So...what happened to Celtic getting pumped 4/5/6/7-0?!

Sally, take note!

Believable23 Unbelievable19

Nothing, they lost 2-1 and spent the majority of the game behind the ball, with Barcelona controlling the majority of the possession (Approx 75-25%). Whether you lose 7-0 or 2-1, it's still a loss although the latter scoreline looks better.

Agree21 Disagree14

What has tonight got do with ally? Was he there? No. Has he made a derogatory comment? Even after nearly getting out the nou camp with a point you have a pop at the greatest goalscorer in rangers history. Says it all.

Agree20 Disagree13

@ 1 and 2...All week we've heard that the score was going to be 4/5/6 or more. That's what OP is getting at.We were fed up listening to you all and where were the 'good wishes' tonight.Absent..

Agree15 Disagree10

Ally wasnt great he was just lucky .... ask souness

Agree15 Disagree20

@1; barca always have 70% odd no matter who they play

Agree13 Disagree11

Great performance by Forster. Best GK Scotland has seen since Goram. nice to see The Rangers fans showing their appreciation of the class players in the Hoops team.

Agree8 Disagree17

@5. Beg to differ, when they play Real Madrid it is a closer affair.

Agree7 Disagree1

@3. Ditto, we've been preached by you lot since February about EBTs and we're fed up with it. I don't like Celtic - nothing personal, you are my teams arch enemy so i won't be hypocritical and smarmy by offering you good luck wishes when i really don't mean it. After we lost to Stirling, alot of 'tic fans gave us dogs abuse (i would have done the same to you if the boot was on the other foot) so don't expect anything different after tonight's result. Your goalkeeper kept the result respectable at 2-1, but you still lost and collected no points irrespective of the scoreline.

Agree9 Disagree3

3) what are you on about, Ally never said you would get pumped. Why picking on him, if you have to pick on anybody pick on us fans, because we thought you would get pumped. But the way you lost was the best thing possible, a real sickener. As for best wishes, as they say I support two teams, Rangers and whoever Celtic are playing.
Good wishes, hope you get three more losses in the last minute.

Agree7 Disagree5

Good wishes? You want good wishes? With the sort of bile and hatred your lot have shown rangers fans during this last 8 months. Hope your side get stuffed every match. League cup Europe. Don't matter. And I hope its painful with it. Good wishes you joker.

Agree11 Disagree8

Maybe the ghosts of 1972 scored the winner lol pay back time for chuckie ,his face was a picture doug t.s.o

Agree8 Disagree7

Eh you lost, and I'm PMSL, made my day.

@ 12: pissin yerself laughing at Celtic losing away to the best team on the planet?

Think how we feel when you lost to stirling!

G93

Agree18 Disagree3

Well done Celtic. I am a rangers fan of over fifty years, I have been a Rangers fan for over fifty years and can't believe the bile being written by both sets of fans. Scottish football needs to be backed by us all when in europe no matter our club allegence so we can get some respect back into our game, lost due mainly to our old board. It was said on here the Rangers to a lot of stick and bile from Celtic minded guys when we got beat by Stirling the lowest club in the SFL . I recall it was our own fans who were on with the bile against Coisty , Durrant and MacDowell. Don't blame others. We are a team who are in the third division through no fault of our fans or anybody for that fact, apart from the poeple who ran the club. Let's concentrate on supporting and getting our club back to the top, forget all this hatred ( not talking about keen rivalry )
We will get there soon hopefully with our heads held high. With some luck and good management we will be up there challenging
Whoever.
Bobby

Agree12 Disagree5

Great post bobby, pity thousands fans dont see it this way..stevo

Agree6 Disagree4

@4. There were a lot of Celtic fans giving us pelters on here in the aftermath of the Stirling game, not just our fans who were unhappy with the teams performance and result. Rightly so the management were criticised by our fans, that goes without saying, beaten by the bottom team in SFL3 does not bode well. I also have Supported Rangers for over 40 years and find it difficult to wish anything but unmitigated disaster (on the field of play only and result wise, of course) to anyone who support Celtic and hope they get stuffed everytime. I'm a Rangers supporter and will not partake in 'good wishes' for my ultimate footballing nemesis whether or not it is dressed up as 'for the benefit of Scottish football' pap.

Hate to say it but well done to Celtic, they wer fantastic I thought they defended Immensely!ally mc coist take note of ginger nuts tactics! How they can attack barca yet we defend against our teams! Not right!

Believable26 Unbelievable18

Agree they didn't do badly.

Backed Barca though one minute into injury time & got 6/1!

BARNEY BEAR

Agree9 Disagree3

Fantastic?? - No. They did really well defending the game until extra time. Unlucky bhoys, nearly a very good result, better luck next time at Parkhead.

Agree20 Disagree13

Our goalkeeper was magnificent and overall barca knew theyd been in a game. their celebrations at the winning goal said it all. neil lennon has brought this group of players on so quickly i can hardly believe it. we are going to struggle to keep him as eyes are turning towards him. that was a fantastic team performace against the best there has ever been. nobody is too upset, but a point would have been fantastic. to be honest im more upset that benfica didnt get a draw and put us a little more ahead of the others. it wasnt a negative display at all, celtic took every opportunity to attack that they could. when barcelona have the ball you would be insane not to get behind it and they have the ball a lot no matter who they play. what a game in prospect in 2 weeks and then the fight begins, but i think this team can beat spartak and benfica and i know they believe it themselves.
hail hail.

Agree18 Disagree14

This site is full of punters who win money all the time, can't believe u backed that barney bear.

Agree6 Disagree3

Celtic attack Barcelona?? Your delusion knows no bounds. They scored a lucky goal as Barca are unable to defend set pieces. Otherwise it was like watching a cat play with a mouse.

Did Septic even have a shot on target last night?

Agree2 Disagree5

How is it a lucky goal, we earned the free kick, we crossed it in, samaras headed it and it hit mascherano (spelling) and went it. If any other team had done that would you have said it was lucky, no

Agree2 Disagree1

@11. Yes, as the ball could have been deflected into the keepers arms, over the bar, round the post or as in your lucky goal, it went in.

Agree2 Disagree2

Hi briigs sure its not pat lally your thinking of ,never seen him move so quick off his seat in main stand at parkheid when gers beat aberdeen in cup final there ,he obviously didint like seeing gers presented with cup lol doug t.s.o

What a shame! What a pity! So sick! So Close! Nearly there! Heartbroken Celts! We were robbed of a glorious draw! We done Scottish football good! We will never walk alone! Ten (sometimes eleven) behind the ball and an own goal and we still couldn't get an undeserved draw. Get over it! Geo the Ger

Believable23 Unbelievable19

And you play so well in 3rd Div .....take note

Agree15 Disagree6

@ Geo the Ger. Thanks for those kind words. I agree with everything you say except the " undeserved draw " bit. I am sure Neil and the magnificent Celtic players will be over "it "before we play Barca at Parkhead inNovember. Good luck against Clyde on Saturday!
Liah Smit

Agree13 Disagree7

Good luck against clyde. James D

Agree11 Disagree4

Let's be honest they have got much more going on than us! I thought they done Scotland proud tonight!

Agree20 Disagree13

Get over it i dont see anyone moaning apart from u what is it cant u handle a scottish team going to barca and having a good game

Agree14 Disagree9

Bitter and twisted, that's all you are. Celtic got beat, held up well against the best team in the world, something we're reminded of on a daily basis. "You're gonna get pumped they say" but we didn't. 2-1 away at the Nou Camp is an admirable score. I also notice that Barcelona is in one piece after Celtic getting beat. Not like Manchester. Anyway, the European adventure continues with 2 away games out of the way. 4 points in the bag and second in the table. Crowd of 75000 there aswell. That must make the Barca fans the world record most loyal and passionate world record attendance setting record breaking world's best fans in the WORLD!! haha. Well done Celtic, even if you lost. Eating dinner at the 'top table' sure tastes nice unlike munching cold chips and cheese off the top of a wheelie bin in Div 3. Hail Hail. GBNL.

Agree13 Disagree10

As a real Rangers fan this stoater doesnt represent the majority of fans. Bed time for you Geo, all you do is try and cause problems on here. I'd suggest we just ignore this idiot from now on, I would rather read Timalloy than this cretin.

Agree18 Disagree11

Geo the Ger. You are a nasty throwback. Play your football where it belongs, dont annoy true scots folk with your person moaning.

Agree18 Disagree7

Doesn't really matter if its 2-1 or 10-1 its no points.

Agree17 Disagree11

I have got to agree and congratulate sceptic for a fantastic performance tonight. Anyone saying otherwise is an idiot or a bigot.

Agree13 Disagree14

@2 The Jungle Jims as you call them are mighty proud to have gone to Nu Camp and done so well tonight. They have had the time of their lives.Welcomed by the city as their reputation is so good.Maybe others are 'sick' because they can't join in these BIG games. There were no expectations on them tonight but they did Scotland proud ----and their fans. All Jungle Jims readily invited to mix with the Barca fans, for the new Rangers mob ask your dads about 1972, another reason that your old club is not missed.

Agree10 Disagree5

@7. I'm amazed you managed to type anything whilst chewing your knuckles. We will find out through foreign media sources (certainly not the scottish mhedia) whether your fans have behaved themselves in Barcelona, if they have then fair play to them. Losing 2-1 at the Nou Camp is admirable, but it's still a loss at the end of the day, no matter the scoreline. Everybody's fans are the greatest in the world according to themselves, well they are not going to admit otherwise. Your fans are the self proclaimed GFITW, if you keep shouting about it, you hopefully think that people other than Celtic fans will believe it - we don't. You are no different to any other fans, you have your idiots who cause trouble - just as we do.

Agree9 Disagree9

Op a bit in depth comment can only come from someone who watched the game ... watching the great celtic playing in champions league bet you wish it was your own team thou oh well 7th nov put it in your diary youll not want to miss the next

Agree8 Disagree6

When you read some comments on here from genuine fans you think lets stick together and get this whole mess sorted and get scottish football back to where we should be ... but then you read comments like the ops and you think nah lets go it alone

Agree7 Disagree3

@10. No not an idiot or Bigot, Celtic played very well, majority of the game defending but still a good performance. A Fantastic performance would have been 3 points - Great performance 1 point. 0 Points was a good performance, nothing more.

Agree5 Disagree2

@6. No, not bitter and twisted - I just enjoy it when the 'Sanctimonious Ones' get beat. Nothing better when that happens, whether it's 6-0 or 2-1. Nothing personal it's just football.

Listening to Barca Celtic on radio. You'd think it was Parkhead as they playing all the tic songs ----that's hospitality.

Believable19 Unbelievable6

They knew the tic fans were fun from their previous visits to Nu Camp and made them feel at home playing their songs.Pity you have to go abroad to get this appreciation. It was a party night for sure.

Proud show put on tonight.Unexpected by many.Enjoyed the spectacle .pity about the last minute goal but then, that is football!

Believable19 Unbelievable9

Not unexpected, can't argue with 28 attempts on goal against 4, thought Barca were ropey tonight, with some uncharacteristic poor passing/shooting, and also think if Sammygrass had remained on pitch Celtic might have snuck it, as Hooper is not a hold-up player....ach well.

Agree3 Disagree4

Good time to play barca at moment with no recognised regular defenders in the side. Celtic could beat them at home. Hope not obviously.

Firstly I HATE CELTIC always have always will. However we as acountry NEED them to fly our flag and keep Scotland from the lowest Champs League qualiying rounds. So I am glad that they playing well tonight and at 45-1 I have £10 on them to drown my sorrows after if they win. So my thanks to your team as IF Gers come back to Euro football in 4/5 years we have a chance of qualifying still. Jealous but admire the tactics of Lennon ALLY WATCH AND LEARN IF YOU CAN ..... Just wanted to say a big well done to
the bears coming on Celtic page wishing
us well tonight.
Remember we are a Scottish club trying
to improve all clubs coefficient.
ED039 it would be nice if you could
put your partisanship aside and wish us
well also. Timalloy {Ed001's Note - 039 hasn't been about today mate, so you are unlikely to see him wish anyone well.}

Believable15 Unbelievable11

Me thinks the silence is deafening on this page.
See Ed001 didn't wish anyone well either. {Ed001's Note - makes no odds to me whichever team gets the points, I am not a big fan of European football. It is just about money these days. I only watch it when it reaches knockout stages, unless my team is in it.}

Am trying not to bite but really, the tic are away to play the best footballing team in the world IMO, even if we get beat which is likely, it's still us at the top table. And don't talk to me about away wins, how many have you had this season........em nil

Why dont we just concentrate on our own team ? We play in div 3 sfl. Champions league has nothing to do with us now. Clyde over Barça any day.

23 Oct 2012 13:44:10
Rangers supporters should think twice about going to Broadwood. Clyde were the only SFL club out of 30 to vote against our membership. Why did they want Rangers out of existence? WATP

Believable13 Unbelievable23

Lol Rangers went out of existence because of self destruction; Rangers were liquidated and it was no one else's fault other than those at Ibrox!

Agree7 Disagree11

They responded to the wishes of their supporters ahead of thinking financially no hidden agenda
DB77

Agree12 Disagree6

Clyde are run by celtic supporting bigots......nuff sayed.

Agree10 Disagree20

Op you are spot on . you should think twice about going to broadwood. your away form this season suggests it will be another embarrasment .. shamrock

Agree17 Disagree7

When do we stop this boycott rubbish get behind rangers Clyde did not vote against rangers if they were Celtic supporting bigots they would be supporting Celtic stop this hatred of other clubs focus your energy on supporting rangers

Agree17 Disagree3

Why boycott Clyde. It serves no purpose. All we will end up doing is giving our detractors more amunition to throw at us. We need to rise about this stupid tit for tat nonsense and show them that Rangers supporters are the better than all of them put together. The team needs our support and we should go to all away grounds and give it. The only thing that matters is that we get promoted out of SFL3. Anything else is a side show and we don't need it.

Lugarite

Agree4 Disagree2

It was in fact Albion Rovers who voted against our membership, not Clyde.

Agree4 Disagree7

Clyde voted Rangers out. Albion 'little Ireland' didn't.

Agree4 Disagree3

No team voted for us to go out of existence. They didn't have that option. The first question asked was whether the existing rules allowed for our inclusion and if the vote was a resounding no then the rules would have been amended to allow our entry. The second question (after a majority said yes to the first) decided which division we would be playing in. It was as simple as that.

The SFL board had taken the decision already and all the clubs were in attendance for was to firstly ratify that it was within the existing rules and then to decide the level we would be playing at.

All Clyde did was to suggest that the existing rules were not adequate to allow us in, not that we should not be let in.

It's time to let the negativity go, concentrate on the team, and move forward.

Ho Ho! My Celtic 125 anniversary shirt has just arrived here in Germany. In time for me to wear it to the pub tonight to watch the big game. Donachy 67 on the back! By the way your 125 anniversary will be in 2137! Get your orders in early! (it is a banter site remember!)

Agree1 Disagree8

Every chance celtic will get beat but surely the best team on the planet should beat celtic its only common sence , but then again rangers should have beaten stirling albion or am i just being too optimistic

Come on the Bully wee. Give us another laugh.

Agree4 Disagree0

@1 and 2 Thanks for the support guys.No matter what the score we are there and we will enjoy it all.Even Ally said he was envious(on news tonight)He isn't the only one obviously but he did wish Celtic good luck.More than you did

Agree6 Disagree1

@6. Your team is our nemesis, we want you to get beat in every game. That's life, same as Man Utd and Liverpool fans would also want each other to lose whatever competition they are/were in. We are no different, you were no doubt laughing when we lost to Stirling (Ok it's no comparison to playing Barca) but a defeat is a defeat no matter who you play.

Agree4 Disagree2

Poster 3. Yes. we brought out our 125 anniversary shirt this year, actually on 18th October. It clearly states 1888-2013 on the large green celtic cross on the shirt. Perhaps you would like to go see the celtic superstore web site. You can buy one too. We dont have to wait until 2013 to bring out our anniversary shirt, as we know we will be in existence next year!

The Celtic shareholders that don't want to share sponsorship deals with Rangers anymore, are just another cowardly mob having a kick at us while we're down. The Celtic board are totally against any such action from their shareholders, because they know what side their bread is buttered on. I would like to inform those shareholders that Rangers don't need you and will be financially better off, without your club hanging on to our coat tails. Geo the Ger

Believable30 Unbelievable17

Celtic have never had a shared sponsorship deal with The rangers.

Agree9 Disagree17

Get real ya fud we aint making any serious income at all so how can we be better off

Agree15 Disagree10

Septic shareholders are only trying to take advantage of Gers being in 3rd div. When healthy, Gers would always be the better club to sponsor. Green should tell septic to take a hike, we rely on nobody anymore esp. after the way we've been treated.

Agree13 Disagree12

How on earth are celtic hanging on to rangers coat tails, you really are a deluded man.

Agree12 Disagree10

I have seen some stupid posts from the OP,but this may be the worst yet.You state Celtic are "kicking you when you are down",Then in the next sentence state"We will be financially better off".Make your mind up! As for hanging on to your coat tails, CL group game v Barca or your glamour game v Clyde? Hmm. James D

Agree10 Disagree10

I love the way you qoute the glamour game against Barca as the norm - the last you played a game like this was probably about 4/5 years ago

Agree13 Disagree4

Ok let's examine the evidence shall we.... rangers battling through the divisions with limited tv coverage outside Scotland...Celtic playing European football. Rangers with a strong fanbase in Scotland and England but bugger all else where Celtic with one of the biggest fanbases in the world these are known facts. So will someone please show me the evidence that Celtic are hanging on to
rangers coat tails.

Agree14 Disagree7

White coat for op time again. Its not coat tails we are talking about, whatever they are (very in the past you are), its a galactic distance behind celtic this ibrox farce is. Bankrupted, bought for less than a lottery win and pimped like a Marseille whore. Enjoy clyde, If you can.

Agree7 Disagree0

There was only dual sponsorship because of the hatred between clubs supporters, advertisers did not want to sponsor 1 without the other

Agree1 Disagree0

@7. Are you for real? Rangers with a strong fan base in Scotland and England but b*gger all else? What about N.America, New Zealand and Australia - as well as fans in Europe, South Africa and the Middle East. Celtic's fan base is similar in status and locations. If Rangers had limited TV Coverage outside Scotland, then why all the carry on with the SPL/SFA over the TV rights? Surely if nobody outside was interested in us, SKY/ESPN would only want the SPL games and the 'Fantastically supported' teams within it? Strange why they are interested in a lowly 3rd division team whom without inclusion in the TV contract would have cost the SPL/SFA a small fortune in reduced funding.

Geo the Ger- your posts get more and more ridiculous and desperate with every passing day.

Champions League team hanging onto the coat tails of a 3 month old club in Scotland's bottom tier? Don't think so.

Rangers have a big fanbase around the world but without European football, fewer televised games (against lower brand teams) and the stigma now attached to your club it would be foolish of Celtic not seeking "independence" from the Old Firm tag. Both clubs are at opposite ends of the spectrum right now, the sooner you realise that the more ridicule you will avoid.

And incase you didn't realise, Celtic were playing in the richest competition in the world last night, whilst Charlie Bhoy is rushing through a share issue for a 4 month old phoenix club, your club is either in need of an immediate cash injection to stave off financial difficulties or he is looking for a bunch of mugs to fund his pension. All the best at Broadwood, your luck's bound to change sometime!
