Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

24 Sep 2016 20:37:49
Have heard a few fans online debating whether to play Barrie McKay in the Josh Windass role tomorrow.

Would be ideal if he can play in the centre along with Andy Halliday and Jason Holt, allowing Michael O'Halloran to play on the flank with Martyn Waghorn on the other flank and Joe Garner through the centre.

Think that's the only way Michael O'Halloran has a chance of starting I think but leaving out Harry Forrester would be a mistake, no matter if the officials are after him or not.

24 Sep 2016 22:36:11
Thought windass was going to make it? Going to be a good old fashioned scrap tomorrow so team selection accordingly! Means no niko no ohalleran and no mckay imo! We need to be right up for it from first whistle!

24 Sep 2016 22:44:49
ohalloran garner waghorn upfront pace and power. will mckay bring the work rate of windass? we will need it.

25 Sep 2016 06:31:54
The officials obviously are not after Harry did u see his last booking lol :)

25 Sep 2016 09:49:34
Mckay hasn't kicked his own arse in the league this year he doesn't deserve a place in the starting 11 YET.

25 Sep 2016 21:54:38
I would start with the same team as beat QotS. That means McKay on the bench.

24 Sep 2016 21:15:19
Really get wound up about warburton getting the sack! wish fellow Rangers men would get real! he is the best thing to happen to us since sir Walter took over from a disaster! magic hat has it sorted from first team to youths! he will get it right might not be this season but we are the people!

24 Sep 2016 21:52:42
It's a rebuilding job atm. Let's be honest the league would be absolutley brilliant but it's well too early.

25 Sep 2016 07:32:02
If Warburton does not turn things around quickly then he will be under pressure and lots of fans will be calling for him to be sacked. This is just the nature of the beast when you manage Rangers.

Comparing us to Hearts is probably a good example just now as we have been in the same leagues recently and have suffered financial ruin. Robbie Nielson got Hearts promoted in his first season and achieved a 3rd place finish in his first season in the SPFL and done so on a fraction of our budget.

I agree we should not be thinking about winning titles and the people at Rangers who said we would be challenging for titles this season have just set us up for a big fall. That being said, we should be aiming for at least 3rd position or winning the Scottish cup to ensure European football next season. If we don't achieve one of these goals then it is time for Warburton to go in my eyes. The only thing that may save his bacon is that we may not be able to afford to sack him.

25 Sep 2016 08:13:12
m13sop
Such an outrageous statement. You need to stay off the blues chum! lol HH.

25 Sep 2016 11:35:40
What's he done to make him the best thing to happen since Walter?

25 Sep 2016 11:57:46
Youth? He pulled the plug on the under 20 team last year when they where eighth place. Floundering again this year.

24 Sep 2016 21:19:56
They won 6-1. I hate to admit it but we are not yet ready to challenge for first I'd take second right now
Other teams seem to lie down to them we must beat the sheep tomorrow they 3 points are badly needed.

24 Sep 2016 22:00:15
How can you say Killie lay down to them when a few weeks ago we got pumped by a similar scoreline!

Let's face facts, Celtic are the reigning champions and are dominating domestically as champions should. It's down to us to close that gap as the reality is teams like Aberdeen and Hearts, for all their efforts, just don't have the capacity to challenge Celtic. (financially, retaining players, youth development etc)

I'd take top 4 this season. Can see consistency being an issue for us this term.

24 Sep 2016 21:48:37
We won't get 1st this season anyway. 2nd place and qualify for europe. League cup would be a success judging where we were last couple of seasons too.

24 Sep 2016 22:08:37
Humey no panic it is a long season, yes it will be great to
get the three points but if we don't and play well then it's not the end of the world .
Europe main aim this year ( 3rd) phase then move on, as I have said before Ashley is holding us back and until we see the back of him we have to go the way we are .
Got a good feel about the squad and the back room / scouting staff etc, let's give them realistic time to gel and see where we are in three months .

24 Sep 2016 22:36:13
Agree Brian -p let's have some patience and have realistic target for this season.

25 Sep 2016 06:37:16
I totally agree with Ashley holding us back without retail we are never going to compete with Celtic financially.

Wish there was a clear cut way of getting out of the deal but seems not.

Until then it will be a hard job to finish above them in all honesty.

We'd need to have great vision in the transfer market/ bring thru top class youngsters plus keep our best players.

25 Sep 2016 10:34:20
On commercial terms Celtic are miles ahead of us at the moment and they only made 4.3 (maybe 4.7 million) profit from merchandise according to their recent set of figures.

Now if we assume that we could do as well (which we wouldn't) then that means we would have an extra 4.3 (4.7) million added to our turnover. So while this would help us out financially, we would still have to borrow to meet operating costs. Please keep in mind that our debt has risen 24.1 million in a 13 month period since King took charge. If we had a better retail deal, it would have meant it only rose about 20 million.

Our current retail deal with Ashley is being used as a smoke screen and is being used to blame all our financial woes on, which as I have just highlighted is simply not the case.

To those thinking that a more preferable retail deal would mean we could compete with Celtic consider this.

Celtic are on course to have a turnover in excess of 70 million this season and we are on course to have a turnover of 25 million this season. Adding 5 million to our turnover would mean there is still a 40 million difference between us and Celtic. So as you can see the retail deal is not the only thing we need to sort before we can compete with Celtic.

25 Sep 2016 21:57:17
It is a long season and so long as every player that plays gives 100% and takes no prisoners and we play as a team then the league is a long way from over. We shouldn't give the league to them until it is mathematically impossible for them to win, as a species we are better than them and we should never forget it.

25 Sep 2016 22:27:32
Second spot is being realistic anything less is not good enough
We got beat because we put the rong team out and tactically got it rong and big send getting sent off didn't help
I have patience I've waited four years we have a good enuff team to challange no pre season slowed us down and injurys I understand that
But we need those 3 points tomoro to keep the momentum going into this semi final.

24 Sep 2016 19:38:11
New Bhoy u say we are having a direct season.
How so?

24 Sep 2016 20:51:29
Win tomorrow could kick start our season hopefully get run without injuries that has held us back as much as anything this season.

25 Sep 2016 08:15:22
I hope it's a draw. HH.

24 Sep 2016 18:48:22
Watching st mirren on alba and and tom walsh is on as a sub making a good impact already, very direct in possesion.

24 Sep 2016 18:18:20
Seems the reds have it over the blues this weekend.

Man unt beat Leicester.

Bournemouth beat everton.

Arsenal currently stuffing Chelsea.

C'mon the sheep.

Onwards and downwards.

24 Sep 2016 18:36:42
Good for you for being able to identify two colours.

24 Sep 2016 19:01:14
Is this a celtic fan page or a Rangers fan page. Every time I come on it's all celtic fans posting. You must love gers fans more than you love your own. I don't blame you really :D.

24 Sep 2016 19:17:05
And they say fishing isn't a blood sport. Lol.

24 Sep 2016 19:25:29
Loads of bites today.

You're on a roll as well scout, showing you're capable of stating the obvious and identifying different colours. 👍.

24 Sep 2016 19:51:36
Rafbob. i'm a former snowdrop, what else would you expect, its 26 plus since I finished my twelve, but our sense of humour and fascination for our version of the truth never changes.

Enjoy your leave in october, however I can't wish you a good result on the 23rd.

Hope service is too your liking, I had a great twelve, would never wish to change a day, great times, great guys, you know where I'm coming from.

24 Sep 2016 20:07:37
Scout, that explains how you are so good at observations! I'm living the dream mate!

Unfortunately it's a very different animal these days but it's still the same job at the end of the day.

I work with interesting and talented people who know how to wind a jock up lol.

RAF police where I am mainly hand out tickets these days so I'm sure you will have the better stories.

Likewise for the semi final, enjoy yourself and stay safe if you're lucky enough to go.

24 Sep 2016 20:15:00
The fact of the matter is "Celtic fans" are far far more interested in Rangers than their own team.

24 Sep 2016 20:31:20
Rafbob, in my day serious security was our gig, different times different issues, very different in country problems.

Left the mob, joined civil police retired, a few years ago, now living the dream overseas in asia in retirement, I get home every couple of years.

I keep in touch with a number of service staffers, non of us would change places with you now, at least we had numbers and the opportunity to have lots of down tome, don't know how you still deliver the product on current numbers, even though I accept the technology has advanced beyond my understanding.

You have not even got the postings to scotland we had to get away occasionally from the sassenach ribbings. Although beasting them was always fun.

Come 11/ 11 if its a result at wembley, I'd love to be watching in pigs bar or the mess.

24 Sep 2016 20:36:00
Stu is blu, yes some of the dark side are on our site, we have to embrace the poor guys, it just goes to show how much they missed us .
Once we get back to the top where we belong, they will disappear .

24 Sep 2016 22:46:22
we should actually help this poor sod be obviously has issues and just wants a bit of attention just like big Sutton.

24 Sep 2016 23:33:23
Scout, I won't go into things too much but you wouldn't be wrong to say you wouldn't swap places.

Serco are all over security these days! I say that loosely.

My wife would love to buy a house in Spain and move out there when I bang out.

Lossiemouth is still on the cards but to be honest I would rather go to Akrotiri.

Your lot fall under the same TG as the rock apes now! Best mates lmao.

Good to hear you enjoyed your time, I am sure I will, even with all the "improvements". 👍.

25 Sep 2016 08:18:47
Rafbob and scout, get a room! lol HH.

24 Sep 2016 17:03:53
Keep this downward spiral of losing a league position every week, and by november you'll be bottom of the league.

Onwards and downwards.

24 Sep 2016 17:10:18
Good observations scout.

24 Sep 2016 17:16:27
Oh dear, Iamnoboyscout, your team has just won and yet instead of celebrating u are on the Rangers page, #obsessed!

24 Sep 2016 17:36:56
Actually fascinated with your position. Many bears were on here abusing celtic because we played in the international cup, and that you would be several points clear by now due to our disrespect for the league.

What has actually happened, is celtic represented scotland, and have still got to the top of the spfl, and are sitting a barrel load of points clear of our new firm rivals rangers with old firm rivals Patrick thistle as our game in hand.

24 Sep 2016 18:12:02
#obsessed Is something rangers fans say when they have nothing to say about their dire position #realitybiteinguinthearse.

24 Sep 2016 19:57:22
Dire position. put the 32 champions league teams into one table of points and goals I who would be on bottom of the 32.

24 Sep 2016 20:29:58
yeah but we would still be 25-30 million better off for it.

24 Sep 2016 21:33:28
bet you wish kilmarnock had lay down to you a few years back mr sutton might be a happy man today if that had happened are you seeing akela tonight lol.

24 Sep 2016 21:30:11
yes yous have done not too bad since you were formed in 1994, did you come on to this page by mistake?

24 Sep 2016 21:04:29
New as in Crltic only being 22.

24 Sep 2016 21:32:13
Rainbow, brownie or whatever your name is please go back to focusing on your own team which is playing good stuff with a few real quality players I hope leave you soon, however don't darken our doors we are on the right path back don't you worry about us my friend.

24 Sep 2016 20:45:12
iamnoboyscout, PLEASE don't say you are representing Scotland (which you are ) to have the heaviest defeat in the CL in Scotland is nothing to be proud of. Go back to castle grey scull and try and boost your attendance, as for a team that does not exist has had a better league attendance since division one says who are the best supported team in Scotland and most successful, WE will be back!

24 Sep 2016 22:25:10
Bears72,

Besiktas hold the record for the heaviest defeat in the champs league. in addition there are 5 other teams who have lost 7-0 in the champs league. bad loss yes against the best forward line in the world.

24 Sep 2016 23:17:03
Besiktas are not Scottish, !

25 Sep 2016 11:50:03
Brian-p. stating the obvious. Bears72 never specified that celtic held the scottish record the the champs league. his wording however is open to debated and i'm sure 99% of readers of the post would decifer his post as that of "celtic hold the biggest defeat record" which i just pointed out is in correct.

24 Sep 2016 16:04:24
Seeing a lot of posters sayin barton does not fit into our system if this is the case then why was he signed in the first place? kris boyds article in last weeks paper nailed it he's used us he was our "marquee" signing but he offered and gave us nithing on the pitch its almost as if he means it he's been that bad especially with his pre season comments his signing his performances and the way he's conducted himself it just doesn't add up he hasn't even been a 7/ 10 in any game I've seen.

24 Sep 2016 15:25:01
Guys

I live out in Canada and can't pick up radio Scotland or Clyde this season the feeds are all blocked. any suggestions as to how i can solve this.

thanks in advance

Ted.

24 Sep 2016 17:00:49
If you are trying to watch the game tomorrow then either use rangerstv or Vipleague. mobi but I don't have any idea about the feed issue?

24 Sep 2016 17:48:39
Use a vpn and set your location to the uk and it will work fine. I wrote an in depth guide on here before but it will be in the archives, not the best designed website to be fair.

24 Sep 2016 21:13:00
Give the club £5 a month and do your bit for the club Rangers tv.

24 Sep 2016 15:14:21
First time poster folks.

Like this page, but really surprised sometimes by the negativity that can come up towards warburton and the team currently. Totally unchartered waters this season for the club after coming up from D3, and trying to come to terms with a higher standard of football.

I genuinely believe there's a decent team in that squad somewhere, there is some good youth that needs time to develop, bed in, and needs supported at home. Once the first round of spl games are done will be a better indicator of where we are. I think we'll still definitely finish second this year, the club has the resources to expect that, ill be supporting the team as best i can to that end.

24 Sep 2016 17:49:22
It's mainly due to positive talkers like myself going missing. I can't bring myself to write if I feel I'll be abused and drowned out by negativity.

24 Sep 2016 19:37:19
But everyone on here said spfl standardwas rubbish and championship wasnt so far off it. why the excuses now?

24 Sep 2016 13:55:31
Can anyone confirm that the Kenny Miller incident was all started because the ned woman had a go at Kenny because she could never get a sun bed booked and the local shops were always sold out of fake tan because Kenny and his missus had monopolised the resources.

Cheers.

24 Sep 2016 13:30:26
OMG, the team has been playing well without barton couldn't beat ross county and beat a championship team? Forget Wallace being absolutely gash, waghorn being far too big to be a footballer and garner being the biggest waste of money ever spent, but hey its barton's fault.

24 Sep 2016 14:23:07
Dazza73 throwing in a grenade lol.

24 Sep 2016 14:40:00
C'Mon surely it's way too soon to have a go at Garner.

24 Sep 2016 14:52:52
Waghorns 36 goals in 43 games sais otherwise.

24 Sep 2016 16:30:11
I think Mr Flo might disagree with you there.

24 Sep 2016 16:41:13
behave man you are obviously steemin.

24 Sep 2016 17:19:01
Garners only played a few games give him a chance.

24 Sep 2016 21:31:07
14 pens and only 3 goals against premier league sides says differently.

24 Sep 2016 21:30:12
36 goals in 43 games is all and well. Dembele has scored more goals against rangers than Waghorn has scored V Top Flite Opposition. Just saying.

24 Sep 2016 10:56:03
I think lee hodson looks a better player than wallace; anyone agree?

24 Sep 2016 11:45:41
Wallace has had a slow start to the season, but I think he will come good yet.

24 Sep 2016 11:56:17
Cant say i agree ger1, he's played against all lower league teams. in his 3 apps he wasn't up against anyone so can't understand why people have got him as our new fullback.

24 Sep 2016 14:19:05
Hodson has played at a higher standard. Wallace has played against part time players for 4 years. While hodson has played in the English championship.

24 Sep 2016 14:22:46
Wallace was good against lower clubs. At the highest level he's mediocre at best.

24 Sep 2016 16:29:00
Wallace was a stand out for Hearts, that was why we bought him. Has he really got that bad over last few seasons?

24 Sep 2016 10:11:02
I believe we will win today however.

For me Warburton just does not have it or get it.

I am growing tired of the ' I just don't understand' routine. The DR report this morning is an example. Why does he not understand the rivalry? I am not asking him to accept the hatred that comes from Aberdeen, but he needs to start playing the game. I am starting to wonder what Warburton has learned about our history throughout. There is constant air of I know better than everyone else that's starting to get right up my nose, a constant feeling that he is looking down on us all. It's not washing with me at all. Just get the job done Warburton, prepare the players for a tough game, don't start making excuses before a ball is even kicked that they might not be prepared! what's that all about?

The c*cks are on the block time. Stand up and be counted, you wanted to play for the Rangers, well this is what playing for the Rangers is all about, no-one like us and we don't care.

Get that into your heads and get out there and start producing the results and stop trying to work out the Scottish mentality towards football. You're here to enhance your career and earn one. So start!

24 Sep 2016 10:35:29
How will we win today when our game is on Sunday?

24 Sep 2016 12:40:18
Ive been a day ahead all week!

24 Sep 2016 13:39:01
Gdog10 if your a day ahead? Can you share tonight's lottery numbers 😂😂😂.

24 Sep 2016 13:37:39
It's tomorrow we play mate lol and I think warbs is trying to play everything down to keep the players heads down and only worrying about the football side of it
It's not a rivalry in Scotland it's hatred there's a big difference he must see it in going for 3-2 Rangers I just hope we don't drop any more points tomorrow
And mone the killie I hope Boyd scores a hat trick in memorie of his bro.

24 Sep 2016 13:52:14
It's tomorrow.

24 Sep 2016 14:27:11
I can guarantee we won't lose today. willing to take any bets to the contrary.

24 Sep 2016 14:00:41
Absolutely agree about warbs started thinking a few months ago when he was asked about been linked with jobs in my opinion he would jump at any offer.

24 Sep 2016 14:42:31
It's cool, it's cool. I am a day ahead all week LOL.

I think we will get a result buts its on a knife edge. I just think if Warbs is saying this to the press he is saying to the team.

24 Sep 2016 21:11:05
He should be telling the players to go out there, play their football but win at all costs. Look after one another, fight for one another and don't take prisoners. If we go at them, play hard and tackle hard, then we will beat them and it won't just be by one or two goals!

Touch sand dancing and giving respect to people, get in about them. He should listen to some of the team talks froth past!

24 Sep 2016 09:05:26
What happened with Kenny Miller? Reports that he was arrested in Bothwell.

24 Sep 2016 13:19:21
I am told by another diner - not a Rangers fan - a mouthy / drunk dame started on KM and wife and it got heated.
Could have been dealt with by restaurant owner but wasn't.
This guy very surprised polis took it further.

24 Sep 2016 15:05:54
And would this 'other diner' have given a statement to that effect then?

24 Sep 2016 00:14:36
Great interview by lee walllace. Hope he can bring some of tht leadership to the pitch if he's going to stay as captain.

24 Sep 2016 08:32:43
I don't think there's any question that he won't stay as captain. It's the fans making stuff up and he's Warburton's choice. Equally Sutton making noises about the manager and setting off alarm bells where there aren't any and our own fans turning on Barton for speaking his mind because he's a winner. He might not fit the system but some things said about him are way over the top.

24 Sep 2016 10:12:27
Kfraser hear what your saying but Barton for me isn't mobile enough though he intitled to his opinion. so is every other staff member. for me can't think of a single good shift he put in for us halliday isn't technically as good but I rather play him every day of the week joey needs to earn his place and relish the chance of putting on the shirt rather than thinking all he needs to do is show up.

24 Sep 2016 13:46:55
I'm 50/50 about Barton he still has to prove he's here for the right reasons I was oor the moon when he came here but he's still not hit the ground yet
If love to see him at his best for Rangers he is out spoken but a great footballer
I'd keep Halliday captain sorry lee but we need a leader in the middle of the park not left back and he's a Rangers man his heart and soul is in the club like mine and every other fan not the Wallace's isn't but there's a difference.

24 Sep 2016 16:54:33
I think halliday would be more suited to captain. But you can here the passion in that interview from lee which i hope all the players have.

24 Sep 2016 00:12:58
Serious thoughts for the Dons on Sunday boys? Personally being from Aberdeen I hope we pump the! 5 years of absue from the Dons fans has been building up time for us to turn on and show the top flight what they've been missing! As so far we've been an embarrassment! Sad to say but true.

24 Sep 2016 01:06:51
RTID1995, an embarrassment , you should give the team time to settle, I know you said so far but to say embarrassment is a bit OTT.

24 Sep 2016 03:14:04
you should support the aberdeen if you live there, otherwise yell be known as a glory hunter.

on a brighter note aberdeen is in decline the oil is vainsihing and so will their fans :D

up the gers.

24 Sep 2016 04:38:40
Have to say even though I am a Celtic supporter I think that you will beat Aberdeen comfortably on Sunday, just a gut feeling I have. Their form hasn't been great, especially at home which is unusual for them. Better without JB and NK is beginning to shows signs of his quality. 1 - 3.

24 Sep 2016 07:04:02
The oil is not vanishing, it is just my cost effective to get it just now because the price of oil is so low.

24 Sep 2016 09:14:00
yes it is.

24 Sep 2016 09:47:41
Why not enlighten us all on the reason why the oil is vanishing from the north sea because it seems that your information contradicts the experts. The experts say that using current technology to recover oil and gas from the currently discovered fields the oil and gas won't run out until at least 2060. However, I'm sure it will last even longer because technology will advance and new fields will be discovered.

24 Sep 2016 11:23:10
My sister stayed in Aberdeen and when I was there I got some stick for wearing my Rangers top and hat.they hate us up there in the sticks happily take a 1 nil to us.

24 Sep 2016 12:29:27
There's plenty oil and gas, it's just we have tapped the easy to reach places. Better leave it in the ground until price rises; which it will.

24 Sep 2016 20:57:17
The issue is not whether there is oil or not. The issue is the extraction costs. With the return of Caspian Oil to the Market and the Political Issues surrounding Saudi Arabia oil will remain inexpensive for some time yet.

That is adversely affecting Scotland and also areas of the US, for example, Houston, Texas. When the Political situation eases prices will rise again but probably not to the levels previously seen.

That raises a question regarding the financial viability of extracting oil from the North Sea. (Crude Prices would most likely need to be $60+ a barrel for North Sea Oil extraction to be financially logical) .

Of course, the Political Map can change and prices can rise and technology can help lower the price of extraction. Now to more important matters, I would like to see Rangers go with the team that beat QotS tomorrow and I would expect a Rangers win.
