Time for me to bow out of this forum. All we hear everyday is McCoist out, it's his fault blah blah blah. He's drawn one game in the league and lost none yet some mindless so called supporters want him out. How can a team play attractive football when they are playing against teams that lump the ball forward all the time, put in barely legal tackles and play 10 men behind the ball. Mccoist deserves his time to get us back to the premiership. He's one of us and deserves our support. To all those so called fans who blame mccoist, take a step back and look at what he's had to overcome: the turmoil, the lying criminals in Whyte, green, Mayer etc. OVER AND OUT

Coop7, the criticism of Ally is solely down to his ability as a manager. Even taking into account the tactics deployed against us, the standard of football we play is terrible.
Also, the management team are devoid of ideas in how to change tactics, when things are going wrong.
No matter who authorised the level of signings at the start of the season, the product on the park is poor and the manager is responsible for this.
The whole structure of the club is diabolical but this site mainly relates to footballing matters. Recently, given all the other problems it has drifted, but from solely a footballing prospective, £1 for £1 the manager is not worth his money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bye bye coop this is about opinions so good luck

Agree0 Disagree0

By "lying criminals" do you mean the same ones that McCoist has backed every single time and been very well paid for doing so, or do you believe he gets £800,000+ for his managerial abilities. None of us wanted to accept it but the facts don't lie McCoist has sold out, he has had ample opportunity to keep us informed but never has, apparently he "is only the team manager", until its time to drum up some more cash for his crooked bosses then its "WATP" etc, it makes me feel sick that Rangers have sunk to this level and I will never forgive McCoist for his part in it because without Super Ally the supporters would have justifiably suspicious of all of the crooks and united against them, how many STs or shares would have been sold if we knew the truth? McCoists backing of these conmen has muddied the waters and divided the fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said coop I read this page daily and it's slowly but surely turning into an anti ally page, his remit is to win the league which he is doing with ease and in with a shout of the SC granted the football is not always great but results is what matter remember the football being played en route to Manchester it wasn't pretty but got results RTID

Agree0 Disagree0

@3

The guys who buy season tickets have backed them too, think about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 No they trusted McCoist when he backed Whyte, Green, Ahmed etc etc, which is exactly my point they could not have done this without McCoist.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fergie please tell me your having a laugh by suggesting we have a chance of the Scottish cup, you must be living in a fantasy world.

Agree0 Disagree0

@fergie and coop if you had read one of my previous posts I pointed out that Jim McIntyre won this very league by 25 points last season he was not on £70K a year never mind a month he also done it with a team that earned less than a year than the current Rangers team earns in a month so let's not get carried away.

The problem with Ally is he has no vision he can't spot talent, he may make a good cheque book manager ie go out and buy the finished article but Rangers do not have the money to do that what we need is a manager like big butcher who can spot a basement bargin and turn him into a half decent player if you gave Ally the money we gave Advocate I think he would have done a good job but those days are gone and will never return.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 so every fan that bought a season ticket only did so because of ally that's bs @7 we're still in the cup so we've got a chance @8 I agree mate but the difference between ally and McIntyre and butcher is they have scouts to find players ally hasn't

@3 and @8 Both very well put. The "anti Ally" view is born of sound sense and sickening disappointment, not hatred.

Agree0 Disagree0

Coop7, I don't know how long you have been supporting Rangers but you must know that some fans pick on one of our own players and he can do no right even when we are winning, in recent time it was Broadfoot but going way back it was Jim Denny or Armour and even Craig Moore got it in our successful times and now its Ally that's getting it, people get off on it. Lochaberbear, cheque book manager we have not bought a player for a season and a half, and who cares about QOTS? Mourinho could only have amassed 2 more points than Ally, now there's a cheque book manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

@9 How about making Durranty the Scout because playing legend though he was what exactly does he do otherwise?
Ally Ian and Kenny could do what all other management teams do and that is attend matches when the Gers aren't playing.
When you are skint you need more from everybody but one of the most obvious savings apart from Stockbridge is ditch Toxic Jack

Agree0 Disagree0

@9 I'm saying that a vote of confidence from McCoist for some strange reason still carries a lot of weight, and that some STs were bought thinking all was ok because Ally says so, a bit like the players we signed in the summer. Rangers have become a shady den of crooks and McCoist has been the front man for all of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Too many people getting carried away here. Our entire wage bill for the squad is roughly half of what Wayne Rooney makes.

JYF quite rightly points out that Mourinho as our manager could only possibly have amassed two more points than Ally has to date.

The posts calling for boycotts and administration cannot possibly come from Rangers fans. We're still in two cups, we're 20 points clear and a lot of the football we're playing is damn good, seeing as 50% are on plastic pitches against opponents playing their own cup finals every time we meet.

I know how Coop7 feels but I'm hoping more fans backing the team and Ally post positive comments here.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ JYF that's not a bad argument M8 I don't agree with you but well argued nonetheless.

As one of the Ally "haters" which I am not I just don't think he should have got the job in the first place. He is our manager now and we should all get behind him but we don't. Why?

My reasons-
"I didn't look at my contract I just signed it so didn't know how much I was on" LIE- UTTER OUT AND OUT LIE!
We went burst because we spent money we didn't have- we are doing it again but Ally thinks its okay to spend more money we don't have on pampering players to play against teams who have most of their players doing a full time job until 5. 00pm of the day of the match.
We have a purpose built state of the art facility which produces zippo.
Having gone burst we needed a manager who could work with youth, develop it and encourage it and give it a chance.
The spectre of Murray's spend for success which Ally learned from Walter and a desire to get to the top league as soon as possible meant ignoring youth and paying for decent but expensive journeymen with no sell on value.
Bill Murray said there is a black hole in Rangers finances and it appears it is still there. Yes Green, Mather and Stockbridge have been profligate particularly with their own payments and bonuses but what if part of the "hole" is Murray Park?
It was built to make us self financing by developing our own youth to stop the need to buy in Expensive mature players with little residual sell on value.
If we are not going to give youth a chance then shut the place down and sell it to a developer.
And please don't tell us there is no good youth players out there- their just not coming to the Gers- partly we ain't looking for them and partly the parents will see that youth doesn't get a chance at Ibrox.

The poor fare is down to our opposition lumping the ball up the pitch and parking the bus?
That's what Walter did in our European games but it didn't stop Barcelona looking good!

The difference in quality between us and the other third tier teams should be about the same as that between Barca and us, I. E We should look good in the majority of our matches- but we don't.

Now as a bluenose who has been going to Ibrox for 50 years I hope to god Ally can make a success of it and produce exciting young teams we all enjoy watching. I also hope we can avoid going into administration but sadly as each day goes by the likely-hood of a successful outcome in both these things diminishes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Coop7 - Chill out. it is only a point of view. I have the point of view that I am some sort of Adonnis but my wife is quick to tell me otherwise. We haven't divorced yet. Stay on the page and enjoy the debate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally's job description get us back to the top a. s. a. p phase 1completedwith room to spare phase 2almost completed 20pts clear enough said

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers don't have a divine right to look good in the majority of our matches, rangers lost every good player they had except lee Wallace, only bought david templeton, who is a good player, the players signed are good signings for free and the leagues were are in. Youth have been given a chance last year and this year, also the boys out on loan too, anyone that thinks we should have 4-5 youth players starting every week and still remain undefeated in the league better calm down on the football manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 there was me thinking that the reason for buying a season ticket was to
go and watch Rangers at all the home games for a discounted price
with the same seat guaranteed every game,
with discounted prices for cup games at Ibrox
and get in the draw for allocation of away tickets,

How stupid was I for all those years when I was an ST holder at Ibrox when I now learn that the real reason for buying one is to back the board,

JYF
Maybe Mourinho would have got us past the mighty Forfar in the league cup?

Mr Wallace, I hope you and the rest of the board get sacked and we get real proper directors in there, but in the meantime you can save rangers a bit of money in the long term by replacing McCoist with Alex McLeish who would cost less, he also is a man with INTEGRITY and has a eye for a player,

what do the bears think about that?

oh and by the way, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't do the stupid thing again, don't buy season tickets don't feed the germ, we will be much better off going into Admin and getting shot of all the cancer that surrounds our club once and for all.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Defo McLeish. should never have got rid of him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip, McLeish was hounded too. Now he is the messiah?

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist will never be sacked by these crooks he is their only salesman, the only one inside Ibrox who is trusted by any of the fans, I wonder how much the players trust him now after he stabbed them in the back? the same as we do I suppose, extremely let down by someone we thought we could trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

What he done to stab them in the back?

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 I was wondering that as well,

i was thinking that maybe he had been a bit too loyal to some of those who have been underperforming this season
