Instead of spending more money I'd like to see Ally reduce the squad, get rid of Cabari or whatever his name is, Smith, Simmonson, Hutton, Little and Foster. That would free up money to bring In Boyd and Scott Alan (if rumours are true it's a possibility) maybe a decent right back aswell. Our under 20s team look good to win there league so we obviously do have youth players that we can fall back on to cover injury and hopfully challenge for 1st team. This would reduce the wage bill and would help us play better football in my mind anyways.

Reports say that 5 players are out of contract.
Agree with the likes of Cribari, Simonensen, Foster, Hutton, and what about Fauré.
There was also rumour that Peralta wanted to leave.
With some players off the wage bill, we could bring in another C. F - Boyd? and C. B. and we have young players in the U20s.
Primarily don't increase the wage bill

Agree0 Disagree0

I would keep hutton and smith I think people are a bit hard on those 2 players and all those fans that are allways complaining about ally not giving the you g players a chance I have to laugh at it as all you lot do is destroy the young guys confidence plus the youth team have a chance of the leauge and cup so if you had any sense you would see he is giving them a chance of sucsess I also think ally is being quite clever as he has loaned out a couple off youngsters to championship teams to give them the experience for next season but I take it you havnt thought about that

always thought on the left side should be smith at left back. wallace pushed into left midfield. its the right side that's the problem

Agree0 Disagree0

A do think the squad will get reduced that's will cribari is getting game time for his last medal, hopefully big Boyd comes in, Hutchinson, McLean and am not sure any other good guys out of contract

Agree0 Disagree0

After the last couple games agree with u smith has played well at left back the last couple of games I have been sore on him inthe past I have always thought that wallace would be better further forward but it takes wallace to get injured before it happens if that was case smith should be kept

Ally still yaking on about new signings when good, harrd working people working at Ibrox on a tiny fraction of his money will this week be finding out that they are about to be made redundant.

Oh well, I suppose he has to keep on pretending that he doesn't believe we're going to have to go into administration.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aww the poor people naz Fs
A could get the sack tomorrow poor me

P. s naz its ally's fault

@ 7 I'm sure all of us have posted things that in more reflective state of mind we then think we shouldn't have. Hopefully this is one of these instances for you? To dismiss as you have the plight of decent hard working club servants to enable the board to keep bonuses and add to an already huge playing staff budget when the club is almost going bust is not I would suggest your best moment on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can understand the Ally bashers, the board bashers, the Cribari bashers and couple of others. but Stevie Smith? What has he done wrong? Have always thought he was a good player, had his injuries in the past but now seem behind him. Good shout from op above about playing Smith l/b and Wallace l/m. Celtic used to do similar with Izzaguire and Mulgrew. means that when l/b goes forward, l/m naturally slips in place and vice versa. plus if cash needed so bad, the one asset at the club is Wallace. Smith a natural replacement!

Ally taking about players for next season, if there is money I would'nt give him any to spend.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mcc, I am 100% against Ally as manager, but our greatest enemy is a second admin. /liquidation.
If we survive the summer break all that matters is progress in the championship and to do that we must become a unit.
Forget King's battle for control with a season ticket boycott because that will finish us. Maybe not in the short term, but eventually. The key to all the politics at the moment are the keys to Ibrox and that is why King is trying to play hard ball with us, the punters, and a hell of a lot, probably in good faith, are backing it.
The only way to beat them is to control enough shares to dictate policy. Nothing short will save us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally look at the players who have rarely appeared in the 1st Team - Cribari, Simonsen to reduce the wage bill and bring in another couple of players, and have faith in the current crop of youth players in the U20s.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said billyb, apart from your dig at the manager, we all have to stand together, that includes Ally. Our immediate problem is to keep Rangers going through the summer and there is only one way to do that work it out for yourselves lads.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy b I have been saying that for ages

Gutted I couldn't get the day off today to go to the game. Just in and caught the guy say at half time for anyone who made the game or missed it on the Tele that there's a tribute to Sandy Jardine on ssn 2 at 11 tonight called Barcelona 72 the time of our lives. It still says Spanish football gold on my TiVo if you can't see it, it will still be on. So il have to record it in 4 15minute sessions but I'm not caring.

ah well I see ally has been as good as his word really young team today honestly what planet is he on if u were a young player at rangers his selections would drive u to despair

Lbj d whilst I agree as I have posted many times our manager should have given youth it's chance credit where credit is due- I thought the whole occasion was dignified today and befitting of the passing of a legend.
I thought McCoist spoke very well and I thought the club (the board apart) should be congratulated on a very moving and thoroughly appropriate tribute to the great Sandy Jardine.
I stayed at home and listened to events unfolding on the national radio station and I thought they to deserve praise for a measured, sensitive and very decent tribute and holistic production of the entire occasion.
All their contributors including Billy Dodds Tom English, Chic Young and Richard Gordon spoke well and got the tone of the programme just right for me.
I think praise to, should go to our cousins from the East and Mr Lennon and in particular Peter Lawell were correct thoughtful and fulsome in their praises for our Legend.
I couldn't help thinking how it takes a tragedy like the 69 not returning from Ibrox or the passing of the wonderful Tommy Burns or Young Phil O'Donnell or the unrivaled Wee Jinky or our own true Super One - The Coop to bring out the best of this silly little country.
Why can't we see we have more in common than the ridiculous tribal rivalries that so sharply divide us for 90 minutes and beyond?
We all work our asses off to provide for our family. We all probably give too much to our clubs but only it seems in death or in tragedy do we see the best of us.

Well done to all including the young Stranraer team, their supporters and club.

A fitting and hugely deserved tribute to a real Legend and a real human of the highest quality.

Criticism of our manager will keep for another occasion- today the boy done well as did everyone who attended and participated.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur 100% right everything was spot on but unfortunetly macoist is a better diplomat than a manager but today was the day for remembrance of avery decent human being and nice to see the divide can be crossed at sad times like this

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Nbear, the respect shown was no more than the man deserved, a true Ranger. I watched the proceedings in a pub in Dumbarton Road and during the minute's silence you could have heard a pin drop.
Also, a special word for a respectful Peter Lawwell laying his wreath at Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cracking post and spot on NBear.

Agree0 Disagree0

Best post I have read on here Nbear. Have always said it's sad that it takes tragedy to unite both sets of fans, but when tragedy does strike. both sets are impeccable.

Now that the financial situation has been cleared up and explained to us, who is everyone looking forward to meeting in the 17/18 Champions League? I think Barcelona are there for the taking at the moment. It'll be good to see Moshni running riot with the big boys, it's no more than he deserves after turning down all those English Premiership teams to stay and fight for the cause.

RIP Sandy.
It'll be interesting to know how many of the spivs that have pocketed the major part of £67M even know who Sandy Jardine was.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd bet not many of them new who Ally McCoist was (or was supposed to be!) but I hope they don't judge a man of Sandy Jardines stature by McCoists lying, cheating standards.

U people really need to get a grip!
