Heard from a pal at work today that some Celtic fans have contcted Glasgow city council regarding Rangers Flag donations on Sunday.They reckon it's illegal to ask for donations,unless it's for a charity. - Do you know anything about this Ed? - Stevie-A-Bear {Ed001's Note - I don't sorry.}

Believable3 Unbelievable5

There is a copy of the e-mail on the septic pages

Agree1 Disagree0

How sad can they get? It's becoming a joke how obsessed they are with our predicament. I used to go easy on Celtic fans after OF wins but they have really rubbed our noses in it over the past few months and I won't forget it

J

Agree4 Disagree3

How low can they go. its making me laugh. well i hope there in a sticky situation at some point :D SW

Agree2 Disagree4

I'm a Celtic fan but can't see it being illegal so I'm not sure where they are going with that. I would have thought you could sell anything for anything as long as it's up front what its for. A commercial venture basically. That said, being as its not for charity it will be taxable mind!

Agree5 Disagree0

If this is true then it wouldn't surprise me and really shows how disgusting the celtic fans are

Agree3 Disagree5

How sad are Celtic fans? They could win the league at ibrox on Sunday and all they are interested in are rangers selling flags, get a grip.

Agree4 Disagree4

There is an easy way around that, just make it a fixed price.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree4

It is a fixed price of 2 quid but you can donate more

Agree2 Disagree0

If the cash raised is over 78 grand 20% of it is taxable...i think

Yep , more money to pay the administators. only taking fans for fools

If we need to go a good few years without winning the league ten so be it, it's far better than liquidation, f**k that. If we need to play second fiddle to Celtic then that's what wel need to do. Itl make all the more satisfying when we win it again. I'd much rather still have my team, this rangers to support. Are you just a glory hunter, does it not matter who you are supporting as long as your winning, coz if we are liquidated it won't be rangers you are supporting

Lee

Believable12 Unbelievable7

Correct mate an if we go under i will not support any1 if rangers die i die as they are only 1 rangers fc

TB

Agree6 Disagree5

I disagree, the institution can only die if you let it die, rangers will be rangers no matter what, same stadium, same fans, same history. On paper the facts may be different but the events that happen can never changed! Rangers til I die

J

Agree7 Disagree5

The business may die but the institution cannot die.

GovanFR

Agree5 Disagree1

To be honest, can't really see how we can survive unless daddy war bucks steps in. Noises from admin appear to be that no one has sufficient funding to take us out of admin. could be a chess game though, but BTC is a major fecking anchor and problem. If only we could get baldrick to build a time machine.

Don't agree if this rangers die a die with it would not support another team it would not be my rangers ... Kenny bluenose

It seem to me that the 10 wee SPL
teams are the ones who are kicking
us when we are down. They need
to think again because it is the Old
Firm( who they rip off when we go
to their grounds) and the tv money
generated by celtic and rangers that
keeps them in business. what do you
think?

Believable15 Unbelievable1

Agreed - the old firm are the life blood of this league, I honestly believe its time for a euro league of some sort for the OF teams, sooner they start working in partnership the better.

J

Agree5 Disagree0

The Old 2 need the other 10 as much as the other way, you cant have a league of 2, the old firm are not wanted in England due to their bile, there is no Atlantic league. When the old firm get togther to discuss things its ok but when the other 10 do it it's not on. A league of the spl 10 plus some 1st division teams may not have the money power of the current SPL but it would have a hell of a lot more than a league of 2

Agree0 Disagree5

To the above? BOLLOX! they are hardly any fans as it is without the old at their own stadiums! seriously if the old firm played each other every weekend home and way then 50, thousand + 60, thousand + then to me its a no brainer, the two clubs could easily generate more money in a couple if months than the rest of the spl can do in a year! the old firm only use the donkey clubs for warm ups for the old firm games, don't give the smaller clubs satisfaction ffs, they simply need us more than we need them! simples haw haw cannie believe your post btw

Agree5 Disagree2

The spl would die without the old firm that's why sky pay the big bucks they want 4 old firm games not 4 Dundee utd against Aberdeen. Let's see how the other 10 do when the old firm decide to sell there own games direct to sky and shaft the other 10. Who do u reckon sky would rather play ball with? Old firm and fans keep al the other teams going with there rivalry and away support. Try filling stadium without us.

Agree3 Disagree1

Sky wont want 38 games of shame

Alright fellow bears av got to be honest a really don't think Paul Murrays the rite guy to take us forward sure he's a fan but he doesn't have the clout to back up his promises, unless we can get clarity soon regarding tickets and the big tax case I fear potential would be buyers will say sod it am off.we will I feel get through this but I do feel there are many twists and turns to come yet.I generally don't do predictions, but I have a feeling we may get something on Sunday, whoever pulls on the jersey get behind them pack ibrox let's make some noise and back the lads.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Jeez guys nobody will buy us whilst the BTC hangs over us. FFS get a grip of yourselves, what's worse is the new law where your debt moves with you and surprise surprise it will be in b4 the BTC is decided. We will be liquidated b4 the 6th April, absolutely certain of it, if we don't we will be be skint for years and I would not rule out a Celtic 10 in a row.

Apparently the Souness rumours are
not quite right. He is the fourth bidder
with a group of ex-rangers players
looking to invest in the club, including
Gazza, Laudrup, Van Bronkhurst,
Hately, Rino Gattuso and Jonas Thern.
With himself taking the directors role
and the clout they have all coming in
as a new coaching regime.

Believable1 Unbelievable21

Wish it was true but would that be the same Gazza who was declared bankrupt not so long ago?

Rangers Fighting Fund has finally reached £110,000. Congratulation to us. That means that the 250,000 of us who had a "nice day out" in Manchester have donated the grand total of 44p each. Now that is how you love our club.

Its £110k last week but this trend will not continue. It will soon be £110 total per week.

To all tight-fisted fans. Get yir wallets oot!

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Get your facts right £150,000 and rising!

Agree4 Disagree5

I'm reluctant to put in a lot of money to the RFFF because we simply don't know where the money is going. It could end up with Whyte for all we know. If the Blue Knights buy the club then I will buy quite a lot of shares. I've bought my red and black scarf, and I have put some money into the RFFF but I will not put more in until I know where it is going. Oh and you do realise the total is actually £150,000.

GovanFR

Agree12 Disagree4

Some people might just not be able to afford it, black and red scarfs being sold as well give the fans a break they never put the club in this mess. Away and annoy Martin Bain he is a Rangers fan who has 600000 of our money ring fenced. What ex players are they not fans can't they donate !!

Agree13 Disagree1

It doesn't end up with whyte at all, guys like Walter smith etx decide how much we give to club to keep it alive ffs

J

Agree0 Disagree0

@4, if the administrators need the money to pay off creditors then is will be used for that. Who is Rangers secured creditor? Yes, Whyte.

GovanFR

Agree2 Disagree0

5 - wrong, the club is struggling to pay its operational costs just now, no creditors will be paid yet. If you don't want to help you don't want to help. I am waiting for the chance to invest in shares. I have bought my red n black scarf and will buy a flag, my legends tickets but that's all for now.

J

Agree1 Disagree0

This 250000 figure regarding Manchester, Take away 100000 who have never been to a game but attend all the walks and enjoy alcohol and sectarianism in equal measure, Please don't include them as real fans as some who attended are barely human.
I have made a few donations to the cause, but my real money is waiting on the eventual share issue and incase you didn't notice many people are on the poverty line just now and can't afford to throw money at something which may or may not turn out to be a lost cause, so think before you post mate.
BR

Agree0 Disagree1

@6, J- eventually CVA's will need to be agreed and if that money could make the difference do you really think it won't be used? It could end up with Whyte, notice I said could, I didn't say it was fact but you cannot guarantee it wont. Also if you had read my post above you would see I have helped out in every way possible so far.

Exactly how many of you bears think Celtic's title is tainted? Explain why

Believable12 Unbelievable4

I'm a bear I don't it's not Celtics fault we have been run into the ground by a couple of conmen, even with the 10 points back I think they might have sneaked over the line.

Agree18 Disagree5

I do! Cause they won't keep it clean and we'll have to polish it back up next year...
BB

Agree7 Disagree13

It is tainted, ruined, de-valued, however you want to put it by the mere fact people are talking about it. As soon as the subject of the title being tainted comes up then it automatically is because people are talking about it. It is ruined for Celtic fans because Rangers were docked ten points. People will remember this season as the year Rangers went into administration and not for Celtic winning the league. As I've said before the fact it's being discussed instantly taints the title.

GovanFR

Agree6 Disagree7

Its not take 10 points away at the end of the season and they should still be on top so there Champions we cheated using EBTs i hope this is the only season the fans will suffer for it but u have too give them there title unless we claw points back to within a 10point gap il take a Gin & Bitter Lennon!

Larky Bear

Agree4 Disagree4

Tainted, tarnished is what the image of rfc is at present.minus your 10points doesnt count a jot,as threw away a 15point lead, although cfc had 2games in hand.been some turnaround in any ones eyes, apart from the 4in a row with no dough mob...no dough part still makes me laugh when you look at what both teams spent over last 5years=almost exactly the same, difference is cfc made a loss of 177,000 over the 5year period compared to rfc loss of 17million!!!..should keep the word tainted quiet for a while until enquiries are completed,as might be lots of tainted titles at ibrox..stevo

Agree5 Disagree4

3) Govan FR is correct that admin will overshadow Celtic winning the league however IMO Celtic will deservedly win it. Writing was on the wall yonks ago pre admin, we couldn't strengthen the squad preseason to our the fans satisfaction, the loss of key players and inconsistency on the park all played a part in a dire season. Celtic found that consistency and beat the teams we could not , title will not be tainted in my eyes when won. , unhappy bear

Agree8 Disagree4

Dont let them get to you there 140 year history is ruined because of tainted titles.the thing is they know it so they have to say that celtic title is tainted. the one thing that is true they will remember this year as the worst ever for any football team.and the way rangers football club was run over a number of years the titles that was won on dodgy contracts, and then the pay no one attitude has rocked the football world.they can taint that.....b

Agree8 Disagree3

@5 you keep harping about this report that came out covering the last 5 yrs. Why didn't they make it the last 10 yrs or even just the last 3 seasons. Basically without the Petrov and Mcgeady transfers out (£16m) you would have been that amount in loss. Celtic are third bottom of the profit from transfers, Rangers bottom - no surprise but it is not the £17m you quote it is £13.1m, the real winners are Hibs (£14.8m) and Hearts (£11.1m) profits. Your highest spend were the last 3 seasons - were you chasing something? then it was McGeady son need to sell you to balance the books ta ta. Gie it a rest.

Agree4 Disagree4

There's been alot a doom n gloom in the dressing room, with the January transfer window looming. Jelavic wanted to leave in August. Didnt get his move. The players have known that there jobs wernt as secure as they thought. Even the ones on better deals. Since then, Celtic did go on a good run. That deserves to win the league. If there was no such drama at ibrox, tax case, administration or liquidation. Any Woking person in there right mind, worrying about job loss. Is never gony be able to do a job 100%. Let's be honest. We pumped Celtic at ibrox. If lee wallace's goal was allowed. U might no a sneaked a win. We're on our knees. But uz urny much better. Yet all ur players jobs are safe. Wits that say about ur mob? Hoppers average. Non international, stokes, average non international. Ur top striker thats a international is samaras :L many goals? Before u say it, big laff has came up with big goals in the run in. 3 years in a row. N that's our best we have. The league is won, only a matter a time. Yet uz canny even beat killie, to win the treble uz wur shouting about. I bet uz don't perform against a team that's lost 3 home games in a row!

Will we start Whittaker on Sunday? Lafferty? Ness has been is full training for a few weeks now.
McGregor
Whittaker Goian Bocanegra Papac
Aluko Davis Edu McCulloch Wallace
Lafferty

It's certainly a stronger team than we have seen for a while, hope they all make it. I'd rather not see Wallace at LM but I'm pretty sure he will be.

GovanFR

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Thats our best 11 arguably. All depends on fitness but would hope their busting a gut to be ready. Bit off topic but watched S*y sports today and they were showing footage of 99 game. Even the huddle at the end. Talk about stoking it up for maximum viewers, comparing it to 99 is a bit daft IMO. CheltBlue

Kerkar to start and Aluko up front to run the channels big Lee in with Edu and Davis and Wallace in front of Papac.

Agree0 Disagree1

Lafferty wont play again this season and whittaker wont be fit on time

Rumour is Lafferty as he has two more games before we owe Burnley some dough

Agree1 Disagree5

You dont owe Burnley anything else for Lafferty....that has been confirmed by Burnley themselves.

Agree4 Disagree2

Why do people keep on insisting in putting either wallace or papac in left midfield. How many times have we tried one of them in left midfield and got nothing from that side of the park?? Play one or the other at left back and thats it.

PaulRFC {Ed001's Note - it depends on who is around, lots of us have access to edit it, but I certainly am one of them.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you no your stuff about the MMA world ed? Mainly the UFC, (should prob be asking this on the MMA site lol)?
PaulRFC {Ed001's Note - more martial arts in general than the MMA, I find the UFC a bit too showy for my tastes. Plus, I wonder why such highly trained fighters get close in and don't use elbows constantly. As anyone who has trained in Muay Thai knows, the elbows are probably the most deadly weapon in the human arsenal. So I wonder how much is real, similar to boxing, rather than wrestling type of faking. I just wonder if they hold back to improve the 'show', as no one wants to see a host of 20second bouts one after another!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I'm sorry to say mate, that's outrageous, no way the UFC is to showy, these guys are the best combatants on the planet, you say no elbows , lol, watch my fav guy "shogun" rua he takes mui tai an Greco, to a different level, also "bones" jones has lethal elbows. I see elbows used in the clinches an ground an pound all the time, a short sharp elbow will burst you wide open, look forward to maybe seen you on that page then, we are in for some summer in the UFC,(anyway wrong page for this chat lol)
PaulRFC {Ed001's Note - I will see you there in the future mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

1 quick thing ed, NO holding back ever ed, these guys want their 100k KO of the night bonus, plus their sponsors always offer a carrot of a rapid, brutal, KO
PaulRFC {Ed001's Note - I used to think that too, until a mate of mine competed, he was a totally different animal in that. Though thinking about it, maybe it is more a fear of opening up completely and being caught with a counter against a better opponent?}

Nice to see the other 10 spl
clubs having a go. these clubs would
not survive but for the tv money
generated by the old firm. they also
rip off old firm fans when we visit
their home grounds. lawwell has
really tried to defend the old firm if
people with blue tinted glasses
would read what he said.

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Completely agree he states that the old firm are responsible for 85% not celtic alone. he's right too, the other 10 have written gers off as folded and are trying to hang celtic to gain more power.

DJ

Agree6 Disagree1

I think the voting and money split is outrageous. Time for change as the whole league is slowly dieing. Share it equally and improve Scottish football as a whole. I know some may not agree but the time has come to stop inhibiting the opposition to artificially keep the old firm on top. Im not saying share gate receipts but share tv money equally. CheltBlue

Agree0 Disagree4

So if you worked for a company and generated 85% of the profit of that business, and are then told your dividend will be cut and the other workers of that company, that only produce 15% of the wealth, are demanding a bigger share of the dividend, you'd be miffed as well - would you not? CELTIC have threatened to withdraw all co-operation with Sky over plans to change SPL voting. they are allways complaining about sumthing for the sake of the leauge
the voting system needs changed this would make the leauge better and stronger

Believable0 Unbelievable9

Whether Celtic choose to admit it or not, they need Rangers in this league. The other 10 in the SPL are now trying to dictate the voting rights, as there is still a possibility Rangers still might be liquidated. Would they be doing this if Rangers weren't in administration? I doubt it very much. They have spotted an opportunity and are pushing their luck. Good on Celtic for taking them on, as they are fighting our interests as well.

Agree10 Disagree0

So Celtic don't need Rangers eh
