Wish everyone would stop worrying another month to go for the transfer window to close, all the best players in our squad are staying after signing new deals and ally will get the right players to come in and make the team stronger and give it more depth, people have got to remember the SPL started 2-3 weeks earlier this year so give him to the window closes before u hate or praise what he's done with his signings.

Ed, Now that the copa america cup is done and dusted do u think mr mcoist will make a move for any players? I know hes been linked with a few? {Ed003's Note - If he's linked with a few the timing of the end of the competition is of little importance, unless the players representatives were actually playing in the tournament}

who agrees that we should bring in Allan Smith for cm instead of davidson ? he's box to box, likes a tackle and has a attacking instinct because he was a striker earlier in his career, not to mention he's a bluenose agree or disagree {Ed003's Note - I dont}

Believable4 Unbelievable9

Please no Another James Beattie

I really hope we get this Roland Juh sz. Have a wee look at the vids of him on youtube etc. looks very strong and technical and loves a tackle.

Id rather see him and cuellar rather than this romanian

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ive never seen him play so dont want to judge but I've not heard great things, he's apparently good in the air but like bambi on ice with the ball at his feet

Ed003 as you are blackpool fan, what do you think of ferguson signing? Is he a straight replacement for Adam or as I think he will play in front of your back 4 more defensive minded than Adam, I loved Blackpool last year breath of fresh air and I won lots on the william hill coupons both teams to score and over/under coupons I always took both teams to score and over 3 goals thats a wee tip for you bears out there might make you some money this year
Hail Hail timalloy {Ed003's Note - Anyone with half a football brain would realise Ferguson is a replacement for David Vaughan,this was just lazy journalism because of the Rangers link between the players,I will wait to give judgement on Ferguson,but whatever player we sign we are in a far better place than 2 years ago,I'm not a betting man but a friend of mine also did very well on them sort of bets}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The crab'll not give you any of the excitement of Adam. He will hold the ball up and allow others to push forward....providing he rates them if he doesn't have faith in his teamates be prepared for him dropping deep, demanding the ball and pissing teamates off as he kills the game

just an opinion

Baybear {Ed003's Note - Like I said,a replacement for Vaughan,but with more attitude from what you say}

Can anyone provide a good source to the bougherra situation? it would be great business for us as long as we have cover in the name of goian(spelling) all the rumours about celtic trying to gazump him are total nonsense the manky mob have just signed two young players from notts forest and cardiff and have youth players like josh thompson trying to break into the team there is no chance To the people sayin coisty on the way out, stop posting non-sense the whyte knight knows there would be up roar if such a thing was to happen, protests, people not turning up to games, he knows what super means to us coisty will be at rangers for a long long time be patient fellow bears, there will be many more signings walking through the main stand front door

Evening Ed003 I come with a big endorsement from our Ed007 who says you are a nice guy (even if you support Blackpool)
Rangers fans are saying Celtic scouts are just copying them in tracking players but both teams have similar budgets and are obviously going to look at a lot of same players. Celtic will take best ones and gers can have rest haha Timalloy

Leave you with a Smile
Mr Whyte won some money in Lottery and has pledged it all to Sally for new players, and next week if he wins another TENNER club can have that also LOL timalloy {Ed003's Note - Good evening Timalloy,old joke but nethertheless not bad,It's a strange one that both teams appear to go for the same player,it would be interesting to actually know if it were true? maybe it's the agent pushing his player(whomever that may be) to both clubs knowing like you say, budgets are similar and European football chances are very equal too,just my opinion}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry, but the R@ngers fans are talking guff. Were the R@ngers after Matthews, Wilson or Wanyama? I think not

In my opinion, the reason the clubs are linked for the same player is because agents use the old firm to stimulate interest in their players. In some instances these players may end up signing for one of them.

R@ngers have spent a large chunk of their £5m budget on securing their best players and signing Wallace. If Murray Davidson's their level, I have absolutely no fears for the forthcoming season. Where's this £20m?

R@ngers are in real trouble for the Malmo game and I fear the worst for them, doesn't bode well for our co-efficient.

Like Tim said, Ed07 has been speaking highly of you Ed3, so welcome to the goldfish bowl of Glasgow. You can have a laugh at our inane drivel/bile, lol.

I fear Malmo will beat the G@rs home and away. Hail Hail....Miko {Ed003's Note - I've been around quiet a while Miko just tend not to give an opinion, but seeing as we're short of Rangers Ed's I thought I'd chip in, Thanks for your welcome though}

Agree0 Disagree0

Me thinks timalloy bit of a ar*ehole more interested what th champs do than th catch up manky mob

Miko you should rename yourself Groucho everytime you post about rangers you grumble do I detect a pis-ed of celtic fan who knows his team have absolutely no chance and he wants to change his team lets see your money?

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, nite fella....Miko

Agree0 Disagree0

"doesn't bode well for our co-efficient" ... Really want to bring recent European campaigns into this Miko? Your lot have given our co-efficient a great boost in recent years right enough. Utrecht? Braga? Bratislava? Wow talk about a short memory. If it wasn't for Rangers in the past few seasons, Scotland's co-efficient wouldn't even bare thinking about.

Enjoy being the 2nd best team in Scotland, just as you always have, and always will be.

We are the world's most successful club, I understand how much that must hurt.

So run along now back to your own page for your runner up, second rate club

Celtic FC... forever in Rangers' shadow. {Ed003's Note - If you post that last sentence I had to delete you will be banned,I'm a lot more leneint than most Ed's but that wont be tolerated}

Agree0 Disagree0

Who are you? At least have the courage of your convictions and put a name to your post ya donk

Your instincts have let you down, I'm the absolute opposite of pissed off, buy a paper tomorrow and have a look at the league table. That'll give you an indication of why......Miko x {Ed003's Note - I thought you were away to bobos x }

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah 2nd best but i'll go ahead and list the things we've done first

first to win a european trophy which just happened to be the big one

first to do 9iar and 3iar in the spl

beat you lot 7-1 in a major cup final

won every competition we entered in 67

got to the european cup final twice

most scottish cups

but were second best :D

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha, get off the glue. The season after Artmedia we qualified for the knockout stages and then the season after that we again qualified for the knockout stages. Always remember, we are the superior club because we've won the biggest club tournament in the world, R@ngers have not.

Remember Kaunas? Didn't think so Once again, another anonymous blogger, at least have the corage of your convictions to put a name against your post....Hail Hail.....Miko

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers will tomorrow seal deals for Goian (800k) & Murray Davidson (450k). Bougherra will leave for 2.25 million & James Beattie will depart for Preston in a 250k deal.

Thursday or Friday will see the return of El Hadj Diouf on a permanent deal as Blackburn want to cut their losses and release him, thought to be willing to accept 30k per week. As a season ticket holder Diouf is far from what I want to see at Ibrox - What are your thoughts? {Ed003's Note - The Beattie one is interesting as his family home is on the outskirts of Preston}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Whyte won't go above 25k a week. Absolutely no way he'd break that rule after signing 3 key men on long term deals at the most per week he's willing to offer.

Agree0 Disagree0

This all sounds good to me with the exception of Diouf returning. I've made my thoughts clear about this tube previously on these pages.

Baybear

Agree0 Disagree0

30k a week for diouf ffs i wouldnt give him 30 pound a week

Agree0 Disagree0

If diouf took 20K a week and was able to behave himself he could be very handy its just that some folk would put their personal issues before the team.You dont have to be likeable to be a good footballer.Look at bellamy...

Agree0 Disagree0

Diouf is a 10k pw player if hes lucky, seen pensioners turn faster than him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Baybear, you're absolutely right Why would you want a player like that to be associated with your club? He's vile, Blackburn can't get him out quickly enough.....Miko

24 Jul 2011 20:09:03
As disappointing a performance and result it was on Saturday I think we could use this to our advantage or at least Ally could

Quite clearly our central defence was abismal. Bougherra looked like a player who simply didn't want to be there and Broadfoot was a passenger. I think the following players are realistic targets and would do a good job for us;
Roland Juhasz - £1.8million - Anderlecht
Ron Vlaar - £2.5million- Feyenoord
Jan Durica - around £2million
Kris Stadsgaard - £2/2.5million - Malaga
Andre Bikey - £1.5million - Burnley
There will more than likely be a centre back brought in on loan; either Kyle Bartley or Danny Wilson seem most likely.

In midfield what was obvious is we need quality in the centre of the park. Murray Davidson has been linked but a few names worth a look;
Thomas Hitzlesperger - Free - West Ham
Nikola Pokrivac - around £2million - Red Bull Salzburg
Chris Cohen - around £2million - Nott'm Forest
Nenad Milijas - £1.5/2million - Wolves
And, obviously we need a couple of wingers;
Wesley Verhoek - £2million- ADO Den Haag
Marcelo Estigarrbia -£2/3million - Le Mans
Jason Puncheon - £750/£1million - Southampton
Thomas Enevoldesen - £1.5/2million - FC Grongingen
Vladimir Weiss - Loan - Man City

In the striking department we need a proper partner for Jelavic and theres certainly options out there a few could be;
David Goodwillie - £1.75million - Dundee Utd
DJ Campbell - £1.25million - Blackpool
Jamie Murphy - £750k - Motherwell
Ricardo Fuller - £2million - Stoke
Federico Macheda - Loan - Man Utd
Mame Diouf - Loan - Man Utd

Just a few thoughts but I think all are quite realistic ofcourse some would depend on the sale of players but we need investment to challenge on all fronts this season, whats your thoughts Ed?

Rosco {Ed003's Note - I think Hitzlesperger's wages would be to high same with Fuller,puncheon favours living in the south of England,M.diouf would be an excellent loan signing and interest in Goodwillie isnt just Rangers and Cardiff}

really wish we would stop talking about buying defenders and buy some creative midfielders , jig and edu too defensive.we need to get some skill in there with davis and start tearing at teams

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I agree buddy were so short of quality in midfield, good midfielders run the show, take the pressure of defenders and provide for attackers davis appart the rest are plodders

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not even the defensive aspect of there game that is bad it is the fact that they both clearly lack mobility and creativity and cant pass unless its side ways or backwards

McMoist is not a manager, absolutely no way.....Whyte's hindering him in the transfer market as he also knows this as fact. He's miles behind Lenny.....Miko {Ed003's Note - And 1 game gives you this opinion,Mmm?}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Na Ed, I knew this before he was even appointed. Lennon's built a better side, has fostered a good team spirit amongst the group and has us playing attractive football most times. This is now our year, McCoist doesn't know his a*se from his elbow This is my honest opinion, I'm not on the wind up.

What do you make of McCoist Ed?.....Miko {Ed003's Note - I think he should be given time to build something Miko}

Agree0 Disagree0

Miko you plonker Lennon has had an extra year to build a side Ally has been in the job 2 months and the transfer window has got over a month to go Did you think Ally had no clue when he was in charge for the cup games last season? Ok you pipped us in the SC but the league cup final was amazing Also did you think he had no influence on how well Scotland were doing when he was assistant? In SUPER ALLY we trust

HBN

Agree0 Disagree0

Miko you are just saying all the rubbish you say to get attention mate you have got a serious mental health issue to deal with there -you know the bears at least try to understand you and tolerate your nonsense I fear whats happened is the great unwashed dont listen to him anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leave MIKO alone have you know charity in your hearts, If I had to watch my team being dominated for the last 25YEARS I would probably be on the look out for a HAPPY PLACE, he is only hanging about here to see what it feels like to be one of life's winners a few charitable words in his direction is not too much to ask "but for the grace of God it could have been one of us"

Rite lets all be honest

Why are people saying we should sign David Templeton, hes no better than the young lads we already have, and is that it for us, just gonna scout from the SPL and become gradually worse? Gers dont actually realise how strong a spine we have with Davis, Mcgregor and Jelavic all at a gd age. Need to add better players not average SPL kids, just because they can show a wee bit of speed.

I think Ortiz aswell was a bit of a fan shut up purchase as we hadnt signed anyone and ppl were beginning to get on mccoists back, you would have been better off with Fleck or Hemmings than him yesterday, and yes Edu had an OK game(just OK) but him and mcculloch couldent get a touch yesterday untill Davis moved into the middle, Edu still has the touch of a melon and has no ability to make creative passes, as i said before we are in DIRE need of another quality CM, Ally made a wee bit of a rookie mistake playing broadfoot yesterday...no need for it when we have just signed wallace, i cnt wait untill bentfeet leaves, people need to stop being so harsh on bougherra , hes not done anything wrong, so what he wants to leave least hes going about it in a professional mannor, hes given rangers alot the last few seasons and i wish him all the best.

think we seen yesterday naismith wont work up front with Jelavic need another striker in there to help the big man up the park, naisy will be better out on the right, and i believe our markee signing should be doing everything we can to try and get V Weiss back, think u seen the difference yesterday how good a player we had on our hands last year, the team i have to admit looked dreadful yesterday and looks like weve taken 10 steps back from last season rather than forward.

I do believe though the season starting so early has ALOT to do with it, team are no where near ready...but Hearts looked in alot better shape than us.

So we have Wallace, Bedoya and Ortiz....

another 5 or 6 players needed for me, or celtic could see themselves with quite a big advantage.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we can get Weiss for anything less than 4m then i'd definitely want to see it. Think Mancini has plans for him in Manchester though...

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are people saying we should sign David Templeton, hes no better than the young lads we already have

better than wylde, ortiz, davis on the wing and all of your other wingers

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2011 19:53:53
Even though we were terrible yesterday, i still think rangers will do well but only if we sign 2 centre backs (if bougherra leaves) and my choices would be bartley and cuellar. In midfield i think its pivotal davis plays in the middle of the park as there is no creativity from the others. McCullochs lack of pace was apparent yesterday and i feel murray davidson would be a good foil for davis. A left midfielder is a must.. ortiz is cleary better on the right of midfield and he seems to have decent technical ability so dont judge him yet. My choice would be chris brunt, but in the current financial climate i cant see that happenin. Up top i would drive david goodwillie personally to murray park if his case was dropped, as it was apparent rangers dont strech teams enough. If we get that players or players of similar quality i believe rangers would have a better team than celtic BUT mr whyte you need to loosen the purse strings and back ally

Keep bougie and play as an attacking full back
sell whittiker absolutly hopeless
give broadfoot away worst defender in our history
put weir into reserves to teach youngsters positional play
Buy 3 centr halfs
McCulloch given away so negative
Edu to slow
Put Ortiz back to te right and lets see if e can handle it, might get a few crosses into the box
Lets hope we can fill the gaps fairly quickly

Believable1 Unbelievable2

24 Jul 2011 19:24:05
Please Bougherra go, you've done an ALRIGHT job, massivly overrated in my opinon. Buying Carlos Cuellar is some piece of buisness if we get him nearer the window because he's injured anyway and would be paying his wages if he came straight away. Then bring in a couple of big solid defenders.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Wot is it with u people on this. soon as a bid comes in for the guy, you all say he's this and that, not good enough. get a grip mate

Really feel for Ally he is one in firing line for all the sh**e happening but what can he do if an owner is more interested in fixtures and fittings than the playing staff 5 star stadium seems to be the priority wouldn't be surprised if stadium naming rights were on the table doesn't matter what they call it "my heart will always be at IBROX on a matchday" fair enough if its going to bring mega bucks to club all well and good the more the better but don't hang a living legend out to dry

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Stadium can only be done in off-season and 5 weeks of window left. historically clubs dont sell until after their well inot pre-season, early start has done us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree about the close season refurbishment but point was "all well and good getting the place done up but you still need a product to sell even if its basic to start and upgrades along the way squad was threadbare last year and its even thinner now not as if SPL came up to our house door with a mitre and asked us if we fancied a wee kikaboot on saturday we all knew when league was kicking off

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2011 19:07:57
After being at Ibrox on saturday, its clear to see we are severly lacking in several positions. Firstly the two centre-halfs were shambolic Broadfoot would struggle to get a game for most of th SPL's lower teams, nevermind the champions. Bougherra didn't look interested, plain and simple the guy doesn't want to be there anymore. Should have cashed in on him at the start of the window Really need to move him on, hopefully grabbing a couple of million. I also think we need a creative midfielder, someone who can unlock defenses consitantly and a good team player. Its all very good to say thats what Davis is, but half the time he is playing right wing and we can't rely soley on him to make the chances. A second striker to support Jelavic is also a priority. The big man looked so isolated yesterday. Even in the second half when we upped our game.
I know this is not really a rumour of any sort, more concerns, but i feel it is imperative we get at least 2 quality defenders, 1 midfielder and 1 striker otherwise i fear we'll come up short against the bitter and twisted

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2011 17:32:23
We need a really fast left winger who can beat a player and put a good ball into the box, a big striker who will bully people in the box to partner jelavic.

Just like John Sutton did to our so called defence

24 Jul 2011 17:15:36
hopefully the boy from palermo will sign but after that we reali need a new cm to play with davis, mcculoch and edu jst dnt contribute enough we need players that can take the game to other teams i understand the need for a player that can break the game but surely there are players out there that can break the play and also contribute to attack its not exactly the hardest league but if we continue with that midfield we will continually be dominated by other teams

Believable0 Unbelievable0

On the face of it I would put Ally and Lennon on a par, both young managers in charge of two of the biggest clubs in the world and both with unquestioned love for their clubs. Does anyone think that all the f**kwits that targeted Lennon last season have actually hindered us and given Lennon an advantage over Ally? what I mean is what more inspiration could you have as a player than watching your manager recieve threats to his life and that of his family but refusing to back down? I for one would run through brick walls for a leader like that. What do you think?

Baybear {Ed047's Note - a simlar point I made to a work colleague. Lennon will have them fired up after losing out last season

We need a gd corner kick taker, last season we wasted 5 to 10 a game, steve davis is mince @ taken corners, p.s. Tht davis was worst player on the park yest.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

It has been like that for a long time now. It has been the same for freekicks till Jella came along. If he is out then we are looking at Papac to score goals from FKs... Poor show.

Remember the days of Van Bronckhorst and Albertz firing in the corner-kicks... and big Amo sticking his napper on them, brillant

right i know this might sound like a load of old tosh but im just passing on what i heard, my uncle is an agent who works in south america (he is venezuelan) and he told me last night that Estagarribia will NOT be coming to Rangers and we have never been in contact about him or declared an interest it was just all just media bulls***.(he is not his agent but he knows a few of his representatives) but he told me there COULD be a copa america star coming to Rangers. I asked if it was Santa Cruz and he said "no chance". He never told me who but said it might not happen till late august.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

It looks like the Gers backroom staff were on samba scoccer holiday when they went to South America as they have got nothing back from their trip. Again bad commercial timing as all the players prices go up after a major tournament like the Copa that has almost finished. Lets pay even more for some duds. We need to seriously look at our scouting systems over the world. Lets face it scouting and being a manger or trainer are different and while the backroom staff are okay at what they do they are not top class talent spotters. {Ed002's Note -

after celtic were slated by rangers fans about quantity over quality and buying foreign players how do they feel now that rangers are also using the same policy?serious question guys,

Believable0 Unbelievable3

We still have no quantity and have been linked with numerous Scottish/British players so I don't really see your point?

Baybear

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally invalid point.

Scots in yesterday's Ranger's starting team = 5.

In Celtic's today = 2.

Agree0 Disagree0

The amount of British/Irish players in both teams stand at 6 for both starting 11 so Celtic policy is to bring players from further afield I.E. Honduras, south Korea and so on but what am trying to say England Wales Ireland are not far away so point crap and replies just as bad

Gutting to say bears, the Walford boys have looked pretty decent today. Where as we looked a bit stuck for ideas yesterday. Freshening things up quickly has become even more evident.

They were okay going forward but if Mr McCoist cannot see their glaring defensive frailties then they should not be in the job, don't want to elaborate in-case any lurkers are looking in and actually give CRYBABY a clue lol if they had been playing Hearts they would have been hammered

I'm getting a bit fed up with people suggesting we play Papac at CB. When we first signed him and played him there he didn't look great, he might be a decent stop gap but he's not strong enough in the air to play there long term. Remember we always leave him back for corners and free kicks because he isn't a threat in the air. He also has a problem with concussions because of an injury he suffered in a car crash a few years ago which might explain why he's not aggressive enough in the air.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

It may also explain why he looks a bit like warzal gummage...
He is one of our best players right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

No doubt he's one of our best players but we should keep him at LB. We can play Wallace at LM and switch Ortiz to RM.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it just me, or does he look older than Weir?

after reading broadfoots comments about wanting a first team place or he's off i was expecting a a bit more effort but he seemed more interested in arguing with the crowd, the guys a joke the sooner we get a new centre half the better, and if theres any chance of getting wesley verhoek we should be bursting a gut to make it happen the guy would be a sensation over here

I dont under stand playing players out of position, ortiz is a right sided player play him on the right put wylde on the left and it would give us some width, with davis in the middle with edu. Also we just got lee wallace, play him on the left and put papac at his natural position as centre back with boughy. keep the rest the same and for the 1st time in about 4 years we would have everyone in the team playing there natural position.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Papac should stay on the left and wylde is not good enough to start for the gers, he is ok to bring on with 15 min to go when all the other player are getting tired.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye, he's not got the legs or experience to start a game and works better as an injection of pace in the last half hour. Maybe give Ness a few games in the center of the park instead of Edu against weaker opposition and see how he does, i'd say.

A few questions I wonder if anybody could answer?
So what is the true amount of money this season that Whyte has made available to Ally to spend on players, inclusive of wages, fees (both agent and transfer)? Reading between the lines, about 1.6 million has been spent on transfer fees. Might I be right in saying that the rest of the "war chest" has been spent on current players contract extensions?
Thoughts appreciated.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We still have most it to spend, well buy 4 or 5 new players by the end on the window, give ally and Whyte time we need to make sure we get the right players no big mistakes we can't afford it

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sure that people will respond but it will be only speculation. There will be only a few at Rangers who could answer this question.

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly i don't think money will be THAT much of an issue. Thats not to say that we have a big budget but the players we could realistically attract with the SPL's current reputation aren't going to break the bank. I reckon Whyte will be willing to spend, on transfer fees alone, a max of 10m (thought i doubt we'll spend over 7) but no more than a couple mil on any one player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for the reply. was just thinking perhaps it would have been best to have some players in before for europe. or is ally and whyte concentrating on buying for the spl

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2011 11:13:11
If we go for this formation, with these players we will win everything. (except CL obviously)

GK Greegs

RB Whitts CB Bougie CB Cuellar LB Papac/Wallace

CM Davis CM ? CM ?

FW Naithsmith ST Jelavic ST Goodwillie

I'd like Cuellar but if the other boy's McCoist is looking at are any good then its all gravey.

The CM's represent players we need to buy. One attacking minded player, one defensive to cover for when the full backs roam forward.

Barca do it, with all be it better players, but with a few additions we can play a similar style that with, one subtitution, ie Goodwillie off for Wallace/Wilde/Ortiz can become a 4-5-1 for Europe.

What ya think bears?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Fer CM I'd play Naisy Davis Ortiz and play Lafferty Jela Goodwillie(if he ever comes and big lafferty gets healthy) When we switched yesterday in the 2nd half we got a lot better so 4-4-2 still works fer me. In Ally We Trust

Agree0 Disagree0

Based on yesterdays performance and the squad during the last games of the season, we will need to sign more than just a few. If anyone get hurt we are in trouble. Not that we looked great yesterday.

Wylde isn't good enough. Pace to burn but does the same thing every time, head down and just keeps running, hence why his deluvery into the boz is so bad, he doesn't look up. Don't know what all the fuss is about with him.

Our problems would be easily solved by a few decent signings that wouldn't break the bank Cuellar £2m, Miller £800k, Davidson £400k, Eremenko £Free, add this to Bedoya in Jan and we're sorted. Maybe even push for Templeton £2m and we'd cruise the league Imagine this starting 11....

Shagger
Whitts, Cuellar, Bougherra, Papc
Templeton, Eremenko, Davis, Naismith
Jela, Miller

Would then have the likes of Wylde, Laff, Mculloch, Wallace, Weir, Ness, etc to throw on or rotate the squad with.

All this would cost only £5.2m (including Templeton) Maybe even get shot of edu for £2m and we're sorted. All that quality for less than what we paiid for Lafferty? Any thoughts ed?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Who exactly would pay 2 million for edu in their right mind ?

Agree0 Disagree0

We need a midfield general and whit is no right back

Supposing there's no new blood; my team for the next game would be:

Shagger
Whits Boogy. Sasa. Wallace
Ortiz. Davis. Edu/ Mcl. Wylde
Naisy
Jela

Give that an hour and if its no doing it pull whoever's offered less oot the widemen and give Hemmings a go rejigging the midfield to incorporate Naisy.

McCoist went conservative playing both Edu and Mcl in midfield for their legs but neither contributes much else. It really backfired badly in the first period. Hopefully Coisty has learned from that. No sure what the idea of playing the Spaniard on the wrong wing was all about either. Generally, better to attack all teams, including the jungle jims, certainly when you're at home in the league.

I have just had a look @ verhoek on youtube for the first time, he is exactly what we are missing a winger with some flair He can take people on, great delivery & also goalscoring touch, what more do we need? We should push this one through as quick as possible from what i've seen im surprised there isn't more teams sniffing about I know its only youtube but surely ally must have had him watched & been inmpressed.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Ive lost any respect i had for the guy, he is full of himself, thinks he is better than what he is, he deffo shouldnt be running up pitch and ally should tell him that, hope he gets sold to quatar team for big money lol

gettin sick of bougherras showboating, he is a liability with his 50yrd runs into the opponents half. It was this that gave hearts the space to play in. If this is what he is doing to get a move good, riddance. If not u r a center half, then defend. Lucky yesterday, not to be pumped be hearts.

right , if this Dutch lad is going to cost us 2 or 3 million i think we should really consider using it on templeton , every time hearts play us he seems to stand out like a sore thumb , the talent that boy has for such a young age , think he would be a better buy because he's already played in spl and shown how good he is ;O

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Has plenty of ability but hasn't finished a game in his last two visits to Ibrox. Is he too lightweight for the SPL? Is that something that Ally and his management team (Adam Owen) can sort out? Worth a punt I tend to agree, for a reasonable fee.

BigGordi (Govan East Corner)

The only reason he stands out like a sore thumb is whitty doesn't now how to play against him. He's to tight to him and templton can turn him and beat him for pace.
