Puncheon on loan for a season could be the perfect replacement for Murphy. Not exactly the same player but a loan would suit us as Murphy has just signed and will be back next year hopefully. A PL fringe winger on loan if not Puncheon Could work for us š.

I think he'll start on the bench but he'll make a great foil for Morelos, coming in from the left and directly running at defenders. He might not score a lot, but he'll make opportunities and space for the wee man.

Middleton needs some spl game time asap to continue his rapid development, no use in him going to another team on loan or being demoted, he will come on leaps and bounds with games and to be fair, he could well keep Murphy out the team.

Great signing today, especially now we are without Murphy for the remainder of the season. He gives us 2 players in one, can start out left or off the bench to fill in for Alfredo. Get a steady CB as cover and as far as I am concerned I will be delighted with our business.
Wallace training hard as usual so we have good quality players starting and covering FB positions. 55 on its way!

Unfortunate news Re Jamie Murphy however i'm sure the 2 more additions Stevie wants has now changed to 3! always thought even with Murphy we were a bit light in terms of creativity in the middle/ wings. Who do you think would be a viable option to bring in along with Lafferty and a defensive cover?
I know a few people want Middleton to be given the chance but let's get real here, the lads not the finished product and wouldn't do the job week in and week out between now and May especially with the extra possibility of European group stages and beyond.

I see Middleton as a development player for the next season or two. Should get bench time and a 10 min run-out in a good few games where we are comfortable but would not like to see too much pressure or responsibility placed on him.
Build his strength, knowledge, confidence and talent gradually and we'll end up with a good player.

Think we could do with more creativity from narrower, Tav and Barasic will provide us plenty width and as long as the machine Coulibaly and Ryan Jack look after the holes they leave then a quality āinside leftā would be perfect, Lafferty I believe can play and be effective anywhere across the top end of the pitch!

I totally agree with you. I was really impressed with him in the pre season games. He loves running at the defence and showed great skill in doing so. We are missing that from our set-up just now. Get the lad some playing time and let's see how he fits in with the new guys.

Jboy we werenāt shafted. my understanding is the board have backed Stevie G fully, heās had pretty much everything heās asked for in terms of upgrading training complex and at Ibrox. Heās been backed financially in playing squad and still has some spending to do in this window and in winter as he sees fit. Hats off to the board for this and we are in much better place than anyone could have expected results wise. however. the board have massively fkd up with the new kit deal and by even affording Cashley the opportunity to challenge the deal and now be part of the deal is shocking! Itās cost the club money, prevented large sum of money from coming in immediately and stopped the fans from buying the new kit. The board made this error, we havenāt been shafted! It should be a board priority to have this rectified ASAP.

We are NOT shafted on strips, the silence is deafening but it's very clear from the info that was available we could be selling strips with SD as the distributor on the same deal we had agreed with JJB. The board are obviously NOT receptive to this I think and I say I think as they haven't even had the common decency to update their fans and effectively their customers on the situation. I find it hard to believe the club cannot update fans and customers who put Ā£25 Million plus in every year but there you go, that's deemed acceptable at board level now at Rangers FC sadly.

Dont know enough about the Waldo situation to criticise or defend him but he was fully involved in training this week. Don't be surprised to see him make his way back into the match day squad soon. He's a professional, will have handled him self impeccably well and Gerrard will have respected that. He is a top professional and those are the characters Gerrard wants around. People who want what's best for RFC. Watch this space?
