Just read the post match pants and I have to say I'm tired of the, 'we're narrowing the gap' and 'we outplayed them' nonsense. Celtic were the better team and we were LUCKY to escape with such a narrow margin. At least have the class to tell it like it is and to recognise the better team.

People want changes in January as I've said we have more than enough to finish 2nd in league truth is we are using players in wrong positions and wrong system! Players are no where near fit! Matt gilks and clint hill were the best rangers players against celtic yesterday. They were head and shoulders above the rest. Although i do think kiernan and halliday had decent games with wee holt imo being our most dangerous player. I thought our midfield was overrun as we had 3 against their 4/ 5 in their at times, that's a hard ask for any midfield to cope with that imbalance!

Like many of you guys on here i was very down coming away from hampden today. Firstly my honest assessment was the best team won the game albeit a very late goal. I have to though however mention that i truly thought big clint hill had a terrific game for us this afternoon. I also thought big rob kiernan had a good game beside hill and looked decent as a centre half pairing. Matt gilks was superb and although i'm a big fan of barrie mckay i truly thought he was by far our worst player today and warbs now needs to drop him as his place seems guaranteed and shouldn't be. Andy halliday gave everything and there's not much more than you can ask of him, he had a good game as did wee holt who was our most creative player imo, thoughts please fellow bears? What the hell does MOH need to do to get a chance in our team?

Your delusional supercooper. We were totally dominated the whole game and had it not been for the keeper and some poor finishing we would have been skelped. We created nothing and Holt spent much of the match being brushed off the ball. We have average players an average manager and we were dominated by a team far superior in every position. Ask yourself one thing how many of our players would make it into their team? Brown strolled through the game and if that's the best we have to offer then he could play into his fifties. Their keeper didn't have one decent save to make whole game and all Warburton has done is turn this team into a Kilmarnock or Ross County and all for £3m.

I totally agree that any player that has the privilege of wearing the rangers jersey should ALWAYS be giving their all so let me clear that up right away. I did also state that celtic were the better team and deserved to win. I was merely pointing out the few plus points from our team today, simple as that. I'm as disappointed about today's result as I always want my team to win but, without Gilks and Hill we'd have been humped again.

Players not good enough for system for me. Said it before and will say it all season. Spine of the team is all wrong. Got hill at 38 and miller at 36 in there. It's a big ask for us to be relying on these guys against a decent Celtic side. Two positives to take from the game were that he eventually played our best goalkeeper at last and played hodson who handles the game very well I thought. Hopefully warbs stubbornness will fade and starts playing guys on merit rather than showing faith.

Miller worked himself to the bone and was unlucky to be subbed. Clint hill done well considering the pressure we absorbed and while I've not been his biggest fan rob kiernan was outstanding today. It pains me to say again but the best team won and I've stuck up for McKay but he wasn't on the park.

Great finally someone realises Fod is not top drawer Giljs saved it being 4-0 today. That said my personal thoughts are what do fans want they been greetin for ages about Warbs not flexible and play Tav more forward plus give Hodson and Windass game eith holt and Halliday
He did all that and because we were 5 at back defending Tav sweeping we did not have a spare man up front so Celtics back 4 just double marked McKay and Miller = no chances up front After Dodoo came on we had 4 break away chances with 3 on target but blocked/ saved shots
Can't have it both ways defence shored up or all out attack
We would have lost a lot more goals with 4 man defence
We will sign at least 1 prob 2 quality defenders in January then we can at least not be sh*tting it every break away or corner

I would get rid of garner as he all brawn and no brain also waghorn as he is too predictable.

Warburton has wasted the money given to him this summer and so far his summer signings have been poor. Let's be honest Warburton has turned us into a Kilmarnock or Ross County and has spent around £3m to do so. Today's game was a classic example of Celtic beating an average team that no had no threat going forward. Great goal keeping, poor finishing and some last ditch tackles saved us from another hiding. Warburtons after match comments were even more worrying. Talk about not being in touch with reality!

A combination of Celtic's bad finishing and our Goalkeeper having a great game saved us from a doin, taking Miller off a mistake, McKay is shocking couldnae beat a drum.

So only got beat by one today. Massive improvement on our last outing however, I honestly think that was as good as it gets for us. I don't see anything or anyone in our team that indicates we are anywhere near Celtic in terms of quality. I'm sorry if this annoys some of you or you think I'm not a diehard, I just have to say it as I see it.
We were totally lost out there, men against boys. We were hanging on, so comprehensive was their dominance of us.

Fair play to Celtic, the best team won today.
I can't criticise any of our players for their effort but Celtic have far more strength in depth.
We paid three times as much money for Garner than they did for Dembele - that makes me despair, Dembele is different class at scoring and can dive better too which Garner seems to think is his main strength.
Tierney is a clearly a class above Wallace too, end of that debate surely.
McKay - far too inconsistent. Time to be benched.
Doubt the gap has narrowed to any great extent since the 5-1 game. That result flattered Celtic. The result today flattered us a bit.
League already gone. League Cup now gone but bears calling for Warb's head - behave yourselves! Why not ask questions of Dave King and his broken promises instead?

Walter isn't the answer. As someone eluded to, it's the players that aren't good enough for the system and yes, we could play a different system but I just feel the players aren't good enough, period.
We need to not be shopping at the Briggat. I don't think we have uncovered any gems by doing so, Windass looked very ordinary today.
Credit where it's due, Celtic played us off the park and we can consider ourselves part of the chasing pack. Where we finish will depend greatly on other teams dropping points as I can't see us sustaining a run of wins.
First season back so let's not get our knickers in a twist lads. It's always a sore one to be beaten by Celtic but remember, it's a work in progress.

Us so called fans have had enough of the same pish almost everyweek we are improving. we will learn/ a lot of positives. u say free transfers but there wages they are on plus leagues they have played in should compete better than we have and easily finish second. we bought a striker we don't use probably a waste of coin and buy one of the fastest and direct wingers tht wants to run past players and we don't use him.

We are first season back after 4 years of zero cash and zero kit money plus no euro money = £80million less than Celtic earned while we were away
We are NOT 4 years and £80m away from matching and challenging them more like 1 year and £15m at most (3/ 4 good players like their signing of Sinclair) . So people need to shut the fork up support the team and be patient
Think back to the pure rubbish we were playing under McCourt punting it up park and zero passin
Warbs at least is playing the game the right way he just needs a few more high quality players like Borussia had then the passing game pays off

On one hand Warburton has been unlucky, Crooks/ Windass/ Rossiter not fit, the Barton gamble but #1- he hasn't the quality of player to play the style/ formation he plays #2-doesn't appear to have recruited the RIGHT players. He needed to recruit more muscle @ CH and CF.

We defended very well considering carrying Kiernan as a passenger and that meant sacrificing a min up front = less attacking options
We could have won on break and with 2 more signing windows between now and next season we will sign better players
Europa qualifying and 2nd in league is brilliant after 4 years in lower divisions
You would never expect an amateur boxer to step up and beat a pro in first couple years same applies in football.

Not good enough at all today. Gills was superb and thought Hill was solid as well though ill say that much. Warburton has bought very poorly, he has players playing a system that doesn't suit them. Never looked like scoring and sadly that's been the case all season. No natter what people say we've had the second biggest budget for 2 years yet aren't even close to Aberdeen and hearts never mind Celtic.

I'm going to be honest here Warburton is out of his depth in the premiership, he talks a great game but to me is proving to be quite stubborn with his team choice. There is no sign of improvement and at this stage there should be. We all know we don't have the financial budget so I take that into consideration. Having said that we have the 2nd highest wage bill and nothing to back that up.

One year actually 3 months into our first season back after 4 years with no players of quality no euro money and no kit revenue plus being handicapped by the worst signings and worst coaching level in our 240+ year history
Facing all this Warburton has signed 20 players for under £3m and won the Championship plus got us to a Scottish Cup final
He now is just starting a 2 year project to get us competing with Celtic who have had 4 years and £80million pound more plus a kit deal paying millions
Fans on here are mostly deluded and not really aware of how to run or manage a football club. Thankfully the board and Warburton plus Weir are aware of how to do that
When we qualify for the Europa and I hope get kit deal resolved we will sign £3/ 4million players we are lucky that Lawell and Desmond only decided after the cup semi loss to genuinely get Celtic a manager and sign quality players
They will not as it is their policy start spending £10 million on players so will will match their quality over the coming 2/ 3 signing windows. Only then when Warburton has had 3 years and similar standard players to Celtic will THE BOARD decide if he is good enough. Not the keyboard loyal on here

For the first time I agree with other calling for MW to go. He has no scope to change things and is Stuburn when Poe performing players clearly need dropped. He bangs on about squad players believeing they can get in the 11 yet even when players are playing poor regularly they retain there place. Poor signings made, dembele 500k. Garner 1.8 m. Hill free, toure free.
I don't know who would replace MW maybe van bronkhurst but he ain't up to this job.

I read warbs said hill will handle the old firm if that is true he must be playing the big man. I think at Hamden we will get picked off as hill is too slow so we will have to sit in deep then when we press they will get the ball in behind.

Our two marquee signings are now out and looks like for good and our other new recruits sit on the bench or injured leaving us with last season's team. If we stand any chance today Warburton needs to stop the square peg in the round hole Waghorn wide right and play Dodoo or O'Halloran. He's okay in the middle and I know left footed Messi plays on the right but Waghorn's not Messi.

If we win today it will be more good luck than anything else. While we might not want to admit it we are still a number of players short of what is needed and Celtic have a head start on us in terms of quality. What is more, Wallace is not a leader and that is a problem. When things are not going your way you need a Souness, a Greig, a Butcher, Gough or Ferguson, Wallace sadly is not in the same league.
If the guys like Crooks, Windass and Rossiter had all stayed fit, if Kranjcer was not injured and we had two quality centre backs a quality winger and if Miller was a few years younger then I would be confident both for today and for the season but sadly that is not the case.
All I can say is I won't blame Warburton if we lose but King with all his empty promises should be in the firing line!
