Major Rebuild job required in the Summer.

Scouting and compiling a list of transfer targets has been going on for a while.

At Least 8 New Players will arrive before next Season.

Players on the list/ scouted

David Goodwillie FW - Will be signed if he is found not guilty or charges are dropped. Just a waiting game otherwise he would have been signed.
Craig Conway LM - Will be signed in the summer regardless of takeover.
Jamie O'Hara CM - He has been scouted and Rangers are hopeful of getting him cheap. Great potential and re-sale value. Dependent on takeover.
Chris Eagles RM - Will be signed if no EPL team attempt to sign him. Takeover Dependent.
Stuart Parnaby RB - Out of contract
Matt Derbyshire FW - 1.5m Good player just is not first choice at Birmingham.
Martin Jiranek CB - Out of Contract
Tom Cleverley CM - Loan for European Experience.

WHAT! The only one out of all of the players listed that could or even would sign is David Goodwillie and that's if he doesn't end up in a cell.

Paddybhoy, you are spot on about Neil Lennon deserving police protection. If the lowlifes are going to make death threats against Neil (or anyone), what else do people expect.

Gotta laugh at the idiot saying it's a waste of taxpayers money though. Do you think that might be why Rangers don't pay theirs. . . in protest?

Rangers need to start looking at bringing younger players through in greater numbers as well as making more astute signings. Forget the £4m+ signings and concentrate on cheaper, better value options. But like I said before, it's only going to get worse for Rangers before it gets better.

To the guy that posted a list of players that your team is "supposed" to signing. Go take a hard look at yourself most of those players will be out of your teams price bracket nevermind wages. and that guy white who is meant to be taking over has already stated he will be running a tight ship.

Running a 'tight ship' could you show us the quote from Craig Whyte that shows he will be doing this? I don't think we will be signing all those players that somebody listed but please come up with some evidence. I don't buy into the £5 million per season as Whyte never said it, it was just media speculation. If you can find me some actual comments from Whyte I'd be happy to hear them.

This is Neil Lennons first full season so you can only go on this, as for your idiotic statement, that Neil Lennon shouldn't get police protection, please explain this you cretin. This mans family have had death threats serious enough for the police to protect his wife and children on match days, and lowlifes like you think this is acceptable, no one in football should have to put up with this, and that is from every side, as for a big sqaud and loads of money, well your manager spent 4mill on jelavic, and 1.5 mill on beattie, quality over quantity. His team cost a lot more than Celtics, he has the second or maybe third biggest sqaud in the league, and his jaded team have played ONE more game than celtic, nobody at celtic is saying the league is won, the opposite in fact, but in the last three old firm games, NEIL LENNON has totally out foxed the so called wily old fox.

Ally McCoist's appointment will be a bad thing for Rangers. McCoist will use the same defensive tactics as Walter Smith and this will win Rangers, the same as this season, FA.

Not sure what the situation is with Kerkar but he seems to play and score regularly for the u-21s so he must be fit by now, seemed like another panic buy on the back of Beattie but surely the guy deserves a game and with the injuries piling up he might just have a part to play. Also hope Weiss and Fleck will have more prominent roles, 2 players with that little bit of guile and creativity we are crying out for at the moment. Greg Wylde is another who can certainly add something on the left side, possibly at left back. He has pace to burn and will really freshen things up. Just my opinion but think we could benefit from moving Papac to CB as i think we need more from our full backs and Papac, for all the "Mr. Reliable" tag fits, i don't think he gives enough in an attacking sense. Just look at the difference Izaguirre has given Celtic and moving Papac in to partner Bougy could hopefully solve our defensive problems. In Walter we still trust!

Now that the worst kept secret in football is finally confirmed and mccoist is our next manager.

rangers should make a show of intent and let mccoist strike a few deals for next season now,

we should look to sign craig conway on a pre-contract. and also another seasons loan for weiss.

and we should do it and have them confirmed within the next few weeks.

Yes, a team run by Neil Lennon, a rookie manager up against the great walter smith, smith with all his years of experience being outwitted at every single turn by a man who is in his first full season as manager. Neil also has a completely new team ( we buy any player. com) and he still bamboozles sir walter (NO SURNAME). We have won nothing yet as Neil keeps reminding everyone, but he really is growing into the job, and all this whilst getting death threats, and having his family protected by the police on match days. NEIL LENNON you are a credit to your club, and i am extremely proud to have you as manager of our proud club!

Neil Lennon is not in Walter Smith's league as a manager. When he has won 10 SPL trophies then compare him. He spent a lot of money in the Summer and has a massive squad to pick from. He should not be given police protection, this is a waste of tax payer money, as is John Reid and his security a waste of tax payers money. He is a disgrace to Celtic, as soon as things get tough the excuses come out. SFA, Refs, conspiracy theories have all been quiet recently. I'll be interested to see if they come back when results go against them.

Heard on Clyde that " Fat Sally " is to take over from "the man with no surname", and "Fat Sally" said it was like taking over the mike after Sinatra. Of course Jim DelaHUNt said, there was also a joke and a laff when "Fat Sally" was around. I know in all sincerity who is going to be laughing, and it won't be the gers fans. Look on any rangers forums, and you will see exactly what the fans think of the court jester.

Against Celtic next week I would go 5-4-1 and before you all start moaning about defensive tactics, there is logic involved.
McGregor
Foster Bougherra Weir Papac Whittaker

Weiss Davis Bartley Diouf

Jelavic

When defending Weir will not be isolated. When attacking the full backs press up into midfield and wingers move up front creating a 3-4-3. Celtics main stregnth is Izaguirre and by putting Weiss on the right he will not be able to go to far out of position or risk leaving Weiss with plenty space to go into. I'm also not convinced that Izaguirre can defend. Bartely can shield then defense and using wing backs creates width to supply Jelavic in the air. What do you reckon, on paper it looks defensive but using Weiss and Diouf is key to this.

To the guy who said this:

If the takeover is completed these are some people I think we should target in summer:
krancjar (maybe not with his current form)
diouf (permanent)
shane long
nicky Maynard
roque Santa Cruz
Shaun wright Phillips
gattuso
weiss (permanent)
Christian benitez
Jose Enrique
Johan elmander

Are you high or just stupid?

Whyte has not only said if he takes over he will only be handing out a 5 million transfer budget but he is worth way less than Murray so even if he wanted to splash the cash he hasnt got it.

Of that list only Diouf and Gattuso are remotely possible but Diouf's wages are way out of Rangers budget at the moment (Rangers are paying around 10% during his loan) and Gattuso has done a Gary Neville and lost all footballing ability.

Celtic are going to win the treble, Rangers had a remote chance with McCulloch in the midfield but Edu, Davis etc can't cope with Kayal and Ledley. Even Rangers playing with an extra man in the midfield on Sunday (4-5-1 vs 4-4-2) they were dominated.

Still surprised at no Weiss on Sunday. Perhaps it's because he is not defensive enough?

And this Kerkar nonsense is worrying. Where is the guy?!

Well said Baz the Bear!
The team need to have their a**es booted for the pathetic display on Sunday.
We have Weiss and Kerkar who are wingers - where were they? Crossing into Jelavic and Lafferty would surely have given us a goal or two.
Does Kerkar even exist? The wages he has got for sweet FA would maybe have got us Commons! !
I love the club and whatever happens I always will, but there are some guys on the team who need to have a word with themselves. They were beaten by a team run by Neil Lennon for gods sake! !
Anyway, the league is far from over and we WILL prevail.
Blue Knows

PS I would happily miss out on every cup and euro game if it gives our jaded squad the chance to beat THEM to the league!

Had a bit of time to calm down after sundays performance and on reflection i think we need stay positive. At the end of the day its not so long since we turned Celtic over as easily as they done to us on sunday and we have to remember we are still in 3 cups and, providing we win our games in hand, we will only be 2 points behind with a game at Ibrox to come after the split. Yes, our squad is not as strong as theres but its still stronger than anything else in the SPL and on our day we are still more than capable of beating Celtic. Both teams will drop points between now and the end of the season so its imperative we keep winning until we get them back at Ibrox. Its not to late but changes are needed. Weir's legs have gone, Edu is simply not good enough to wear the jersey and the rest need a kick up the apse. We also need to start playing with 2 strikers because Jelavic needs a partner. The fans need to get behind the team because the players are feeding off our negativity at the moment, you can almost see there heads go down with every groan from the crowd. They need confidence and support and that's the one way we can influence and motivate this team and you never know, we might still be smiling come May!

do you know the date of the spl old firm at ibrox ?
