Would love to see SG new manager. It would attract a pedigree of quality as he was one of the biggest names in football. Maybe yes lack on experience in management but he's played at the top level and i'm sure learned a lot at the top level about how to manage a team. No doubt just rumours as per but if he was appointed i'd be more than happy.

25 Apr 2018 21:42:50
No experience at all. So a very big gamble. Rangers need to stabilise the club and build up over the next 2 or 3 seasons not take a punt on a manager like they did with Pedro. No use a manager coming in to learn his trade but dream on.

25 Apr 2018 21:05:03
Been following this page for a while and a feel the pain of all the blue noses all over the world and know this is hard to take but when we topple the unwashed and shut that wee cardboard lego muncher up all the pain we have suffered will make our victory more sweeter they are all diluded if they think they are going to keep at the top and I for 1 will love to see that nose with a face making comments on bt then.

25 Apr 2018 21:47:03
Talk is cheap Suititbody. Hear the same talk here every time a Celtic game comes up. Before the semi final all the talk was about how Rangers would win that one. 4-0 later everyone wants Murty out because he can't compete with Celtic so what has changed in 3 weeks?

25 Apr 2018 19:53:33
For the next few days let us concentrate on the game on Sunday. In my opinion we can win this game with a bit of organisation. Three in central defence, 2 wing backs, a diamond of 4 in midfield and 1 up front, Cummings, who would be supported by the pace from behind. The 4 in midfield would be Docherty, Halliday, Holt and Dorrans and with a bit of luck and a strong bench then a victory will be ours.

25 Apr 2018 20:20:27
I'd go 5 in midfield wth Candaias, Holt, Docherty, Dorrans and Murphy. I'd also put someone man for man on Brown. Cummings up front. Central defence - anyone but Martin.

25 Apr 2018 21:07:49
I’m sorry but I stopped reading and hit disagree when I saw Halliday in your midfield.

25 Apr 2018 21:09:49
billyb so you'd drop our best player, Candeias, our top scorer and one of our best signings in favour of Halliday and God knows who in a 'back three', while completely altering the system? Right.

25 Apr 2018 21:15:20
What's the fixation with Brown? He plays too deep to be a real problem to us, their other attacking options are far more important to be taken care of than him. What's needed is to get right in their faces instead of standing off them, to hunt in packs when we don't have the ball, to tackle with vigour and good timing, to show courage going forward and get people running in between their bang average defenders. But this gutless manager won't do that.

25 Apr 2018 21:17:32
Totally agree golden bear. Like your midfield and I have the same issue with Martin who has been a disaster. Unfortunately I think he will play in an unchanged back 4. Wee Cummings looked good at the weekend so keep him in. Hopefully if game is tight I’d love MOH to played through the middle last 15 mins. I know it’s a bit of along shot but I have always felt that he would be great against the mhankies defence.

25 Apr 2018 19:00:03
Regarding Warnock as possible next manager, he just signed a new 2 year contract in Feb’18. This may make it quite expensive to take him on. I think the board may look at the cheaper options. This may include van Bronckhorst (last year of contract), Alex Neil (1 year rolling contract), De Boer (not in a job), Michael Preudhomme, who I think would do a decent job. He has good record with clubs he has been at.

25 Apr 2018 19:39:32
Shaft1690 correct and he’s on the brink of taking Cardiff to the premier league or compete in the play offs. I’d bet my house on it he’s not the next Rangers Manager.

25 Apr 2018 19:52:45
@gazzarobertson who’s rankled now eh?

I’ve not got a problem or attacking any fellow bears but your posting on here it’s a done deal, he’s calling the shots on player signings, he has a house in inverkip and oh Stuart McCall has said no to being no 2 really?

Tell us all how u know this did an ex player tell u? Someone in ibrox or Neil himself?

I might be wrong but I doubt it

25 Apr 2018 20:35:13
You are rankled. clearly. My source works closely with certain things. His information is usually spot on previously. I will share any information he gives me with fellow rangers fans and I certainly won't be stopping because of wee bitchy comments from the likes of yourself. Behave. All I've done is share information given to me.

Regardless of contracts signed for all we know Neil resigned or has agreed to walk away at the end of the season from his contract. Or we have funding in place to allow for these expenditures.

25 Apr 2018 20:49:30
I have no idea who our next manager will be but surely if we are targeting Arfield and Mcarthur there must be some kind of verbal agreement in place with someone to take the job, I know we have Allan the DOF and he targets players for the manager, but a new manager might not like them it just seems another back to front decision like us appointing Pedro then getting a DOF, suppose time will tell

25 Apr 2018 20:56:44
😂😂 ok then

If I’m wrong I’ll be the first to say ✌️

25 Apr 2018 18:10:56
Don't think I'll bother watching the game on Sunday not confident at all and can't bare the thought of that mob winning the league against us.

25 Apr 2018 19:46:56
Keep the faith son we are all hurtin . imagine what you would miss if we pulled it off

25 Apr 2018 20:34:23
no how you feel mate its like building yourself up for a good kick in the town halls will watch but not holding my breath

25 Apr 2018 16:22:31
If it is gerrard. let's hope he doesn't slip up 😂😂 in all honesty though i think its gio his contract isn't getting renewed at feyernord.

25 Apr 2018 18:23:33
KirkcaldyLoyal posted message on Liverpool rumours last night and not 1 Liverpool fan has made any comment so I think it would be safe to say SG will not be coming to us.

In my opinion don't want him near ibrox

25 Apr 2018 15:54:12
Anyone else getting a good feeling for next season no saying we will win the league but the players we are linked with and a know its gossip but arfield bartley mcarthur bringing back mcgregor who would be a good commanding keeper for us who will organise his defence as he has done before just need to clear some of the duds out and get the fear back into playing us again give us fans a bit of pay back for all the loyalty we have shown over the years with a team with heart and passion back

25 Apr 2018 17:50:27
Kyle Bartley was average the last time he was here and hasn't shown any improvement.

25 Apr 2018 19:04:28
Hes got more experience under his belt now and he's a big strong tough tackler exactly what we need at the back and can win a header who would u prefer we sign burnbank

25 Apr 2018 19:45:36
My preference would be not to sign players who are not going to improve us, like Bartley.

25 Apr 2018 23:06:16
Bartley was not even that good the last time what's the big hype Some people just seem to get a fixation on very average players.

25 Apr 2018 13:56:01
Not been told this off anyone so not claiming to know anyone on inside who's gave me info.
Neil Warnock to be new manager and Stevie Gerrard to be employed as either the head of our Youth set up replacing Murty, the 1st team Coach or Assistant Manager with future Manager role in pipeline in all goes well.
Judging by initial signings i'm guessing we have British based manager in pipeline.

25 Apr 2018 14:15:23
Makes sense to me mate, if this is the case it’s the correct one, anyone thinking anything else is delusional. Whether there is 100% guarantee of Stevie Gerrard taking this role could be argued

25 Apr 2018 14:34:13
There is absolutely NO chance Warnock is the next Rangers Manager and even less chance that Gerrard is leaving the Liverpool set up to move his young family to Glasgow to take over our Youth set up. What odds do you want?

25 Apr 2018 15:16:07
Speaking of Liverpool, apparently Rossiter had a great game for the youths and I would throw him in on Sunday, we need to do something different and maybe just maybe Docherty and Rossiter can get a grip of the midfield.

25 Apr 2018 15:20:41
Why would gerrard leave his beloved club to come to ours?

It’s all paper talk

Warnock won’t be manger and neither will Gerrard!

25 Apr 2018 15:22:16
LDM 17 I take it you're a glass half empty type of guy. Every time you reply to a post it's always with a negative remark. No one knows for a fact who the next manager is going to be so you can't shoot down every rumour on this page as if you know who it's going to be.

25 Apr 2018 15:50:47
LDM 17 why on earth would Gerrard have to uproot his family when he lives just a 3 1/ 2 hour drive away?

25 Apr 2018 15:54:02
TGR, the head of our youth setup is Craig Mulholland not Murty. Murty was the development squad coach.

25 Apr 2018 16:03:56
LDM 17 this is a rumours page not rangers gospel. All you do is disagree and shoot everyone else down. How’s about telling everyone else on here what you know. Aw aye it’s f**k all. Maybe better doing something else with your spare time mate

25 Apr 2018 16:49:49
I think like a lot of our support he's rankled very easily. LDM17 needs to understand and quickly it's Warnock in place. He's calling the shots. And he's asking for the players to be signed. Niel still has a house in the Inverkip Marina and is at the moment having another one built in Helensborough. We don't know who his number two will be although I am told Stuart McCall has said no.

25 Apr 2018 17:20:05
No it’s not .

25 Apr 2018 17:22:21
Warnock has a house in Dunoon 👍🏼

25 Apr 2018 17:25:59
gazzarobertson83 where are u getting your info from regards warnock. genuinely hope he is the new man for next season but sadly i can't see it myself

25 Apr 2018 17:54:11
@rabc10000 He’s just guessing and spouting rubbish think he’s a columnist for the daily rag

25 Apr 2018 18:49:09
Jcgers what the hell is your problem? Why are you on here if that's your attitude? If it's rubbish I'm spouting prove me wrong when it all comes out who the manager is. Is that our way now? Attack fellow fans because we have information given to us? Incredible

25 Apr 2018 19:02:43
Oh and was I " spouting rubbish on here" a whole 12 hours before any story broke of McGregor? I'm not saying I have golden information or inside knowledge all I'm saying is I have a guy who works closely with certain things and is usually spot on with his information.

25 Apr 2018 13:23:47
Well done Ed for taking down ald1985 post . no need for that kind of stuff on here

{Ed001's Note - apologies, I meant to take his name to delete his account, not post it up, ticked the wrong box.}

25 Apr 2018 11:52:15
Here wtf has happened to Barrie McKay down south? Frozen out like JC by karanka. I know after the way he was treated up here he might never come back but I'd happily see him back.

25 Apr 2018 12:19:51
Forest supporter here, started off brilliantly, then went off the boil, absolute mystery. 🤔🤔🤔

25 Apr 2018 12:34:10
agree

sold for 500k a disgrace

25 Apr 2018 12:59:41
NAW! He refused the new deal he was offered. He goes missing to often.

25 Apr 2018 14:14:50
No mystery, he just doesn't have it in his makeup to be a professional footballer at any level. We sold him because he wanted to leave and getting £500k for him has proven to be good business.

26 Apr 2018 12:04:28
Treated badly? Couldn’t be arsed to fight for his place more like. Far too inconsistent. It was his decision not to sign a new deal as far as I’m lead to believe.

25 Apr 2018 11:37:22
Hi fellow bears what is everyone's problem with steve gerrard? Correct me if I am wrong but did we not get a player manager before from Liverpool who did quite well? Was that a risk at the time? To a certaon extent aren't all appointments a risk .

25 Apr 2018 11:59:18
Guy is fantastic professional who's achieved everthing nearly, would demand respect and get it, not sure if i want him as boss though

25 Apr 2018 12:14:12
Can't afford to take a gamble on someone who hasn't managed at any level other than under 20's again.

25 Apr 2018 12:38:25
Well said @allyrangers some people on here are so deluded

25 Apr 2018 10:29:55
notice dave king was at Liverpool game last night having a great time with dalglish etc

shame he didn't make more of an effort going to our games.

25 Apr 2018 10:46:07
Rumour has it Steve Gerard was the reason. He is 1/ 2 with some bookies to be our next manager.

25 Apr 2018 11:13:58
DOIGER

really hope not - we are not in a position to take such gambles

25 Apr 2018 11:45:20
He a well respected ex international footballer who has played at the highest level and has played under some exceptional coaches/ managers. Captain of club and country. He has done excellent work with liverpool u20 team. The players would listen to him. He would sort out the midfield. don't see a problem with this if true. Must be the only one reading the comments. Mark allans the manager of football side of things so we just need a good coach to train the players and prep them for games.

25 Apr 2018 08:34:16
Ed this slipped in banter 2 before &DK1 answered hope you can repost

DK can you please tell us the hugh progress achieved by the board. All I've seen is unharmony, disarray, mistakes. Pedro, the Mc Innes saga, the overdraft facility oops another loan, the takeover panel verdict, DK statement before the semi telling GM doesn't matter if you win your not getting the job, AJ ahead of the curve and more court appearances than Andy Murray. That's just some of the the off the field incidents and don't let me get started about on the field ones. So where the hugh progress DK

25 Apr 2018 08:56:26
Mull

1. We are still trading despite continuing to run at a loss each season
2. We are 10 points shy of Celtic and have had chances to match them this season
3. Serious money has been invested in Ibrox
4. Serious investment at Auchenhowie
5. We have a coaching and scouting set up
6. We have brought in a serious DOF to build the squad for the future (not just for the next result)
7. We have got rid of Ashley and his asset stripping pals
8. We have a kit deal that will earn more than 5p for our club
9. We are now in a position where we can issue more shares to attract serious investors that want to see the club successful
10. The club is near a position where there might be alternatives the King with money.

Top 10 improvements that mean that we will be playing in the same league next season and have an improved playing squad that should get even closer to Celtic

If that’s not progress for you, you must have green tinted specs!

25 Apr 2018 09:00:31
DK17 well said whilst the current board are NOT great they are 100% better than the last and OFF the field have done relatively well. If only they could appoint a decent Manager is that asking for to much :-)

25 Apr 2018 10:37:22
1)we are now only trading with the help of Close brothers loan secured against everything but Ibrox stadium and Auchenhowie
2)main reason they are worse this season 7 home defeats
3)name the projects, I can't see great investment
4)as above
5) yes we are better off than before
6)5 on loan players is that our future
7)agreed but your name sake has used some amount of money in personal court appearances then admitted he paid Ashley to leave
8)lets wait and see the audited accounts
9)No we are not takeover panel will stop us til King makes his offer
10) Name names
Not green tinted glasses but the truth DK17

25 Apr 2018 11:40:26
Mull at it again with the 'charlatan board' suggested posts.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, you're 100% one of them.

25 Apr 2018 11:46:22
Isle of Mull how much of the loan facility have rangers used from close brothers

25 Apr 2018 11:49:14
Its nice to see a post with a bit of positivity DK17. After all the doom and gloom recently its good to look at the bigger picture. Your 10 reasons are spot on imo.

25 Apr 2018 12:31:30
Another massive positive is the progress of the youth teams. Lots of youth internationals now, and they’re getting some excellent results.

25 Apr 2018 12:53:50
Things are better than they were but this season could've been so much better. Although investment has been made, a lot seems to have been wasted. Pena, Herrera etc. Relying on loans on and off the park isn't exactly ideal either

25 Apr 2018 08:23:02
I guess one positive which came out of the Hibs v Celtic result is that it has removed the possible problem of Rangers players being put in the position of lining up to applaud the Champions-elect onto the field of play as is tradition.
Before everyone has a go, it is a tradition and if the players did it then they and the board would be trashed by many of their own supporters and if they didn't, then the players and board would be trashed by Celtic and msm. The Hibs result has removed that no-win situation at least.

25 Apr 2018 08:51:30
Stay off the glue mate

25 Apr 2018 09:50:40
LDM17, not sure what you mean. Was my comment wrong?
It is a tradition so where did I err?

25 Apr 2018 10:29:35
Rangers were NEVER giving Celtic a guard of honour tradition or not. Hibs refused to give Rangers one and I don’t recall any uproar. Its a non story.

25 Apr 2018 10:30:13
You are correct password- opponents applaud new champions at their first home game after winning the title - as recently as last week Falkirk did this for StMirren - which was why Morton did not have to do this at St mirrens next home game - long standing tradition-

25 Apr 2018 19:32:07
afcw191 thanks for the verification, and your comment supports my point about removing any issue.
LDM17 - Why not? I this club above following traditions? I for one would have no problems as it goes against what they want and expect. It shows the club have decency and integrity which many accuse the old regime of not having.
Break the mould, restart afresh, show that this club is not petty. Or is that not true? Is it really same old bitterness?

Review Of The Day 25th April 2018

25 Apr 2018 08:14:52
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 25th April 2018

25 Apr 2018 07:41:24
Surely we cannot be appointing SG. We cannot afford another gamble. I'd sign him however if he was bringing his boots with him.

Please to read that we are in advanced talks for McGregor. Wes has done well but he doesn't inspire confidence.

25 Apr 2018 09:49:18
Why are you talking in code?

24 Apr 2018 23:25:44
Great to see a statement from the club criticising the edinburgh mhanks decision to halve our allocation for the final league game. And also our barbed comment about bearing this in mind when considering tickets both home and away in the future. At last we are growing a pair. Let's boycott all away games and cut every team's allocation for Ibrox. They all forget that our fans always have sent more fans than any other. This has been going on since I was a boy and it is time we stopped it. Roll up to Ibrox in huge numbers but boycott all other grounds. Hopefully it will hit these vlubs hard in the pocket.

25 Apr 2018 06:41:15
Nothing wrong with what they are doing in looking after their own fans first so if they can split a stand in two and hearts done it too remember, why can't we? We should be looking after Rangers fans first and foremost.

25 Apr 2018 09:43:44
Seeker I put post on here couple of seasons ago about boycotting away games and was shot down. that's what should happen it's the only way we can respond to the utter contempt shown to the club by every other team in Scotland.

25 Apr 2018 10:30:56
Yes let's boycott away grounds. And stop our fans from the enjoyment of supporting our team, and stop our players from getting the support from the fans at away grounds. that is not the Rangers way of doing things, what a stupid idea

25 Apr 2018 10:40:35
Seeker, where you one of the people screaming for the Celtic allocation at Ibrox to be slashed?
Just asking.

25 Apr 2018 12:01:29
Aye, but not screaming about it! Why do you ask styab? And jetmayfair, maybe it's you that's stupid when you continue to fund clubs who wanted us to cease to exist. Think about that for a minute.

25 Apr 2018 16:09:14
Seeker, if we were to take up your suggestion then the logical conclusion would be no Rangers fans at any away games so presumably that involves domestic and European games. yes let's really punish the supporters and the team not to mention turning everyone against us

26 Apr 2018 12:00:38
Do Hibs even get 1500 when they play us at Ibrox?

24 Apr 2018 22:52:58
What's all this talk of supporters not renewing their season tickets? Whatever happened to we don't do walking away.
Have a word with yourselves and remember we should be supporting our team through thick and thin!

25 Apr 2018 07:32:52
Yeh that was ally who said that, then he walked away

25 Apr 2018 07:54:03
£700 and never being offered a move despite requesting it for 4 years running.

I'm not renewing

25 Apr 2018 08:03:32
Loyalty goes both ways, respect is earned not automatic.
SDM let the club and supporters down. Short-term glory for long-term misery.
Since SDM walked away (imo he did, for £1.00) it has been crook and swindler after crook and swindler.
Whyte? . well we know what rhymes with that, 'nuff said.
The Yank, a successful businessman, made the best offer but it went to Green (That was a great bit of business by the admins) Mind you, some supporters would not have him as he was not a Rangers Man That worked out well for the club.
Ally did not walk away, he was removed. Great player, not so good manager.

The only ones who have been constant are the supporters.

25 Apr 2018 20:01:38
As far as I am aware ez if you spot a seat vacant that you want and request it it's not a prob? . too many people forget what supporting a football team is all about . hi s and lows. true support is wgats needed not glory hunters

24 Apr 2018 22:30:49
If we win on Sunday at full time I want Graham Murty to plant a Rangers flag into the halfway line.

25 Apr 2018 07:22:52
A Union Flag would be just fine, but he'll be to busy holding brenda's hand up the tunnel!

25 Apr 2018 12:12:04
Sadly FTW I think your right. Giving him a big cuddle

25 Apr 2018 20:03:16
Brilliant Chris exactly no much talk in the press about broom or the other wee neds antics
