Yesterdays performance was great but we really need to put games to bed long before 88mins. We controlled the game and Hearts did not pose much threat when they had the ball, but with 30mins to go you could feel the crowd getting nervous. One thing I noticed about the crowd was lots of negativity, get off the players backs and support them. we need to instill confidence in our players and we will not do this by slating them. We have the makings of a great side and I would love to see this team start next season together at Ibrox.

I am hoping Murty gives Doherty the job of getting in Brown's face for 90mins on the 11th, the boy looks like being a steal and I get the impression if you give him a job to do he will stick to it and not let Murty down.

One last thing, get Murty signed up for next season now, don't wait until the end of the season because clubs down south will be sniffing about if he continues to develop this team the way he has. He has worked wonders and it is clear as day that the players respect him. Get a two year contract in front of him now and watch us win the league next year.

BazzaBear, i'm in FULL agreement with your post mate! I sit in the copland stand and have done for 40 years now and everyone around me, obviously including myself, thought greg docherty had a superb game, against hearts on saturday, as did the majority of our team! This young midfielder has everything required in his locker, to go on to play at the highest level, imho! He has a terrific engine, very strong and powerful, can pass the ball and covers every blade of grass! A pure box to box central midfielder! I echo your statement by instructing docherty to be all over scott brown, like a rash! I honestly think, without being biased here, that young docherty is very capable of over running brown! He's a supremely fit lad! I've also said on here many, many times, to give graeme murty, the rangers permanent manager's job NOW! He's doing a very good job and in every way, certainly impressed me, greatly! Your correct by saying that some clubs in england are casting an eye to how well murty has started, as rangers manager! There was a report last week, in one of the london newspapers, that murty's old club reading, where he played for many years, were close to sacking their current manager jaap stam and murty was rumoured to be the manager their board wanted, to be the new reading manager! He's very highly thought of at reading football club!

26 Feb 2018 07:54:07
Supercooper

When it comes to newspapers all that’s you can really believe is the date on them.

26 Feb 2018 07:55:33
Even with the affiliation that Murty has with Reading, I think its very hard to see him leaving us to go to there.

26 Feb 2018 08:33:57
I agree with you ArthurD, regarding you can't always take as gospel, anything that's written in newspapers mate! I'm only sharing with all on here what the paper did report, last week! that's all i was doing mate!

26 Feb 2018 09:33:45
Fair enough coop but think Murty comes across as a very decent guy and doesn’t strike me as a guy who will leave Rangers anytime soon.

26 Feb 2018 09:42:03
The praise for Murty is merited and he's showing a bit of mettle in not giving Miller a free pass back into the starting 11. Needs to do the same with Wallace. We'll see how good he is from results till the end of the season but someone deserves a lot of credit for the January signings. We're a much better team and if it is down to Mark Allan, then full credit to him.

26 Feb 2018 09:45:36
Good performance and got the result that was needed. What impressed me was energy levels and Goss, doc, tav, John, windass just to name a few seem really fit. Murty doing a great job. Get him signed up ASAP. Can't help but think where would be if Murty had all season. We are on the right path and with the right men in Murty and allen.

26 Feb 2018 12:52:00
JJKgers, totally agree that the players look a lot fitter. I think the general fitness levels have increased greatly since Pedro’s departure which in turn is creating energy throughout the team - credit to Murty and his staff for making these improvements. Not saying Pedro had the boys on the kebab diet but for me there’s a marked improvement in fitness.

26 Feb 2018 13:00:28
I wonder if Kevin Thomson having a go at cummings and holt has gave some players a kick up backside? Happy work environment prob means players happy to stay and train longer. Whereas under Pedro prob just left ASAP after training. I might be wrong but players definetlty look a lot fitter. Nicholl won't accept any pish either.

26 Feb 2018 18:26:05
The boy goss looks a player. If only we could get him signed up for next season but qpr don't look like they will sell. Pity.

26 Feb 2018 18:28:18
Fellow Bears ---- just watched our managers Presser --- I don't think I can ever recall any manager lately been so impressive in manner, attitude and so "in charge" of the whole interview.
It may be early days to back him beyond this season as our permanent manager but, in tandem with Mark Allen, I think next season we could be up there challenging again for that top spot.

25 Feb 2018 19:31:56
Billy Davies or Minnie's bit of moot point because we got the best of them in murty by some way.

25 Feb 2018 19:20:30
Looks like the title is over now! The dhims actually won at a canter, thank goodness we didn't get that bottler mcinnes.

25 Feb 2018 20:05:44
It's not over until the fat lady sings mate. Anything can happen. All we can do is win our games and wait and see.

25 Feb 2018 22:57:01
Here we go again Billy Blue. McInnes bottled it. What position was Derek McInnes playing today? He didn't bottle it. If anything it would be his players who bottled it . I don't believe they bottled it either. Celtic are just a better team. simple. gonnae Gez peace with the bottled it p. h! Are West Ham bottlers for continually getting pumped at Anfield or r Liverpool just better? Derek McInnes turned us down. get over it. Either because he didn't want a DOF or he didn't like our financial situation. u lot carry on with the bottled version tho ehh. sounds better when your talkin to your Celtic pals at work!

26 Feb 2018 00:49:01
Won at a canter? Are you serious? Second half was Aberdeen’s game for the taking but they didn’t convert. They bottled as per.

I hope Lustig is not suspended for the Old Firm game because I fancy our chances with Murphy running at him.

Nothing about Celtic today got me particularly worried and tbh it’s been a long time coming since I’ve felt that leading up to an Old Firm game. Tierney and Forrest are the obvious threats, but we’ve got our own also.

Looking forward to the coming games.

26 Feb 2018 08:00:04
Dutch

Have West Ham lost their last 10 games against Liverpool? McInnes has a shocking record against Rodgers probably the worst in the league, he has also lost 3 against Murty. Even going back a few seasons when Delia was in charge Aberdeen kept losing big games when it looked like they might have challenged a truly awful Celtic team. His team under him does seem to have a major issue with big games. When was the last time Aberdeen lost 10 games in a row to Celtic?

26 Feb 2018 13:03:39
I thought Aberdeen played well from highlights just couldn't finish any chance they had. Murphy and windass will tear celtic defense apart if they play like that at Ibrox. I do expect celtic to move up the gears in games now they are out of Europe. Should be a very close game.

26 Feb 2018 18:08:10
Don't let any of the Tims kid you - they are still unsure of their team. Looking back the sheep was probably the best opponent for them to get a result from. McInnes is fast gaining a reputation for assuming the position for his pal, Brenda. This dhim team is pretty hopeless tbh. I lost count of the number of times they gave possession away, especially peanut head. The problem being the sheep are too useless to capitalise on their mistakes. Also Simunovoc, Ajer and Lustig are real scares

25 Feb 2018 18:34:54
On reflection I reckon we're on to plums now. Sealing second and the cup is now the priority. Still think we will take them at Ibrox at least!

25 Feb 2018 20:38:54
Beat them at ibrox. 2nd in league and win the cup would in my view be good progress.

26 Feb 2018 18:02:30
Aye I think it is a big ask now. Pity as well as they were definitely there for the taking today. Typical sheep capitulation. Makes you wonder what would have happened if Murty had been given the same backing money-wise as Pedro during pre season. All we can do now is try and win every game and see what happens

25 Feb 2018 15:33:05
nice to see McInnes at his max level, wow that was a near thing, but thankfully we got Murty, the gentleman, instead.
Still early days but what comes out of Murty's mouth is honesty, dedication and damned good man management. My money is on keeping him on permanently.
Auchenhowie looks a happy place again after a couple of rubbish managers.

25 Feb 2018 16:01:52
Yea and that was McInnes before the game, what a wossy

25 Feb 2018 18:20:47
I said it b4 and il say it again we dodged a bullet with mcinnes! He is bang average. never lays a glove on the rotten mob! In murty we trust.

25 Feb 2018 16:25:54
Well said, Murty’s Blue and white army! Come on bears keep believing

25 Feb 2018 15:22:42
So the sheep have bottled it again. Anyone else agree it was a blessing in disguise that McInnes knocked us back?

25 Feb 2018 15:29:38
I was surprised the amount of people on here even thinking they had a chance of getting something. In fact Aberdeen were exactly the team Rodgers would have wanted to play after a Euro disaster. McInnes must have the worst record of all the SPFL managers against Rodgers. We did dodge a bullet not getting him

25 Feb 2018 17:18:57
Hi ArthurD. I was one of those believers who thought Aberdeen would beat Celtic today. How wrong can i be! I guess it was wishful thinking. Just shows you how poor Aberdeen are against Celtic as they were pretty much average, again!

25 Feb 2018 17:38:06
Watched for a little while, I too am very glad Mcinnes didn't come our way. Aberdeen looked like a team going through the motions of a last match of the season, with nothing at stake, unbelieveable. We need to keep our current run going, leave those behind us chasing, and put more pressure on the tic

25 Feb 2018 18:10:19
Career suicide for McInnis he says unfinished business is the reason well derek mate enjoy watching your team fail as we are going the right way and are a much better side than that lot with much more quality

25 Feb 2018 19:50:50
100%. What a clueless man!
Thank God we never got him.

25 Feb 2018 14:44:29
Listening to sheep V unclean and this is worst game sheep have played all season. Apart from boy from Man City sheep can hang head in shame. But the up side is Celtic might be winning but playing rubbish also.

25 Feb 2018 15:20:47
Watching the game, they are there for the taking at Ibrox

25 Feb 2018 16:49:24
Ha ha ha ha. cannot wait to come here in two weeks and see the comments then.

25 Feb 2018 17:02:52
Neither can we wait yernawsbaws! We'll see my friend!

25 Feb 2018 18:31:11
Typical Aberdeen v celtic. Free money when they play. Aberdeen just don't turn up. I think we beat celtic at Ibrox. We're bang on form just need to keep winning and grow confidence going into old firm.

25 Feb 2018 22:44:04
See we shall.

26 Feb 2018 05:57:56
I'll tell you one thing yernawsbaws,
your captain gutty mouth, broony the loony, WON'T get it so easy against young greg docherty! Mark my words my friend! To coin your phrase "SEE WE SHALL"! I'll stand to be corrected on this!

25 Feb 2018 14:35:08
If Alves fit can't see him not playing against unclean. Best centre we have imo.

25 Feb 2018 14:11:35
the sheep bottled it again poor poor side mciness tactics all wrong no pressing and giving the unwashed far to much time shocking.

25 Feb 2018 14:50:09
Totally with you here queens11!Derek mcinnes hasn't got it in big must win games! God we totally dodged a bullet with him turning down the chance to become our manager! For that i thank delboy mcinnes! I stayed all along on these pages, that derek mcinnes was never the correct choice in a month of sunday's, to be the glasgow rangers manager! Can't believe there was a good few who actually thought he should have been our manager!

25 Feb 2018 15:24:43
Supercoop you were gushing for billy davies who was the worst shout of them all. But yes thank god mcinnes said no👍

25 Feb 2018 15:30:38
I would rather have Davies than McInnes

25 Feb 2018 16:09:02
Listen coldo, wee billy davies is a planet ahead of delboy mcinnes as a manager! Davies has forgot more about management than mcinnes will ever know! Check their records out in management for yourself! NO contest my friend! Yes i do rate billy davies as a manager! Practically EVERY journalist and football critic does! Thoroughbred and donkey comes to mind!

25 Feb 2018 17:07:01
Listen supercoop, davies is a pleb. Remind me again who he manages? Naw wait, he's not had a gig for the last for years cause no one will touch him with a barge pole. Aye your right horse and donkey do come to mind, its a dead heat between you and davies to see who gets labelled donkey.

25 Feb 2018 18:26:54
Lmao I shouted in favour of McInnis and with our resources he may have done a decent job but he never be instead decided to stay at aberdeen which to me showed lack of ambition which is something murty has in spades i Am Happy he didn't Come as lack of ambition is Something That A rangers MAnager Should NEVer hAVe
Also Davies Would Have Flopped Aswell Lol

25 Feb 2018 18:46:02
Murty is a blessing, just wish we had gave him the job instead of pedro.

25 Feb 2018 19:54:33
McInnes has found his level at the sheep, tactically naive, his arse goes when the big games come. Considering the squad he's had up there and the fact Gers, hibs, hearts haven't been as strong the last few years, I think he's underachieved.
I don't think we'd be sitting second or signed the boy's we did in January if he had become manager

25 Feb 2018 19:56:15
We just need Murty to convert our guys to winning v the likes of St Johnstone, etc at Ibrox. Once we have that mentality again, we’ll be a very good team. Yesterday was a taster.

25 Feb 2018 20:25:58
Coldo, i really do think if you look into currently WHY billy davies isn't in employment is because he's currently in a legal situation with nottingham forest ya muppet! You calling anyone a donkey is laughable! You think derek mcinnes is a better manager than billy davies! As taggart would say "YA DUNDERHEED"!

25 Feb 2018 21:16:37
Supercoop, has billy davies got pictures of you or something? The guy is a pleb that's why no one wants him. As delboy would say, "have a day off" ya muppet.

25 Feb 2018 21:23:30
Another thing supercoop, why were you touting his name for us if, as you put it, he is unemployed because of a legal battle? You are implying that he can't work because of this legal battle. Ya muppet.

25 Feb 2018 21:27:00
Let's stop the mud slinging guys.
Nobody comes out of it looking good.

25 Feb 2018 21:35:42
No wonder only a game, this guy suggests a pleb davies yet slates those who suggest mcinnes. Yes I admit that we got a lucky escape with mcinnes but to take the moral high ground after suggesting davies is laughable. Whether or not davies is in a legal battle is not the reason he has been unemployed for the last 4 years otherwise why suggest him for the rangers job? He is unemployed because no one rates him.

25 Feb 2018 22:04:00
I've been close to posting insults on here on a couple of times but I hate seen squabbling and name calling amongst our own. Argue your points and express frustration but it's obviously better (I know it's hard some times) if we keep it civilized.

25 Feb 2018 22:39:42
Coldo take a chill pill! Hook, line and sinker comes to mind! You my friend started the mud slinging, so you have a word with yourself! I don't give a hoo haa what you think my friend! Whether you think delboy mcinnes is a better manager than billy davies is up to you! The proof is there in front of you that he AIN'T! Pleb you say! I know who the pleb is! Hope you're not near a mirror! Now do ONE and check out BOTH their managerial records before coming on here bumping your gums!

26 Feb 2018 18:03:29
I agree Coldo. Wonder what position we'd have been in if Murty had been given the pre season backing Pedro had received

26 Feb 2018 18:23:26
Davies is a paranoid arrogant pleb who refers to himself as the 3rd person. He is on the verge of a mental breakdown. He goes on about a smear campaign against him where he believes people were paid to slate him. He won't take a job that's beneath him like hearts Dundee united, lower league english teams, his own words no mine. Yet he applied for the hearts job and pulled out after he made a mess of himself in the interview.

The guy is an absolute moon howler. He won the championship playoff, that's it! Then took 6 points from a possible 42 points/ first 14 premier league games before he was sacked. Which remains the worst premier league record ever. He claims to have spent over 100k on a lawyer to gather evidence of a smear campaign over 3.5 years. Well coldo thinks that Davies should sack the lawyer and go see a doctor. Does Coldo think that Davies is a muppet? Yes, yes he does.

26 Feb 2018 18:25:39
Just google "billy davies smear campaign" and you'll find all the evidence you need to know that this guy is a pleb. Never rangers class in a million years.

25 Feb 2018 13:30:23
I'll completely agree with this though easier said than done. Hererra rather stinks, Kenny past it, the other one no good and that leaves us Cummings and Morellos. still to gel. Another striker of quality would wipe out any Morelos transfer funding but would like hard attacker with Cummings with bit of skill and nous. Though returning to initial point, a player of this class is difficult to find

25 Feb 2018 21:02:18
Your forgetting Jo Dodoo great natural finisher and st least as good as Morelos and Cummings. Get Dondoo back in the first team squad and we can win the final quater and win the Scottish cup

25 Feb 2018 12:11:48
Feel difficult to judge Cummings so quickly. Perhaps it's our desperate need to overtake unclean. I remember Mcoist first season when he was rank rotten.

25 Feb 2018 16:30:39
I think he has done ok with the limited game time he's had so far. I'd actually play him just behind Morelos as I think he is good at holding the ball up and bringing the midfielders in as well as linking up with a striker.

25 Feb 2018 09:22:32
Best I've seen rangers playing in a long time. Just want to say that I'm behind Murty now. Sell the wee Colombian and buy a hardcore striker. Just imagine a Jelavic or Cousin in this team! Different gravy.

25 Feb 2018 12:28:48
really, and where woukd we get50m to buy one. even if we sold him for 10m what kind of player would that but, nothing better imo.

25 Feb 2018 12:35:32
Think you could buy decent striker with money we get if we sell him Morelos only cost £1million

25 Feb 2018 19:55:02
Jelavic was great. Think you've got the rose tinted glasses on regarding cousin though!

25 Feb 2018 09:08:17
For me barring any injuries, the rangers team that started against hearts yesterday, should be the same team, to start against celtic imo!
Ie. foderingham
tavernier, bates, martin, john
docherty, goss
candeias, windass, murphy
morelos
Thoughts bears?

25 Feb 2018 09:31:04
Was thinking the same yesterday coop - a was that happy with that team performance a was trying to look for negatives but bar windass having a shocker thought we were top notch - for the old firm a think Murty will put holt back in - for me though it would be same team although am still no 100% confident with Bates a knowvits a big discussion on here a lot but if his head and fitness are right as have alves back in there.

Onwards and upwards bears seems to be a real togetherness and spirit there now something we’ve lacked with last few managers!

25 Feb 2018 09:40:37
Let's beat St. Johnstone first then Falkirk in the Cup, then start preparing for the manky mob!

25 Feb 2018 10:14:42
I’m thinking he's going to go with a back 5, 2 in the middle and 3 up top. only problem with this is would probably be Windass to drop out and it doesn’t look like that will happen

25 Feb 2018 18:31:12
Windass is like markings u love him or hate him but he is a dangerous player when he runs at defences but he needs to work harder off the ball to become a top player for me he has all the attributes but his decision making at times just baffled me and is quite greedy at times

25 Feb 2018 08:24:23
Impressive performance yesterday
I thought Docherty played really well - hopefully he can develop into a top top player
I know not everyone on here sees McBurnie as a good signing but I certainly do
That's him with 3 in 2 games in the championship and his under 20 scoring is amazing
Out of contract this summer so a no brainier for me
Could do with a really good quality centre half in the summer as well
Feeling much more optimistic recently.

25 Feb 2018 10:16:02
I think Mcburnie has a year left after the summer sure he signed a extension last season?

25 Feb 2018 10:32:20
Just saw an old newspaper report saying it’s its 2019 it runs out
I was going by the transfermarkt site info
I guess if Swansea go down they might off load others and keep him
Let’s hope not - would him at Ibrox

25 Feb 2018 07:29:20
So Lennon's not happy about the refereeing against Hibs. Was he not at Ibrox their last two visits when Stokes got Jack red carded and Scott Allan fell for his penalty?

25 Feb 2018 08:34:18
He didn’t say much about the stone wall penalty for us at Easter road either
Lennons a clown 🤡

25 Feb 2018 08:55:56
Jack got his red card overturned and it was a pen a soft 1 but a pen, Lennon is a moan always will be who cares about Lennon or hibs! Not even worth a mention imo

25 Feb 2018 01:39:32
Anyone startin to get pissed off with morelos throwing his name about for a move down south after not even completing a season with us. Its like he thinks he's bigger thn us already. And tht greetin face he constantly pulls through the game and when he's getting took off. If another 10+ bid comes in we should just accept.

I know what most will say he's thetop scorer and all tht but we could easily teplace him with cummings and half of the 10 million lol

If he wants to go let him

25 Feb 2018 07:58:20
I just think he is an ambitious young footballer who is always striving to get better most people would love to play down in the premier league and if he get the club 10M+ then I would be happy to let him go.

25 Feb 2018 08:12:24
watching the game on RTV it was stated Mark Hatetey would like to give Morelos tips on his heading ability, a good shout for me.

25 Feb 2018 08:20:05
I couldn’t care less what he says i hope he does land in the premiership as then he will have played well for us and make us some money, we need to understand we are a selling club if the right bid comes in for any of our players they are off, replace him with Cummings don’t be silly he is nowhere near the player Morelos is

25 Feb 2018 09:45:16
i guarantee you cummings loan spell will be mediocre, he will not be at rangers next season

25 Feb 2018 10:18:33
Would he walk of it the huff if Walter was the manager very much doubt he would starting the next game anyway

25 Feb 2018 11:50:28
Exactly boab he runs about the whole game with tht face on him lol

25 Feb 2018 16:25:19
Is he throwing his name about? I like him but he's not the finished article yet. That's why I struggle with the idea he's worth £10m+
Yesterday was a good result, really like how we attack now, they could all work on their shooting / heading though!
