Sad to hear about Sandy Jardine, a True Rangers Legend.
He was without question the most elegant right back I have ever seen. He was a joy to watch and a True Blue.
I was lucky enough to have dinner with him at a Bondholders event many years ago. I was sitting in the presence of one of my heroes and he didn't disappoint. He was great company and a down to earth guy. A real gent and a major loss. R. I. P Sandy. You brought a lot of pleasure into the lives of so many.

I am a celtic fan. sandy jardine was a great opponent. he wore his heart on his sleave.
rip.

Just read on news Sandy Jardine dead.

So sad RIP one of the nicest Rangers players in all my years as a bear.

Memories of the Dryborough Cup game the Dave Cooper keepy up greatest goal ever game.

Anyone that was there will remember as I do seeing Sandy take the ball up near halfway and head to the Rangers end, beating a few celtic players in that silky style he had like a european player before his time, then lashing an unstopable shot to keepers left. Nearly as great a goal as Coops.

I feel so sad like I've lost something of my youth tonight.

That era was my teen years watching Rangers and despite the dominance of celtic and the sheep I still loved the passion we had as a Rangers team.

A prayer to be said on Sunday

R. i. p. sandy jardine. you will never be forgotten. condolences to the jardine family

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gutted. In the darkest day of our club the man put his illness to the side and still fought for the fans and for the history of the club I hope they put a statue of the man in his seat in the directors box as he will always be with us.

What on earth does Sandy Easedale mean when he says ""So, we're kind of tied by the Stock Exchange in what we can say. As for me, I'd love to tell the fans all, but, the PLC board is tied by rules and regulations. " Tell us what Sandy that there has been so much dodgy dealing and that you are privi and we are not. I can't believe I just heard that. This is awful it confirms there are dark secrets being kept.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hi NBS. Here is what I hope will now happen. The world wide Rangers support with the input of Gough start £50 fan input per year. The alleged 1.5 million WW supporters along with ticket and commercial sales would see Rangers back in its stride. This plan needs to be pushed and as far a I see SOS have the push and the fans backing to get this kick started.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP just listened to Mr Easdale who I would suggest should not be on the Brora Rangers board never mind The Rangers board.
Why is he breaking silence the day before the long awaited review?
Why is there a new public relations expense when we are so close to another admin event?
He states it wasn't emotional blackmail to get season ticket money but can anyone think of any other reason for gazumping Wallace's report?
We need to own this club- forget Paul Murray, David Murray, Ian McColl, Charles Green Dave King and Uncle Tom Cobbley and all. The Club is only safe if it is owned by the fans and managed frugally and sensibly. Time to start again from almost scratch. We have fans through-out Scotland who could be a scouting network to make Auchenhowie work to the clubs advantage with the correct football management.
Who is coming in this summer- I would suggest nobody. The baw if not completely bust is far from rude health as is our club.
Ed I have asked this before and no one answered but why did the organisers of the "Save Rangers Campaign" not up their campaign to see if fan ownership or part fan ownership was the way ahead?
Even if half the £14. 5Million pledges came to fruition the fans could have added that to the smaller amount of £5. 5Million of the "Blue Knights" and it all could have been so different.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I have no idea NBear, I have a feeling that they may actually be pretty much the UoF, although I could be wrong as I dont have the time to look it up, maybe try googling it and if you find anything interesting give me a shout, when I have a wee while I will have a look into it myself though)

Op we always knew there were dark secrets about 50 million of them and n1 easdale should not even be allowed on a skate board never the rangers board

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers ED did as you suggested the UOF spokesman seems to be Chris Graham who recently had a pop at fans who were critical of the manager. Also I think the chap Craig who was under threat of being sued by the Easdales is also a leading member but whether they were the "leaders" of the "Save Rangers" campaign I don't know.
How do these guys become our leaders? I am going to vote for a new committee - you, Baybear, Larky Bear, billyb, Senior London Bear and Bigcol's dug.
It will go through unanimously.

According to Mark Guidi there are going to be good and bad bits in the long awaited 90 day report. Good, apparently, is the renaming of the stadium for a substantial fee. (Could it be Mike Ashley with what he tried at Newcastle)
Bad appears to be season ticket sales are slow and board may not be able to keep promise of new financial investment.
I also heard on Radio Scotland that one of the Easdales has confirmed poor season ticket sales and club is in "perilous" position.
So all you gers fans now have a big dilemma do you swallow pride and buy a season ticket or do you watch club go back into administration.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Wasnt it a 120 day review?)

Total garbo 90 day review WTF?. And Easedales comments are a joke because the UOF and Dave King have said give us Ibrox and Murray park we will hand over the funds. So is what Mr Easedale saying is he and his fellow board members would rather the club go to the wall than hand over the securities to the fans?. The report is going to be grim I would rather Hull City owners Assem and Ehab Allam bought us and called us the Glasgow Rangers Tigers than let that clown and his cronies tarnish our great club any further.

Agree0 Disagree0

No Dilemma for me Tim I just can't afford to renew this year so I won't pretty simple. I've helped the club all I could at every turn no more these guys are total crooks & I can not & will not support them. I'm finding it hard to even Support Ally & the players after the miserable football they've served up for the past 2 years anyway. Growing up I've always liked the full Rangers team as individuals apart from a rogue few. This team the only 4 players I actually really like as players & in how they act off the park is Wallace Jig, McLeod & Clark.

Oops ED039 I never could count lol
@Larkybear it's the genuine Rangers supporters like yourself I feel sorry for (my own 2 young nephews do not know what to think)
For some reason your club has attracted lots of shysters, guess it is the easy money on offer.
Myself, like most Celtic fans have enjoyed seeing your club's difficulties, but this time it appears even more serious as you may not be able to come back anything like before if a second Administration takes place.
Sadly your predicament was caused by "Rangers men" maybe it is time to get just DECENT men running your club.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ ED yes it was 120 days although it feels like 360 days.
Very negative sound-bites from HQ today which partly could be the board panicking bears into ST purchase but on balance does seem a fair bit more than blackmail.
I wonder if the small majority who thought we would win the Championship would feel that way if we start with a 25 point penalty?

Agree0 Disagree0

Here here Timalloy!! Although we banter on our own page about what happened to them, like yourself I feel for all who bought shares/ season tickets for the club they love! We have been in the position! It's always the hard working man that suffers! Genuine supporters on here are still torn! No mater what the report brings! I genuinely hope you guys still have a club to support! I just hope the blinkered fans are wary of ploughing good money after bad, and you all start pulling in the same direction and rebuild this mess.

Agree0 Disagree0

N5 cheers delbhoy and timalloy cheers for your concern

Thanx for the reply tmwnn! Wether we love, hate or miss each other, the one thing that makes us all the same is the love of our football club. Sorry to hear about sandy jardine that's him up there with the rest of the legends, jinky, burns and cooper r. i. p.

heard from a friend who spoke with a current 1st. squad player, asked him what's going on, IE the lack of performances, he said most of the players hate McCoist, his training is crap, and the way he treats them, enough said. If the board don't take action, we'll be seeing a lot more blue seats next season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Whos your pal tommy the taxi driver your pal should have slapped the player for the poor me routine while collecting thousands a week this absolutely laughable

There are, in my opinion, a few reasons why Ally should not be the man in charge next season. But the main gripe I have is the manner in which he went about winning Div's 3 and 2. I don't mean the way we played etc I mean the players he brought in. I, and many others, said on this site way back then that I hoped he went for youth, our own and any talent out there that could be bought (we had the budget it seems) mentored through games by 4 or 5 seasoned Pro's, not 10k a week one's I might add. We would not have won every game but we would have won the league's in my opinion. But much more we would by now have a core of 6 or 7 blooded, exciting and talanted youngsters, who would have known all about playing for Rangers, had real first team experiance and be hungry for more trophies.
But no. We have a team of over rated, over paid underachiever's that are too well paid to be sold and not good enough to make a dent in the top flight
This was a once only (I hope) chance to re-build from scratch. To mould not just a team but a club into the ideal unit. That chance has gone, I believe because Ally did not have the confidence in his own ability to do it. I believe he took the easy option which was to throw money at experianced SPL players and forigners
Nightmare.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree with almost all of that post apart from the last part.
I don't think ally's experience didn't stop him, it was his philosophy.
The old rangers way was celtic spent this, we spent more. Ally believes that is how rangers should be run.
Look if ally could buy the players he wanted we would have more or less the same players we had when we went into admin.

Well guys after much thought I am going to renew for next season! I honestly don't feel this is the time to boycott and put the funds into this account mr king will set up, I have a feeling if we go down that road it will be the end! I think mr king certainly has rangers at heart but I feel we will all just be the puppets to what end? I admit I was encouraged by the new sponsorship deal, it may not be a mega deal but it's a bit more encouraging! I think I will give it one more season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'll renew as long as ally is relieved of his post. sorry but I can't watch that for another year. otherwise it will be game by game for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Then one more, then one more, you are the guy that says, but I've always voted labour.
Change can only come if you change.

Agree0 Disagree0

One more year of this board pumping your pocket. Suprised you won't await Wallaces review due today before reviewing all that says to me is you lack the intelligence to make your own decision and your are the kind of sheep this board loves taking money from to put fuel in their jag's. Bahhh!

Agree0 Disagree0

I am still on the fence with this one. I agree with a lot that Aberbear has said. I will wait for this report and if it is full of corporate bullsh!t, then no renewal for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see where the op is coming from,
He's worried team will go bust if we stand with king.
That might happen, but ask yourself what will happen if this board carry on with their business as usual.
How did we become a club where we have all these fans that are blind to reality. This club is not to big to fail, it's already happened once.
This is a rally cry, for gods sake stand up for this club before there's nothing left.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm saying nothing, last year I managed to get someone to renew by saying something about blue jerseys.

I don't want that responsibility this year!

Agree0 Disagree0

@1. Spot on mate I am doing the same. If Ally goes I will be back. Not watching the rubbish that's been served up for the last 2 years

Agree0 Disagree0

Ide ratherbe led blindly by dave king than be led blindly by a shower of money grabing Red Dwarfs 50 million reasons for choosing dave king

Reading the reports after Ayr game and Ally's quotes, he's sounding like that wee guy that was useless for Scotland but had all the stats to back him up. You know the guy that wrote into the papers under his birds sons name to say how great he was. Craig Brown. OMG.

Is Ally doing the same on here?
