Wallace was international class tonight - the young boys were all brilliant, and like him or hate him, Emilson Cribari was immense.

We ARE making headway, and if we keep all the youngsters at Ibrox we will have a class team when we get back into the SPL

Well done Ally too for giving us something to shout about

Wee Bill

Believable22 Unbelievable8

What the 3rd div lacks in ability they more than make up in spirit and fight. If we can learn these traits AND merge them with some skill we will be a right good team!

Firstly, great result tonight! The performance we have been looking for. Secondly, thought Kyle Hutton was 1st class when he came on tonight. Always available to take the pass and break up play aswell. Hopefully he can get a good run in the team.

Believable22 Unbelievable5

Said from peterhead IAN BLACK is the problem wasn't giving the defence cover, wasn't picking a pass, just a thug that should never have been signed.

Agree11 Disagree12

Hows he thug, hes been one of our better players! where some of the tackles on him, have been just as bad than hes gives out,,,,,,iam in a small minority who will call the guys that want to play for rangers LEGENDS, even if we play bad or good there legends in my eyes... thick n thin,im blue through in through

Superb result the night which I predicted last week after theQOS game. Just goes to prove that the players ally bought in are good enough for the SPL but to good for 3rd div as I said last week like putting a Ferrari in a stock car race

Would it not have been an upset had the club with the second highest wage bill in Scotland not won tonight?

Believable13 Unbelievable17

The upset was top of the SPHell losing to a team that aren't even top of the third division.

well done tonight lads, good win, great backing from the crowd, take a bow.dont care who we get in the next round, lets keep up that kind of tempo in all games, and by the way 30000,thats a proper crowd, not like our city opponents.15000,a joke.Rangers,Scotlands biggest club, even in Div 3.

Believable23 Unbelievable10

How much money do you think peter lawell mc millions made from last nights game lol doug t.s.o

City rivals a joke .. celtic vs benfica 59000 celtic vs dundee 41000 celtic vs raith rovers 15000 in the space of a week celtic have had over 100 thousand fans through the turnstyles at parkhead! all paying the norm price for prem league champs league and league cup .. you charged 2 pound for children tonight pal so dont give us any pish! your team of overpaid zombies couldnt compete with the scottish champions and yes you did play well tonight but stuart brother mccall has been turned over more times at ibrox than the ebt payment book!

chalkybhoy

Agree12 Disagree12

Haha chalky baws , ur not getting it are you don't moan at us , it's not our fault liewell is ripping u off with the ticket prices

Agree13 Disagree7

@4, is it funny how your legends ended your club? Or how poor you are in div3? Or how cg keeps making things up to get yous to buy it? Or how cg looks like or sounds or acts like a complete knob?

Agree4 Disagree2

27 Sep 2012 08:29:01
@4 Mr Lawell ( yes thats his name I allways find it ironic that you call him Liewell considering what your past two chairmen and potentially your new one did to you) is charging roughly the same prices you were paying prior to the death of your club last year. The 15,000ish we had in last night would have made roughly the same financially as your crowd did tonight. I fail to see your point. All this crowd size rubbish is getting tedious. No matter what crowd size you get you are still in the bottom tier of Scottish football and boasting about crowd size is like boasting about being the tallest dwarf.

Agree7 Disagree5

You Tim chimps only have two speeds. Gloat and despoil. couldn't care less how your team is doing, get a run in Europe, well done, get knocked about in the league, not bothered. You're team is fine, a professional outfit that occasionally play 'no bad' football, some of your fellow support however, is shocking. If we upset you so much, why bother coming over here to comment or are you just sick that way?

Agree3 Disagree3

@7 its a banter page incase you didnt know already i did say you played well however how can you talk about attendances when you let punters in for free last night ?? what to do is keep listening to that windbag of a chairman who will be off in about 6 months! oh and by the way i leave a name after all my posts ...
Chalky bhoy!

Agree3 Disagree3

Chalky boy - 46000 empty seats v Raith, 19000 empty seats v Dundee and 7000 empty sears v Benfica ..... 7000 empty CL seats and your prices were cheaper than you CL campaign 5 years ago - I wouldn't be bragging too much and your kidding yourself if you don't think your board won't be concerned about it

Agree2 Disagree1

Bragging nothing i was defending an argument and i stand by what i said 110,000 fans through the gates within seven days not a bad turnaround!ok league attendance has dropped a little but champions league money, gates , and sponsorship plus the 6 million pound sale of a player who cost 1.65 million and who couldnt get a regular starting place will still make celtic a healthy profit and cancel out 85-90% debt,in this league that is very good business!! remeber scottish football is a mess because of the people who ran your club...and the sfa!

Agree13 Disagree14

Your bitterness amazes me 4. LOL. You cannot accept Rangers are the best. LOL.

Agree12 Disagree11

"cannot except Rangers are the best" lol at what exactly? Your not even the best team in Div 3 at the moment and you have an average SPL squad at best. And you only won last night because McCalls team did exactly what we all knew they would and lied down again.

Agree1 Disagree1

26 Sep 2012 21:13:51
Brilliant performance from gers tonight. Lee Wallace is definitely the best full back in Scotland and Aird played fantastic. For me sandaza is another broadfoot as that is 6 games he has played and has never seemed to do anything. Brilliant from gers but i think we need to work on passing accuracy as sometimes we just gave the ball away.

So the Ibrox franchise beat a team that hasn't won at Ibrox for nearly 20 years and it sends them delirious.

Changed days indeed.

Believable13 Unbelievable12

Or in other words, the Ibrox beat the team sitting at the top of the SPL. The only undefeated SPL side.

Agree19 Disagree3

YES it was a fantastic result for us tonight, first up, we BEAT an sphell team,& no: 2 we had a BIGGER crowd than you lot did at LEGOLAND , last night.... so trot OFF to your own website... nothing happening on here for you lot to see !

Agree19 Disagree4

Number 3 you had players who have played in the SPL. Funny how all of a sudden you all act like it was unexpected that you would win tonight.

Agree7 Disagree4

Only five players in the team had regular previous SPL experience and two of them went off injured, we lost at home last week against qos, and haven't won away from home yet in the third division. Motherwell are the only undefeated side in the SPL. Poster 3, did you think we would win as comfortably as we did or were you one of the many on here expecting the SPL league leaders to give us a tonking? Credit where it is due, even grudgingly, isn't that hard is it?

Absolutely over the moon, what a thoroughly first class performance. I am so proud of them.

Thought Aird was brilliant and must say Emilson was a class above what he has shown so far.

Also think Hutton has to play.

However the standard has been set, no excuses against div three teams. That kind of tempo would see them take half a dozen every game.

Well done Rangers, and well done Ally!

Believable19 Unbelievable4

I agree our weekly results should be better, however sfl 3 is a radically different style and rhythm! I think Its adjusting to the whole thing that has proved to be difficult. A system that grinds out results until we have sussed this thing out would do me nicely! But it is nice to see us playing better.

can you all explain to me why your team went to the wall , when you are supposed to be the best supporters in the country , could it be that you want and always did sit back and leave the problems for someone else . money men are fairy god fathers , santa clause isnt real so why not take control for once . its the only way you will ever get back to the top {Ed013's Note - Rangers do have good support, they were mis-managed and therefore the fans cannot be blamed for that!}

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Decisions are made by controlling shareholders not the every day supporter. You can be the best supporters in the country but if you're not a majority shareholder the decisions are out with you're control.

Rangers chief executive Charles Green claims Sir David Murray is enthusiastic about helping the Ibrox club on several issues.

Murray sold Rangers for a nominal fee of £1 prior to the club being consigned to liquidation, and was the instigator of the controversial tax scheme that remains the subject of both a tribunal and Scottish Premier League inquiry.

The Edinburgh-based businessman, who is on record as stating there were no second contracts used during his stewardship at Rangers, still owns property in the vicinity of Ibrox Park.

Green is keen to attain one of the buildings, and the Yorkshireman took the opportunity to ask Murray about the club's use of Employment Benefit Trusts.

"I met Sir David for the first time yesterday," Green said. "Indeed I hadn't even spoken with him before. We had a good chat and we talked about a number of subjects.

"Sir David is really keen to help the club. I welcome that and I appreciate the time we spent together.

"He has some clear views in terms of EBTs and there is no-one knows better than Sir David about that and he is prepared to do whatever is required to set the record straight.

"From a tangible point of view one of the things we went to discuss was trying to acquire Edmiston House because that would be very important to my plans."

Believable6 Unbelievable1

God I would loved to have been a fly on that wall for that meeting . Wonder how much Chuck offered for Edmiston House , surely Sir Minty would sell it for a £1 in good faith.....DH

Agree3 Disagree0

Get Murray to f..k. No thanks, no way, never. He should be in jail with his cell mate Whyte. His name should only be spoken in infamy. He can keep his help, we have seen what his help has done for us.

Agree5 Disagree5

Murray should never have anything to do with Rangers again. If Green needs his advice and help we are really in trouble. Great result for Gers last night, missed the game as I was away but will watch it on telly. Anyway them meeting today wasn't any coincidence. Mark my words the Big Tax Case result is in.....

Hamish RTID

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Yes Green sells new Rangers to Murray after Xmas and voila £140m debt and 276 creditors wiped out. Remember Murray had to drive down the M8 from Edinburgh to talk Ally down from the ledge and let him in on the plan?

Greene will send Murray into the commission and stand back and see what happens, if it works great, if it doesn't he'll blame Murray.

Some of you guys who call themselves Rangers supporters want to get a life and follow the Gers no matter the opposition, wherever we can and forget all the bile and hate being spewed out by a few. We go to the games for the football and banter and I know other fans can be just as vile but we should try and rise above all this then they might also, if we don't our game will get less and less attractive and could die a slow death. I hope the Bears play well tonight and win, then poeple will recognise we are back in business.

Believable14 Unbelievable14

So it's all about who can get the most people into the ground now . No mention of how you can put one over a SPL club and go further or even try to win a trophy . It's all about getting more punters than " the great unwashed " . Sad.......DH

26 Sep 2012 14:02:01
Why on earth did you feel the need to add the false statement about last nights attendence? What relevance does that have to your clubs game tonight? In actual fact the attendence was 14,737, which yes seems very low for a 60,000 capacity stadium, however if you are even capable of thinking logically and factor in the miserable weather, the fact it was the league cup 3rd round against lower league opposition and that we are currently in a recession then it comes as no surprise that the attendence would be low. Enjoy your big game tonight, must be a great occassion for the lower league fans when one of the big teams visit their park.

Just a wee question to my fellow bears, if we draw Celtic in league cup at parkhead will everyone stick to the boycottof spl grounds?

Believable16 Unbelievable7

The boycott itself needs to be boycotted. It is only going to have a negative effect on the team.

If we were going to do it, then it would need to be a blanket boycott. Basically 0 rangers fans. Not a couple of thousand and a couple of thousand empty seats.

I think the boycott will be half heartedly done and all it will look like is that we have a poor support.

I would prefer to go and sing my heart out for 90 minutes. Infact I would prefer to avoid celtic altogether lol what do you guys think?

@6, so you agree that spl and sfa was fighting every way and making/breaking rules up to help yous get in. Some of you haters whether Rangers or other on this site are quite embarrassing now. I don't care about any other team in Scotland apart from Rangers. I don't want to watch anyone, or discuss them as my team is all that matters. The lack of patients I see on here is ridiculous. Yes rangers should be wining every game comfortably in div 3 but come on guys lets not call for Ally's head just yet, he has put together a whole new team with a lot of very young players and they do need time to gel like he has said. Stick with McCoist and we WILL be back bigger better and stronger than ever, keep the young lads coming through let them gel as a team and we will stroll up the division.
