As soon as I come on with valid points concerning the longevity of our current strategy people lose there minds - ‘must be a troll’, ‘must be a tim’. why, because I’m not a sheep and don’t bury my head in the sand? Open your eyes and see the truth. I swear the loan players will play every game in Europe and old firm regardless of form. Other than Goldson getting injured or playing 3 at the back Katic will not get a game in Europe or old firm!

But you make it sound as if we don't have any players of our own starting - 7 of the 11 that started last night were ours, the 4 who weren't included Kent and Ejaria who have been really good of late - could it be they are there on merit? Coulibaly was immense before the international break and Worral has been rock solid. can't fault them being picked. And maybe if we are lucky we might be able to sign a couple of them permanently so they will have gained great experience.

Hope i'm wrong, but although kent wants to sign permanently for us, its going to be hard to get him! We have the stevie G factor and that most certainly, is in our favour! We just pipped leeds utd, to sign ryan kent, on loan in the first place.
Leeds utd still want him permanently, along with aston villa!
All depends i suppose, how if and how much, liverpool would be willing to sell kent for! Would love him permanently as he's a tremendous young winger! I feel we will get coulibaly, permanently! Would hope to get ejaria and worrall also on permanent deals, but just can't see it!

Brilliant Bluepete, do you do comedy for a living? You’ve got to be the funniest guy on this forum! Anyway back to business some good points made and some not (bluepete I’m guessing you’ll know what category your in, the latter in case you didn’t realise. ‘Latter’ means second) I’m all for signing Kent and Coulibaly however, I just can’t see it. Back to my original point, regardless of form these loanees will play the big games, nobody can think that’s good for Rangers long term.

Yes he's showing something now but you can't say it was "plain to see" from the beginning that he was a class act.

Well I saw it from his first game tbh, so yes I'm saying it was plain as the nose on my face. Not saying he played well but some of his touches were sublime and you could see by the way he carries himself that he is a special player. Good enough?

He's a good player seeker definitely not special yes got some nice touches and there's a cracking player in there. The people who say he slows it down n holds on to it too long definitely have a point also imo, at times he just needs to be sharper with his decision making. Been a cracling loan signing tho, and I believe he will get better.

poor tactics cost us the win last night. grezda on instead of lafferty and candeias on way too long . we were crying out for a six yard box man all game. morelos positional sense for a striker stinks --sfter his yellow he should have been hooked---middleton for 6 minutes or so was a joke.

I tend to agree with you that middleton should have been on quicker, but cast your mind back to where we were last year, at this stage in europe, OUT! Disagree with you totally regarding morelos last night, as again i thought he was terrific! He brings everything to our team and can play the lone striker role superbly! I totally back our manager steven gerrard to the hilt and in already a short space of time, he's been very impressive, in building his rangers team! Get behind our manager and the positive effect he's already had on our club, has been immense! He's only just started building rangers, and we'll only get better and better! Gerrard will IMO go on to be a top manager! So professional and knows the game inside out!

OK it wasn’t one of their best showings (second half), but they did what was necessary and we're not defeated, unlucky a few times, but this is still a new team binding together and once they really click someone is in for a hiding. Celtic supporters can’t talk about any one in Europe, once they go out of their comfort zone (Scottish League) they are useless.

If l was told a year ago we would be in this position now l would have suggested a spell in isolation.
I am so happy with our progress, l would have liked to see the subs given a bit more time.
I don't think Middleton had anything like enough time to make an impact.
The boss knows best though as he sees them every day.

Canada bear, I agree that Middleton didn't have enough time to make an impact. Gerrard is extremely conservative with his substitutions (Aberdeen away was another example) . It's easy to forget he's an inexperienced manager who will hopefully learn to take a few more chances like he did as a player.
Drawing with spartak Moscow seemed impossible 6 months ago though. Amazing achievement to get to the position we are in now.

Iv noticed over a number of weeks now that his crossing has a pattern - inswingers often seem to hit the first man whereas outswingers seem to be too deep. i'd switch it up at corners especially as Tav also has a bit of height and could be useful in the box, Kent, Candeias, Barisic, all good crossers of the ball also, Variety from time to time might not be a bad thing.

Mikege, Tav has been a woeful corner taker since he signed for us. He struggles to beat the first man almost every time. A freekick where he can shoot, aye let him, but not for corners.

Have said for months I think his delivery from dead balls is poor. Brilliant when crossing in from wide when the ball is rolling however he is wasteful with free kicks and corners for me. Ryan kent puts in a better ball.

Jcrfc - I think the official stats would beg to differ. Is he not the highest rated defender in the Europa league. Check today’s press! - some need to get real . Tav is our captain and involved in almost everything good / constructive that we do as a team . Some on here forget the journey we have been on - Elgin, peterhead etc.

Modern fullbacks, attacking is more important than defending these days it's just the way it is. Look at all the top full backs dani Alves, marcelo, alonso, hernandez, alaba, all better going forward than going the other way.
