If Rangers lose the tax case, it is Rangers Football Club that is liable for the tax bill. No ifs, buts or mibbies. It is only the final amount that's still to be determined - anywhere between £24m and you're guess is as good as mine.

If Whyte takes over, the approx £20m debt with Lloyds will become approx £20m debt with Whyte (or whoever is putting up the money). That's Lloyds out of the picture, but what about SDM? Another £6m will see him off if reports are to be believed. So that's SDM gone but RFC are still in debt (to the new SDM).

Now, if £10m is made available to McCoist, it has to come from increasing the debt, additional investment from some as yet unnamed benefactor or, selling assets.

Whyte might have £700m or £700 (nobody knows), but remember this. . he makes his living buying distressed companies. His own company website states as much unequivocally.

I'm not suggesting that is Whyte's intention, but don't you think you should maybe ask a question or two? Before it's too late!

West Brom actually have a few good players that Rangers could hopefully sign some of;
Brunt (he is under contract until 2013)
Morrison (I think out of contract in the Summer)
Dorrans(Long term contract)

Ed do you know anything about Morrisons contract? Would be a good signing especially if we got him free.

Whyte can only use Rangers assests to secure loans. things like Ibrox (which is a listed building and would hold no value for developers). What you might be talking about is using rangers as a platform to borrow to fund other business ventures. This prob won't happen and if it does it will not be to a massive extent. Man U, Man C, Spurs, West Ham, all these teams + more work in this way. and with the current tax thing my understanding is that MIH will be liable for that should the takeover go through.

Honestly we really need to wake up sometime's , we see the carrot in front of our face and we jumping at it.
White is on no rich list and he's supposed to be a billionaire i'm not convinced and as for MIH being Liable for the tax case that's not true either as it former Rangers Players who where payed through this so Rangers are Liable . Murray is so much in dept he won't take the HMRC tax case for himself as its only costoms who can freeze your assets no matter where they are as king has found out . King has other assets to cover his dept by murry has not , so he won't risk losing everything for Us .as HMRC will take control of every asset he has and sell them off until his dept is payed .

Same with McGregor valuation. So would it have been £10m with two years left on contract, or even £12m with 3 years left.

Rangers should go for the likes of Conway (Free), Bell (Free), Gomis (Free), Eremenko (Free or small fee, not sure what would be required to get him?), Goodwillie (1.5mill), Sutton (500k-800k), Berra (1.25mill), Barltley (Swap with McGregor + 3mill), Weiss (1.5mill), Wallace (800k-1mill)?????

Also no-one has mentioned the likes of Cuellar, or even Brunt (West Brom) who I think is going into last year of contract and even his team James Morrison who's maybe available on a free this summer, although not entirely sure????

Fellow bears I am a wee bit confused. . . . . . . .With a new dawn allegedly on the horizon at Ibrox there seems to be this magical £10 million figure being banded about, for Coisty to spend in the summer. Now I am more than happy with that, but my query is, what is going to happen with this years Champions League money? The yearly figures should be released around the 30th June, with a profit expected. I am hoping that some of this will be re-invested in the squad giving the potential for more than £10 million?

I don't know mate, i could see it being part of the deal to repay the debt, Whyte prob knows what the figures will be and has taken that into account when he say's he'll repay the debt, not sure at all, but can't see him giving any more than 10 mil unless we sell Bougy or Gregsy.

This is not a rumour but more just my opinion i think rangers should sign
tom hateley - motherwell
john sutton - motherwell
vladimir weiss - man city
georginio wijnaldum - feyenoord
ricky foster - aberdeen
and mibi alan dunne - millwall
and mibi a fast nimble striker
and i think they should sell or not sign again
el hadji diouf - has bn an extream disipointment
david healy - not really had a chance
james beatie - same as diouf imo could have been alot better
salim kerker - seems to never get a game so should go and get first team football else were and get off the wage bill
mo edu aswell he has bn poor all season imo
IF a decent offer comes in for bougerra then i would sell this season for the money instead of lettinh him leave for nothing the year after
and tbh if mcgregger is sold at the end of the season i would be extreamly dissapointed but it would not be the end of the world because rangers still have a gd keeper in neil alexander
i think it time daivd weir started a coaching role hes bn a great player and loyal servant for the club but hes just not as fast as he used to be and you can see him struggle to keep up now
and imo i would not take kris boyd back or kevin thomson either for tht matter one was quite lazy looking back and the other was a bit of a hot head and to injury prone
