i am sure miller, mcgregor and any others that mccoist might sign, we need to be signing players that can be at ibrox for years to come, there must be young players on a bosman that we can sign, any ideas

MacLeod, Aird, Templeton, Hutton, Calum Gallagher, Barrie McKay, Nicky Clark and Robbie Crawford are all young men who will be around for years. I think we have a good balance of youth and experience so can not agree. We need tried and tested pro's this season, youth won't win us the championship.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothingbutthestruth. I agree with your post but McCoist must play the young players you've listed regularly, backed up by the like of Bell, Wallace, Miller, McGregor, Boyd (if he signs). Good to see the name Black doesn't appear!

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez deserved to be banned.
However, I do not think the crime does not fit the punishment.
I am amazed at your reaction.
Totally over the top.
Have you read your posts.
Even my sons think you are loopy.
And yet you want me to agree, why?
Don't enforce your opinion onto others.

Thanks for the English lesson.

sorry 4 I hope you don't think I am picking on you and your recent bouts of poetry but what on earth do you mean "however I do not think the crime does not fit the punishment"?

Obviously we all post non English from time to time and I understand you feel we are all being a bit harsh on a man who has head butted one opposing player and bitten 3 others but I still cannot catch on to what you are saying.

Suffice to say we are on polar opposite positions here and you have a friend in that legendary "expert" Alan Hansen who proclaimed today that Liverpool must make it clear one more indiscretion and he is out.
Eh no Alan- he should be out now- not quite as bad as the legendary "you don't win anything with kids" about Fergie's babes at Man U. but getting towards another Hansen-ism. or is it a BlueBellsareBlue-ism?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nbts I remember alan hansen telling the viewing public sir alex would win nothing with youth that is a punch like often repeated to alan hansen that season Manchester United won the league with a team of youngsters a difrent class of player granted, but a harder league the hardest league in the world to win

Rangers have taken former Hearts defender and 13 times capped Algerian international Ismael Bouzid on a short term trial. Bouzid can play as centre half or right back. source: Rangers official page.

He's also 30 years of age.

Agree0 Disagree0

Zimmers at the ready!

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people on here need to decide what they want, some saying Ally looking at all ex rangers players is a bad thing now saying bad move to bring in 30+ year old defenders can I remind everyone that Man United have been looking at paying £25m+ for 29year old midfielders. Ok the quality is better but still they are looking at that age group. He would not be the first 30+ year old defender / player we brought in

Agree0 Disagree0

And what does that tell u as previous poster said zimmers at the ready players don't have national insurance nos when they come to ibrox they have bus passes

Agree0 Disagree0

4)Players these days look after themselves more also your post is focusing on rangers signings as I said Man U are looking at spending £25m+ at players over the age of 29 years old at least the players Ally is looking at have no transfer fee. Look at big Davie Weir he was what 36/37 when he signed for us didn't hear too much moaning when he done great for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Ricger, Manchester United can afford to write off £25m, we, just in case the last 2 years have passed you by, cannot afford to write off 25p. We have too many players with no sell on value on huge wages for the league we are in. We do not have to increase our squad when we have young players we can play beside our experienced pros so that if they make it we can sell on for some funds (e. g Danny Wilson)

A player who has been blighted by injuries and fall outs throughout his entire career. Not the type of player the club needs and another player over 30 with no longterm future or sell on value

Agree0 Disagree0

A bear in work heard he has only played about 30 games in 3 years. don't know if anybody knows if that is true?

@4
That wouldve been handy when craig whyte was in charge?

If last nights match Italy V Uruguay had been played in Glasgow Luis Suarez would have been arrested as he left the pitch and rightly so as would a spectator who sunk his teeth into another fan. If Suarez is allowed to take part in another football match it will be a travesty of justice and should prompt the family of the late Willie Woodburn to claim a posthumous pardon from a Sine Die suspension which must rank a playground spat in comparison

He is an animal and should be treated as such, they put dogs down for biting don't they, disgusting little cretin, I'd like to know if individual football authority's is, the fa, have the power to revoke his licence to play in their country's? because Fifa will bottle it make no mistake, the only thing to do is kick Uruguay out, then let the biter suffer the repercussions back home,
Tommy

Agree0 Disagree0

I would totally disagree. The poor man needs help. This is the third time he has done this, in high pressure games.

Why are we always so quick to condemn someone who is so obviously unable to handle extreme pressure.

You would think he had murdered somone the way the press has jumped on this.

He will not be back to England.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree his latin temprement has basically boiled over everyone does things they can't explain why they done it there have been far worse incidents in football which have been far worse than that (eric cantona) players have been crocked for life delibiretly and u have corruption at the highest levels of f I f a then we have craig whyte charlie green etc

the last two posts here must rank as the worst posts I have ever seen, not only on here but anywere else either, are you both at the wind up or are u both as deranged as suarez?
listen m8, not handling pressure is crying or breaking down, not biting people,
and just so you know m8, What Cantona did couldn't have given someone aids or hiv, or any other bloodborne disease, u honestly believe what he did was worse, u need as much help as the animal does

Any thoughts on Suarez? Is he the first man to bite his way out of the world cup? Will Liverpool still support him? How would gers fans feel if he bit Lee Wallace (in a friendly obviously) for example? Have the F. A any power to place a ban on him for this unusual violent conduct but in a tournament outwith their jurisdiction? Fantastic striker but is this a bite too far?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a sporting event again. I do care who was doing the biting, disgraceful action.

Agree0 Disagree0

3 bites and your out!

@ ED 0039 I think it is ED 0001 Who is the Liverpool fan - would be interesting to know his thoughts on Suarez?. Would gers fan be so robust in condemnation if he was our star player? Did we all condemn Gascoine when he beat up his wife? Well we blooming well should have.
I think his time should be up but what are the Liverpool faithful saying?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - mixed bag mate, some want rid, others don't. All agree he was an idiot though and needs help, it is just some see his actions as less of an issue than say a two footed lunge which could end a player's career. Personally, I just think that once is a mistake he should learn from. Twice is a clear sign that he has not learnt and he needs more help to teach him to react differently when frustrated. But a third time is time to say bye bye. He is not a kid, he is too old to be making these childish errors and still getting paid ridiculous sums for the privilege. He may well be a genius on the pitch, of that there is little doubt, but it is little point having a player that spends so much of his career banned, so you can't even use that to defend him. I was of the opinion he was too much trouble to be worth the risk when we bought him in the first place, but you hope to be proven wrong. I was of the opinion we should have sold him last summer. I was just beginning to have hope that he was going to prove me wrong and settle down. Then he does it again! He clearly is not going to change and so he has to be moved on.}

Thanks Ed and I think that is exactly what should be done
