I'm a rangers supporter now and in whatever guise, league , and in all circumstances , I bear no ill wishes against the clubs that will vote against us and have already stated so , as is their democratic right, in a ideal world all monies due to creditors large and small would be paid , the punishment in whatever form it takes I as a fan will accept, no matter what league we end up in I will and always will remain a GER .

Believable24 Unbelievable7

Well said. True fans will always remain with their club. They might not like what's happening but they'll always be there. I'd be exactly the same if it were Celtic.
The true football fans among you have my sincerest sympathies, you weren't part of the corrupt fiasco in years gone by and you don't deserve the misery and heartbreak you're being forced to deal with now.
I still think your club belongs in the SPL but apparently others don't share my thoughts. We will await your return from wherever you have to start and we'll ridicule and laugh at you as much as possible for 90 minutes on match day as ever and you'll feel the same about us. But isn't that what the attraction of the OF is all about?

Celtic fan here ..I am one of many Celtic fans that wanted rangers to stay in Spl ..Love my old firm games .feel the club should have had some punishment but still remained in Spl..feel for the genuine fans going through all this ..Not sure what league yous will end up .but look forward to old firm games again ..

Believable12 Unbelievable15

Good to hear some common sense and somebody that can look above the tribal rubbish. I am a Rangers fan and am sick and disgusted at the way Whyte and Murray have dealt with my club. I am embarrased but the situation has got out if hand. The animosity has been so severe that it just obscene. The outcome I am afraid may result in the demise of the Scottish game and if not the demise this will put our game back ten years. The ones that will suffer are the fans and lets be honest the Old Firm game is the only shining light in a otherwise pitiful league. It will be sadly missed.

I see the Dunfermline chairman, Yorkston is saying that his team should be in SPL not Dundee. This is one of them that crucified us for "sporting integrity".
Your team finished bottom of the league, so what about "sporting integrity" now?
Does that not apply when your team is involved?
Sanctimonious prat!

Believable16 Unbelievable13

Such big questions are for the big teams in the SPL club. Sevco5088 and it's supporters shouldn't worry themselves with SPL business.

Agree11 Disagree7

Dunfermline would have stayed up if they went out and payed £4m on a jelavic then deliberatly refused to pay tax! After 5 months of administration you are still not getting it, are you??

Agree2 Disagree3

Bottom of SPL is still above top of SFL 1, but maybe thats too much for a supporter of a soon to be diddy SFL3 team to understand. Think Yorkston has a point, same as he did when he spoke out against you months ago.

Agree1 Disagree3

Diddy team in div 3 you say,aye ,and all you dhims are wetting your pants at the prospect of a clear run in the league, grow up,Rangers will survive and given time and a patient support,we will be back at the top of Scottish football, and you wont be so smug.

Agree1 Disagree1

Ed can you answer this one please ...... The newco has been refused permission to transfer share - I agree with OP for "sporting integrity" to be upheld Dunfermline shouldn't escape relegation - but my question is, when does another team get into the SPL ? The reason I ask this, is if the share is not transferred to newco, then it still sits with oldco, which won't be liquidated for another few months {Ed039's Note - The decision is still to be made as to who will be "Club 12" who will have their own share in the league)

The ramifications, for Rangers and the rest of the country’s senior clubs, of the latest revelations could prove to be cataclysmic.

Some Rangers supporters are already arguing that any and all allegations of wrongdoing during the reign of discredited venture capitalist Craig Whyte and the sanctions which may subsequently brought to bear ought to be rendered null and void if it is proved that he took control of the club by fraudulent means.
Source - Telegraph.

Would this have any impact on the current situation? Things have gone far too far down the line unfortunately.

Billy

Believable2 Unbelievable9

It would have made no diffr rangers were gone when dm sold for a pound

Agree5 Disagree0

Whyte still paid over 18 million of rangers debt to the bank so has to account for 6 million left from ticketus deal and 3.4 million is in an account under court action, so he has to account for 2.6 million minus his £1.so he will not lose any sleep by police action against him....b

Agree0 Disagree2

I only have one question! If they have launched a criminal investigation into Craig Whytes takeover and ill fated reign at Rangers....how can the SPL/SFA take action during a live criminal case? Isn't it illegal to jeapordise a criminal case or indeed to in any way influence an outcome! I'm not an expert in legal matters so just wanting to know out of interest!

Agree4 Disagree4

Rangers were heavily indebted to Lloyds £18m and others, incl footballing debts, all totalling about £65m. Twelve years of not paying income tax and NI on illegal offshore payments to foreign players.
All before Craig Whyte turned up. Nobody can rewrite history for this rogue club. Numerous Directors failed in their statutory duties.

Agree3 Disagree3

Again with this nonsense no#4. The Gers had an 18 mil debt and as it was dropping consistently year on year, proving it was totally serviceable. It's you that's painting our history black... or red.. you know what I mean.

Agree3 Disagree1

@3. Very doubtful and clutching at straws. However even if true would imply that NewCo cant be admitted to any league. Remember they dont own a share today, the Oldco do. The request the OLDCO have made is to be allowed to transfer itto the NEWCO. If that request doesnt happen at all then since the OldCo have no football team the SPL rules require that OldCo have to sell back to SPL for price of £1. If they cant/dont do that for any reason then SPL do it on their behalf

I also think the courts/police would also view the actions of a PRIVATE club such as the SPL/SFA as irrelevant to legal proceeding so long as they made no comment on any open investigations and cooperated as requested.

Even if it starts to look into the EBTs, I dont think that impact the apparent SPL/SFA investigations into whether Rangers incorrectly registered players and should be stripped of titles etc.

No one denies the EBTs existed or that players were paid from them. Only the tax impact of them and whether this constituted payments not declared to football authorities

11 teams in spl will vote to split ticket admissions in the next season. Celtic no longer have rangers to say no along side them

Believable7 Unbelievable8

Dont be so silly teams cant go 2 celtic and say we want half share of 58.000 what planet r u on would not stand up in court no matter what they vote. so just say that was going 2 happen is the other team going 2 pay half the cost of running parkhead that day and police cost catering costs for the day. wake up u silly boy

Agree8 Disagree4

Rubbish. There are plenty ways round this, assuming it is legal?Explain how they could possibly justify it.Dreaming............green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree5

Its a simple problem for celtic to overcome just charge a membership fee to season ticket holders and charge £1 for each game . they can agree a fee for membership . but could oyher teams afford to do that at home games i dont think so

Agree3 Disagree3

That can't happen, though TV money will be split more evenly apart from that the clubs get their own sponsors. It has been an unfair system anyway though it was always the Rangers and Celtic fans who had to put up with the inconvience of travelling at odd times. That's if there is a TV deal
Bobby

Agree1 Disagree1

The SPL don't have that power its illegal.
Why not just rule to take 95% of celtics home gate revenue?
Get a life and stop poisonous attacks on clean teams.
I know your hurting, my highly developed emotional intelligence tells me so, but try to keep some dignity. Don't lose all your self esteem.

Agree8 Disagree4

I think what people are overlooking is the inevitable drop in Celtics attendance. No OF games, no title race. I'd be shocked if Celtic average above 40,000 this season.

Agree3 Disagree1

Right, who is the silly boy?

Half of the net, for the benefit of you, with a failure to understand reality, have of the total gate less costs - policing, stewarding, catering etc. Think it wont happen? Wake up and smell the coffee thick bhoy

Celtic and 1 other.

Therefore total monies in less expenses CAN legally be split 50/50 between both teams.

Newco Rangers to be refused SPL entry as six clubs say they will vote no

25 June 2012 16:14 BST

Rangers: The newco application looks set to be refused.

Newco Rangers look certain to be refused SPL membership after Aberdeen and St Johnstone revealed they will vote against a new company taking the crisis-hit club's place.

Both clubs have said they are joining Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian, Dundee United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle and voting no to the newco assuming a place in the top league on July 4.

The SPL have confirmed that the vote cannot be brought forward and will take place on the agreed date at Hampden.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

25 Jun 2012 19:16:38
This vote no to newco has not been caused by "sporting integrity". I have watched Scottish football for more years than I care to remember. I have no doubt that the SPL chairmen would have voted yes had this happened in December or January, it is that they can't sell season tickets as the fans have the smell of blood. There will be boardrooms up and down the country in a real panic, and the banks will be concerned. Wonder what kind of league it will be
when we come back. I am pretty sure half will be in the third div by then.
The chairmen are interested in money it is the bloodlust by fans that this happened. Let them reap what they have sown.
This will no doubt be greeted by the usual replies from the east side of the city, but let me tell you that you lot will also suffer, because it is no fun when you have won the league before it starts. The ONLY games worth watching are the Old Firm games, the rest is dross.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Bloodlust? Fans just want to see rules being applied without fear of favour.

So you won't be watching the Newco team this season because there are no games against Celtic.

What do people think Green should do now.

Should he wait until the SPL meeting on 4th July and get formal "No" to Newco vote.

Or should he announce now that he intends to apply to SFL and if so what league should he apply to.

Falkirk are already indicating a "No" vote and Thistle fans are making "No" representations to their board for any entry to Div 1.

The danger is there could be a "No" vote to Div 1 as well.

Time is running out. Rangers could not be playing anywhere next season.

Is it best to make a definite decision and apply for Div 3 now (although there are no gaurantees here either).

Mac2.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

You cant apply for div one.You have to apply to the SFA for a licence, then,if granted, apply to the SFL for a place in div three. There also might be competition for the slot from clubs with accounts for the last three years.

25 Jun 2012 18:46:55
Fed up saying this. All this nonsense about clubs voting is just media talk. The proof in the pudding will be next week. Just remember to buy your season tickets whilst you think your clubs will vote out the newco.

Agree2 Disagree2

Crown Office now going to have a look at RFC takeover. Outstanding, wee Craigie bhoy will either run for cover again or spill the beans into the role of every one Lloyds, SDM, Ticketus and Duff and Phelps.
The patsy must talk now.
And remember ex-chairman Alastair Johnston, well he called for the Crown Office investigation in May re suspected fraud! Where do the SFA stand now after saying corporate responsibility for the Directors even when a rogue owner is in control. One of the good things Duff and Phelps did was to hand over the files to the Police.
Green to sell now, not in his financial plan to be out of the SPL - back to square one.
Aberdeen stating sporting integrity as part of their reason. In 1999/2000 when they were rock bottom of the league they were saved by that old reason of Falkirk not having a stadium good enough, p!sh poor.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

There was a supposed to be play-off games involving Aberdeen, Dunfermline and Falkirk with two of the three being in the SPL the following season. Falkirk's stadium wasn't good enough so the rules (you guys love them) stated that they couldn't be involved, therefore Aberdeen atyed in and Dunfermline were promoted. That was the year the league was to go from 10 to 12. Therefore, Aberdeen wouldn't have been relegated unless they had come last in the play-off games. Who knows what would have happened if Falkirk had been allowed to compete.

1903

Agree4 Disagree6

@1 Falkirk were denied ground share. The integrity of Scottish football was not based on sporting achievement but on financial have or have not.
In 2004 Partick Thistle were to be relegated and Inverness Caley promoted, but their stadium was not up to scratch, but hay diddle diddle they were allowed to ground share with Aberdeen.
In 2005 the stadium size criterea was reduced to 6,000 and Inverness Caley could return to their home stadium for season 2005/2006. Neat eh?

Agree2 Disagree3

@2: after the flack received from the Falkirk case, the rules were changed. All clubs agreed to the change. It still doesn't change the fact that Aberdeen would not necessarily have been relegated were the rules different in 2000 so the 'sporting integrity hypocrisy' accusations stem from ignorance on some fans' part.

1903

Agree2 Disagree1

The year Aberdeen finished bottom, it had already been decided at the start of the season that there would be no relegation due to league reconstruction. Youlot keep getting it wrong. Anyway, say what you like, Rangers are dead and there is nothing you can do to change that. GIRFUY!!!

Totally disagree...as a season ticket holder for many years my money has been invested in these players (transfer fees/wages). If these players wanted to leave and not play in lower league...well the can and for cut-price transfer fee...then money comes back to club to help it when it needs it most. Green doesnt lose here, sdm does lose here, whyte doesnt lose here....the only loser here are us the fans. I will never cheers on naisy or whitty again, whether with scotland or anyone else. They are nothing but judas to the loyal fans of rangers...so wake up and open ur eyes and stop kidding on there victims in this....they are victims with double wages and signing on fees...aye right! We are the victims!!

Believable7 Unbelievable7

They also thought mr tight was paying tax that came off their wages.

Agree2 Disagree2

This is a very very good point at every turn its the fans that that pay the heaviest price
and when duty called we were there for them.......with the last 10 years of mis- management of murray and now the people involved could not manage this any worse.....dont think we will be in ANY league next season its that bad...les

Agree2 Disagree0

U pay a season ticket to watch that seasons football. End of. The season finished, contract with u finished. You have an investment in nothing.
Even Rangers shareholders who did have an investment now have no investment.

I think Green does lose here. He looked on the players as assets to be sold to put money into the company. Money that seems to be very much needed with the season ticket situation.

Aberdeen who are £12m in debt and need to find another £38m to build a new stadium vote to reduce they're income?

I suspect a lot of owners are going to use this situation as an excuse for administration next season, Aberdeen being one of the first.

Gullible spl fans can't see what's going on here can they? The chairman and owners will put all the blame on big bad Rangers next season when the inevitable happens, sorry but don't blame us for your own clubs committing financial suicide.

Agree4 Disagree6

The only club who has committed financial suicide is the "old Rangers" as far as I can See

Posted last month that other clubs would use this as an opportunity to change Scottish Football forever (rightly or wrongly depending on you preferences).

Now seeing perfect examples of this, yes they are making all the right sporting integrity noises, however don't kid yourselves this is the others taking the opportunity to change the voting structure.

I'm relatively happy they have voted no, it would have been incredibly hypocritical of them to vote Gers in simply to survive off the back of us, the fans.

Let us see exactly what they have in mind for re-construction.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Alright all, everton fan here. sorry to hear about all the troubles. but even if you drop to the bottom division you''ll be back up in the spl sharpish. a club with your history and prestige won't stay down forever. i have no doubt you'll stick by your club and be there week in week out whatever 11 players you field. things will get better.

I know I try to get a laugh out of your situation at the moment. Sure you can't blame me for that, can you? You'd all be the same if it were the other way round and don't say you wouldn't.
But the truth is this......I honestly and sincerely don't want to see your club in the lower leagues. I want to see your club in the SPL next season. The Old Firm games are what make the SPL exciting and even the players of both clubs will tell you that. The fans will also tell you that if they're being totally honest.
It isn't looking good for your club at the moment and it is a real shame that this is all happening.
But if possible...keep your heads up lads and take a bit of banter. No doubt you'll look back on this in future and realise it wasn't as bad as you currently think it is going to be.

I am sure the answer is no and if anyone can be honest enough by saying that then they might understand why everyone has so much to say against rangers.

He won't be getting my backing till he does something to prove he really is there to help us and not trying to make a quick buck. In 6 months you'll be laughing on the other side of your faces wait and see.

Bears....stop goin on about Naismith and Whittaker. Here's the reality of it.

For those of you who work.....let's assume your boss says you must take a 75% pay cut to avoid seeing the company going out of business. He tells you that everything will be ok in a couple of months and you'll return to your full salary again.
Then...it turns out the company is not sure if it's going to be able to trade anymore. There are lots of rumours about what is happening and your company might be finished altogether.
Meanwhile, you have a wife and kids to support, a mortgage to pay, a car or two to keep on the road and a decent lifestyle you want to maintain. You know there are a few other companies down the road who can give you all the security yo need.
Are any of you trying to tell me you wouldn't go??

Jelly and ice cream when Dermot desmond pulls the plug on funding Celtic next season. Wonder how long that guy will continue to subsidise a loss making club like Celtic in a joke league like the spl?

Celtic had an average of 11,000 empty seats last season without a competitive league how many will stay away in 18 months time? Celtic may not go into administration but they will be severly damaged by Rangers not being in the spl.

Also how many top players at Celtic are going to want to stay if they are out of Europe early and face 9 months of bordom beating teams 5-0 most weeks?

SFL3 is the best thing that could happen to Rangers now, rebuild the club and sit back and watch while the spl implodes, and it will wait and see.

The SPL will not implode, look at the amount of teams that want you out, personally I think this will put bums on seats when you've gone plus sky ain't pulling out either so that will help.

Amazing how may bears want to see the SPL crumble but also believe that they will bounce straight back up into the league they want to see fail without them. Great ambition.

Agree3 Disagree0

'watch while the SPL implodes'? If it does, then there will be no league for newco to be eventually promoted to. Be careful what you wish for...

All Ive heard is scottish football will die without newco, well am happy to wait that out to see if that happens.

Personally I think that the league will cut its cloth to suit and will prosper, and if you make it through the divisions back to the top tier (I really think you will be gone for good due to this mismanagement from the custodians of your club), then I would welcome the chase, just as I would be it hearts, hibs etc.

Agree3 Disagree1

The last thing Rangers need is SPL players and SPL wages with 3rd division income. When you set up a NEW club, why would you expect players from the DEAD club to do you any favours. SPL to vote NO to NewCo.
SFL 1 to vote NO to NewCo.
It's gonna be Div 3.
SFA Lord Carloway cornered into having to Suspend or Expel.
SPL lawyers to punish on EBT and double contracts.
High Court to rule on EBTs.
SFA to decide to give NewCo a license.
No Europe for minimum 3 years.
Limited funding for operating costs and player purchases.
Fans split everywhere on everything.
Footballing debts to be sorted.
UEFA and FIFA watching on having received complaints.
SPL, Scottish cup and league cup winners titles to be revoked and given to runners up to set the records straight.
Huge dislike in the game and society to us.
Newco currently SevCo5088 can not use Rangers FC for undefined period.
History now gone and unconnected with NewCo.
Fans insisting on starting fresh in Div3 and getting rid of Green.
Green proven to have lied on several occasions. Where's the twenty individuals and family groups investing? The names were to be released 3 weeks ago and we were told they were famous noted people and very wealthy.
Ticket money in oldco account that creditors can grab.
D&P to fess up to Lord Hodge.
Rumour Whyte still has a legal shout on assets.
Green threatening costly and futile legal action against players.
Well that's about it.

Great i look forward to watching the farce that will be the spl next season, 6 teams in administration, Celtic 30 points clear by xmas, Spl and Celtic at each others throats over voting rights, Celtic fans boycotting away games if they have income taken away.

I know where and what they were doing! they were trimming their wage bills and living within their means, not paying massive amounts of money they didnt have for players etc. They decide your fate because you have decided theirs for far to long and been shown to be absalutely CRAP at it. What to do is try to accept your team "blew it " big time and let your supporters and the people of Scotland down.

Agree8 Disagree2

Sadly, the only joke is you, this should not be happening. You are being liquidated, therefore the only option, according to the rules,is expulsion from the SPL.You then apply to the SFA and SFL for a league position in div three.Where were you pre souness? i think you won four leagues in twenty years.

Agree10 Disagree0

Euro finals? What? They are the clubs rangers have been cheating for the last 10 years! Every club deserves there vote! Ur club is no more important than anyone else's! Take ur punishment on the chin like men and stop squabbling like a bunch off spoiled babies!

Agree11 Disagree1

How were you playing in Euro finals Deecee?
Oh thats right. With players you couldnt afford and on double contracts. Karma!

So how would you suggest it was decided deecee.

Deecee i find ur comments an assault to real fans eye sight and find it astonishing ur even a fan?
Airport bear. w.a.t.p

Agree2 Disagree0

The real joke is rangers fans like you, UEFA cup final wouldn't have happened if we didn't cheat the taxman, we don't belong in SPL, we need to start at the bottom just wish it wasn't under Mr green, pure conman.

Agree9 Disagree0

Hibs were playing in europe before you

Agree8 Disagree0

Murray,white,duff/phelps,decided rangers fate no one else

Agree5 Disagree0

To be fair if you look back over the last 10 years rangers have cost every one of them teams you mentioned a trophy how ironic is that

Agree8 Disagree0

Deecee - do you have any grasp on what is happening.

The clubs you mentioned are members of the SPL as well as the others that will be voting.

Newco at this stage are not even a football team. They do not have membership of any league in Scotland are are not members of the SFA.

The team that you refer to no longer exists they are gone.

It is Newco that are applying for membership to the SPL not the Rangers you refer to.

Who cares that Naismith and Whittaker want to leave, they are footballers and have to look after themselves. If they don't want to be a Rangers player any longer then go, so what. If we are in div one we would have sold them anyway, the only difference is that we won't get paid for them. There will be plenty of players good enough for first division that would give their right arm to play for Rangers. Ok so they won't be as good players but we will be in first division or third division and don't need as good players.

Let them go, there will be others, and I for one support the club not individual players.

Believable14 Unbelievable4

I think there may have been players who would give their right arm to play for the old Rangers set up but not this newco Get real

Agree1 Disagree0

If they are still under contract, whether it be held by Rangers PLC or Rangers Ltd then they are under contract. They agreed a deal to allow them to leave for a cut price and that deal should be honored by both parties, bit disappointed in naisy, thought he owed us a season after we carried him through two serious injuries but good luck to both of them if or when the are transfered

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

1) I think there are plenty that would want to play in front of 30,000 to 40,000 every second week, they may not be world beaters but good enough for SFL. Kevin Kyle for example was on the radio and said he had approached McDowall. Ok normally not the sort we would want but good enough for SFL league 1 or 3

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real 40,000 won't be at ibrox every 2nd week, Celtic will be lucky to get that in SPL never mind rangers getting it in 3rd division.

Now it is time to get behind Green, I think we must give him all the support he needs and wants.
I have had my doubts about him, but he came, put up the money, tried for a CVA, that didn't happen and I expected him to walk away. That means three years with no Europe, which means three years of no money. But he didn't walk, he did what he said he would and went down newco route.

Since then it has become clear that we will not win the SPL vote and Smith got involved and he didn't walk. Now there is going to be a mass exodus of players that we won't get any money for. On top of that the third div may be looming and he's still here.

You have to give him credit for that, and on top of that the RST ans RSA are encouraging us not to buy season tickets.
He has also enduring what is no more than bloodlust by the other SPL teams, and he is still there.

He must wonder what the hell he has come into. So now he is the owner , has players leaving for nothing, has no SPL, has no Europe for three years. And he is still there.

This guy deserves the Rangers fans support. Never in 140 years have we been in this much danger of no longer existing in any form. Well we can ensure that this does not happen.
We, the fans, have done nothing at all, we have sat back and watched our club get ravaged and have done nothing, so enough is enough.

I say let them do what they want to us, I am past caring, it's going to be bad, but so what. We have been through grim times before, pre Souness, we have been through worse times where our fans lost their lives supporting this team.

Would it not be great if 40,000 season tickets were sold whatever league we are in, would it not be great to show that we will not "walk away". We, the ones affected most will not surrender, we will support them with everything we've got.

I don't know if many of you can remember when we won the league with Souness and hadn't won it for so many years prior, my god it was great, just think how good it will feel when we do return and win number 55.

I have had a season ticket for forty years and I will not let the antics of crooks and charlatans finish the club I love. I support the gers and will go to my grave supporting the gers, nothing or nobody will ever change that.

Imagine the first week Celtic are away, the six SPL games will have a total of about 30,000, would it not be great if we had more watching SFL than the entire SPL. That would show them that we will not be moved!

Believable21 Unbelievable21

Brilliant mate.

Agree5 Disagree3

Please tell me were you get 55 from fans like you are ignorant the history of rangers has ceased ,and the club you will start to support is a new club by the name of THE rangers so any cups won in the future of this new club will be ther first , this is why your club that you use to support no longer existist for your ignorance of what is going on around you, open your eyes and listen to what the facts are and not what you want them to be and you might just might go forward ,ps can you please post how you came up with the sums of the spl crowds couse iv tryed to work this out with no joy ,jodrok

Agree2 Disagree1

Totally agree.

got my doubts about green but enough is enough.

lets get behind the Gers on the climb back up to the top, when we do it will feel the best ever, and to say that you watched the whole journey will be something that will live with you forever.

when im back from holiday mid july i intend to renew my season ticket, and to be honest i would prefer we dont go to the vote on 4 july and give the other wee teams any satisfaction, and start again in the third.

all true Gers fans i thin will stand shoulder to shoulder with me on this one.

Agree1 Disagree0

Your obviously still in denial, your next title will b your first not your 55th......... L1888

Agree5 Disagree1

My question is: What is Green's company all about? He's angered everyone in the game - the SFA, SPL, SFL, PFA, his own playying staff, other clubs, clubs abroad, HMRC, the list goes on. I admire his tenacity but I don't see what's in this for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, a great Churchillian style speach. Straight from the heart but you still haven't figured out why Green is still around. Let me explain what happens. When all the football options are exhausted and it is clear that the newco can't get in the SPL and that the SFL don't want you, Mr Green will be sitting on 3 football related assets that have no purpose. These are the stadium, the car park and the training ground. All will be sold to the highest bidder. Tesco, Asda, property developer whoever. Don't think for a minute that Green is hanging around because he loves the Rangers. They will be liquidated in a couple of weeks and there will be no way back. Green is hangin garound for his pay-off. The proceeds from the sale of the assets he bough from D&P.

Agree1 Disagree0

55? seek immediate medical help, yer delusional, rangers are dead,no adding to the trophy haul, more likely to be stripped of previous silverware for cheating, let it sink in-RANGERS FC IS DEAD,they are trying to palm you off with a counterfeit product, even yer ex players know this.

Agree4 Disagree0

Well said m8 but the thing is once biten twice shy.I am willing to support no matter what league we are in the only probs is im still not sure we will be playing at all. Many fans feel the same and are waiting to see where we end up before pumping their money in.If its div1 im happy because my local team is cowdenbeath and if rangers end up there dunfermline will go back up meaning newco rangers will be at central park first game of the season that would be phenominal and newco rangers would be welcomed to cowdenbeath with open arms.It would also supply much needed money spent in cowdenbeath.

Agree0 Disagree0

2) you may decide in your wisdom that there is no history, we don't, and if you are right then why should newco suffer from a completely different co, you can't have it both ways.
Try this Ross County v Celtic - 5000
Dundee or dunfermline v Motherwell -5000 if lucky
Aberdeen v st mirren - 6000
St Johnstone v hearts - 5000
HIBS v dundee untd -6000
Inverness v whoever is left -4000

Exciting stuff, great games!

Agree1 Disagree1

@9: equally, if you want the history to continue unbroken then you must take the punishments of the oldco - can't have it both ways!

Let's all face it Rangers FC are dead. I have been going to since the sixties and will be going no longer. We fans are the mugs that Murray, Whyte, Green et al, need to make their dreams work. Their dreams are to make money at our expense, while our dreams involve winning games and some trophies they don't really care as long as we are paying. It should be that "he who pays the piper calls the tune", unfortunately we pay with no say in the club whatsoever. People like I have mentioned above only put up with us to hopefully line their pockets. Shut the place down, let Green sell the assets for a profit and move on with our lives. Anyone who renews, or even worse starts buying, their season ticket will be seen by Servco as someone who can be bled for all they are worth as a meal ticket for the "consortium". If Servco don't close us completely the blazers of Scottish football wil ensure a slow death of a thousand cuts. I am not walking away from Rangers, the club I supported has died. Like Naismith, I owe no loyalty or allegiance to Servco. Just play the national anthem and the last post cause we are finished.

Jackie

Believable25 Unbelievable13

Well with "supporters" like you we will surely die in any form. I support Rangers, I don't support Murray, Whyte of Green but I DO support Rangers. My team plays in blue, white and red and they play at Ibrox. As long as they are there, I will be too. Guys like you will reappear in a few years time, they should call you a "glory hunter", not a fan.

Agree14 Disagree22

Sorry you feel that way jackie, this death of a thousand cuts stuff can get demoralizing. My prediction: The Gers will still be around next season and I'm sure you'll be taking a wee peak at the 3rd (or where ever we play) divisions scores to see how we're doing, you won't be able to help yourself. after a bit of time, the wounds will heal and I hope you'll be proud to call yourself a Ger again.

Chin up pal,

Aye, Ready

Agree5 Disagree4

2) I can hardly be called a glory hunter since I have been going to Ibrox since the sixties and have witnessed some miserable teams and footballers who have represented Rangers over that time but still supported through thick and thin. Unfortunately Green is looking for your type of supporter to come along and fill Ibrox and his pockets. Rangers are dead, the team playing at Ibrox next year is not Rangers. It is like saying AFC Wimbledon and Milton Keynes Dons are the same team. The both claim to be the original team but they aren't and neither are The Rangers FC.

Agree4 Disagree0

@1 yes. That's the litmus test. Fans want to go and watch that team whoever is playing for them or owns them. I personally think it will be a good thing for fans to see how most other clubs' supporters feel, watching their team lose matches rather than cheering goals against clubs who can hardly afford to cut the grass.

Agree1 Disagree0

M8 unfortunately thats how business works all any businessman cares about is profit. They wont drive me away to old to start supporting another team now i will just batting down the hatches and hope for the best.

Whitacker quote. "The new companies just started so there's no history there for us". Looks like the penny has dropped for him and Naismith. When will the rest of you get it, your history has gone

Believable21 Unbelievable11

Yes we know your post is correct but when will you understand that this is the begining of the end for scottish football i think the newco will fail as well no players to get us back up but think of it celtic will have the league over by christmas every year who the hell will want to play up here and who the hell will care about the league we have motherwell saying they are on the verge of administration other clubs will follow what would sky want to show our league for it will be far reduced service half a dozen game a season sponsors will slowly drop away interest from other supporters will wane but who cares as long as rangers are gone well ive had it with spl ive supported rangers home and away for 20 odd years enough is enough i wish you all the best

We will survive mate, dont you worry. Take away the fraud, cheating, bile, bigotry. wow, we are in a better place already.
