With Miller, Wallace, Dorrans, Jack, McCrorie, Wilson and Alves all missing last night how many of last nights team would you drop to give the players listed above a game? My MoM last night has to be Tav he was different class.

26 Jan 2018 00:16:15
At the moment it would only be Mcrorie and possibly Jack who could get back in but even the latter would be a flip of the coin after Holts performance against The Dons.

26 Jan 2018 02:17:08
Jack shouldn't get in.

26 Jan 2018 06:46:03
Cawrfc I think Jack has plenty to offer. Has the quality to safeguard the defence.

26 Jan 2018 07:38:40
Inplace of who? a don't rate him personally.

26 Jan 2018 08:10:23
Jack is injured and only just had an operation, won't be back for a while. Jack is a better player than holt. I agree holts played well recently but he's really not that good.

26 Jan 2018 08:19:07
Never been a believer in squad rotation, strongest 11 and preferably the same winning 11 everytimešŸ‘

26 Jan 2018 12:44:37
Squad depth is key. The best 11 to play Aberdeen isn't necessarily the best 11 to play Celtic or Hearts or Hibs. Different players have different strengths and it's all about selecting the right group to most effectively combat the opposition's differing strengths. What we have now that we haven't had for years is options.

26 Jan 2018 15:23:25
Well said MikešŸ‘

25 Jan 2018 22:59:15
Another excellent signing in young Docherty, I feel he will become a powerful player for us. On another thing I have a question for maybe some of the older bears, does anyone know for fact where the saying in relation to the gers came from. I know all the stories about the bible, also us being the British establishment club, I just have never been able to find a definitive answer?

25 Jan 2018 23:16:12
The saying i mean is, 'we are the people'.

26 Jan 2018 14:40:03
I believe it was some loyalist in N. I. Shouted it outside court after he was acquited, I could be wrong

26 Jan 2018 21:32:56
Read the bible.

25 Jan 2018 22:31:58
We certainly dodged a bullet with McInnes knocking us back, as he's now been horsed 3 times by Murty.
Rode our luck second half with some fantastic saves from big Wes. Thought Goss was outstanding along with Holt.

25 Jan 2018 23:25:41
Dodged a bullet and road our luck in the same statement. . a wee mixed message there ehh? Let's enjoy the victory and leave Mr McInnes be. He had his reasons.

26 Jan 2018 00:33:45
Spot on Dutch, Totally agree.

26 Jan 2018 00:45:59
Aberdeen had a wee 8 minute spell of pressure out if the whole 97 minute match and only because wee took our knee off there throat.

25 Jan 2018 21:49:12
Welcome to the greatest club in the world Doc! From fan to player. every kids dream. Enjoy šŸ‘ŒšŸ».

25 Jan 2018 21:15:58
Finally! That was either the longest medical in history, or they took half a day to come up with that naff twitter video. Welcome Greg.

26 Jan 2018 08:58:25
Think you are right Stuartyb
If Morelos had his shooting boots on we would have been out of sight by half time, l like the fact he hates being subbed, but needs to put a lid on it, it looks petulant at times

25 Jan 2018 19:14:07
Whatā€™s your thoughts for Sunday Bears? Do we stick with the same line up or go 2 up top and drop a DM out? the Iā€™d like to see Cummings get a start but it would be harsh on Goss and Holt who played really well last night! Nice to have options in the middle of the park at the moment and when Dorrans returns I see him playing in the 10 rolewhere a Windass was last night, Docherty I believe will play anywhere across the centre.

25 Jan 2018 22:02:47
Rather than have Krancjar or Herrera on the bench who offer nothing. They should have Oā€™Halloran and Docherty on the bench

25 Jan 2018 23:25:49
Drop morelos he doesn't deserve it he's been playing shite anyway. The amount of missed chances isn't great, but stropping of the pitch the other day wat the fuk is that all about blanking Jimmy Bell when he got took off. Exactly how Dembele reacted when he came off other week.

This better not be the start of him trying to force a move because he can get get ti fk if it is. Fair enough if he thought he didn't play well but clearly wasnā€™t that reason. Just hope the attention from media etc doesn't get to his head.

26 Jan 2018 01:57:00
Eh? You want Morelos dropped because you think he's pish but you wouldn't sell him? Why would you want to keep someone you didn't rate? Am half thinking your on the wind-up

26 Jan 2018 07:52:45
I don't Morelos has an attitude problem I just think he was disappionted he didn't score more the same way he went straight up the tunnel after the Celtic game. Just think he was annoyed with himself. If anything it shows he sets high standards for himself.

25 Jan 2018 17:37:43
Just think if mcinness had taken job do you think the signings playing last night would have been the same. I keep hearing mark Allan makes the signings but surely manager has some say.

25 Jan 2018 18:02:27
Mark Allan doesn't make the signings mate whoever told u that doesn't understand his position

25 Jan 2018 18:20:44
As stated before Windass 20 minute player, Docherty will fill that position .
We broke last night Windass had Murphy one wing Candeias the other wing with the Aberdeen defence back tracking, what does he do, stops the ball slows down play and nothing comes of it .
There is a player in him but can't afford passengers, even the one he hit the post with should have been buried from ten yards .

25 Jan 2018 18:41:28
Maybe just me but I thought windass had a great game. Some of the game he was unplayable

25 Jan 2018 18:49:35
Yes CFBEAR I do think it would have been the same players or near enough but Maybe bought and not on loans cause we would of had a manager full time and past just the end of the season, I personally think DOF has a lot to do with which players are coming in and going and I also think that was 1 just 1 off the reasons DM didn't take the job, he wanted to be his own man and not be under a DOF.

25 Jan 2018 18:49:37
Windass played well last night. To focus on a single mistake / error seems a bit harsh. I like the boy Docherty but he'll make mistakes too.

25 Jan 2018 18:59:09
Itā€™s just you Camoo

25 Jan 2018 18:59:47
For 20mins in total he had a great game. The other 70 he went missing or is gash. It's the same very week. We need him being good for at least the 70 or more. Hence the reason we won't miss him unless he ups his 20min spell x 4.

25 Jan 2018 19:00:40
Docherty won't get a start. we are playn well with the starting 11 the now.

25 Jan 2018 19:07:34
The reason i'm asking is if mcinness did know who we were going after and now have actually signed he must have been standing there last night thinking well I got that decision wrong. I'm glad murtys is in there after some initial reservations . Whoever choose the players well done as heading in the right direction at last.

25 Jan 2018 19:45:03
Is wilson away then one min he's captain then as soon as news comes out about american interest he's dropped?

25 Jan 2018 22:50:41
My take on who's making the signings is that it isn't as simple as saying it's my or GM or even Walter alone. But a mixture and collectively with the board. In the summer for example it was surely Dozza's representatives who got in touch with Rangers, and I believe Murphy would be a similar situation. John is bound to be on MA's recommendation and I reckon Goss might be also.

Murty worked as a coach at Norwich before coming to us so would know Martin on a personal level, so to me looks like one of his own. Obviously Walter has had some influence on Murty's thinking as he alluded to himself. Personally I think the setup with Murty and Allen working in tandem and Walter's wisdom in the background means that we're less likely to make errors in the market. I also think Warbs did us a favour with Cummings (perhaps not intentionally) as Hivs would never have dealt with us directly.

26 Jan 2018 02:19:50
Disagree all ye want but a guarantee ye Docherty doesn't start Sunday.

26 Jan 2018 07:57:28
Why would Walter Smith have any say in signings we make? Surely if that is the case then that undermines Murty as a manager and his judgement!

26 Jan 2018 08:14:11
Pretty sure dof has a big say in how we sign.

26 Jan 2018 08:19:45
Calvin55 I don't think anyone is saying Smith is actually making the signings. At least that wasn't what I was getting at, just that he's advising on the type of signings. Murty has publicly said that Smith has been giving him advice so that's hardly undermining him. Also people have witnessed Walter showing one or two of the new signings round Ibrox. McCulloch said after the first couple of loans that it bears the hallmarks of Walter and he's not wrong.

26 Jan 2018 08:33:12
Yes blueberry, in my initial post there my was meant to be my or Mark Allen, and of course he has a big say I'm just pointing out that it's likely not his sole decision and that it's a combination of him and Murty plus players that have been put to the board via agents with them all agreeing collectively. Not just one persons decision that's all I was saying.

26 Jan 2018 08:49:28
MA not my

26 Jan 2018 11:10:50
Would rather see Murty stand or fall on his own two feet. Can't understand why Murty would ask someone who he should sign e. g if he had a player in mind and Walter told him not to sign said player would Murty trust Walter's judgement over his own? A managers lives or dies by his own decisions. Surely we can't have a Rangers manager who needs "advising" as to the type of player he should sign!

26 Jan 2018 14:59:07
I see what your getting at but like I say two or three heads might be better than one here. Walter has been round the block a few times and Murty is completely new to this level of decision making. Ultimately I think Murty will carry the can, but it certainly doesn't hurt having Allen's knowledge of English youth players and Walters knowledge of Scottish football and the Old firm on tap.

25 Jan 2018 15:43:41
Just watched Murty's interview from after the sheep match I just can't help but want too love the guy I think of I ever see him I will hug him and tell him I love him he is just class how he conducts himself.

25 Jan 2018 16:11:24
He has always spoken well since taking over, humble, proud and focused!

25 Jan 2018 17:13:07
I can see why you call yourself frustratedbear, you should look at getting yourself a boyfriend .

25 Jan 2018 22:58:02
Its called Media Training, FrustratedBear1 just like actors and most people who are going to be on TV quite a bit all receive this, even your politicans everybody gets Media and press training.

26 Jan 2018 09:30:16
How much media training does an u20 manager get as wee bear said itā€™s been right from the start and our last two managers didnā€™t exactly get on well with the media and didnā€™t present them selfā€™s very well unlike Murty.

Jyf you offering I have been told you should always try things 4-5 times in life to know if you like it or not.

25 Jan 2018 15:39:24
Somebody says on another thread that Docherty has failed medical seriously? Hope not

25 Jan 2018 15:47:35
Really hope not . would LIKE to get Docherty signed

25 Jan 2018 16:01:03
I can't see anything saying failed mate, most up to date I can see was 25 mins ago confirmed he had passed it and signed a four year deal?

Like you say, really hope what you found isn't true.

25 Jan 2018 16:56:47
As the saying goes . don't believe everything you read. A wind up if ever I heard one.

25 Jan 2018 17:32:47
I know he broke his foot last year and it was playing up but can't see him failing medical because of it

25 Jan 2018 19:10:09
Medical went fine, nothing to do with the medical that was holding things up it was the sell on fee with Hamilton refusing to budge on 25% of any transfer fee which i agree is crazy but True while Rangers was willing to pay 15% sell on then they thought agreement reached finally on 20% of any future transfer but Hamilton not budging on 25% of any transfer, so Hopefully they can reach an agreement if they haven't already and get this over the line before someone else comes in with more money meaning another club with a higher transfer fee. Really hope that's not what's happened already!

25 Jan 2018 19:37:08
Deal on verge of breaking down over sell on clause. it's only five percent, works out fifty k per million on our profit, just add it to sale

25 Jan 2018 13:45:04
Ronnie McDonald Hamilton chairman quoted on BBC online ā€œRangers have acted really well on thisā€ that will be difficult for the local papers to spin any other way then.

25 Jan 2018 15:05:15
Wee Bear

'Hamilton chairman sarcastically mocks Rangers transfer business regarding the signing of Greg Docherty'.

25 Jan 2018 18:06:47
Lmao do u work for the record lol that's what it will say in the morning guaranteed

25 Jan 2018 23:46:16
Well spotted wee bear noticed that too and also noticed pretty much all news outlets leaving that part out šŸ˜‚

25 Jan 2018 11:56:00
Well all the DM lovers what do you think now after him being shown up again 3 times in a row by an under 20 coach the man can't take the pressure and we dodged a massive bullet in mot getting hom well done Murty and thr team for putting the sheep in thier place

25 Jan 2018 12:54:16
Just what I said in November mate šŸ‘

25 Jan 2018 13:14:58
I take no pleasure in it but he was never the man for the job and in the absence of an outstanding candidate I said all along we should keep Murty until that person became available or until results dictated that we had to give him it permenant. Hopefully he is well on the way to convincing the majority of fans that he is the man to take us forward and results like last night will go a long way to proving himself to any who remain unconvinced. Consistency is the key now Bears!

25 Jan 2018 13:16:48
Steady on folks we are only in 2nd place on goal difference, the fight for 2nd is nowhere near finished so to slate the people who fancied DM is a bit OTT. Anyway we should be beating the sheep regardless who is in charge of either side! And no I'm not one of the ones that wanted DM, personally I think we missed a trick not trying to Stevie Clark from Killie but Murty is doing well so I may be proved wrong.

25 Jan 2018 18:09:03
The sheep will. Tumblr and if we win the next three i can't see them doing the same

25 Jan 2018 22:49:44
I thought mcinnes was the right man, so glad he never got it. Murty is doing great and to think he has been there all this time. I wonder how murty would have spent the 8mil ped got. Apart from a 5min spell near the end aberdeen were never in the game. We still have jack dorrans and mccrorie to come back then add the boy docherty.

25 Jan 2018 11:16:19
Really good performance last night, thought everyone was up for it aswell. I've never been the biggest Candeias fan but thought his work rate and tenacity up and down the flank was tremendous. Obviously Holt, Tav and Fod were class aswell. Apart from that dodgy 10mins after we'd scored the second, it was a very dominant performance and cld have been even more convincing. It's the most optimistic I've felt in years and there is def progression. Murty might just b onto something here, especially if you look at the quality of the players that were missing. Enjoyed that last night!

25 Jan 2018 14:35:51
The work rate of the whole team seems to have gone up match by match since Murty was given the job. Impressive team performance watching that last night, and with this months additions everyone is now playing for his place in the team. They need to keep this up now every match, but its a world of difference to what we saw under Pedro

25 Jan 2018 18:12:23
Yes in the past we have fell away after 35 mins but now look good for 80

25 Jan 2018 11:37:56
Once again McInnes can't beat the old firm. glad we didn't get him. murtys doing a good job.

25 Jan 2018 11:31:14
I hope Murty tells Alves he is no longer being considered for the first team and force him to leave or miss the world cup. He has never been committed.

25 Jan 2018 12:49:09
why? what has he done wrong?

25 Jan 2018 13:18:05
Itā€™s not Alvesā€™ fault he is on a fortune. The man is a seasoned pro and Iā€™m sure he will go willingly if he is not in the managers plans however if he is then we must support the guy, especially if Danny Wilson is off, we will need his experience in there with our young guys.

25 Jan 2018 20:47:48
What is all this not committed nonsense I don't get we're all this is coming from and he was clearly injured vs Celtic so I don't get why people are on his back so much he has not even played that bad when he has played.

25 Jan 2018 10:58:49
Tavernier absolutely brilliant again player of the season so far keep it up tav.

25 Jan 2018 12:49:28
Couldn't agree more, Get him signed up!

25 Jan 2018 13:21:23
šŸ‘šŸ½ definitely mate, he has been outstanding recently and as the team improves his defence shortcomings become less apparent. He and Declan John, along with the centre halfā€™s will benefit greatly from our improvements in the middle of the park, just think if we can get Rossiter fit we will have our strongest midfield options in donkeys!

25 Jan 2018 10:38:18
Graeme Murty said a few weeks back that he speaks on a regular basis with Walter Smith and we have seen The Legend showing new players around the place. It's clear he has been listening to Smiths advice going by the signings he has made. Most if not all of them have Scottish/ Rangers connections in them and for me that has Smith written all over it. Keep your chins up fellow bears. They would be more stupid than they look if they think we are out of this.

Three cheers for the red, white and blue šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

25 Jan 2018 10:47:54
Said the same thing a couple weeks ago. Definitely rings of Smith taking over from le guen

25 Jan 2018 10:06:00
Man for man I genuinely see very little difference between the two sides now. Wes has proved this season he is better than Gordon. Tav is miles better than Lustig. Martin slotted in like he'd been there for years and Imo is better than any of their centre halves, reserving judgment on the new German guy who is out for the next month. They have high hopes for Ajer but from what I've seen Bates is a better defender and McCrorie has as much potential. Tierney is a standout for them tbf but Declan John has barely put a foot wrong. I think Murphy will prove to be as good as Sinclair and while Forrest has improved his game I'd still pick Candeias. Up front Cummings is better than Griffiths was at that age and while Dembele may be a better player than Morelos he's been pish this season and el Buffalo will out score him. They might say Rogic is better than Windass but his fitness is no better than Rossiter's. Finally the midfield McGregor and Armstrong are overrated, Broony won't go on forever and Ntcham hasn't done much yet. Are they really better than Dorrans, Jack, Holt, Goss, and Docherty?

25 Jan 2018 10:20:55
Big marv i have to say Tierney would walk into our team so would Griffiths dembelle Sinclair's and sumonovic . But the gap is a lot lot smaller now one more season and we will really challange

25 Jan 2018 10:31:43
Tierney yes. Griff yes. Dembele yes. Sinclair not so sure but I'd rather have Big Bruno than Sicknoteovic.

25 Jan 2018 10:42:04
Stirling, i'd agree oon all of those but Sumonvic, I honestly think that guy is a bombscare.

We have the nucleus of a good side, we just need consistency, the defeats against the bottom half teams is what is hurting us, I believe it comes down to a mentality/ attitude issue and Murty is addressing that now with the players he is bringing in and the players he is looking to let go. Siege mentality required.

Lets hope Murty can pull it off and we can push on away from Aberdeen/ Hibs etc.

25 Jan 2018 11:53:31
Great post big Marv. I agree with you, I have said the squad before Pedro left was very decent but with the wrong man in charge. Now we have the right man and some great additions to that squad with the likes of Docherty to come in as well as Jack, Dorrans, Alves, McCrorie and Miller to return from injury.

25 Jan 2018 12:01:56
We need a midfielder to bully the opposition and dictate the game, once we have that (mcrorie in a couple of seasons) we will be in a better place.

25 Jan 2018 13:53:49
Cheers Seeker, also in our favour is that all of their fans still think they're miles ahead team wise. Pride cometh before a fall and aw that.

25 Jan 2018 09:22:18
If there is one good thing to come out of the Pedro time, then his name is Daniel Candeias.
What a winger and good footballer he is.
Works hard every game as was shown, when he kept Tierney busy and stopped him getting forward in the last old firm game.
Candeias also dovetails well with Tav.
The short sleeves and black gloves bombing down the wing is superb.

25 Jan 2018 09:32:26
Yes agreed, I've always rated candeias since he came in, that guy could run a marathon pre match and still put that effort in lol

25 Jan 2018 11:54:21
Fantastic attitude he has and a very good player

25 Jan 2018 12:01:58
One good thing? Morelos?

25 Jan 2018 13:30:14
I think the quality of player is definitely better than last season, the Mexicans were mistakes but Morelos, Candieas, Dorrans, Jack, Declan John (probs DoF influence) are all good signings!

Been unlucky with injuries but what's new, we always seem to have big players out injured.

25 Jan 2018 13:35:49
Morelos was JJ, not Pedro

25 Jan 2018 13:55:17
Morelos may have been JJ, but was JJ not Pedro?

25 Jan 2018 08:55:52
Love the Aberdeen fans going into meltdownšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ wanting mcinnes sacked for losing three times to the mighty gers, we are back where we belong, youse obv became too big for your boots whilst we were having our trouble but you better get used to it because we're back!

25 Jan 2018 09:02:50
Dazrfc86

Back where we belong? 2nd place?

25 Jan 2018 09:12:58
In reality you would see that in recent weeks we are not as far away from that other mob as they think, we are starting to get back to a decent side that will be challenging, that's what I meant

25 Jan 2018 10:26:37
Arthur being pedantic there are we not u know what he meant back above aberdeen .
Aberdeen will crumble now and we will end the season at least 9 points above the rest but still a few behind the m

25 Jan 2018 11:33:32
Not so sure Aberdeen will crumble now

25 Jan 2018 11:56:24
The sheep are nowhere near as good as us. If we'd scored 6 last night nobody could have complained

25 Jan 2018 07:32:10
Think it is time to give credit where it is due to some of the new players who arrived in the summer. I have been culpable of having a go at them at times this season but some have really stood up lately and played for the badge.

Like most I thought it was going to be Pena, Alves, Dorrans the more high profile players who were going to lead the way this season. Infact the little unknown Morelos (who does infuriate me by constantly being offside and can be selfishly greedy) gives one million per cent every game, especially recently.

Another is Candieas who is a workhorse and helps out the fullback from start to finish. He has really grew over the festive period and cannot speak highly enough of his contribution. Declan John again is growing every week and having him on one side with Tav on the other really gives opponents something extra to think about.

Finally, not a summer recruit but Holt gets a lot of stick on here and he can go missing at times but he has a next level in him that just requires consistency. To get rid of him anytime soon would be a mistake and I wouldnā€™t have thought he would be one of the highest earners in the squad.

25 Jan 2018 08:50:58
agreed. tav and candias are quality down the right. If john and murphy can get a partnership going like that then we will have some good quality down the wings.

Thought Goss played very well against Aberdeen last night.

25 Jan 2018 09:01:16
Agreed mate. Candeiasā€™s work rate was absolutely phenomenal last night, his passing was spot on all night, he is perfect for the high press, him and Holt could have gone on for another 90 mins you feel! šŸ˜‚ Candeias is also backing himself up with assist this season as well. Him and Tavs Can both cross and ball and link up really well.

25 Jan 2018 06:49:03
Morelos should go for no less then 9M if he keeps up his goals and performances there's a decent player in there a premier league team will improve him and he's only 21 I would be extremely annoyed if rangers sold him cheap my 9M figure is senseible in this kind of market these days and that money could help towards summer transfers IF he keeps up the good work.

25 Jan 2018 08:52:11
morelos only signed a 2 year deal with us which means he's into his last year of his deal in the summer. can't see us getting any more than 4 million for him.

25 Jan 2018 09:05:16
Quotes like Ā£9m are way off the mark. No one will pay that for a striker who is only scoring in Scotland. Maybe if he was scoring in European competition it would be different

25 Jan 2018 11:00:40
I'm certain he signed a 3 year deal?

Candieas was 2 years though.

25 Jan 2018 11:59:45
I see GM has warned potential suitors that it would take loads of cash to get their hands on Morelos. No doubt the haters in the mhedia and Scottish football will have plenty to say

25 Jan 2018 12:50:26
He was a 3 year deal

25 Jan 2018 06:29:49
If going by these pages are true about Holt leaving. I really hope not. Versus both Aberdeen and Celtic he's shown how good he is. What a game covered every blade of grass. And IF hearts do come in for him surely not let him go on the cheap (unsure how longs left on contract) . Great performance though. Think Murphy still a bit off the pace. Wes Tav Candieas Holt Bates Martin John all brilliant. Long may it continue.

25 Jan 2018 08:51:00
Holt has been terrific in recent months. Covers a lot of ground, always looking to play short, sharp passes and links play well. Thought he was our best player in the 2-1 game at Easter Road, although it wasn't our best performance of the season and played well against Celtic, Aberdeen and other top 6 teams so I would be disappointed losing him. The only deal I'd be content with is if we managed to get Soutar coming to us, very much doubt that though.

Keeper was man of the match last night with some fantastic saves. Was a bit concerned just how easily a very average Aberdeen side opened us up and created so many chances after we went 2-0 up

25 Jan 2018 10:33:08
We sat back though which we should never do. Also their big goalie made even more saves through the match i thought he looked a real quality goalie aswell

I agree Stirling. We seemed to sit back after the second goal and allowed them too much space to come on to us. I was watching Murty closely and he was going ballistic at them trying to get them to press higher. Then Halliday and Cardoso came on to tighten things up. After that the sheep ran out of ideas. It was the kind of move a quality manager like Walter would have done. Pedro would probably have taken Bates off for Herrerra. And we would have been urged to 'caress the ball! ' Lol

Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed last nights game, it was just fantastic to see the work rate and commitment that every player put in.

But, and this is not negativity, just reality. I'm not going to be convinced until I see the same commitment and drive and energy when we play the likes of Hamilton, Partick and Kilmarnock. No disrespect to those teams, but we've just not seen the same effort with 'lesser' teams.

Always up for the big games is great, but to be winners you have to be up for every game.

You are spot on there mate. The four defeats against the like of Dundee and St Johnstone mean we are 11 points behind, otherwise we could have been top by a point now. A big IF I know, but surely Murty will now ensure that doesn't happen anymore! Things are looking good.

25 Jan 2018 08:49:04
I was not for giving Murty the job, but I now see a togetherness in that team, the work rate is much higher with all playing for each other, I'm warming to Murty and I agree with the original post if the team can now kick on winning against the so called lesser teams showing the same commitment I'll then be in the Murty camp, it looked last night that that fear factor they had of playing at home is gone so let's make Ibrox a fortress

Review Of The Day 25th January 2018

{Ed's Note - we have posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 25th January 2018

Good times bears. Heading in the right direction at least. Clean sheet and looked dangerous going forward whenever we got the ball. Windass is flying, Murphy will only get better, Candeias and Tav deadly. Morelos will be pushed all the way by Cummings. Kenny, Dorrans, Jacko, Docherty, McCrorie, Waldo all to return. Looking good!

25 Jan 2018 07:04:07
Yip we are beginning to take shape and look good! Its a team effort all the way through our club but as far as i'm concerned, a very big pat on the back for our manager graeme murty! Totally impressed with everything our young manager is doing! Surely at the very least, a 12 month rolling contract, should most definitely be in the offing, at the end of the season! His team building has impressed me greatly!

Itā€™s great to see at last we have a squad of decent players covering all positions and foremost a first 11 that does not pick itself and if any player dips in form they know they will be dropped.

25 Jan 2018 03:41:03
I think mr king and the board deserve all the praise for the work that they have done and i personally would like to thank them for giving us a team that's starting look like the rangers of old, with 2 descent standard players fighting for each position. I recon that we are only a couple of quality player away from challenging the unclean for the league. Get rid of some of the players that haven't work out and sign quality rather than quantity in the summer.

I also would like to thank them for all the other things that they have achieved to 2 years.
Stadium improvements and repairs mostly complete same with murray park. Full backing of three managers with funds being avail to improve the team. Dof employed scouting system set up. New coaches employed for our youth. Cashley deal cancelled. Planning for memorial garden. Not bad for a team going into administration.

That other mob and their pals in the press are so worried that they have to make up stories of admin 2 and about our players leaving ect all to try and divide and unsettle us. don't let them let's get behind the board the manager and his team and all concerned with our great club.
Its all about the Rangers.

25 Jan 2018 07:18:01
I am happy enough with the team just now but we're not run that well. Some of the things your thanking king for. Coaches, scouting network, general maintenance of ibrox are surely some of the basics for running a successful football club? Having to survive till the summer with 'soft loans'? Players on big wages, sitting on the sidelines? We SHOULD be in a much better position financially and as a club.

25 Jan 2018 07:25:37
Well said. Aye wee Holt looked like a man on his way out last night, didn't he? Lol
