If only rangers had an Anne Budge who took over a club on the brink & agreed CVA's to all creditors.Outlined a positive businesses model, Employed a young coach & produced a young talented side who have gelled perfectly & are primed ready for the SPL.All high earners where out & cut there cloth to suit, unlike rangers who wasted millions & haven't a squad capable of competing for a top 6 place .Congratulations Hearts & well done Rangers a did say by the law of averages a win was due lol & said 3.2 hibs but bet rangers Manchester United Everton Chelsea & Real Madrid Tonight. Enjoy the winning feeling but I hope Charles of Normandy doesn't put a dampener on things if walks back.!

hearts were no better than rangers in first game of the season they got the rub of the green and another couple of results the confidence flowed through them and things snowballed frm there they played celtic twice with no avail as I say if we had macall at the start of the season we would be in pole place today unfortunetly we had dumb and dumber and even more dumber in charge who thought tactics were a different flavour of tic tacs

Agree5 Disagree7

22 Mar 2015 19:49:23
Well tit, no Anne Budge for us, we got robbed the past few years, but we'll have a new business model soon that will take us back to the top.It will take maybe 4 or 5 years I reckon to fix, be worth the wait. One more thing, mon the Barca!

22 Mar 2015 20:46:57
We were denied a cva under white and because the ended up with nothing really from rangers that's why cva's were agreed for hearts because nobody wanted what happened to rangers to happen to them, credit goes to Gary Locke and Robbie nielson for playing side though, Locke started the youths when they were in spl and nielson has kept it going with a few more experienced players. Congrats to Alexander, Gallagher and Wilson as ex rangers players!

Bigwull

Sorry but Hearts were better on the first day of the season and have been better a, l season. We have been shocking and have played some shocking stuff while they have played good attacking football

Agree5 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 23:12:52
Sorry Bigwull I notice "lucky" Hearts are 26 points ahead with a goal difference of 66 against the Gers good of 23.
Hearts were better from the get go until now- well deserved winners showing us how to do it with an exciting blend of Youth and experience. Came up short against Sellik but so did we - well short!

So much for the power of free speech - was on Rangers rumours Facebook page today and they ripped our captain to pieces pre today's ko and our managers ability due to his inclusion.
I made a comment that it was a cheap shot and we should be supporting our team and guess what - that's me blocked!
If you don't agree with their bile then your gone, what a disgrace

Excellent result v Hibs and 11 players who played for the jersey and fought for every ball and brilliant tactics to nullify any threat that Hibs posed.
Well done to McCall, K Black and the players
and hopefully we can get results in the games to follow.

Just thought ad pop on to see what was getting spouted after the big win today! If use had played like that against celtic the result would have been different!! Hahaha aye good one! This was the game were use didn't have a shot on goal if am not mistaken?? Hearts have won the championship in March!! The same hearts the champs pumped twice this season! Do urself a favour and stick to thinkin about beating sides like Alloa and Livingston! Leave the real football to the big bhoys!

Believable5 Unbelievable7

22 Mar 2015 18:29:20
Pretty much the same thoughts that the 3/4/5, forget, so many, European sides that have pumped you lot are thinking.

Agree4 Disagree1

22 Mar 2015 18:42:45
Need to be in it to get pumped mind! Be a while before use need to worry about that! Rather get beat from inter than Alloa and queen of South haha! Mind u if super mcall had been in charge at hampden then it would have different! Haha! A thought this was a football forum not a comedy one!

22 Mar 2015 18:52:33
How can you even mention cup games. 2 failed attempts at winning the RAMSDEN CUP & the Prestigious Petrofac Training Cup!!!!!!!!!!

Agree4 Disagree2

22 Mar 2015 18:54:14
Well if it was comedy forum your post would be rejected for being minging. shouldn't you be worrying about winning your own one horse league, taking your time, aren't you? And it wasn't just Inter that beat you was it?. if only you'd had a Scottish referee, eh?

Agree1 Disagree2

22 Mar 2015 19:04:29
We know where we are mate, and we'll get better. you think Celtic are better than they were last season?. and you'll lose Denayer and Van Djik in summer. when we were winning everything you lot dismissed the Cup and League cup as diddy cups. well, that's all you'll have.

Agree1 Disagree2

22 Mar 2015 19:44:10
We could have played without vvd denayer and big Gordon against use! Haha! And don't u be worryin how many times we get put out the champions league! We'll get another crack at it next year while use are havin another shot at tryin to get out the 2nd tier of scottish football!! Lol.seen on sly sports there a clip of magic millers goal! Willie true blue Collum up to his usual in your games a see! Clear foul on the hibs boy! Mind u its just celtic that benefit from dodgy refs int it haha!

Dave 67

The real big boys are playing tonight in the camp nou. Don't embarrass yourself by trying to claim your team are big. Remember you got pumped from Legia and Maribor and couldn't even qualify for the big boys tournament. So your clearly not as good as u see, to think

Agree1 Disagree1

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Mar 2015 10:02:00
Least you're honest about refs favouring you, Scottish ones anyway. that's why you get pumped in Europe. and the Champions of Wales and Ireland will get a "crack" at the Big one next season as well, and get as far as you lot, probably.

22 Mar 2015 18:02:20
if players can keep putting in performances like this there may not to be such a huge cull at end of season if kenny miller can kick on I would keep him for another year bt boyd must go along with maculloch moshni foster simosen aird smith and one or two others if black would accept big pay cut he would be good benchman to close games down and if kyle hutton does not show some consistency he maybe should go to

Believable1 Unbelievable3

22 Mar 2015 21:56:26
You can't be serious about Black staying he offers nothing and has been an embarrassment since the day he signed. I wouldn't keep him on minimum wage

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 22:02:01
Great result today and no doubt McCall will know who he wants to keep but we have 8 games remaining and everyone is a cup final to us.
McCulloch has stuck with us and along with the other 10 players today- they were immense.
On current selection by McCall- Foster, Simonsen, Smith, and Boyd could possibly leave but let's wait and see at the end of the season.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 17:11:48
I think everyone will agree the football wasn't great today but must say the formation, the attitude and the commitment was first class, good to see them fighting and scrapping for everything and first time in a while where you couldn't fault 1 player. bit worried at start of match when I seen our back 3 but they never really gave hibs a sniff but personally thought McGregor and Wallace were excellent. I know it's only 1 victory but definitely something to build on. it will take time but hopefully now we're on the road to recovery. Well done Stuart McCall. WATP

Believable7 Unbelievable1

22 Mar 2015 18:07:52
Agreed. Also quite liked the new Dean Shields and young Murdoch in midfield. We need to work on the set pieces though as both Shields and Law were wasteful- but good result.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 18:10:32
Aye well done everybody. It was clear that the team was playing for the manager. Let's not get carried away but much better. If we can show the same attitude and commitment in the remaining games that'll do for me. What a difference looking in the dugout and not seeing a face like a rabbit in the headlights!

Agree3 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 18:13:54
Where has that performance been from Wallace all season he was immense. What a difference it would make if we could a similar type of player at right back. Credit where credit is due though more commitment, better shape and some good individual performances

Agree3 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 18:59:38
The whole team was immense so hopefully we can attain the same level of performance in the remaining fixtures

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 19:40:37
wallace was different player but 3 at the back it gave him and macgregor all the room in the world to get up the park it put u in mind of walters flood the midfield tactics against celtic more of the same will do for me

23 Mar 2015 10:13:37

BIGWULL was a good result today but to suggest
if we played like that against Celtic the result would have been different I just couldn't see that happening they are in a league
of there own right now and are flying we are miles of challenging them our players have this in there hand so I hope they do not start mouthing off in the press they need keep there feet on the ground and put performances on like this every week then we will give them all the credit they deserve I liked the formation McCall played today would
be interesting to see if it worked though if opposition strikers where more mobile good result and enjoyed the game today for once one game at a time though as we have had to many disappointments

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 15:14:18
Industrious today. That was a bit more like it, not pretty, but pretty effective. Kenny Miller was even back in his own half at times, doubt Boydy would have done that. Positive today, hopefully they can build on it.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

22 Mar 2015 15:09:01
A special mention to our manager stuart mccall who got his tactics spot on against hibs today with playing the 3 at the back which allowed our 2 full backs darren mcgregor & lee wallace to go and play higher up the park and at the same time nullify the 2 hibs full backs and thus stopping hibs playing in the midfield, lee wallace was exceptional today I thought, everyone who knows anything about football knows lee wallace is a very good left back and will be the next captain of the famous glasgow rangers, watp

Believable5 Unbelievable1

22 Mar 2015 15:20:08
Agree, but we have a few good footballers who were not showing it, and good to see shiels put in another shift with even Moshni looking secure. Tbh if our crossing had been better, could have been more.

Agree3 Disagree1

22 Mar 2015 18:17:17
If only we had a proper right back. The team played much better more disciplined and better organised. Some good individual performances too Miller, Shiels and Wallace all put in a shift

22 Mar 2015 19:55:19
McGregor was immense.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 20:48:34
Wallace should not be next captain, not vocal enough, not hard enough, does not lead by example, when the chips are down he won't fight and claw for a win!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 21:59:27
Copland1

McGregor isn't a right back and was nowhere near as effective as Wallace. Full back has become such a specialised position and u can't get away with playing centre halves there

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 23:38:30
Ceexxx, if you don't think that lee wallace is without a shadow of a doubt the next glasgow rangers captain in the making then I really don't know what your seeing my friend, who do you think the next rangers captain should be?Lee wallace has everything in my opinion to be our next captain, he's certainly hard & passionate enough and is very loyal to the rangers cause and does lead by example and has done for the last 3 years, except for a loss of form a bit lately he's been our best player consistently!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 14:59:38
Amazing heart felt gesture from lee Wallace at the end he approached the away support and guestured he wouldn't sign for anyone else then kissed the crest and thumped his chest appeared heartfelt and genuine and looking back he was one of the 1st to tupe over from oldco, its that kind of passion for wearing the Jersey that we need

Believable10 Unbelievable4

22 Mar 2015 20:51:57
Here, here bornblue lee wallace has stuck by us and could've signed for several english clubs before now, he is totally committed to the cause in completing the journey in taking rangers back to the top and is without question the next glasgow rangers captain, I honestly think wallace will stay with rangers for the rest of his career, he genuinely loves rangers and has a strong bond with all us 'gers supporters

Its time to stop knocking them n start supporting guys. I know how bad the players have been and the majority won't be there next season but they have improved no end today maybe better coaching and tactics will get us into the SPL and we can build on things for next season. We nneed to keep doing our bit n hope the players do theirs.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 15:39:55
Think today validates a lot of the flack they got because that 's the best they've played for ages. Nobody doubted we had good players, but rotten managers or not, they have to take responsibility for their part in our recent slump. effort alone today was great.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 16:08:46
His first few touches and your on this slating him? He said what he says then backed his self up try letting the game flow before getting on persons backs!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 17:15:01
If you construe the language used in my post as a "slating", then you've lead a quiet life mate. firstly, he shouldn't have gone public with what he said, last thing we needed was another ramble. and secondly, he should have done his talking on the park, which he did, most of them did, and it's about time as well.and I picked out early on that the formation was working. and to be honest, if his crossing and Law's set pieces had been better we'd have humped them. great win, shape, work ethic. but long time coming.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 22:25:41

22 Mar 2015 11:23:42
Like all true Bears I'm hoping today sees the start of something good under McCall. To take a positive view, we're unbeaten in 6 games so clearly the problem is that we've scored only 7 and conceded 6 in these games. If we'd won the league games instead of drawing we'd have 10 points more than now. Winning breeds confidence. I can't believe that all of the players have suddenly become bad players. Law, Wallace, Miller, Shiels even Black. Big, big blunder bringing in these overpaid players and abandoning youth but not too late for McCall to make good. But we must give the kids a chance NOW. A win today might start a run to at least finish 2nd and ensure a play-off place.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

22 Mar 2015 12:29:22
I am staggered that you try and draw a positive from being unbeaten in 6 games. Cowdenbeath, Alloa, Livingston and QOS being some of the opposition in that run. Your post just highlights how far we have fallen as a club. As for the players you mention they have been disgraceful and have been stealing money from the club for too long. We all moan about the Whyte's and Green's and other people who have taken money out of the club for no return but to me the players have been the biggest offenders for milking the club dry. It's now that bad that they don't even pretend to try or care anymore

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 07:24:44
Good luck to the boys today, looking forward to it. But we must be realistic. Hearts and Hibs just came down into the Championship, while we've crawling our way back, although I really thought we'd have given a better account of ourselves this year, given the players and the salaries these guys are on, they have all under achieved. If we did get back to the big league, we could be embarrassed by some of the smaller teams in the league, that said I think we could stay in the league and then build and start to build a team that could challenge the bigger teams. Or another season in the championship, and build from there, with the right Manager. I really think we need a team with a spine of experience, and then surround these guys with young legs, pressing teams high up the park and then able to break at speed.
Any thoughts fellow Bears??

Believable1 Unbelievable1

22 Mar 2015 08:14:48
For me we need to change our shape, 442 is far too flat and opposition teams seem to have the run on us every game, sign some players who actually want to be here and are smart enough to actually pick a pass

Agree0 Disagree2

22 Mar 2015 11:10:17
We need to get back up, I'd rather finish 4/5/6th in Premier than win Championship. team have a chance today to start to pay fans back for this season's rubbish. previous 3 years will take as long to erase from our psyche. but I feel we need to go up this year. playing at a better tempo, maybe if one of these early chances we always seem to get, it'll be different. but having been bullish, I despair when I see McCulloch's name on team sheet. hope he trips over his tripod during warm-up.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 12:33:21
Polar Bear

Good post mate and spot on. No point going into the top league having to try and rebuild. Your probably talking about getting rid of 15-16 players and replacing them in the close season. There isn't going to be any money to spend so we will have to rely on free transfers. The other lot will no doubt strengthen and I see no point in going up just to be cannon fodder for them. Wonder how Lani would feel watching them skelp us 4 times next season and watching teams like Aberdeen and Dundee Utd coming to ibrox and dismantling us? Another year in the championship with a good manager and some hungry young players and I think we could start to build a team to be proud of

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 12:45:07
Already had that feeling mate, were you around in the 80's when what you outlined already happened?. and you wouldn't have taken a relegation to get away from it, would you?. and you presupposing that we manage to build this kids'based team in a year. what if they get humped after going up.?what then? No, we are were we are, and we need to go up. fallacy that another season in Championship would be good for us. and tbh, we simply haven't got young players of Hearts calibre.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 07:05:46

Stuart McCall has doused hopes of any drastic use of youth by dismissing the idea of using Youngers he says
I can't flood the team with youngsters
So in other words Captain Undroppable's run to continue whilst our youth potential around 5 of them (Gasparotto, Sinnamon, Murdoch, Walsh, and Gallagher) may sit it out beginning to sound like the same old same old, good luck today Rangers anyway!
