Not keen on McInnes, Mcliesh, or Wright etc, don't think they represent much of a step forward at all. But the longer the decision to appoint the new manager takes, the more likely the rumours about waiting till after the AGM seem probable. If however, we end up with Mcliesh after the AGM I'm guessing we can take it as read we are screwed.
He and Alex Rae have been touting him for the job for the last 6 months!
There are no managers who do not represent a risk, but there are, in my opinion a few who virtually guarantee minimal progress.

@thinkaboutit what Rangers require is a good football manager, an intelligent man with the character and stature required to get the best out his players (knowledge of being one of the people is not needed. )

i agree mate but it would never be the aussie boy. stepped down due to pressure, wouldn't know what hit him if he came here! won 50% of his games but considering their group had teams like solomon islands that they used to put 10 goals past, that's hardly ground breaking.

I would take him in a heart beat. Got Swansea playing lovely football made some shrewd singings and won them a cup. Understands British football and I'm sure knows all about Rangers.
