Assuming Wallace not fit for St Johnstone match how do you think we should replace him?
1. Tav at RB and Hodson at LB
2. KIernan at RB and Hodson at LB
3. Aird at RB and Hodson at LB
4. Hodson at RB and Halliday at LB
I would go for option 2 keeping Tav in mid field. Unless we up the tempo and pace from the weekend we will lose to SJ.

Assuming he's unavailable. Sure it'll be Tavernier in at RB. Hodson at LB. Miller coming into the Tavernier role in midfield.
Similar to the way the team set up against Aberdeen at Ibrox.

I know he will not be doing the same job as Wallace, but why not put Wilson out there? If you want someone galloping down the wing, try MacKay there- just don't expect him to make a tackle.

Maybe you should read what I actually wrote before spouting off. I didn't say a best team or best 11 selected from the past 50 years. A bit of imagination required I'm afraid and that may be too hard a task for some. Would the 3 I mentioned make some of the good teams we've had in the past and to that I say yes they would.

Even reading your original post again, I still can't see any of the these players being a certain first pick in any of the teams we have had in the past I would concede that Barry MacKay has the potential but has to gaimuch more strength physically and mentally before he even gets close.

I can't see peoples problem with fod! He's a good shot stopper and doesn't make many mistakes in the keeping department. Very agile and pulls off saves that he shouldn't. We wouldn't have had 3 point on sat if it wasn't for him. Yes people complain about his distribution but its clearly what the manager has instructed him to do so why would he do anything different?

Tossing my penny's worth into the Wilson debate, I rate him as one of 3 players who'd make teams of the past 50 or so years, McKay and Foderingham being the other 2. I agree Hill's shown his ability but then play him alongside Wilson and bench Kiernan and before anyone says yeah but they're both left footed, so what, no one complains when we have 2 right footed centre backs.

kfraser. Can't agree with your opinion I'm afraid. The only current player who'd make it into a best team of the last 50 years would be Kenny Miller imo. Mckay has still to fulfil his potential and I do think Wilson and Mckay have class. Rossiter, Windass and Garner could all go on to be Rangers legends but I'll reserve judgement for now. On a lighter note, Thistlecrack is a fine Scottish-named horse who could win the big race at Kempton Park today. Have a few quid to win!

Think too much Christmas spirit consumed by some. I believe that Wilson should be the team although cannot say any member of the current squad would be included in the best team of the last 50 years I watched the Inverness game on RTV yesterday and got to say we were fortunate to get 3 points. Agree that Hill is the best CH and natural defender we have, also that he has character and provides leadership. For a CH Wilson has great passing ability and has mastered Beckanbaur style the long defence splitting pass that can change defence into attach in a second. For me the answer is simple and easy that Hill and Wilson should be the central defensive pairing.
