So if Ally is asked '' would you like to add to your squad?'' would most of yous want him to say no? because its evident we are not good enough and he knows this and obvcourse if he was able to bring in guys like hutchison he would and if we were able to bring these guys in then I would welcome it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Op we all want more good players in but only if we can afford it

Agree0 Disagree0

We all want better players if we can afford them and there has to be a player budget cap. We will need to offload before we recruit and we should only be looking at young players with potential for improvement and not at any ex Rangers in the twilight of their careers.

There was probably a bit of panic 18 months ago and a few players given longer contracts than should have been dished out. let's face it, there are a couple who haven't cracked it and have disappointed. For all we know there might well be a few from Murray Park who could shine if given the chance and better for us long term than signing up SPL players who were given the chance by their team managers.

This excerpt from the Telegraph on 11/01/14 sums up McCoists transfer policy perfectly for me:

Graham Wallace, the new chief executive, met manager Ally McCoist on Tuesday but the latter insists that cost-cutting was not mentioned during a lengthy discussion.
Indeed, McCoist is prepared to argue that he needs to spend more, rather than less, on his squad in order to ensure that he can guide them to the Premiership by the summer of 2015. Such a policy would not only deter hard-nosed institutional investors from providing Rangers, a club effectively working without a credit facility, with much-needed additional revenue, it could also lead to administration.
McCoist seems to be in denial although, like other iconic figures, it may be that he is only told what he wants to hear (“I am big, it’s the venues that got small”).

Agree0 Disagree0

What part sums mccoist up? He wants to improve his squad, what manager doesn't?

Agree0 Disagree0

@4. A manager with the clubs best interest at heart, did you miss the parts about no real investors and leading to administration? McCoist probably could get us back to the SPL with more players (although he bought in plenty this season with no improvement) but at what cost, another dip into administration? another share issue? why should we keep paying for his incompetence? managers with part time players on peanuts for wages are playing better football than Rangers under McCoist. If you are happy with him fair play to you Johncass, I am most definitely not!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I did miss the bit about administration, were is it? When will it happen? No improvement this season? Only been beat ONCE all season, that is an improvement regardless the opposition. What kind of football do you wish to see? Who was the last manager to give you this football you speak of?

Agree0 Disagree0

Johncass your as boring as ally tactics.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sweep since you are avoiding the question regards to the "nearly a bus full" not renewing tickets, we shall take that as you lying? How sad and pathetic you need to come on here and do that

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should I come on here and name people that don't want to renew season books? That's their business certainly not yours.

Just read half an article on the daily records website by tam Cowan. How much guff does this guy talk? He wants semi played over two legs and says even if it's moved to parkhead, rangers would still have an advantage.

{Ed039's Note - He knows nothing and is as funny as a sore arse as well)

Tam cowan know as much about football as I know about brain surgery and that is feck all

I despair when I read some of the comments on here. I'm 47, watched my first game at Ibrox against Kilmarnock in 1973, bought a half season ticket for £30 in 1986 and sat in the same seat at every home game since, 28 years and counting. I've seen good times and bad times, mainly good. Now we're in a bit of a hole and all of a sudden some of our fans think they have the right to pillory everything and anything about the club and those who run it. Yes, the last few years have been a shambles, yes the club has been owned and run by men that don't deserve to be associated with our great club and yes, the manager and players are probably not what we would like to see at the club or good enough to take us back to where we belong and where we should be, BUT, we are, or claim to be, supporters and fans of Glasgow Rangers FC - so for god sake support the club! Rangers til we die.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree with most of what you say except that you then went on to contradict yourself by criticising the players and manager why not just support the team?

Agree0 Disagree0

I am 61 and watshed them through good and bad we are not demeaning everything rangers in all the timei have watched macoist tactics are the worst I can remember and right now the players maybe are not the best but should be good enough for our league position I reckon macoist is a bigger danger to the club than the board is if 10/15%dont rennew tickets on top of having to pay 1.5 million back along with interest on 1 million out of season book money that could leave 3/4million hole in budget on top of what the loss already made is a big big problem me thinks

OP I can only agree with @1. You support rangers but agree its a shambles, we're being run by shysters, and manager and team not good enough. Why the despair at what we say on here - you fit right in!

Agree0 Disagree0

Op if nobody complained then thing would stay the same as now that is a fact cause poeple running our club are only out to make other people more millions they don't know much about football but know lots about making money when companies are down on there luck

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe I didn't put my point across properly - saying the players or manager are not what we would like or not good enough isn't necessarily a criticism, more a point of view - my point was that we've had many world class players and top drawer managers in my time of watching Rangers - and although the current team and manager is not at that high level I will still be there to support the team and always will be - i'm just really fed up with some so called fans and fan groups who seem to revel in having a go at the club in general and are simply posturing to be a lead figure in 'saving' the club.

@5 so you're saying its ok to moan about the players and manager, but not ok to moan about "the club in general"? And its ok to moan a bit but not to take action to try to change things? Sounds like you just have a bad case of nostalgia and wish the glory days were back again. Try and think for a second that we never could afford those glory days, and if we hadnt arrogantly ignored warnings about that years ago we might not have ended up where we are now. that's why people are anxious to take an interest in the boardroom this time round.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok paulineblue72 - you win! I didn't come here for an argument but obviously whatever I say you're going to read something else into it and come up with a different point of view, proves my point really.

EK you're the one that's arguing- with yourself! You came on here saying you despaired at what you read here and telling us to support the team. But then you make exactly the same complaints while implying that you're still a better fan than the rest of us! Did you think we'd all just let you insult us like that without reply? The only point that's been proved here is the size of your self-contradicting big head.
