Dh88 firstly why do u laugh at yourself in your posts sad that secondly what about the 3rd and 2nd division did we not get trophys for them maybe u should check your facts before u post again and lastly we are 100% the same club that is a FACT for u and all the ruling bodies have confirmed this maybe u should try looking things up online instead of being on here all the time

Believable4 Unbelievable2

26 Aug 2015 21:15:21
Sorry Scotty, not a fact. Not 1 of the ruling bodies have said that we are the same club. The SFA are cowards and they don't want to upset either us or Celtic and whatever the reality is one of those teams' fans are going to get upset.

Dh88 is the epitome of the septic fans too interested in the club that they think no longer exists blinded by it so much that they can't see there own club failings you don't seem too bright your on the wrong rumours site every day so seeing that deep down you really wish your dad let you support the mighty Glasgow rangers, take a tip get your money on the gers for the treble next year and also get yourself a season ticket you want to.

If we get 4, 5 or 6 players out at the same time can't see where the cover is, we have Halkett and Lang in reserve team but are they up to standard? Have to trust Warburtons judgement I guess, he knows what he's doing.

By being defeated by Malmo Celtic have missed out on a potential Β£21.73mil and instead will receive roughly Β£8.1mil for the Europa League instead.

such a shame. HAHA.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

26 Aug 2015 17:42:18
Β£8.1m??? aye right hahahaha more like Β£1.5m ano your rubbing it in, but don't try to do what that mob do, add another Β£6m on to everything, a remember athletico madrid getting to the uefa cup final a few years back, and they where saying they played about 14 games all in, playing a team twice that is, and they said the most they wouldve made was Β£2m all in, that's why they're trying to either re fix it, and put it back into a knock out, the way it used to be, there's no money in there, and its more of pain than anything else when your in, a feel for poor ronny, liewells hung the poor guy out to dry,

Agree0 Disagree2

27 Aug 2015 12:13:47
That's still about 50% of your potential income for the year onlyshow, we get it for 6 games, not to mention the three home gates already, sponsors, player sales, season ticket sales, domestic cup revenues, SPL revenue, having good control over our merchandise (you know that utter disaster area for you guys). It's when you factor all that in that your haha sounds somewhere between absurd and downright stupid or ironic.

Yes we have missed out on income but when the poorer option is still beyond all possible income sources for you then I really wouldn't be making a big song and dance about it. It's not the first time in the past week one of you have tried to score a point and in reality just highlighted the gulf further, you really aren't too good at this point scoring game are you?

Enjoyed that 90 minute capitulation last night no end but now we've had our wee laugh we shouldn't underestimate just how significant that result could have on our recovery.

Don't get me wrong Rangers will find a way back to the top no matter what, I firmly believe that. Should however the manky mob suffer the same fate this time next year again then the financial gap that exists between us will close a hell of a lot quicker.

The current salary range they are paying to service a big squad must still be met and I'm betting the decision to add 10k a week Scott Allan to that bill is already a rueful one. Liewell knows it,Desmond knows it ,so cue the sharp exit of Van Dijk and maybe more to help Ballance their books.

I'm in danger of focusing too much on them here so let me be clear, I've highlighted these points only to show the potential timescale of our return to the top spot.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

26 Aug 2015 12:35:01
Garza don't kid yourself mate,we and every other team in the top league will be competing with them next season, ffs they are living on an over draught ,so you watch the downsizing over there it's imminent mate IMO,all there big earners will be chased out the door, watch this spot.they will be shopping in the scot allan department store for years to come, the banks will make sure of that.

Agree1 Disagree2

26 Aug 2015 12:43:10
You've also got to remember, Celtic could go out & spend Β£20-30m if required, and I believe Rangers will also have defensive frailties against better opposition.
Celtic at the moment are winning most games in spl easily, but when better opposition steps in, the mistakes are highlighted more, but agree Celtic have stood dormant and raking money in for the share holders

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 12:43:39
I've a couple of wee points I want to make.

We need to stop thinking about or moaning about other clubs. Don't get sucked into petty tit for tat arguments with other teams supporters. Let's keep this site about us and our Club.

I'm loving the improvements the management and team have made so far this season but let's keep our feet on the ground and not get too carried away. There's still a long way to go and no doubt a few disappointments along the way.

Good luck to Darren McGregor. It's his career so let him get on with it.

Also a few players will probably be leaving soon. Permanently and on loan. All the best to them too.

Celtic to signed John Eustace to cover over the cracks of another scary night in Europe. Pitty Celtic fans, their club feeds them peanuts and make propaganda signing like Allan. BTW Scott Allan joined Celtic for European football didn't even get a seat on the plane to Sweden, won't feature in the Europa league. Big Dick Van Dyke will be on the move now so he's not cup tied for Europa League. Celtic out of Europe twice before Christmas again is looking likely. Well it is an improvement on last season when they went out of it 3 times. I have one thing to say to the Celtic trolls on this site. At least we don't play like we are "DEID" club.

But that's the difference Scotty,me and my fellow champs supporters would never smile at being in Scotlands 2nd tier! But if in your mind u actually believe that garbage u just spouted then charge in mate hahaha! It just shows me how far your "big club" has fell when the best part of your season is hoping we don't make the CL! Remember the days when the old rangers used to try and actually get into the CL! Now all u can do is hope the champs don't! Haha! And Scotlands "most successful club" can't even win the petrofact cup! We all know last night was a let down! But we're still many levels above what u can put on the pitch! I was going to use the we welcome the chase line I've heard on here, but u actually need to be in the same league as the champs before the chase begins! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

Agree3 Disagree2

26 Aug 2015 12:33:52
We fully accept that we are in the 2nd tier of Scottish football (can't seen anyone on here who doesn't) and are on the rise, playing the best football we have seen in years and possibly the most shrewd management team we have had since the Souness revolution.

What timothies like you can't seem to accept is that your team is average and a big fish in a very small pond at best. Your team were in contention for the CL by default rather than design, due to having no real competitors in the top league. You think your world beaters and believe all of the propaganda and dross that flows from Lawwells desk. Yass was the cry when you signed Allan (good luck to him) due to it sticking one to the Sevconians. great transfer policy there and now stuck with a Β£520k a year wage for a player that won't be used within a club that has no Europe after Christmas. You are laughable at best and all too ready to roll out that good old persecution complex that seems to be well engrained into the celtic psyche.

Maybe in future you should think twice about trawling Rangers boards shouting your mouth off with the agenda to wind up and think of what may be around the corner. God knows we have had to learn that over the last few years. Hawhawhaw

26 Aug 2015 12:38:35

Allowing guys like Gallacher and Mcgregor to move on to rivals is another example of Warburton class. He has had time to conclude that they would barely feature in his squad. He seems to appreciate the boys careers are more important than being a petty goon and refusing them moves to close competitors. Bravo Warburton, bravo.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

26 Aug 2015 11:50:21
Do you honestly think that Warburton had any choice in the matter? The wage bill needs to be reduced.

Abhabh the only reason the wage bill is being reduced is to bring in better player with the money saved.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 12:46:56
Of course he had a choice, McGregor had clearly not done enough to impress in training. McGregor can't deal with cross balls, the amount of goals we conceded last year from crossed balls or corners which he failed to deal with, no doubt McCoist handed him a bumper contract, so why would Warburton want a high earner who is 4 place CB. he's 30 years old and has come back from 2 career threatening knee injuries. It was mutually beneficial to both parties to tear up the contract. It's the biggest sign yet of how far the team have come under Warburton that our best player of last season (which by the way should have been Wallace)can't even get a sniff.

We can hoot - but just means getting back to CL now much harder for us - we could not beat malmo when we at our height, now malmo get Β£20m, and other teams like them now they can take the Scottish champ place in CL.

When we win SPFL - we will face 6 matches to get to CL - and teams like malmo will be ready to grab the Β£20m and stop us.

this huge set back - Sept and no Scottish teams in Europe.

I think that there are far too many posters on here losing the run of themselves as to our current ability. The idea that we are anywhere near Celtic is at best wildly optimistic. We have nowhere near as good a squad as they have, nowhere near as good a backroom set up as they have, nowhere near the money they have. We are light years behind Celtic and assuming we get promoted this season we are still not even guaranteed 2nd place for the next few seasons. Aberdeen and Hearts are realistic targets to aim for for the next couple of seasons. No doubt Celtic can outspend us if there is ever any danger of us challenging them.

The optimism is laudable but let's not get carried away until we face a top class premiership team.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

26 Aug 2015 05:51:49
There are several points here.

Firstly, after the past three or four years a bit of optimism after a good run like we have had is to be expected. I don't really think anybody has go overly carried away to be honest and it is a refreshing change.

Secondly, it is difficult to gauge the difference at the moment between us and them. Until the teams actually play each other it will not truly be known. They are not covering themselves in glory on the field at the moment as was shown by their lackluster performance and consequent result against a team that is fifth in the Swedish league.

Finally, and crucially, Rangers are quite frankly, to use your words 'lightyears' away from where they were 6 months ago. Ce*&ic on the other hand have stood still at best. The gap is closing and fast, how fast we won't know until the time comes when we are in the Premier league. Hearts are on the up and to an extend Aberdeen are on the up and to reiterate Cel*&ic aren't.

If I was one of them I would be worried. They have their house in order, financially sound, admirable facilities and a monopoly on the league title for the last 4 years, but they have not taken advantage and that is to our benefit. They could have been out of sight.

OP, how about a wee smile now and again and go with the flow, after all, we don't know how long it will last.

JFC - you make some good points. And I am impressed with the improvements on the pitch. But my point is that there are posters on here who genuinely believe we are capable of beating Celtic and challenging for the premiership and that this is utter nonsense. We do not have a single player who would make the Celtic squad.

More worrying though - and this is the area most people seem to ignore - is that off the pitch we are in dire straits. You are right that we are light years from where we were 6 months ago - back then we were listed on AIM with a billionaire backing us. Now we have been delisted with no prospect of that changing and we have a criminal chairman.

People will call me negative but these are probably the same people who ignored the warning signs back in 2011.

Hard to say just yet how close we will be to Celtic this time next season especially as I think they will likely have a new manager.

Ronny Delia is average at best, he fails to get the best out of players and Berget illustrates that point perfectly and he also has no real idea of the worth of a player, ie Cifti, worth one and a half million? Really? His tactics last night were woeful and the passing pathetic. Likewise he obviously can't instill any confidence in his team on the big occasion. Strange that so many Celtic fans rate him but hey ho, they can be a strange lot and I suppose far too many of us were willing to put up with the gardener for years.

In summary, I pray the Ronnie stays on in his job.

Abhabh you say that none of our players would get into their team. You're not telling me izzaguire and mulgrew are better than Wallace? Infact I went onto their site to see what was being said and one of them actually asked if they could steal Wallace from us.
