SICK Of the Ally basher's giving it another young one away and will prob turn out brilliant.
Hegarty
Perry
Little
all not good enough.

The rest except Mcleod are unproven that's Fact!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - MacLeod is unproven as well but I have always maintained he is a very good young player)

Look the youth may not be good enough, but I reckon still on par with a few players we have.

Even if the youth wasn't any better they are still cheaper ie wages. That is what I want. Why do we need to have the 2nd biggest wage bill.
Ally has no attributes needed to manage a club. And this wait another year and ally will come good is what's killing our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

There would be no ally bashing if he would just go let someone who can manage take over.

Agree0 Disagree0

Op your poster name is similar to your post. -----Ridiculous.

Agree0 Disagree0

They won't get better if they are not challenged by playing at a higher level. Do you think Dundee United's youngsters would be good enough if they were only getting to play in the lower age group games? Maybe that is why Charlie Telfer is reportedly so keen to make the move and for less money. He knows he will be challenged and his game will improve as a result

Agree0 Disagree0

Woopdiwhatever, how do you know they are not good enough? On what do you base your opinion as they have not been given the chance to find out if they can step up. The perfect opportunity was staring ally in the face but his ego was bigger and the undefeated record may have been in jeopardy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Blue velvet it was purely an ego trip as celtic were on unbeaten run thus ally thinking we will do better eventually they lost a game and from then on the ago trip started

Take a look at the standard of games today in the Scottish leagues to the Standard about 10- 15 years ago, I think it was better then, OK we had better players back then, but that means we have learned nothing from the better players when they were playing here, in fact it's got a lot worse, how many games do you watch and they can't even do the basics like control, pass and move to name a few.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Of course players were better 10-15 years ago! Banks were handing out overdrafts to clubs who couldn't afford it to bring in so called better players instead of setting up better equipped training facility's. It's only now, 10-15 years later, that clubs are sorting out their finances and are beginning to bring through homegrown/youth talent. It will take time but eventually it will get better!

Agree0 Disagree0

That being the case Martin how come the national team has it's highest ranking for years? The U17's just got to the Euro's semi finals. Have most countries in the world declined during that time too?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaz, The senior squad is mainly made up of seasoned professionals, probably the majority from south of the border. Credit must go to Gordon Strachan for introducing teamwork back into our national team.
Re the youth team, we have always had the basis, but rarely produce the goods. Potential needs nurtured and unfortunately we don't have either the coaches, the system, or the ''man'' management skills and sometimes the mentality to progress is lacking in the players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy this was in essence my reply to Martin's Scottish football is done claim where 6 different teams have won the last 6 domestic cups, big crowds for both cup finals with neither of the old firm involved. Celtic made the last 16 of the CL only 2 seasons ago. I don't think things can be that bad with all that and the top team and one of the youngest levels both doing well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Gaz, I agree, but the standard of football in the domestic game is poor and money is being made both, on and off the pitch, by offering a rubbish product. I look at the wages of some of our players and wonder why. Second rate players are getting a nice standard of living, for what?

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to agree with you billyb

Agree0 Disagree0

It's probably true of football all over Billy, Derby 14 or so corners today, every one of them poor. let's face it Billy if there is one club over-paying for the product on the field currently, we are on their banter page right now. :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - No, only rumours but nothing official released. Rumours are about 10,000)

ED039 any idea how many have put money into kings scheme?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - no, I find it strange they havent released an update, makes me think not many)

@ reality bites never been a glory hunter and never will be not once have I mentioned trophys or titles we have won the point I made was I have sat or stood through the bad times as well as the good since 1965 I still think ally will prove to be an excellent coach either with us or elsewhere as I posted earlier my last word on the matter, as u always resort to name calling as u have with my posts and other peoples, its only my opinion but u don't seem to like other people to have one.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What makes you think he will make a top coach? have you been in hibernation for the last 3 years? do you watch any games? or are you just blind to the fact that he will never be a manager and wouldn't get a job in the highland league! posts like this show who the real fans are and who the couch fans are

Agree0 Disagree0

Look the taunting is my attempt to get the answer out of you. And you still haven't answered why ally will come good and what he has done to warrant his trust.

JUST ANSWER WHY?.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 I've been to most games this season, I'm no glory hunter, and I still enjoy going to the games to support my team. When we went into the third tier I never for one moment thought that the football was going to be anything to shout about and to be fair that's what I got, there seems to be a lot of purists among us now who don't care if we get back to the top just as long as we play silky football, well I'm not one of those, I just want to get back then worry about performances.

Agree0 Disagree0

JYF, it is not simply about silky football.
It identifying a style of football a philosophy and getting everyone at the club to buy into the vision, don't you think our predicament presented us with an opportunity to put in place something that could have been developed as we started the climb back.
What we have had is horrible football that is difficult to watch, why do we see other teams with far fewer resources trying to play with a bit of panache. Why should we settle for anything less.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even when ally was in charge of cup games under walter smith how many times did walter smith have to come down from stand to change team formation then tea won ally must know without big money transfers he has not got it as manager

Agree0 Disagree0

The sad fact is ally is wrong side of 50 and should have some pedigree of coaching behind him we all can't live in past he pants as coach maybe he should do stand up at half time that's all he's good for

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 you watched teams trying to play with a bit of panache against us? I missed those games. In most league games if not all we had between 60-70% of the game that was because teams shut up shop and when they didn't (Airdrie) we murdered them. I'm the same as the next man mate in that I want to watch fast free flowing football but I'm willing to wait until we are back at the top before I DEMAND it and we are on course to achieve this after one more season of (a lot less than the previous two seasons)pain.

Agree0 Disagree0

JYF, Do you really believe Ally is a good manager who is simply waiting to get back to the SPL to show us, do me a favour. He has done nothing that suggests he is anything other than a journeyman manager, awful style of play, no talent spotting, coaching ability none. I loved Ally as a player but he is simply not good enough for the job he can go and take McDowall and Durrant with him. I find it unbelievable that you expect Rangers fans just to roll up pay their money and accept dross on the possibility that it will be better when we get to the SPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 one of us is obviously missing the point here, I don't expect anyone to just roll up and pay money but It's about keeping the club afloat. Rangers have no money and no credit facility so the only source of income is the fans through season ticket and merch sales. Two years ago we were hoping to be in the championship at this stage and here we are, arriving after going a season undefeated. We are not the only team in world football where the fans disagree on their manager but probably the only one where fans are calling for his head after getting promotion in an unbeaten season.

Agree0 Disagree0

JYF, if the product on the park is not worth going to see we will simply see fans drift away, it is already happening that is my concern, we have been playing in pub leagues for the last two seasons surely whatever style of football we chose to play would have resulted in promotions. Ally has chosen a hard to watch style and that is the crux of the matter.
