Tav is not great at defending, constantly getting caught on the wrong side also looked a bit slow, he will need to sharpen up a lot.

26 Jan 2016 00:03:05
Terrible defending fae him, one cross he stopped, I think sometimes he allows them to cross it cause he thinks it'll get mopped up, (is he forgetting the goals are in the 18yd box) there and then we build from the back n counter. Aye that might work for fkn Barcelona n Real Madrid but not at cappielow.

We looked an ordinary rangers team the night. Not a good performance, but the rocket needs fired ready for Sat. Only positive was it wisnae raining, webbed feet up by tae!

26 Jan 2016 00:33:02
Desperately needing a tough holding midfield player and please pull out the stops for o Hall orange!

26 Jan 2016 09:48:01
We just won 2-0 last night and people r still moaning, great win, these are the wins that win u a title, what people should b moaning about is hallidays sending off, that was the worst decision iv seen for a long time, and we can't do nothing about it, pure joke.

25 Jan 2016 22:10:32
Thought wee Barry was excellent tonight and for those that say he has no pace!
I know Andy Hallidays second card was very harsh but I have been watching Andy recently and he is getting too involved, with referees, and the crowd, we know you have blue blood Andy but please just concentrate on the game.

25 Jan 2016 23:46:16
I agree about McKay, he's getting better every week a think. Thought he looked as if he could do a job through the middle as well to mix it up a bit. Finishing is also improving. I think Halliday has been really unlucky to be sent off twice, he's not that type of player.

26 Jan 2016 09:55:35
Wee Mckay is getting better and better every time I see him, you can see he has a belief and confidence in himself that was lacking before under previous regimes.

25 Jan 2016 21:35:22
Halliday gets sent aff for celebrating wtf ref wasn't over at the morton fans doing it ****.

25 Jan 2016 21:50:40
The linesman said he made a gesture of some description towards the Morton fans. I was cursing him at first but he done nothing wrong. Two yellows, nothing can be done about it.

25 Jan 2016 22:06:22
That's 1 of the worst sending offs I've seen in a while! Laughable, at least the bears dug in and ground out the result! Great finish by mckay for the 2nd.

25 Jan 2016 23:51:53
Lads c'mon i'm sorry but a have to say it, that was silly from Halliday! Don't give them the chance to sack a gers player, cause they'll no think twice. I thought he had learnt his lesson having to sit in the dressing room for 20 mins during the hibs game, (cause that was needles and wrong albeit) but no he needs another 20 to ponder (again needless, wrong maybe but gave the ref the choice) Sometimes the hair dryer needs tae get launched not sure it does in that changing room cause that's no good enough. Must learn this time!

26 Jan 2016 07:03:17
All Halliday done was celebrate from middle of the park yes he pumped his fist then turned to gers fans and celebrated a bit more. when morton got a point aff us at ibrox they went daft like they had won and Cummings scored against us then he was running past our fans with his hand at his ear did anything happen no its football u want our players to score then just run bk to the opposition kicking off like nothing happens I want to see tht passion when we score as long as your not right at the opposite fans doing it or calling them names or fingers anything offensive then it's fine he done nothing wrong.

26 Jan 2016 10:00:32
bigcog I totally agree, football is getting swallowed up by the PC brigade, Halliday celebrated a goal which won the game from the centre of the park! Ridiculous yellow card, even Alan "get it round the gers" Stubbs agreed he'd be "very Disappointed" if one of his players received a card for that.

Some Refs need to take a serious look at themselves.

{Ed001's Note - I have watched it a few times and the only thing I can think of is that the ref mistook the raised fist as a Gareth Hunt making coffee salute. For those of a younger generation who have never seen the Hunt Nescafe ads, you might want to watch and wonder how he got away with it for years!}

26 Jan 2016 00:14:16
In all the years I've followed the football that must be the worst sending off I've ever witnessed, a clenching off fist to celebrate, what next a sending off for holding your head in despair after missing a sitter cmon. that decision was a reality check what we are fighting against in the inner sanctions of Scottish fitbaw.

25 Jan 2016 22:16:46
Rangers can appeal and defo will appeal, I am sure because the two yellows were for completely different offences that he can appeal, he did not run to the Morton supporters end and do this, he can say he was celebrating the teams goal, or gesturing to our own keeper.

Yes he was a bit peaved off with the Morton guys after the Ibrox game however it would be hard to prove there was any malice in his celebration, we will appeal due to the fact its Falkirk up next.

25 Jan 2016 21:20:32
Zelalem is a talented youngster, but he just doesn't cut it for me, said this before. He's too easily knocked off his game and at 18 I don't think he's quite up to the hustle bustle of this league.
Sorry but I'm glad he is not one of our own players and will go back south at the end of the season.

25 Jan 2016 22:32:07
wee bill totally spot on, said before too lightweight, powder puff shooting, give me an Albertz anyday.

26 Jan 2016 00:19:05
Might be good in a few years when he adjusts to life in football, he'll not play for Arsenal, not willing to get hurt, put a foot in, every shot on goal lacks belief, belief that he can actually score, some1 just tell him, Fk it just have a real go and get stuck right in there. Getting pulled off in the 57 minute, warbs usually goes 60 but he obv could not watch any more of that.

26 Jan 2016 07:28:05
He doesn't have a tackle in him, he is slow, he wasted almost every pass he made, he doesn't shoot, is easily pushed off the ball, and is at least a yard behind everyone else.
Why is he here again? Even worsecwhy is he getting a game most weeks?

25 Jan 2016 21:38:48
He's ok on a bowling green of a surface in the summer. Not Greenock on a freezin Monday night.

25 Jan 2016 19:45:56
The live real time link isn't working.

{Ed033's Note - Sorry, it is open now

25 Jan 2016 20:25:11
Very shaky and sloppy start, young zal comfortable on the ball it's when it leaves his feet his problems start, wee mckay far more effective down the left, one plus law continues to impress, oh 1.0 to the people happy after all 😆.

25 Jan 2016 20:40:24
Yes indeed we are not doing too well. Miller is a last 30 minute and definitely not a starter. In past two games has missed/ stopped more goals than he has scored.
Our defence weakness is specifically Tavernier who has no idea of defensive tackling and hence why so many yellow cards etc. Law is superior in every way except when Tav is on target which now a days is not very often.

25 Jan 2016 21:12:13
Kenny Miller has been our most dangerous player! definately missed Jason Holt in midfield though. Our passing has let us down a bit with a few players giving the ball away cheaply. Hopefully we can still finish strongly.

25 Jan 2016 21:43:37
Salen he scored the first is that 4 in 4 what more do you want? Against Livvy he was our most dangerous player for an hour. Wee Barry on it again well done the Rangers.

25 Jan 2016 21:48:16
Kenny Miller, Man of the Match on BT and with both Boydy and Stubbs! What can I say, opinions.

25 Jan 2016 22:13:19
Barry Mckay had another good game, deserved goal and made great choices when pushed to do so. Some players have evidently dropped off their full pace but he has definitely improved game after game. Shocking decision to yellow card Halliday for celebration?

25 Jan 2016 20:16:20

25 Jan 2016 20:55:25
Tav having a shocker.

25 Jan 2016 21:21:57
One rule for everyone else and another one for The Rangers! What a ridiculous sending off - Unbelievable - What a sham when referees are resorting to the lowest of the low to yellow card a player which has ultimately led to a second bookable offence - The referee was gunning for Halliday - A disgrace, - very poor - Takes the edge of a good hard earned 3 points - Maybe I'm just miffed because it happened to one of our own - but that decision takes the biscuit -.

25 Jan 2016 22:04:53
Without doubt one of the worst sendings off I've ever seen almost as comical as the sending off of Arsenal player wrongly identified by all the inept officials, Halli never left the field of play, he certainly wasn't inciting a riot, as was mentioned in commentary, there wasn't enough morton fans for that if he wanted trouble he could've waited outside for the half a dozen morton fans as they came out, pretty sure it will be rescinded, but not the case one day this ineptitude will cost us. On a happier note well done the Bears and especially wee mckay if we can afford to keep hold of him in the coming years we have the makings of a legend.

26 Jan 2016 00:02:02
Sotonbear, watching him come deeper then running at the defenders was a joy to watch, great goal .

25 Jan 2016 18:59:47
I know why we support our team but come on bears its time to get real now dk is a lying little . Telling us what we want to hear to get through the door. I have said it before and i will say it again he's after him money he lost when sir dm was in charge.

25 Jan 2016 19:47:30
Hallet according to keith jackson (1 of Kings biggest critics) king has already put 7 million in the club. Until these court cases are finished nobody will put in anything but soft loans to keep us ticking over. And how an earth is he going to get his 20 million back.

25 Jan 2016 20:16:12
Hooly, there is no way that dk has put £7m into our club, outwith his share purchase. ------ Guaranteed.

25 Jan 2016 20:31:50
Just going by what I read billyb according to jackson new board has put in 15 million he also says what must people say on here that he needs to do more.

25 Jan 2016 20:44:04
Work it out, Hooly. Take the season ticket money, other income and soft loans from others, then add £15m.
Have we spent that amount, I would say no way, but we need to wait on the accounts to clarify.
Being non listed could prove very convenient, do you not agree?

25 Jan 2016 20:46:17
Hooly78 he's after something then cause it ain't putting us back where we belong and to me it all about filling his pockets with whos ever offering cash to fill them. Time will tell eh.

25 Jan 2016 21:04:32
Billyb I'm not 1 of kings followers I'm just telling u what I read your right we would need to see the accounts to prove it 1 way are the other. I said a month ago who ever done the best business in transfer window would win the league I stick by that and hibs have done the best so far. If we're sitting here next week still without ohalleron are at least 1 new player king and the rest of the board will have a lot of questions to answer. Hallet were skint so I'd like to no what he's going to line his pockets with.

25 Jan 2016 22:28:27
Gents its not being non listed, who on earth would be a nomad for a company with a director with Mr Kings previous problems. The stock exchange rules are very strict and every time DK appears from SA he is on tv spouting a load of nonsense
I do support the full board and hope DK is who he claims to be.

We all know it needs cash and lots of it and DK keeps blabbing on about front ended required for cash now.
King needs to explain his game. I am concerned one day we find out DK has a net wealth of £10million and he is holding on to every last penny.

Is it just me or do others think Monday night football should be scrapped, seems like forever since we played.
It's going to be a wet and windy night were an early goal is needed let's go out and pump the Greenock celtic!

25 Jan 2016 17:42:40
It's wet and windy most days in Glasgow lol. But I agree with you Monday night football is murder especially when you need to get in from work have your tea then head to the game.

25 Jan 2016 19:22:17
not a fan of Monday night stuff, nor Friday nights either. there's plenty of time available on Saturdays and sundays to fit in televised matches, but there is very little atmosphere or enthusiasm for Friday and monday.

25 Jan 2016 20:24:09
Television has ruined live football, in my opinion. I remember going to watch a game v Aberdeen, at Ibrox, on a Friday night, and being reminded by my son that was every day of the week we had played, that season.

25 Jan 2016 15:52:50
First post on here, wondering what we think the likelihood of getting anyone in, even windass and crooks in this transfer window. Think we have been a bit stale in some games, running out of ideas. Would like to see another personality in the team to change it up.

25 Jan 2016 16:19:57
Its Just Far Too Quiet Now Mate, N I Personally don't Have Any Patience So that's Probably Why i'm getting So Annoyed About The Whole O'halloran Saga And All The Other Transfer Talk, Once The Transfer Window Shuts Then I'll Be Ok If We Get Him Or Whoever Else Or Not, But I Am Hoping He's A Ger Within The Next 7 Days. ** * **.

25 Jan 2016 16:41:46
I'm hoping we het him aswell, I prefer waghorn on the right which makes Miller the main striker and fair play he's been getting goals but o'halloran is young, fast and a decent finisher. Could be a good player for us.

25 Jan 2016 15:49:29
Warburton won't leave cause there is not many clubs down south that can offer him the chance of europe king is fighting rangers corner on many fronts and got the club back from the idiots that had it before and one thing is for sure we are in a better position now than last season cut the board some slack.

25 Jan 2016 16:48:20
Spot on damo, I see one has disagreed with your post, would like to know which one of all your valid points warranted pressing the disagree button mate.

25 Jan 2016 14:25:41
If we are going down the loan road again it would be great if the magic one could use his contacts in London and bring Patrick Bamford up for the rest of the season, cut short his loan deal with Palace and is being punted out again with QPR Norwich and Hull being linked with him, he would be a fantastic acquisition till the summer.

25 Jan 2016 14:48:49
Said that myself bear last month would be an excellent loan signing . unfortunately I think it's unlikely.

25 Jan 2016 11:57:49
Just because every one of our targets isn't plastered over the back pages doesn't mean we aren't close to a agreeing deals for players.

We knew when The Boss joined he was more intelligent than the average manager and can keep his cards close to his chest.

How many of us knew Ball, Zelalem and Oduwa were joining on loan before we snapped them up.

Remember the deal for Zelalem looked off and we managed to beat several Championship clubs to bring him in.

No worries. We will get quality players in before the end of the week.

25 Jan 2016 13:22:20
When did we bring Springsteen to the Club?

25 Jan 2016 13:52:07
Yeah, I hope we're not left " dancin in the dark"

25 Jan 2016 14:51:37
All loanees! Where is the front end injection of funds from King? Where is the promised support for Warburton to bring in any player he wanted! No wonder our enemies are laughing when Leeds United beat us to a player!

25 Jan 2016 15:00:59
Leeds are in English championship mate that's where the money is.

25 Jan 2016 15:01:26
Jackson Irvine would be ideal signing! You say that as if Leeds are a small club playing in the conference lol.

25 Jan 2016 15:48:31
TOM42 It scares me how little fans pay attention to the AGM. The club currently has £14.7M share equity unissued. The loans will be converted to shares when the next issue does go ahead. But after that £14.7M no more shares can be issued until a resolution succeeds to allow the club to waterdown the shareholding. This was blocked at the AGM by Ashley and the Easdale block as it required 75% approval. For someone to put money in to the club they need shares in return. Only an idiot would gift a PLC money and not take shares or assets for their money.

Until the Easdale block are bought out or their voting rights barred the club will need to rely on Season Ticket money, Little TV revenue and Loans against the outstanding £14.7 available equity. King could pump in £14.7M against the remaining equity shares to spend on players but we would have no money to pay wages, run the club etc in exchange.

Will you write the club a cheque Tam? bearing in mind you won't get any shares or assets for the your money, yet that's what you are asking King to do.

25 Jan 2016 11:44:33
I think we would all agree, if Ryan Hardie and Fraser airs are allowed to depart the club on loan deals, there will be something happening at our club.

Warburton has always said he will only bring in players who are better than what are at our club.

Can guarantee if Hardie goes on loan we will sign a striker that is much better than Hardie, Clark or Miller.

If Aird goes on loan you can assume we have another midfielder/ defender tied up as he is able to play in both positions.

We will hear something later today. Not going to say I never wanted to sign O Halloran. I do trust our managers judgement though as we all do and if he can get better players for better value, our club is all the better for it.

Warburton is magic!

25 Jan 2016 14:52:29
Or it could be that we are just trimming our costs since no funds are available and King has failed to deliver the funding he promised!

25 Jan 2016 11:44:33

Not a rumor but is anyone else worried that MW may be losing patience with the board? He himself said something would be done by today, so somone is telling him this and isn't being true to their word. Would piss me off completely. i'm not saying we should be going down the road of spending big again but he clearly had targets thought he was guaranteed them and looks like he's lost out probably on both.

25 Jan 2016 11:49:56
That is something I've thought about I think the next window would be the 1 if they didn't secure his targets he could get bored and head back down the road time will tell hopefully that will not be the case.

25 Jan 2016 11:52:02
It's the first January window of his tenure at the club. He knew what he was in for, the media scrutiny, fans on the club's back if they don't sign players.

The Boss said himself that January is more complicated than the summer for the obvious reasons.

The magic man isn't going anywhere. That's a fact!

25 Jan 2016 14:56:56
Leeds paid £600,000 for his prime target, O'Halloran will cost a maximum of £500,000.

Given the Boards comments to support Warburton in the transfer window and King's promised £30m, front end loaded if necessary, Warburton would be right to be pissed off although it wouldn't surprise me if some of the Board is also feeling conned by King.

After all, they and the two Hong Kong fans and Mr King still has his money in his pocket.

He is not doing his credibility any good although he still has a week to bring in some quality.

Seems like the Monday signings ain't going to happen though!

25 Jan 2016 17:24:49
He never said which monday :)

25 Jan 2016 10:50:29
Ok am not happy that we have not signed the 2 targets that were meant to be priority, but every1 needs to calm down a bit, your going on as if these 2 players are world beaters! get a grip!

And again here goes the DK bashing for another week. were is the money, show us the money, DK is a snake etc etc. can you all have a word with yourself.

So u all act like DK has come in and done nothing. Uz need to wake up. Just think back to a year ago please let's take time to reflect here. U really think DK and his team have done nothing!

Realise this, we are not going to spend money if we can't afford it! DK not going to splash the cash! He building a sustainable model for the club, so that we function within our means!

We should be able to win championship by spending within the clubs operating budget and that is what DK is trying to do!

By doing this it puts us on a solid footing for the future, its all about the long term plan.

Once we get promoted then we can re-asses the situation, new budget, more season tickets sales, potential higher income, European income, more TV money, maby have retail sorted out next year or 2, building this club back up correctly!

We done want a sugar daddy, were does it get us, we want to be self sustainable!

But I feel taking all the above into account, DK and his team will put a few quid in the push us along to the next level but only once we make it up and they can reassess the business model!

So all you haters get real!

25 Jan 2016 15:02:11
Perhaps Mr King should have stayed quiet rather than rambling on about investing £30m and front end loading the investment to support Warburton in the transfer market. He does his credibility no good by all this talk and no evident action.

He doesn't exactly have a track record in terms of honesty and integrity but he has been given the benefit of the doubt because he is a Rangers man. So far the other Board Members and the two Hong Kong fans are the ones that appear to be keeping the Club afloat.

25 Jan 2016 09:19:27
I think we shld b bringing in quality just nw o'halloran the boys from Accrington and a bid to bring Fletcher in when his contact ends in the summer I don't think we hv enough right now for the league if we hit another bad patch or injuries if we get the above we might end up in Scottish cup final depending celtic get there 2 and win their league it's a passage of European football and a bigger carrot for summer buys.

25 Jan 2016 10:27:35
Is that fletcher from the golden comedy porridge? It couldn't be Stephen fletcher considering he's on 28 grand a week some fans are on a different planet. We won't and shouldn't be paying any player anywhere 10 grand never mind 28grand.

25 Jan 2016 11:35:24
Steven fletcher? he's bloody mince for a number 9 his goals record is shocking.

25 Jan 2016 09:19:27

25 Jan 2016 07:13:08
I guess all bears believe we will win the league this season so why are we not investing on players to bed them in for next season and who knows with a run in the cup
we should have an idea where we are it ok to say we will challenge
Celtic but we do not to be along rans along with Aberdeen and heart sext season and the point is DK is supposed to be one of us
will he be happy to see us to the piggery and get humped or any stadium in Scotland for that matter.

{Ed001's Note - surely it makes more sense to wait until the summer, when you are actually in the SPFL and so can attract better quality players? No good bedding in players that are not good enough.}

25 Jan 2016 08:59:24
Spot on ed. Why risk spending when there us a small risk it could go wrong and we could spend another season in the championship.

25 Jan 2016 10:09:09
@ Albert another year in the championship would be a disaster for Rangers.

25 Jan 2016 10:32:45
Another season in championship would be a complete disaster, we would need major investment to stay afloat.

I think as long as we are lucky with injuries and don't have another sticky patch then we will have enough to win championship, but with a resurgent strengthened Hibs we are taking a bit of a risk- not exactly much of a margin of error.

25 Jan 2016 10:46:29
The ramifications of staying in this league are more costly than the million it would have taken to secure both players we wanted. I do think we'll romp this league but they would have put it beyond doubt.

25 Jan 2016 11:37:36
Ohalloron is good enough for next season he's worth the money it's embarassing what we offered hopefully they see sense and pay a fair price for a good player who will add to our squad.

25 Jan 2016 15:02:20
Too Much sense for most on here ed.
