in to producing them at the moment.

21 Sep 2018 20:45:23
I understand this year saw the 10th anniversary of the sad passing of Tommy Burns, I would like to ask all fairplay fans here to say one for him and his family. I thought Tommy was a decent fairplay guy and a true gentleman off the park, and he went about his business in a very honest way. Bless him, even though he was in the opposition team and bench.

21 Sep 2018 21:17:22
I was lucky enough to meet Tommy a couple of times through his best pal Gerry. Absolute gentleman. Loved Celtic. which isn't a crime. what a left leg and simply a great guy.

21 Sep 2018 21:34:08
Did not know Tommy personally but one of my best mates family were friends with his family and he spoke very highly of him.

I knew his sister well enough - wee Rosie, who was a waitress in the Alhambra back in the day.

God Bless.

21 Sep 2018 22:21:04
I’m Tommy, supercoop, jinky and Baxter and tearing it up on the big mans grass in the sky.

22 Sep 2018 07:21:57
I remember as if it was yesterday when we came home from manchester, in
may 2008, after losing our uefa cup final to zenit, to heading to celtic park, to pay our respects and laying down our scarves, after learning of the very sad passing of celtic legend, tommy burns! Tommy was a total gentleman, who always got total respect from us rangers supporters! God bless tommy burns, god rest his soul! Taken far too early! What an educated, cultured left peg tommy had Great footballer and of course, above all else, a special person and family man!

22 Sep 2018 09:11:13
I met Tommy a couple of times through a mutual friend. One word describes him to a t. Class.

22 Sep 2018 14:34:17
Tommy Burns was total class on and off the park. He loved Celtic and I have seldom heard a Gers fan say a bad word about him. Total respect.

21 Sep 2018 20:26:43
Can anyone say if the badge on the new strip is stitched on or a transfer?

21 Sep 2018 20:57:24
According to the website it's raised rubber.

22 Sep 2018 09:05:39
Why raised rubber? All decent suppliers have an embroidered badge😡🇬🇧.

21 Sep 2018 14:41:46
just been reading a norwich fan site and they're grumbling about middleton, one belter though says, 'Lafferty has found his level at rangers, they're still behind behind us in quality'. Would love to see the mighty Norwich City go over there and get a result.

21 Sep 2018 11:59:10
Anyone know why there were no interviews last night?

21 Sep 2018 12:27:24
No interviews because Gers embargo on speaking to STV, BBC, SKY until they get fair reporting by their journos.

21 Sep 2018 12:36:07
There was i saw kyle laffertys but when i checked on youtube to see if gerrards was there they were gone if u check youtube for them u can see the thumbnail but no video🤔🤔.

21 Sep 2018 12:39:04
Ye but that was bt dport last night and rangers tv youtube channel cqn still show it.

21 Sep 2018 13:07:28
I know about the bbc crap but it was bt sport. Not even anything on the rangers YouTube channel.

21 Sep 2018 13:23:47
All post match interviews were on Rangers Tv from about 12.

21 Sep 2018 18:29:55
Post match interview with Steven Gerrard on BT web site.

21 Sep 2018 11:25:12
After some of the saves McGregor has been pulling off I can't for the life of me think why at some point he never ended up a one of the big clubs in england or europe.
Anyway I want to know who that lone ranger was behind the Villarreal goal. Any one else spot him when we scored our goals bouncing around like a mad man amongst there fans. Brilliant.

21 Sep 2018 11:59:42
Just my personal opinion but I think the McGregor question can be put down to the fact he's Scottish and the mentality the English premier league have towards us!

21 Sep 2018 12:16:52
I'm sure at the time he was linked with spurs they were put off by his lack of height.

21 Sep 2018 16:28:48
He did! We're still in Europe and hopefully will be after December ;)

23 Sep 2018 14:56:00
Are Rangers not one of the big clubs in Europe?

21 Sep 2018 11:21:32
think a mention for big Laff is due, he ran his socks off all night, and scored a stunner.
well done the Ulster Gazelle.

21 Sep 2018 10:41:50
I see people criticising airfield. I thought his first half performance in my opinion was awful. got better in the 2nd half. not great but better. we are still screaming out for someone in the midfield to their foot on the ball and dictate play. A Barry Ferguson type. just my opinion.

21 Sep 2018 11:12:48
If we're going to stand off teams like we did in the first half then Arfield is going to struggle same with coulibaly (who to me was not fully fit last night) these guys are much better closing the yards and playing aggressive football.

21 Sep 2018 11:32:26
Villarreal are going to make a lot of teams look average and a lot of world class players look average. They are a huge club. If you can spend £70million in the transfer market you are expecting glory.
That single point could be the difference at the end of the group games. They took us for granted. 9 changes, half empty stadium. They are still expected to go top of this group and probably will.
The best time to play the hardest game is the first game. Its out the way we got a point, they won't mess around in there remaining games now. We want them to run away with it really. We just need to be there bogey team.

21 Sep 2018 11:34:32
Your opening sentence I thought you might be defending Arfield but no. I don't get all this criticism of the players. Scottish press as well today hardly supporting what was a fantastic result. We were up against tough opponents and all of our players deserve credit.

21 Sep 2018 12:18:15
Ryan Jack is that player for us. Arfield may not have had his best game last night but he is a massive player for us.

21 Sep 2018 15:48:32
Great result last night. I thought we sat off them too much in the first half, same as we did against the tic, but when we got at them in the second half we looked a different team, and I thought villareal looked shocked at this turn around. Coming together more and more as a team now, we just need more confidence to get in the opponents faces, whoever they are. I know we were the only british team not to win, but we were arguably up against the hardest opposition in villareal, and are still unbeaten in Europe. I don't think many of us could have imagined this pre-season!

21 Sep 2018 10:05:23
How people can still sit and slate Andy Halliday after last night is beyond me, the guy had a pass percentage of 91% last night which is the same as Santi Carzola. He made 3 successful tackles and 2 successful interceptions.

21 Sep 2018 10:40:20
Really? your going to compare his performance to cazorla? He wasnt bad but calm doon .

21 Sep 2018 11:52:41
Did you see what he done near the end when he had plenty time and space to pick a pass? He booted it out the park and gave it back to them.

21 Sep 2018 12:12:26
Frustrated blue what i am stating is fact they both completed 91% of their passes last night? don't understand what's wrong with stating fact. Another fact half of the morons getting on at Halliday are only doing so because others are. I will admit when Halliday or any other player for that matter plays poorly i'm also very critical but when players are getting slated for a good performance that's just shocking, people wonder why players struggle coming to old firm teams its because here you can't make one mistake without getting slaughtered. Blue89 i completely forgot every single player must play a full game making zero mistakes, I've seen Ronaldo completely mess up skills, difference is where Ronaldo has played the fans want to see you do well so will continue to support him, whereas here you misplace a pass and your own fans turn on you.

21 Sep 2018 12:23:52
Kyle surely you know by now that certain posters on here pick a player, one of their own players, and said player can do nothing right. Halliday had a GOOD game last night did he not? Over to you frustrated.

21 Sep 2018 13:10:02
The fact that folk feel the need to constantly defend him shows he’s not rangers quality and they have a soft spot for him just because “he’s rangers through and through”.

21 Sep 2018 13:23:39
Also facts that although same passing percentage carzola strolled the game and made 10 times the amount of passes. Crazy to even compare. I wasnt bothered about halliday playin last night. Really don't rate the lad. But i really feel the league should be are main focus. I think mid 3 on sunday be coulibaly arfield jack if fit if not the dorrans.

21 Sep 2018 14:01:47
Halliday does not need anyone to defend him but on this forum where even after a good result people, who say they are fans, are determined to slag him off hence people putting up an alternative opinion. Our results this season have been better with Halliday IN the team.

21 Sep 2018 14:27:22
Blue89 i'm defending the guy because IMO he hardly put a foot wrong yet he seems to get some amount of stick. You have to give credit where credit is due and i thought he put in a good performance. I wasn't saying halliday is the same class as Cazorla because that is ludicrous i was merely pointing out the fact they both successfully completed 91% of their passes. The wider point i am making is that every little mistake tends to get picked up on and amplified, when in reality everyone makes mistakes and has bad games it doesn't help in any way to sit and belittle them. Confidence is a must for any footballer and i can only imagine what your own support slaughtering you can do to your confidence.

21 Sep 2018 14:45:58
Absolute embarrassment people can't just applaud the guy. He was outstanding last night.

It's that bad people are bringing up the time he put the ball out of play. Do you realise it's Andy Halliday playing against the team that finished 5th in La Liga?

He was one of our best players last night,

Also, has nothing to do with him being 'Rangers through and through', most people wanted him gone after last season but have now given him credit where credit is due, as he has massively improved his game under Gerrard.

21 Sep 2018 15:01:03
How many key passes did he make? out of his 91% how many were back to centre halfs or keeper? Comparing his performance to cazorla is just daft cazorla ran the show. I don't hate halliday he's simply not good enough if we want to kick on.

21 Sep 2018 16:14:21
But we have kicked on with him in the team. So.

21 Sep 2018 16:15:00
You're right, Frustrated Blue, you're not allowed to say the slightest thing on here as you are immediately branded a 'hater'. Halliday had a decent game but comparing him to Cazorla is stupidity on a different scale. That's actually doing Halliday no favours whatsoever. I notice the statistic about unforced errors (Halliday 5 Cazorla 1), wasn't included, but there you go. Under Gerrard, Halliday has had a new lease of life, going from a busted flush to a decent hand. He knows he will be a squad player when everybody is fit and that's as it should be. As a supporter, Halliday will know that the day he isn't even being considered it will mean Rangers have improved beyond his ability level and will accept that. Good on him, he's a battling Rangers man who did well last night, but he's not the future.

21 Sep 2018 16:29:17
Your spot on frustrated. Every pass he makes is side ways. Folk saying he was outstanding are getting carried away. He done ok but let’s not go overboard and start saying he’s better than he is. His best game was when he played left back against Maribor.

21 Sep 2018 18:47:17
Halliday hasn't put a foot a wrong in any game he has played this season, solid performances in every game. Yip he isn't the most gifted and I have gave him plenty of stick before but credit where its due, halliday is doing just fine👍.

21 Sep 2018 20:10:27
I never said he had put a foot wrong. He's been fine n done a decent job every game he's played, can't not flag it up when someone compares his performance last night to santi cazorla because they had the same pass success %. Cazorla probably had 20x more touches of ball n ran the whole show never saw halliday pass it forward once I donthink think?

22 Sep 2018 07:21:51
FFS he’s not comparing Halliday to corzola what’s so difficult to understand. Listen, a don’t for 1 minute think he is a world beater but the fact we have a manager who was one of the greatest midfielders of our generation thinks he can do a job as a SQUAD player is good enough for me. The biggest problem for me is after a fantastic result folk are still on here slating our players. Get a grip man.

22 Sep 2018 10:28:56
Nobody slated him. The op posted first before anybody said anything about halliday, and he did compare there performance if you don't think he did u need to read the post again. Halliday is a hslf decent squad player who can fill a few positions, nothing more nothing less. He gets my support but in my opinion were a better team when he's not in it it's that simple for me.

23 Sep 2018 14:56:36
In my opinion Halliday is a good squad player to have who can fill in for Jack etc when they are injured.
But credit where credit is due - he hasn’t let the side or more importantly Gerrard down when he has been called upon.
So the constant criticism of him ( and others like Windass before him ) I just don’t understand. Whoever is lucky enough to pull on the famous blue jersey gets my 100% support. 🔴⚪️🔵.

21 Sep 2018 09:20:30
hi fellow bears didn't see the game last night but i watched it at 6 this morning. a few things i would like to say the first half was hard for us but mcgregor only had one save to make . i thought worral looks a good strong player wouldn't mind hanging on to him . borna bear is world class watch that pass from midleton to borna he looked once and bang absolute world class he defended well too. mcgregor simply brilliant goldson a rock kent a few nice touches and back helping defence. we were missing 5 / 6 players and still we get a result haven't been this happy in years . all in all a fantastic team performance well done to SG the perfect gentleman for showing so much class after the match.

21 Sep 2018 08:21:52
That was some match bears. First half, stood off and gave way too much respect to them, maybe a bit shocked by loosing that early goal but we need to get better at starting with a bit of positivity. Reminds me of those fighters that need to get punched in the face a few times before they remember they've got fists as well.
Second half, what a difference. A bit of belief and industry went a long way and really felt we should have nicked it at the end. Middleton was immense when he came on, changed the whole shape of the team, turned their RB inside out, just didn't know what to do with him. Dorrans looked bright as well, hopefully can get his fitness up as he looked every bit the player we hoped he would be. Also thought Capt Tav and Halliday had solid games. Special mention for the support, they were vocal the whole game, totally drowned out the villa fans. Those players are in for a shock at ibrox.

21 Sep 2018 07:38:23
Big shout out to the fans last night. I wasn't in Spain but couldn't believe my ears. The noise they made as they sang and clapped and cheered the whole game even after conceding each goal! Must have given the lads a huge lift. Well done guys, so proud of you.

21 Sep 2018 11:36:50
good shout seeker our fans were fabulous

the noise they made for 90mins was brilliant just like the old cliché they were our 12th man.

23 Sep 2018 14:54:08
@theseeker - well said. Thought the fans were brilliant out there.
But I’ve always said we have the most loyal, supportive fans in the world. 👍.

Review Of The Day 21st September 2018

21 Sep 2018 07:29:12
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 21st September 2018

21 Sep 2018 00:34:45
Evening everyone first post on here but have enjoyed some of the things posted up to now.
I just really wanted to say well done to Steven Gerrard and the Rangers team tonight thought we played underneath our best and still came away with a draw against a decent team rollercoster as usual came away cheekily thinking we could have won but would have taken that before kickoff every day of the week. Just wondered what everyone s thoughts are on Glenn Middleton. Is keeping him on the bench as impact sub best when he could possibly be on to affect the game from the start. Or is it best to bring him on when the games are breaking up and he may have most joy?

21 Sep 2018 02:14:52
Using him the way we are is the best idea, he comes on against tiring legs and stretched defences and pulls them apart, boosting his confidence while not having to worry about holding down a permanent place when he's not quite ready for that (although he soon will be) . Right now if you started him he'd invariably need to be substituted as he tires, and that's tough at his stage of development as it could sow seeds of doubt in his mind. We're doing it right and pretty soon he'll be a regular pick, no need to fret.

23 Sep 2018 14:57:16
I believe Gerrard is nurturing him perfectly with his cameo roles with the first team.
He also believes he has aspects of his game he needs to work on. He’s far from the finished product but is a very exciting prospect.

20 Sep 2018 22:51:33
Just out of curiosity does anyone know why the sponsor on the shirt was black tonight? It looks a lot better with the red sponsor on it shown on the pictures when it was revealed.

21 Sep 2018 00:50:48
matches the #32 in red. looks good man, and so did the result.

20 Sep 2018 22:35:55
I agree with all of the posts regarding tonights result, that team has the balls to be a great team. We need to be more aggressive during the full 90 minutes, without being over the top, Well done Stevie and his backroom team and all the squad, young Middleton is a real find and should start against St Johnstone on Sunday.

20 Sep 2018 22:22:59
Brillaint effort by the bears. if you can’t see the positives in that. You’re blind.

Proving all the doubters wrong. onwards.
