Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

25 May 2016 22:04:41
Alrite guys, squad is shaping up nicely but do u think scoring goals could become an issue? Miller is knocking on and waggy needs to stay fit plus we are up against more organized teams. Think we should go for one more cf for cover from injuries and loss of form?

26 May 2016 10:01:01
Hopefully ohalloran will turn good.

25 May 2016 22:34:37
Apparently jozy altidore but he's on mega money so I doubt it but after barton signing it wouldn't surprise me if it did happen.

26 May 2016 16:53:06
Definitely need another striker. Hard to get a guerenteed goalscorer for the money we have available though that's the problem.

25 May 2016 22:03:16
I see Preston have had a bid of 400,000 turned down for Tom Bradshaw, Rangers should move for him, he's the sort of striker we've been crying out for and would probably get him for under a million.

25 May 2016 23:18:38
Absolutely 100% agree think he's a great player would love to see him in a rangers jersey.

26 May 2016 10:24:02
Croatia striker Ivan Lendric 24 yrs old 7 goals and 3 assists in 12 premier games, transfer value €375,000, looks like he has potential.

25 May 2016 21:51:48
Any news on the niko kranjcar deal?

26 May 2016 13:28:01
Supposed to be agreed in principle, like Barton was, but he is currently injured.

25 May 2016 20:47:16
I'm hearing Scott Allen is to be released from Celtic. don't know what anyone else thinks but i think we could do a lot worse that to get him signed up.

25 May 2016 20:52:33
Aye, because we are pretty short on midfielders at the moment, eh?

25 May 2016 21:09:17
i heard the new manager sees him as an asset with potential to be developed!

25 May 2016 21:16:14
Nope, had his chance.

25 May 2016 21:40:20
Never going to happen, why would they pay the money they did then let him go for free. Still, would take him for similar to what we offered last year could definitely still do us a turn.

25 May 2016 21:55:30
N---O---spells no.

26 May 2016 09:05:25
scot allen is not being released he is being sold
derby and notts forrest both have shown interest at 3/ 4 a mill.

26 May 2016 10:52:50
Not worth the money, plus he had the chance to wait for us, but he picked them, Scott Allan will never play for Rangers.

26 May 2016 06:49:11
Scott Allan had his chance to be a ger. All he had to do was to sit tight and we would've signed him on a free transfer but he chose to jump sides and I very much doubt he will ever pull on the light blue jersey, unless he buys one. 😂.

26 May 2016 12:58:03
Bollocks he can away and play with thw busses absoloutley do not want to see him near a gers top.

25 May 2016 20:05:25
Agreed on bringing Kyle Bartley and Dom Ball back to be a new CB pairing with Wilson n Kiernan competing. Would get a good pairing out of those 4.
Anyone think Charlie Adam would be a good return? Not a rumour just a thought .

25 May 2016 22:04:48
Bartley was shite and lived off a tackle on Scott Brown, not good enough at all.

25 May 2016 19:59:13
Let's be honest, why do we all like Tav, cause he has great skill on the ball, he can take on players and can of course score great goals.
I've never heard of him once been credited for his defence. Why not move him into midfield and get a solid RB?

26 May 2016 01:41:35
I would personally like to see him have a go at right wing, he can cross a ball, he can take players on and beat them, he can make good runs without being out of position, he'l be able to take corners without havin to get bk into position, n i would bring in a proper RB that defends more than attack, what do yous think bears?

25 May 2016 19:04:46
Matt Crooks is listed as a defender on Rangers' website so I guess he will be CB with Wilson? The prospect of a midfield with Barton, Holt, Halliday, Windass, Rossiter, Forrester and Ball competing plus Waghorn, Mackay, O'Halloran, Miller and Hardie up-front is exciting. We certainly need a bigger squad as the Scottish Cup Final proved.

25 May 2016 19:45:00
We don't have Ball.

25 May 2016 17:11:49
Think we should give Kane Hemings another shot isn't he got a release clause of 250k nothing to lose I would certainly take him. What do you all think.

25 May 2016 17:03:02
We are all gutted over losing to Hibs, they wanted it more on the day, grats to them. Tav has been getting a lot of stick WTF he was 1 assist short of having as many assists as the rest of the team combined + his goals, yes he was poor but so were the majority of our team.

I've never been as excited about a season as I am next. I'm sure we will compete onwards and upwards.

25 May 2016 17:57:07
Tav is one of the best players in the team and has exceptional skill as a wing back. The problems we have suffered in defence have generally been because we don't have a defensive midfield player and we need a quality centre back alongside either or one the current incumbents.

Additionally, our current midfield have not provided a lot of defensive support!

With the new players that are coming in there will be significantly more defensive cover!

25 May 2016 18:40:22
He plays in defence as a defender but he can't defend. He can't tackle, mark players and is poor in the air defensively so why would you play him at right back? By all means play him right mid but let's get a right back who can defend.

25 May 2016 18:53:40
Tav is a liability at RB. He cannot defend. Yes he can attack, pretty well at times but he is not a winger either. How many games has he over ran the ball and lost possession? He can be a headless chicken going forward. I think it would do no harm looking to bring in another RB to give him a challenge.

25 May 2016 16:26:57
Loads being said about warbs absence. hens, maybe the guys on hday for a week wi the trouble n strife------------TOTALLY OK.

25 May 2016 17:03:49
He already stated in talksport last week that he was going on a 10 day holiday with the missus all the rumours about him leaving is rubbish started by celtic fans they had him leaving for derby yesterday even though tim sherwood is a shoe in for that job.

25 May 2016 16:10:12
Liverpool Echo reporting that Sergi Canos has stalled on a new deal at Liverpool and also read on (the ever reliable) bbc that Middlesborough are trying to tempt James Morrison bacl with wages of 70k per week! A newly promoted club that is just insane bears!

25 May 2016 15:32:17
Not a rumor, i know we are needing defenders more but think we would do no wrong looking at Mariano diaz that plays for real Madrid B even if it was a lone boy look brilliant.

26 May 2016 11:30:24
Yeh his stats look impessive albeit they are for group 2 team RM Castilla, 25 goals and 1 assist in 28 games. Viewed a video on him scores goals with ease.

25 May 2016 00:04:16
Defenders we should be looking at who are out of contract Bruno Alves, Martin Caceres, samba, Xandao, Agger, Bougherra just to name a few.

25 May 2016 16:32:05
I would take any 2 of them.

25 May 2016 17:02:02
yeh I would like any 3 of them lol.

24 May 2016 20:38:10
Can't believe people are saying Tav doesn't have a future at our club had a bad game and couple at the end of the season, we've won two trophies in our first year with our new manager and team and people are moaning about losing the cup final and I doubt Barton or Niko won't be coming now as Barton was coming for football not money to play in the old firm most likely and Niko is playing in the second tier in America with plastic fans at there age they just want to play football I'd be surprised if they didn't come.

25 May 2016 15:59:32
The moans about Tav are fair enough. when the kid is inform he is quite the player, however he is inconsistent. if it wasn't for the fact he can score goals there would be a lot more complaints about him.

25 May 2016 17:03:32
we should be looking for a new RB and using tav as am option further up the park can do more damage up there then the nerves that he causes at the back!

25 May 2016 18:27:13
Why does everyone keep saying Tav should be playing further up the park. He gets exposed in the team because our central defenders don't cover in as they should and we don't have a quality defensive mid to tidy up when he gets caught out. Also if MW played 442 he may well be suited to that roll but he just doesn't fit into a a 3 of our 433 .

25 May 2016 18:43:36
Blueshaun

Did you actually watch the game on Saturday? Stokes ripped Tavernier to bits and it was nothing to do with the centre halves. Stokes and Cummings went by him as if he wasn't there and his attempt to mark Stokes at the 2nd goal was appalling.

25 May 2016 14:01:48
Have we had any explanation from MW/ DW on Saturday's performance. We were thumped 3-2 and were significantly inferior to Hibs with only Miller, Fod and Wilson up to standard.

I normally visit the club website to see comments from The Manager. Just visited but nothing although plenty on Barton signing and LW pulling out of Scotland squad. Ironic that landing page on the official site takes visitor to our 6-2 hammering of Hibs at start of the season.

I am lead to believe the silence may be down to an instruction from the Board based on recommendation of James Traynor. If true then v surprised we continue to take advice from this man who as far as I recall was engaged by the previous owners. I don't want to hear anything about the aftermath, just The Managers view on our performance.

25 May 2016 14:34:42
for all we know the main is out meeting potential signings? which for me is more important than talking about Saturday. which let's be honest will be very little about the game itself more about the aftermath.

25 May 2016 14:19:29
For whatever reason MW is unavailable we can be sure it is about the best interests of our club.
In the main the people making derogatory remarks on MW, the Board etc are not Ranger's fans.
I think it is fair to say the vast vast majority of bluenoses are delighted with the team, the recruitment and the board's backing of MW and DW.

25 May 2016 16:48:41
Spot on scotty52, cannot believe how short some peoples memories are re a year or so ago.

25 May 2016 16:58:30
What do you think the management would say about the performance? They have more important things to get on with.

25 May 2016 16:26:50
Mw stated before the final he would be heading back out to usa for more potential talks with 2 players after scottish cup final. krancar being 1.the other i don't know. why don't we all calm down we lost 1 game. in mw i trust. when mw does decide to go then think we have perfect manager on davie weir playing same kind of football. the good and exciting times are back so let's enjoy it rather than slate everybody.

25 May 2016 18:11:20
Would expect a straightforward explanation from the management on what went wrong on Saturday (just as they have provided 50 times during the season) . I am not criticising anyone, just think we should by now have had an explanation from the football department?

25 May 2016 18:46:10
Davie1980

Your right he did say that and I forgot you can't communicate back home these days when your in America.

25 May 2016 19:23:37
Can DW not speak up?

25 May 2016 20:07:55
DW did speak about the final.

25 May 2016 13:58:20
If we can just sign Majic Bougi and Dom Ball to compete with Crooks, then Wilson and Kiernan also that would be good health competition at CB.

Bougi is a free trf, knows the club and Scottish football however dom ball on the other hand may cost a few quid, but I think paying up to £1.5 mil for his would be an investment for the future, you are going to get your money back.

Alternatively we wait on his contract running down the final 12 months, am sure he would jump at the chance to sign for us next year.

Also Sylvan Distin been released possibly do a turn for a year?

Will be interesting to see who we get as a striker, any suggestions as to who is available that may be an option for the Bears?

25 May 2016 14:08:15
SUrely we can do better than that with Dave King's 30M/ 40M/ 50M/ children's inheritance, to spend?

25 May 2016 14:21:09
would have Dom Ball back for sure, and convinced if had been available last weekend we would never have conceded three,

25 May 2016 16:18:33
Kyle bartley and wiess would do nice. Not sure his contract status tho and would be making nice money over there but the boy would be back in a heartbeat.

25 May 2016 17:06:42
A would take Kyle Bartley in a second, boy done well for us. Solid big guy no messing around, and still remember that OF game at the Piggory were he was squaring up to Big Johan Mialby going down the tunnel at half time whilst protecting El Haj lol! Boy got the Blue Bug, he loved it here! can't be worse than what we have at present.

25 May 2016 17:22:44
Rangeken, ball started in the Hibs 3-2 game and falkirk 3-2 game so having him in the team sure as f*#k doesn't mean we wouldn't concede 3 goals I think he's a good player but that's it and I think there are better players out there. As for Weiss he's the most overrated player to never do anything at ibrox other than a quick pass to jelavic in the cup final.

25 May 2016 18:49:31
GMW

I agree about Ball we lost plenty of poor goals while he was in the team and I really didn't think he was any better than Wilson or Kiernan. I'm sure we can get a better centre half than him.

25 May 2016 13:26:27
Firstly I'd like to congratulate the management team on the capture of Barton. A player that could turn out to be one of our greatest ever signings! With him and Rossiter marshaling the midfield, Harry Forrester can rip it up in front Fifa street style, I for one am excited. On the off chance anyone's gran knows the whereabouts of the magic hat then please pass on my regards :-D

With this high profile signing am now confident we can add a real centre-half and GK of top quality! Bentley and Dom Ball would do for me. Ball will only get better!

25 May 2016 12:54:56
Not a rumour but a heads up,
Danny Ward, goalkeeper of Liverpool (was on loan to the dons last season) is to be released by the club and will end up being a free agent. competition for Foderingham perhaps?

Think he'd be a very good addition to a small-sized squad.

25 May 2016 12:42:40
Does anyone know what Barton's getting a week? Having disagreements with a few of my "mates" telling me that's the start of the fall again. Pish.

25 May 2016 12:52:14
I think it's between 12-15k a week, rember warburton said straight onlyblastvweek we wouldn't compete down south with wages.

25 May 2016 13:15:33
The figure I saw was 9k per week but can't confirm how accurate it is, so would take with a pinch of salt.

25 May 2016 13:26:56
put it this way he came to us for a lot less than what Burnley were offering, I'd say around 9-12k a week, which isn't bad at all for a premier league quality player with bags of experience.

25 May 2016 13:05:53
No more than 10k was said the other day on here.

25 May 2016 11:38:28
I think the board must now be winning over the last remaining doubters about their intentions for the Club.
We already knew about Windass and Crooks and they are still good signings. However the level of Barton and Rossiter proves where our ambitions lie, we will have a squad fit to challenge next year. That is all we can ask for in my opinion. The rest is up to the players and management, but nobody will be able to say he hasn't been backed.
Add that to the bottle the board have shown towards the fatman and I think it's all showing up nicely.
Scottish Football will be box office again next year and it's mainly down to the ambition we are showing.

25 May 2016 12:36:31
Well said recbob.

25 May 2016 13:20:01
I will make my judgement at the end of August when we know who has came and went.

However, at the minute we are no where near being title contenders. To challenge for the league you need a good squad, not just a good first team. Hell we don't even have a good enough first team compared to the like of Celtic and Aberdeen (possibly Hearts) .

25 May 2016 13:41:21
I would disagree with that Boss Hogg. I think we are on the right path anyway, there is obviously still work to be done.
We need a high quality CB, a high quality Striker and and FB for cover, and hopefully Kranjcar.
Our starting 11 next year from what we've got could be
Foz
Tav Wilson Crooks Wallace
Barton
Rossiter Windass/ Halliday
Forrester Mckay
Waggy
Subs
Bell
Miller
Halliday/ Windass
Holt
MOH
Kiernan

I'm sorry but that is far and above both Hearts and the sheep and would give Celtic (as they are) a run for their money. We will add and so will Celtic but I'm sure when it kicks off we'll be ready. The transfer window hasn't even opened yet and half our work is done. Rodgers will take month to asses the Midfielders at Celtic.

25 May 2016 14:59:52
Let's revisit this at end of August and then again at the end of the season and we will see who was right.

25 May 2016 11:27:02
I just wanted to post this, how good a job is frank mcparland doing, the players he's bringing to ibrox is class, long may it continue, plus without our board we wouldn't have him and our management team, happy bear.

25 May 2016 12:33:57
I agree Delboy. I posted on this part of the site a few weeks ago that with the management team and FM we have a really good business model to take us forward. Guys like Rossiter, Crooks and Windass will all rise in value once they are playing week in week out in front of 52,000.
But I'm equally impressed with getting in guys like Barton and perhaps Krancyar for the right here and now.
This is why they are being backed by the board, it is seen as an investment with a serious chance of profit being made as well as success on the pitch.

25 May 2016 08:49:58
Looks like we can rule out Sergio Canon. Stalling on new contract and touted to leave for £4m. Also James Morrison is being offered 70k so another non starter.

As for us being linked to Greg Stewart. I said yesterday that 1.5m was way too much. I also think we will only bring in 1 striker and didn't think he would be our best shout. Also have doubts about MOH cutting it. Soooo.

We let Stewart see out his last year. Give MOH that year to see if he makes it. Then next season if as expected MOH out and Stewart in! Thoughts?

25 May 2016 08:58:05
Both out.

25 May 2016 10:34:35
Is the Liverpool lad not at the end of his contract and similar to Rossiter he could leave for Scotland on a much reduced fee?

25 May 2016 11:14:45
I think your write biffo, I personally think MOH will come good this year in the spl, especially after a full pre season under his belt, it has been stop start for the boy since he signed, but I think he has massive potential to do well for us.

25 May 2016 10:17:58
MOH will be better next season when he gets a constant run of games rather than sorting some. out cause of cup games, he played a few gameseconds in a row and was outstanding this. season but kept. getting benched.

25 May 2016 08:41:13
Heard today that Danny Ward is being allowed to leave Liverpool after they signed a new goalkeeper. Worth a punt? Had a good start to the season at Aberdeen and in the Wales Euro squads I believe?

25 May 2016 10:35:03
Think that's a decent shout.

25 May 2016 11:16:03
Agreed again biffo, god what's wrong today, I don't usually agree with u biffo lol, but ward did look good at the sheep.

25 May 2016 12:20:34
Delboy9

Twice in the space of a couple of hours now. People will talk.

25 May 2016 08:15:12
It's hilarious how many celtic supporters are on social media spouting Barton's this and that.

It's clearly a thinly veiled attempt to hide their fear that such a high profile player was prepared to walk away from the EPL to sign for Rangers.

25 May 2016 11:17:23
For some reason all they do is talk about us, u would think they would speak about their own club, but no.

25 May 2016 09:55:04
Lwdawson, the celtic fans are saying this stuff about joey barton because they're genuinely very worried we've signed such a very high profile good midfielder and undoubtedly is now the best defensive/ holding midfielder in scottish football, watch joey barton against this man they call broony next season, joey will 100% wipe the floor with scott brown, night and day the ability between barton and brown, we'll see how hard brown is now, barton will trample broony into the turf!

25 May 2016 06:17:39
Just seen that Danny ward and Adam bogdan are to leave Liverpool. Liked the look of Danny ward when he was at Aberdeen surely worth a punt.

25 May 2016 08:23:32
I think Danny ward would be an excellent signing.

25 May 2016 08:36:15
The Southend goalkeeper would be my 1st choice. Matt gilks also would be worth a try . Although I have been critical of foderingham he saved us a few times on Saturday.

24 May 2016 23:45:52
Jason Cummings prob not going to happen. shame I would have liked that wee terror at ibrox.

25 May 2016 07:06:00
Delighted don't want him anywhere near Rangers.

25 May 2016 07:34:02
Bang on Delboy9, i don't want him anywhere near Ibrox, unless he's autograph hunting, the guy is a legend in his own mind.

25 May 2016 08:24:04
He's a great young player who is a vast improvement on the likes of clark.

25 May 2016 08:32:24
Can't believe how many rangers fans don't like Cummings he can score goals and would do well for us.

25 May 2016 09:16:01
On Saturday I thought he looked over weight and slow and done very little in the match, so don't care if we don't go after him.

25 May 2016 12:31:41
Dont want to deal with hibs ever again jason cummings can go take a run and jump.
