Putting everything to the side for now just like to say rip Davie provan.

26 Nov 2016 22:27:48
great player, underrated and a true servant to the club. Good career in England also. RIP.

27 Nov 2016 00:29:22
Big davie provan an absolute gent had the pleasure of meeting the great man.

27 Nov 2016 12:03:04
Remember meeting Davie in the 9 in a row season in his car at the stadium wth my Da and getting his autograph. He was so excited about the thought of us homing in on the 9 and an absolute gentleman in to the bargain. RIP Davie🔴⚪️🔵.

26 Nov 2016 18:55:36
well done joe dodoo, loooks better though the middle. maybe needs a run of games. think warburtons head shake was just releif and frustration with performance.

26 Nov 2016 19:40:55
At Dodoos age though we can't expect him to play like that week after week.

Saying that though, twice he's came off the bench in the last two games and has effectively been a big part in the team having six points from two and not two from two.

His assist for the HF goal against Dundee was inch perfect.

This is pretty much the same team that won us the second division apart from Windass and Garner, and Windass came off at half time to be replaced by McKay, another main stay in the team last season.

Second place is what we expected, second is where we are, without Barton, Rossiter, Kranjcar, and Windass, Holt and Waghorn have had injuries throughout as well. Not to mention McKay not playing as well as many expected.

That's an entire midfield to front line that has had issues this season, yet we're still 2nd.

26 Nov 2016 20:10:40
Thorn76

Is Dembele not the same age as Dodoo? So your point about age is irrelevant. As for being second we have played a game more than Aberdeen and let's see what position we are come 1st Jan. The team is rank rotten and play the same predictable way we were extremely lucky today and the football is poor. We are miles and miles away from competing for the league and until we get a better manager and some heavy investment in the team then we will be competing for a distant 2nd Place.

26 Nov 2016 20:25:19
Full of positivity there biffo.

Comparing Dodoo to Dembele is daft, Dembele has played a helluva lot more games than Joe and will be on a much larger weekly wage! Give the lad a chance and let's see what happens!

U want to change the manager? Short sighted in my opinion and would be a mistake. Do you think with our budgetsquad we should be top of the league?

26 Nov 2016 20:37:06
Biggest worry is not the tactics it's the fact that not one of our players has improved since we signed him, without exception. Is part of the managers job not to coach player and make them better?

26 Nov 2016 20:47:42
Would any bear really be upset if any players left during the January window?

And for our chairman to be talking about us 'doing a Leicester' is about the most ridiculous statement I have heard all year. We are Scotland's biggest club as Warbs said yesterday. The only way we could do a Leicester would be winning a European trophy.

Finally second might sound okay but if we're a country mile behind Celtic then there's no way I'll be happy.

26 Nov 2016 21:51:32
Naz think he meant that it is not always the biggest spender that wins, Leicester won EPL spending comparatively less than wealthier clubs. In January would let Waggy go at the £1m rumoured to be available.

27 Nov 2016 02:13:22
A million? You might want to knock a zero off that!

27 Nov 2016 11:49:29
PeterHuistra

I said that they are the same age which they are so don't know what your talking about. I also said in my post that under Warburton we will never win the league so that's why I want him removed. The team don't play good football and we have struggled in all of our league games Bar one. If your happy with Warburton then that's up to you however I'm not and many others feel the same.

27 Nov 2016 11:53:52
Fd

Would be doing extremely well to get £500k for Waghorn. Would like to see a few moved on in January however can't see anyone commanding decent money and feel not many clubs would be interested in our players.

27 Nov 2016 12:04:53
Wonder how long chocolate hammys windass will be out this time.

27 Nov 2016 22:20:05
Although today wasn't our best performance hopefully it will mean that Dodoo now gets a run up top with Miller and 'arry . For me JD has more to offer than Garner in terms of pace, movement and finnishing so must get a run as we have some huge games coming up next 4/ 5 weeks.

As much as the first goal was a great finnish techinically, I loved the fact JD had composure to take a touch with clock ticking down last few seconds and on a poor surface and then slot it in the corner to win the game. There's huge pressure on players to play for our great club some buckle under it and some thrive let's hope Warbs has found us a gem in JD.

Last word goes to Miller thought he was great today again intelligent movement all day and 2 more crucial assists

FORZA.

26 Nov 2016 17:14:50
Manager didn't seem happy when we scored winner in 94th minute - he was shaking his head?

If didn't know better would have thought he was the PT manager!

What was that all about - unhappy that Dodoo gave away possession by "passing" into the net?

28 Nov 2016 09:15:23
Jesus are you serious? It was obviously a shake of the head that it took us until the 93rd minute to win and a shake of frustration due to the performance, christ.

26 Nov 2016 17:14:50

26 Nov 2016 14:52:55
Another disappointing day but we are showing that we are very difficult to beat (just trying to be positive) . I've said for a while now that Dodoo should be given a chance and he's shown he can do it. Forrester too. We are 2nd in the SPL after all so could have been much worse.

26 Nov 2016 17:21:23
I agree that dodoo needs a run of games garner has been tried and not doing it and miller is off the boil.

What's bothering me is that MW clearly is a one trick pony. Plan A is not good enough and his substitutions just give us fresh legs not an alternative.

Game today very poor football that you see in lower leagues in England, not level you would expect with our wage bill.

26 Nov 2016 17:46:39
I think the manager deserves a break. If Brendan Rodgers brings a sub on t and he scores 2 goals to win game he's hailed a genius yet mw still getting flak from some fans. I know game was dire today but we got the points I would take lucky every week.

26 Nov 2016 17:50:34
Not being funny here but don't know what miller your watching i thought he covered nearly every blade of grass and his assists to boot.

26 Nov 2016 19:05:52
Miller played well and Dodoo took both his goals well. Struggling to see why we spent so much money on Garner! Dodoo deserves a start every week.

26 Nov 2016 20:15:22
Jaws

Yeah but in reality that won't happen and the team are poor. Rodgers is a far better manager than Warburton and until we get a better manager in and give him some serious cash then we will have to get used to being miles behind Celtic. Even if we do finish second we will be 25-30 points behind them and that is unacceptable.

26 Nov 2016 20:57:27
Miller set both goals up.

26 Nov 2016 14:40:19
is it me or does Garner make the think of Filip Sebo ?

26 Nov 2016 14:52:30
I need to agree wee bill. He hasn't done anything that impresses me I will be honest. Runs about like a headless chicken then lunges into daft tackles like he's a hard nut. Hopeless.

26 Nov 2016 15:02:30
Think he played in a 4 4 2 at previous clubs, playing up by himself doesn't help him.

26 Nov 2016 15:08:26
Hate to say i told you so but i did lol.

Before he arrived at Ibrox i said garner would be an empty jersey and the Warburton was clueless if he thought garner was worth £1.8 mil and so it has proved.

Warbs shouldn't see a penny of anything we may have to spend in Jan.

26 Nov 2016 15:13:28
bit harsh, last week we were saying he played well and provided as edge against Dundee. Great to see him being one of first to congratulate Dodoo at the end.

26 Nov 2016 20:16:44
He clearly isn't the answer. Runs about giving away stupid fouls and it's only a matter of time before he gets sent off.

27 Nov 2016 06:21:34
Head of recruitment and scouting isn't Warbs it is Frank Macparland. And if you think he isn't good at his job you are deluded. I think he will come good and i like his work rate. It's the supply that is the problem and our reliance on pushing the ball to the wings but not actually getting a decent cross in or trying a through ball behind a defense that is literally sat on the goalies lap! The pitch was bobbly and sticky yesterday, you could see that when Windass/ Mckay and Tavs were trying to run with the ball.

27 Nov 2016 15:46:54
Garner is like Sebo? He's not that good.

26 Nov 2016 14:39:47
Who gets pass marks for that performance? I reckon only Harry and Dodoo!
Pace and energy badly needed. The middle of the park can't frustrate me anymore than it does at the minute. Shocking!

26 Nov 2016 15:01:19
Can't fault Dodoo though Forrester doesn't impress me as Rangers quality. Wilson and Foderingham did well and the rest mediocrity personified. Midfield is dead and the loss of Kranjcar glaringly apparent. Why Warburton got shot of McGregor and Gasparotto to make way for Kiernan is one of football's great mysteries. Miller taking a corner, the plot is indeed lost.

26 Nov 2016 16:25:58
Id happily drop halliday and holt they seem to have lost their way at present.

26 Nov 2016 19:08:42
Nic_861, They haven't lost their way, they are just not good enough for the Top League. Halliday at least gives 100% and works hard for the team but Holt just looks out of his depth.

26 Nov 2016 20:18:28
TOMUSA

Totally agree both Halliday and Holt aren't good enough at this level. Holt far too lightweight and although he runs about doesn't really achieve much. Halliday very slow and guilty of being caught in possession and giving the ball away too much.

26 Nov 2016 20:19:32
TOMUSA, Halliday doesn't cut it at this level and today he left our defence woefully exposed on several occasions. He slows the game down and instead of playing a simple forward pass into space with his weaker right foot, would rather play a backward pass. Holt at least tries to find space and to link up with others but he needs too long on the ball at times. The strange thing is that, with the exception of the Celtic games, we've had more possession even when we've played teams with five midfielders to our three. It's not just a little bit of craft we're missing from our midfield but missing any basic qualities. If you can't play with two feet then you can't play in a 4-3-3 formation.

26 Nov 2016 21:01:26
Pass marks you say scotty123.Surely kenny miller as he set up BOTH joe dodoo's goals. Said on here many times, kenny miller would ALWAYS be in my starting 11.Great professional and a total thoroughbred! Imo a possible future rangers manager!

26 Nov 2016 14:36:04
Well done dodoo hope ya get your chance in Team . but there's no killer pass or striker in box for as to finish teams off . BIG QUESTION
MARK OVER WARBURTON LOL.

26 Nov 2016 15:25:29
Very positive second half and 3 positive substitutes. Think need to give the manager at least some of the credit. Expect Dodoo and Miller to start against Hearts. Hope we see Crooks sometime soon. Expect Wednesday to be a battle and really hope we are up for it.

26 Nov 2016 16:21:19
Positive second half? Not fae where I was watching freezing my bullocks off! Played OK last ten mins when pushing that's it. Positives- we won from 2 cracking dodoo goals but it's papering over the cracks! Were so slow and pedestrian it's unbelievable still Warburton thinks we play good football? Having a lot of ball doesn't mean we play well! Goalie to defender to fullback to midfielder to winger to defender to goalie, it's absolutely brutal! Who can seriously still support Warburton after that?

26 Nov 2016 17:03:03
Totally agree big blue Ayr can't see where we are supppsed to be improving under Warburton. Lucky today and the football was again predictable, one paced and lacking a cutting edge. Whole team needs an upheaval starting with the hapless manager.

26 Nov 2016 17:51:51
I didn't even get in till almost 20 mins gone few I was with contemplated going n watching it in pub just glad I stayed last 10 made it just about worth the money. On a brighter note looks like Alan pardew n Alex Neil may be out of work this week what do folk on here think of that?

26 Nov 2016 19:47:50
@bigblue Ayr - could we afford either? Plus no cash for players so would either be interested?

26 Nov 2016 21:05:45
If they're out of work they're out of work mate! Crystal palace and norwich city DON'T interest me!

26 Nov 2016 21:11:41
U not honestly think any one of them would do a better job than our excuse for a football manager.

27 Nov 2016 02:19:16
Alex Neil hates Rangers, but maybe one of those clubs will come in for Warburton, if we're lucky.

27 Nov 2016 21:55:46
I back the manager we have mate, pure and simple. Judge him and the team at the end of the season when we take stock to where we've finished in the league. If he were to be changed at the end of the season then i could think of quite a few who i'd like as our manager, well in front of pardew and Neill!

26 Nov 2016 13:04:14
I couldn't watch another half like that. I'm away to sweep up the leaves on my drive.
And another thing, if the shopping had of been done correctly in the summer we wouldn't need to hope there will be better business done in January.

26 Nov 2016 13:20:36
Spot on! Third level players giving a third rate performance under a third rate manager!
These are the facts as witnessed by our own eyes!

26 Nov 2016 13:35:55
It's so boring and predictable I could greet. This is the worst Rangers team that has played at the top level in Scotland. Think we will be stuck with these players for a couple of seasons as no one will put in any offers with what we have and these sub standard performances having been going on far too long.

26 Nov 2016 14:10:57
Simple question for the clueless one _Why isn't Dodoo starting?

26 Nov 2016 14:11:11
How we managed to win that i don't know.

26 Nov 2016 14:11:34
Very very fortunate. Rangers must improve massively against Hearts. Being honest, we didn't deserve the 3 points but I'll take it.

26 Nov 2016 14:38:33
Three points is three points but we could so easily have lost that game and we will nee to play a lot better against Hearts. Thistle had chances and a better team would have scored two or three. Our team is leaderless on the park and Kiernan and Wilson don't look comfortable together. Our midfield lacks quality, Holt and Halliday are average players, not good enough at this level although at least Halliday gives some commitment. Garner is a waste of a jersey. Dodoo took his goals well and deserves a starting slot and we really need to see what Crooks is capable of. He cannot surely be any worse than what is there at the moment. As for bringing in players in January, if Garner is anything to go by I would worry at what we might sign!

26 Nov 2016 14:39:45
Yes agree although 2 great goals from the lad Dodoo. Good to see Wilson back in the team. As much as MW does not like to admit we need more passion and physicality in the team.

26 Nov 2016 15:40:14
TOMUSA on the point you made earlier about Wallace not being a good leader, do you think given the chance that Wilson could be our captain? he did well with Hearts and was a commanding presence in their defence?

26 Nov 2016 13:50:43
Enough is enough taxi for warbs!

26 Nov 2016 19:14:16
Wee Bill, that is a good point. Wilson did a very good job with Hearts.

26 Nov 2016 20:07:48
Still the same negative drivel from all you supposed supporters.

All experts in nothing. get behind your team and accept that we are a long way along a tough road back to where we want to be.

No cheap fixes and expensive fixes awash e are where we are. Time is all the the current board. believe me if DK does not believe MW make sufficient progress he'll move him on.

BTW, of course everyone is entitled to a opinion, it's just that so many of you would be more appropriate on the Celtic pages.

26 Nov 2016 21:05:51
br65, Do you actually go and watch these games! We're dreadful, Warburton says there's no gap between us and celtic. Going on today and weeks gone past, evidence there's no gap from us to Partick, ross county or Hamilton. Can you honestly try and say we're improving? It's incredible if any of you actually think that.

26 Nov 2016 21:15:04
GmacD you say witnessed with my own eyes, can you witness it with someone else's eyes?

26 Nov 2016
The real time live chat page is open for today's Rangers match at the below link for you to talk to each other during the match

26 Nov 2016 13:06:26
There is not one Rangers player worth their wage. Was just a matter of time Garner got booked. We are so so slow on the counter attack. Poor poor display. Still, there's still another 45 mins to go. Probably another boring draw but obviously hope not.

26 Nov 2016 15:31:34
Good half time pep talk Gor!

26 Nov 2016 17:02:55
Cheers fd.

26 Nov 2016 09:34:16
Guys can we please put this red bull rumour to bed it would never get ff the ground for a number of reasons

Red bull already have invested in 2 clubs salzburg and leipzig which according to uefa if both qualify for the same tournament i. e champions league is not allowed which would cause more problems for them if we were qualify be interesting to see what they do in that regard come the summer if both them in europe
Also they changed everything regarding salzburg right down to the strip and have made them unrecognisable to the point the fans are trying to start a new team would we really want this?
Why would be happy with this sort of investment its dangerous look at what's happened with sports directs investments. i'm coming to terms with the fact that we have no money and its going to take years to reach celtics level but let's not rush into crazy investments again try and do it the proper way
Also as king stated yesterday red bull are not rangers men so he wouldn't want there investment anyway.

26 Nov 2016 17:21:36
" to the point the fans were trying to start a new team" and they say rangers fans don't do irony, lol 😁.

26 Nov 2016 21:00:59
Slydog, its not buying the club that i've heard red bull are doing, regarding rangers. Its taking over from 32Red as our new shirt sponsors, starting after this season, when our current 3 year deal with 32Red expires!

I've also heard that its a lot more money for our club, than our current deal with 32Red. Also been told that there's a possibility that red bull will become our energy drinks partner, with the possibility of a stand being sponsored and named after them. Not actually owning and buying our club matey!

27 Nov 2016 10:11:11
Its still dual interests is it not? Same as ashley and newcastle, I didn't say they would own us but have you seen what they have done to the clubs they have invested in? Stop chasing a sugar daddy.
