Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

Why is it every time its a little quiet at Rangers and things look a bit brighter the BBC mysteriously uncovers something to try and rock the boat. I don't see a conspiracy I just find it a bit repetitive. The same happened with Green (I wasnt his biggest fan) let's not forget that no links what so ever were found with White but he left the club because of over the top media pressure. I just wish they would let things be and give us all a break.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah no links whatsoever. only numerous tapes released, an admission from Green that he conned Whyte, and of course an investigation paid for by gers into gers takeover that didn't directly ask anything of both characters that the then gers chairman didn't feel went far enough. I would have thought you'd have appreciated the media enlighten the fans of a shocking pay deal at a time when audited accounts and transparency is being denied through silence MB

Agree0 Disagree0

When a company is being run badly this is generally reported I'm afraid. It's not, as you suspect, a witch hunt.

LLSTMF

Agree0 Disagree0

Th emain reason this sort of thing happens is down to our so called "masters" being very very selective in what they bring out into the media.
Sell thousands season tickets let's tell them.
Buy lots players. alert the fans.
New buses. get it out there.
Great harmony between manager and CEO right it in the stars.
But anything to do with money ie how much they are all paid or how much bonuses etc they have taken? or how much we are losing on weekly basis? not an iota. why?
The whole of the media should be doing their job not just the BBC, its called openess. we cried for it last time, while Murray Whyte etc robbed us blind. but now we get a little sample we cry conspiracy. Will we ever learn, looks unlikely. i'm afraid.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 great post mate! But sorry to tell you it's wasted on here mate they just don't listen!!

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2013 13:25:24
Who on here will tell anyone what they get paid? Why is it different for rangers to tell all what they are paid! No one knows how much anyone at rangers are paid except the finance department and the one being paid. Who knows who is leaking all this info I know the media that's, the ones who are PAYING for this info. Hey a grip, I say if the club are bringing in players going abroad to play friendlies then the club has money what's the problem, also a lot of Celtic fans on here at times posting about rangers, our team not theirs they should go and protest about all the hidden debit Celtic are in and start to worry about when this debit is going to come to the forefront, a Celtic season ticket holder told me Celtic ain't in debit then said "so what if lennoxtown has not been paid yet" so what money built that? Rangers through and through in rangers I trust. Ps everyone one on here shouting about David Murray and all the bad things he done the club was found to be innocent of the "crime" he was supposed to have done, yes some things he should not have done bit he done what he felt was best for the club at the tome I think. I say thank you sir david Murray for mostly the 9 in a row you helped to deliver to rangers :)

Agree0 Disagree0

@5/ People like you are the reason Rangers are where they are mate. Thanking Murray is all you need to say. By the way Murray park still has a mortgage on it.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5: so you've conveniently forgotten about the EBTs that were found to be illegal?

Agree0 Disagree0

We went into liquidation!or are you forgetting that part? not over
one mans year, in power but from the years previous under Murray. He
sold us for £1. why? because he had bled us dry and his empire was crumbling. We Rangers were his main route to all the loans he was recieving for all his company's are you totally oblivious to what really happened.? Why did we not know? reason?unfortunatly we didn't ask. the media didn't ask. the board didn't ask. guess what? were again not asking. why not.?. stop the rot now let's all ask and get answers, then we can get back to what were bloody good at winning football games.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2013 19:39:01
EBTs correcte if I'm wrong but did we not be cleared of them and now HMRC are going through court to appeal this, liquidation was down to Mr whyte for not paying £15m in tax etc cva did not go through as HMRC thought they had us by the balls before the BIG tax case went through, also rangers have not been liquidated as yet. We are all rangers now and forever. Ps Murray park has a mortgage so why did the bank not take this back when cva didn't go through then?

Agree0 Disagree0

@9: not all of the EBTs were found to be legal - it's the rest that HMRC is appealing against.

Agree0 Disagree0

N10 rangers were found guilty of nothing the ebt you speak of rangers told the hearing about the ebts we were not found guilty we plead guilty big difrence

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2013 22:59:16
@11: where in post 10 does it say Rangers were found guilty? Even if guilt was admitted, some EBTs were illegal.

Agree0 Disagree0

// Who on here will tell anyone what they get paid? Why is it different for rangers to tell all what they are paid! //

Because Rangers are a PLC? Clue is in the name. I work for an education instititution and like all publicly funded bodies salaries, grades etc are all public knowledge if you can be bothered to look and ask and have no life.

Barcelona fc will appoint gerard martino as their new manager, the Argentine will sign a 3 year contract to replace tito vilanova, I'm a Glasgow rangers season ticket holder and I absolutely love watching Barcelona playing their stunning brand of attacking, total football, I would just like to wish ex barca manager tito vilanova all my very best wishes in his cancer battle, my heart goes out to tito and his family, keep your chin up, I'm sure you can beat it, BIG RAM!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Attacking football? all they do is pass it about silly fan boy

Agree0 Disagree0

OP disagree with your post regarding total football, but totally agree with the sentiment of wishing him the best of luck and hopefully beating this terrible disease!

Agree0 Disagree0

Barca are not that good when a diddy team like Celtic beat them

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 oh dear pmsl
You're a bitter wee troll aren't you lol

Agree0 Disagree0

They are a great team but sadly this current squad is past its best. Has been for over 18 months. Since villa got injured and wasn't replaced. Also there insistence on playing mascherano and/or song at centre back wad a calamity. Puyol way past best leaving only pique at back with any quality. Also I noticed a too heavy reliance on messi in Same period as before midfield had more goal input

Agree0 Disagree0

Villa not replaced? Have they not just signed neymar?

Agree0 Disagree0

@6: the post referred to not replacing Villa when he was injured. Not bow he's gone.

You will have no problem getting a ticket.

I don't know about all other rangers fans but I for one have now big concerns over us being able to sign mohsni, last weekend mccoist & mather said it would be completed in the next 24 / 48 hours, my fellow bears fans were now past the following weekend and still no mohsni signing announced, I'm not Einstein but anyone with half a brain knows there must be big problems with this deal, I've heard through the grapevine the major problem is length of contract and also wages, what do my other fellow rangers supporters think?I for one am beginning to now think this deal ain't happening guys, it's taking far too long, BIG RAM!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That's the two deals that's been going on since the st renewals have been done it look like mathers is doing what whyte did haggling over minor stuff then we lose out

Agree0 Disagree0

They can't exactly unveil him in germany if we were to get him it would be in the next few days maybe tomorrow or thursday not wedensday as there is a friendly i'm sure

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not overly concerned. If we do sign him great but if not we go with who we already have. We won't win a major cup so league is only priority. And surely we have enough quality to win this division. Let's not be held to ransom by greedy agents or average players. It's been our problem since last summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Still think we're waiting on Naismith to move on, ovcourse Moshni will be on Higher wages but Mather did say players have to move on before more come in. It's not hard to understand really.

Larky Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

@1, ever thought Mather may be making sure when we sign someone we make sure we get terms right and do not get ripped off. @3 spot on.

Our transfer embargo ends on september 1st and the window shuts on the 2nd do we have a day to pay for players then ed?

Hamilton lad {The Ed039's Note - This seems like a little bit of a grey area that nobody has come out and said anything about, the transfer embargo ends on midnight on 31st August, and the transfer window closes at 11pm on September 2nd, so you would think technically yes, but as I said nobody has confirmed anything)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really makes no difference there is no money to pay transfer fees. Free agents are all that we can afford and even that is a bit of a gray area. Where is the money coming from for wages?

Agree0 Disagree0

We're not aloud to sign player for 2 transfer window so we can't buy player until the January transfer window it wasn't a year ban

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think its on BBC Alba

I have heard BBC Alba channel is showing it live this Sunday. Hopefully that helps you mate.

Hopefuly in english commentry lol

Craig Mathers is on a basic £500k per year. Lawell is on a basic £350k per year. Any wonder mather's is painting a good picture?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

May I ask where these figures came from please? Just saying it doesn't make it true. The fact that u know what Lawells on makes me think your a Celtic fan making up numbers again. I know I made up some figures earlier but I did say it was a rough guesstimate.

Larky Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's just say anyone who comes
On here saying what players, management
staff etc wages are is only guessing
billy h

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally also makes roughly 60k more a year than Lennon, and ally also makes more than klopp from Dortmund, and he wants the club to survive?

Agree0 Disagree0

1. Think the Craig Mather figure comes from a well known Rangers blogger who acts as a mouthpiece for Charles Green. Probably accurate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lawwell was paid £1million last year according to the Financial Accounts

Agree0 Disagree0

Who the f cares what liewell is on watp

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 4 think and probably being the
key words, no one can say for
certain, on here what peoples
wages are unless they work
in wages dept
billy h

Agree0 Disagree0

When people come on here quoting earnings of people it is exactly the same as those that come on with the line ''from a good source'' ie. it is complete BS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never mind our CEO's salary for the time being. 2 things jump to mind here. First, This story was run as a headline by the BBC written by the intrepid rangers basher Chris McLaughlin, but yet the BBC claim not to have an agenda against us. Secondly given that we appear to be progressing with a decent squad for the challenges of the next 2 years and we were all looking forward to this season with some hope somehow, someone ( from inside ibrox, given the numbers leaked one would suspect, alledgedly)has yet again fed the beeb with some information to "derail" our spirit of optimism. So my theory is that someone still wants us bears kept in a state of flux AND someone within does not want a settled board. where is Brian Stockbridge these days?. thoughts fellow bears?.

Agree0 Disagree0

£150k more than Chuckie was swiping, no good guys just business man taking his wedge!

Agree0 Disagree0

To all the doubters, the figures are being quoted by the BBC as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

F@ck the BBC. The same company that doctored Ally McCoist video to make it look like he was laughing at a sectarian loaded question!

They are a disgrace to broadcasting. I know some key people in the BBC who have told me that the people who call the shots in Scotland are ALL Celtic minded people. And the people I know have NO interest in football period! There is no hiding this. They have an agenda it has been shown in the past and it continued today!

RTID
GDog

Agree0 Disagree0

And those "key people" are perhaps Rangers supporters paranoid about the odd story?

Sorry, of course not. How could it possibly just be Captain Paranoia sitting on your shoulder. Everyone is against you!

But do not worry, bears. Your castle once, but you have rebuilt it. It may crumble again but you will rebuild it! This will continue until the world agrees with you. It's like a sketch from Monty Python's Holy Grail.

LLSTMF

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny how you all go about Cedric's paranoia but have a look at your posts re: BBC! You just cannot make this up lol

Agree0 Disagree0

This came originally from a Rangers blogger who posted it yesterday, supposedly has the inside track on the info. The Board voted the pay rise through and only Easdale objected supposedly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haven't seen any denials coming out of Rangers. Will all come out in the wash when the accounts are published.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2013 20:28:03
@12 You have your finger on the pulse. All those rangers wash ups and wannabes on the sportsound commentary team (Dodds, Patterson, Gordon Smith, Chick Young, etc) outnumbering the token celtic (mcleod) and aberdeen (miller) representatives. So obviously celtic minded I don't know how they get away with it.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 years ago there was no celtic minded agenda, you were half way through your 9 in a row you walked the league almost every year and spent triple or double than every other team in Scotland, you had the media eating out of your hand and at that time jim ( I'm not registering you if you are signing for celtic) farry was running scottish football. along with Murray and mercer sniffling behind him.
We ( hoops fans ) believed there was an agenda against us and we got laughed at for years. It's hard when the shoe is on the other foot isn't it?.

Are they selling tickets for non season ticket holders?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes on sale now

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 14:02:27
Ed two quick questions please one is more important than the other. I renewed my season ticket by telephone at the end of June but still no sign. I don't remember it taking this long last year or previous years- should I panic mildly?
Secondly managers get the sack up and down the U. K by the scores every season yet grossly under performing players keep their jobs. In every other line of employment if you do not perform you are for the chop. Why does it not happen to players apart from the threat of legal actions which doesn't seem to protect the managers? {Ed001's Note - no need to panic, even if it gets lost, you only need the card you paid with to sort it out with the club. I would have thought it has just not been sent out yet though, how many others have got their tickets so far?
I really don't get why footballers are so immune from sacking, they seem to be able to do anything they want and yet very few are dismissed for the kind of actions most of us would be out on the scrapheap if we committed. I understand that, in years past, they needed a lot more protection due to the short working life and low pay. These days, they are highly paid and yet they still get the same protection. Makes no sense, just seems to be that clubs are afraid to upset players, as it might affect their chances of signing other players.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

My son and I go, he has received his, but I do not have mine yet. Both of us live at the same address, so must be in the process of sending them out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Received mine on Saturday mate ordered it 2 weeks ago on Thursday.

Larky Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Players are in a strange position compared to other jobs as they are the main assets of the company

2 way street though, players can be held to their contract as much as they can hold the club to their contract, they can't give 2 weeks notice and join the rivals

Agree0 Disagree0

I asked a question last week bears but no one really answered it

Can we play trialists in the league cup round 1 and round 2 which will be played in august?

JG

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm honestly not sure JG that's why I didn't answer mate, guess we only have till Sunday to find out when we see the team. He will need to have a long hard look at his team as he can only use Cammy Bell Twice.

Larky Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

It seems no one including the Ed know this one JG. I would be interested to know asell.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 + @2

I have noticed that young gallacher has not had any game time in our last three friendlies, kind of strange given that it looks like we will depend on him for all but two of our competitive games in july and august.

Larky - sunday is the ramsden cup, that is another question altogether

If we can play the new guys on the basis of trialists prior to signing then I would keep Bell for the league cup games

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry JG I didn't read your post right mate I thought you were just asking if we could play them in the cups. Feel a bit sorry for Gallacher actually.

Larky

Agree0 Disagree0

Answered this before. NO!

Cup competition follow different set of rules from league, and rules are per cup competition.

Use internet! {The Ed039's Note - Can play as trialists in Ramsdens Cup,not league cup or scottish cup)

Managed to get a ticket for the Albion Rovers game on Sunday online this morning. Can I say I also ended up buying a ricket for Newcastle by mistake and of the 2 games I am more interested in the game on Sunday. I never thought I'd see the day I'd be excited @ seeing Rangers play Albion Rovers but I cannot wait!

Hamburg are signing ex rangers & current Everton striker nickica jelavic jelavic for 6million quid

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Best of luck to the big man could be a great player in Germany. Martinez is off his head if he thinks Kones the better striker.

Larky bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Any idea if we had a sell on clause? If we had 10% that would cover some of the wage bill.
Talking of wage bill, any idea what we spending per year on wages and does season ticket money cover this?

Agree0 Disagree0

#2 lol. I was about to say that as a joke. Jelavic was a Rangers player, NewCo (THE Rangers) have no rights to a sell on fee. But hey, give Everton a call and tell them you're still the same club.

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be owed to the Old Co mate & due to Creditors I would like to think. Sure Rapid Vienna would have something to say about it. There's about 28 full time players the young ones are on about £2000 per week I heard & Ian Black was on £7000 so average it out about 28 x £4500 x 52 won't be a kick in the @rse off £6.5million then there's bonuses let's just hope they were not all on these escalator contracts like Sandaza that went up every promotion. Season Tickets I'm unaware how many have been sold & how many were kids etc so it's pretty hard to tell. Then there's the reserves & youth teams, management staff & Boardroom wages/bonuses running costs, all the staff throughout Ibrox if you knew the figures & done the maths it would be pretty frightening I believe so no STs are not really covering our Wage Bills. They're doing the fly thing though & releasing the away kit 1st to sell more of them because everyone usually likes to go for the home kit. Why these are not released by now mystifies me. Any of my figures are just rough & I'm not trying to be a self proclaimed accountant here but trying to add things up is what's been worrying me. Investment is needed.

Larky Bear (sorry Bay Bear hope this doesn't throw you off the rails again)

Agree0 Disagree0

Not Rangers rumours really and different company would have had sale on clause if any
fauldsrfc

Agree0 Disagree0

We will be entitled to hee haw from the jelavic sale if if happens and to be honest rightly so we don't deserve any of that money if any moneys where due they should be sent to any creditors that where bumped by us that my thoughts

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally and the backroom staff must be taking a nice little earner out the kitty for doing heehaw looking at the standard of football shown last season!

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 Lol, nah Larky I'm comfortable with my decision mate. Can't say I'm not thinking about all that though. Just have to see where the season takes as and keep asking questions.
Nice to see the general consensus is the right one on this post. Any % would go a wee way towards paying creditors.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kone is better all round he defends a lot even though Wigan played 1 striker alone

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should we not get the sell on Claus after all it was the newco that paid the rest of the transfer debt to rapid the team that sold wanyama are getting their cut of his sell on Claus and their a newco

Agree0 Disagree0

@10 Celtic are only giving them the sell on clause because the money will help them financially if we didn't want to we couldn't just being decent to help a club out. Oldco ripped rapid and other clubs off and had to agree to pay them back before entering liquidation.
