Warbs wants murty? Supercoop where do you get this crap from? The guy got us a draw at parkhead and conducted himself very well when in charge. Warbs wants him at forest. Pure mince.

26 Mar 2017 20:35:49
This is the man who exclusively revealed we were signing O'Hallaron btw! Show a bit of respect!

26 Mar 2017 21:34:06
Would murty want to go to notts forest if he has ambitions its a ni brainer rangers or notts forrest

27 Mar 2017 00:05:48
Supercoop,

By the sounds of Govanite you are a reliable source of info.
Any news on who will be Caixinha number 3 in his coaching team?

27 Mar 2017 00:09:50
Djab, it's a rumours site and passing on what i heard as a rumour that warbs was interested in taking murty to forest! that's all my friend, nothing more, nothing less! Its quite self explanatory, really!

27 Mar 2017 19:21:40
Was it not Warbs that brought Murty to Rangers? Seems feasible

28 Mar 2017 14:32:24
To be fair warbs wants most people from his previous clubs. Hopefully he takes kiernan and halliday. 200k and he can have both.

28 Mar 2017 18:19:54
What a way to speak about players who play for our club. Sad really, I'll support kiernan, halliday, namouchis of our club the same way I would support the prsos, laudraups and de boers. They players go out and try there best and it may not be what we were used to 10 years ago but times change.

28 Mar 2017 21:52:38
Try their best? Is that what it comes down to with you? Thankfully you will never run a team then. Kiernan and Halliday are awful and if we ever want to start challenging for the title we need much better than them.

29 Mar 2017 14:52:05
Yeah we do need better, but every player plays a part. The way people talk about some of our players are disgusting, just like the way some Scotland fans booed Chris Martin it's shocking. I remember fans booing amoruso and Peter lovenkrands and speaking this way about kanchelskis after 1 game, how wrong they were.

We need better we all know this but it doesn't help players getting slated and booed off their own fans.

26 Mar 2017 16:13:08
Don't know his situation right now but my pick for number 3, would be big dado prso.
Only if available of course.

26 Mar 2017 17:46:16
What do you base that on my friend?

27 Mar 2017 11:22:52
I know Dado has done his coaching badges and some coaching. ( correct me if wrong)

But mostly his passion, his desire and undoubted Technical quality and could maybe teach our squad a thing or 2 about running through brick walls to play for us.
I suppose you could argue the same for BF, but it's just a different name than the ones usually mentioned.

Again I don't know his situation and may already have a good role in Croatia.

But for me if johansen gets a interview then so should dado.

26 Mar 2017 14:20:04
Crooks just scored again. I'd be recalling him to be honest!

26 Mar 2017 15:55:41
He's turning it on at his level.

26 Mar 2017 18:37:43
Yeah he is. League 1 level which is on a par, maybe higher than SPL standards. I always thought he would turn into one of our best signings.

🔴⚪🔵

27 Mar 2017 00:21:56
He might still, all he can do is work hard where he is i'm sure our manager will be keeping an eye on him! Still think he is different to what we have in midfield at present and if he does finish the season off strongly then he's in the mix for next season

27 Mar 2017 12:56:28
Agree Nic861, think this lad can still come good and great to see him getting a regular game and scoring. Believe he was thrown under a bus in that first Tynecastle disaster in November.

26 Mar 2017 14:24:16
After reading a few reports regarding King giving Caixinha a significant Transfer Budget! By the sounds of it I initially thought something between 5-6 million but i'm now thinking King and the Board have held money back and I've a feelin a Budget of anything around 10-12 million could be possible! Just hope that players do not stay just for a few extra quid at Ibrox i hope that we would at least loan players and recoup as much of their wages from the other Club rather than go down the route of paying players off also if they don't go. What's your thoughts Bears?

26 Mar 2017 15:39:00
10-12 million? Absolutely no chance.

26 Mar 2017 16:05:15
Andy 1872.best laugh Iv`e had all weekend, King making £10-£12M Available for players, surely your not serious.

Guys like yourself that King aims all his overspend bull straight at.

Same speak, same time last year, over investment. sort out Ashley.
challenge Celtic. back the manager. nobody likes us but i`ll fight them all speech.

Must be season book renewal time or groundhog day.

26 Mar 2017 18:26:20
Nice to know you care so much Benny

26 Mar 2017 14:09:04
JJ is now an option for No. 3 post and he's apparently a dark horse due to his knowledge and contacts Down South and in Europe.

But this is what infuriates me Bears, surely we must utilise ex-players like Mols Amo Prso etc ask them to inform us of any hidden talent in their Country? If JJ does not get the position then surely we invite him to Auchinhowe to have a sit down with hopefully Rae to pass on knowledge and hook him up with his contacts.

Sure we would pay JJ for his services, but again do we utilise ex-players? And if not why! If anybody knows the situation regarding our ways of scouting or even how we go about getting info from Europe etc please inform. it drives me nuts to think that we do not use our guys abroad.

Also I think Pedro is the exact opposite of Warbs regarding bringing in players where Warbs stuck to England Pedro's knowledge will be mostly Latin Europe and South America.

so think we might see a player from SA arrive which is something I would love to see, a fast technical winger or creative midfielder to smash the SPFL.

Anyways what's your thoughts on why we do not utilise ex-players?

27 Mar 2017 00:20:56
I see your point but i doubt we have been in position to do so over the last 5 years. To give an example historically we signed tugay who was recommended by souness and edu who was recommended by mo johnston. can't recall the manager, maybe walter smith but did john brown not suggest signing vardy years back.

So we did go down that route previously. With being in lower divisions any players suggested by ex players would surely either not have been within our price range or wouldn't be willing to move from denmark Spain italy etc to our lower divisions.

Re this season as we all know mw could win 1st prize in a stubbornness contest. Unless its someone on his daughters books i doubt he would give any ex players opinions on signings a thought. Hopefully going forwards we can tap into ex players thoughts as we still do not have an indepth scouting dept.

26 Mar 2017 12:57:54
See crooks is playing defensive midfielder today against Bradford. Doing simple things well.

26 Mar 2017 15:42:23
Yeh, scored the winner again.

26 Mar 2017 12:16:37
Not so much a rumour but would like the opinions of fellow bears: I'm hoping the management team can spot some talent in the spfl and get Jamie Walker and Liam Lindsay signed. 2 potentially class players that you would hope are within our budget. I would say Jamie walker is an improvement on Barrie Mckay but for the right hand side obviously. Lindsay looking a better player than Kiernan. Basically I want to see our team get an injection of Scottish!

Also all the best to either Barry Ferguson or John Brown for the No3 role.

26 Mar 2017 13:40:23
Hearts will want a mint for walker and I don't think will sell to us. Lindsay plays for partick so might get him heard good things about ryan jack as well and he's out of contract.

26 Mar 2017 13:24:12
Ogbear, i mentioned on here several months ago now, that i hoped rangers would make a move to sign partick thistle centre half, big liam lindsay! He's a very good prospect IMO!

26 Mar 2017 13:49:42
I don't want Rangers to spend on any Scottish based players. If we get them for nowt then yes go for them. Scottish football turned their backs on us and wanted us dead.

26 Mar 2017 15:41:34
Don't understand why someone like Forrest is in the Scotland side while Walker isn't even in the squad.

Would love him at Ibrox.

26 Mar 2017 19:24:52
TBV, are you sure you're not a Celtic fan with that level of bitterness? It's only a game man.

26 Mar 2017 23:55:11
Jamie Walker is an excellent player and certainly would be a great addition to the squad.

27 Mar 2017 12:08:24
I would take Liam Lindsay, Jason Cummings and Jack Baird. All 4 will be internationals at some point. Jaime walker is good but don't know if he is quite good enough.

28 Mar 2017 11:15:25
I don't rate Jack Baird but I would definitely be happy with Walker, Cummings, Liam Lindsay and Ryan Jack! All future Scotland Internationals I reckon

28 Mar 2017 11:16:05
Stevie Mallan could also be a good shout too!

26 Mar 2017 10:13:54
Been reading the posts on here about the lack of youngsters playing football. I have been a youth football coach for a lot of years. There are some terrific young players out there. There are still some very dedicated hard working lads. Part of the problem as I see it is the lack of scouting systems in Scottish football. I had one of the top boys club teams, regularly winning leagues and cups. I could count on 1 hand the amount of scouts at our games. So much potential being missed. I don't think the development of our young players is a priority for our clubs. Players can be got by throwing a few quid. Why put in the hard work in cold wet Scottish nights/ mornings/ afternoons 3-4 times a week. There's no dedication.

26 Mar 2017 11:11:02
True sandy if they do get picked by team 99 per cent of them get dropped which puts them off football

26 Mar 2017 11:16:37
I do agree with you there, but when kids are at pro youth and at a top boys quite often them and their parents think they have made it when they are the start of a long journey. Parental guidance has to be good and realistic the more grounded the support the better the chance. Also we must make them aware of the social problems in society drugs and drink are still the biggest downfalls for youngsters today we can't stop it but we must give them something that feels like the better option

26 Mar 2017 11:22:14
I think that is a problem aswell the kids who do want to play and are dedicated don't get a look in cause the finance isn't there for teams to spend proper time with them and give them the proper coaching or support them through the times where it is hard
