Not posting in a while lads but just reading through there and seeing a lot of negativity around our cbs on here, since the game away in Inverness I have thought Hill, Wilson and especially Kiernan have upped there game a great amount against heart Aberdeen and hearts the cbs have been outstanding with the help of hodson on the right of them, trust me won't be seeing a new centre half till the summer to replace senderos.

22 Dec 2016 20:37:39
Kiernan is playing far better with an actual defender at RB, he has far less ground to cover! He's had a few poor games but I've always said our CBs have a much harder job than almost every other CB on the planet with no protection from DM, LB or RB! They were trying to cover half the Ibrox pitch without help at times and not many CBs wouldn't struggle in that situation. Hodson must stay in the team for that alone.

22 Dec 2016 23:00:47
We're covered anyway, I ran into Santa in the co-op and I've asked him for another Joey Garner for cover at the back!

23 Dec 2016 09:25:00
I thought we should have went for the Scotland International, Gordon Greer instead of Senderos last summer.
Think he might be available again this summer having only signed a one year deal with Blackburn.

23 Dec 2016 09:54:37
Kiernan has come onto a game, no doubt. Been quite impressive recently. Hodson has to play at right back. Waghorn mckay garner have also been very impressive. I do think a cm and cb should be priority signings. Windass can easily do krancjar's role.

Ohal for me looks out of place every time he plays, don't think he'll make it at the club. Wes clearly looks more comfortable just kicking the ball. Thank god. If tav finds his shooting boots then he could do damage with his pace in the last third. Huge difference in the team, looking forward to Saturday.

23 Dec 2016 11:06:54
a good silid spine i'd say get a cb a cm and a striker that can score and we are sorted but I do think waggy and garner will start scoring.

23 Dec 2016 11:08:06
Yes I think ohallerans days are numbered aswell as senderos and probably forrester these guys aren't bad players, they just aren't required and we must wheel and deal to improve the squad! I thought forrester was going to be a decent player for us but he doesn't seem to be in warbs plans.

23 Dec 2016 16:21:07
Santa Cruz 79, you'd go for a man of 36 who will probably retire at the end of the season, who makes Clint Hill look like Usain Bolt, is that your level of ambition for us?

24 Dec 2016 08:10:40
If we can't afford souttar then josh meekings would be an option.

22 Dec 2016 09:30:57
Not that I know anything about Jota, but reports that he can put the ball in the back of the net as an attacking midfielder suits me. I think we look a better team with Hodson as right back and 3 wins in a row with him in that position is no coincidence. Tavernier's awful shooting against Hamilton has probably lost him his place in the team when we have a fit midfield to pick from anyway but a goal scoring midfielder added will be the right move by Warburton.

22 Dec 2016 10:19:39
still like tav a lot and think he can get used to the middle of the park and he can shoot he just hasn't found it this season as yet.

22 Dec 2016 12:07:23
Honestly think it's inevitable that he will go back in at RB.

Hodson has been great, just have a feeling he might well get punted out the starting line up again for Tavernier.

No way it should ever happen. Think Tavernier is a fantastic player for Rangers but think most are starting to realise he isn't a RB.

Kind of got fooled myself into thinking. He's a right sided player with squad number 2. He must be a RB.

22 Dec 2016 13:49:07
If hodson is dropped in favour of tavernier then mw has been on the eggnog.

22 Dec 2016 14:22:14
Nevermind the eggnog, he's been on the bucky if Tav goes back in place of Hodson.

22 Dec 2016 15:53:48
Where else is Tavernier going to play then?

Didn't play that well in the midfield against Hamilton. Didn't play well against Hearts at the back.

He was one of, if not our best player last season and for a time this season had significantly improved his defensive qualities.

MW wouldn't dare put him in at RB against Celtic. But against other teams in the league apart from Hearts and Aberdeen, it wouldn't surprise me if Tavernier was in at RB.

22 Dec 2016 16:57:40
Hodson has proved he should be in that position for us and Tav will need to work harder to prove a better choice.

23 Dec 2016 00:28:32
Thorn 76 You think he'd play Hodson against just the best three teams in the league and Tavernier in the rest? That would do a lot for continuity of selection. Tavernier has no improvement left in him, he was all the player he was ever going to be last season and now should be considered a squad player when everyone is fit. Hodson should now be our right back of choice and Rossiter, Windass or Crooks will replace Tav in midfield.

23 Dec 2016 11:11:15
I like tav a lot but thinking about it I think he isn't as technically gifted as forrester and i'd maybe play him in at rm instead of tav.

and I think our whole team trying a lot harder in the last few games has made hodson look like the saviour we needed but in reality if tav was back there in those game I don't hink we would hav been any worse off as the whole team lifted in those games, we can't be giving hodson all the credit as its a team performance out there.

24 Dec 2016 06:56:03
Hudson is a steady type who should play against them as he has done well since coming in. I'm not convinced that Tavernier has what it takes to play right side of midfield but I'd give him a few games to see if he grows into the position a bit like we did with Fernando. He's quick and athletic and we know he can score goals. Would I play him there against them? Yeah why not?
