Out of interest, how can they buy shares when we are not listed on AIM - or anywhere else that I know of?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - same way you buy shares in any company that is not on a stock market, you make the owner an offer.}

28 Aug 2015 06:55:51
Thanks. Be interesting to know how much they paid per share and who's selling.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2015 07:12:04
But who is the owner, would you not need to get the share holders to agree

Agree0 Disagree1

28 Aug 2015 08:34:42
I'm at a loss why RF are using fans money to buy shares at this time? unless they are buying them at a low price.? but even then the money would be better held until we know what's actually the financial position at Ibrox. The main worries still exist since day 1 one King and co being un listed and who is funding the team at this time? are the Bears putting in more funds (as promised) or are they using our season ticket money? if its the latter then its a bloody travesty.
Couple points on the RF buying shares the money isn't going back into our club and we don't know who they are buying them from?? although on the last point RF can tell us who they are buying from without in any issues being raised as we are de-listed, so come on RF let's here who is selling up. I hope its not our directors?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2015 13:14:23
Ally, name one team in Scottish football that doesn't use season ticket money to finance their club for the season ahead. Travesty? Honestly I don't know what planet you're on mate if you believe clubs ringfence that money every year. It makes it incredibly difficult to take anything else you say seriously.

for the time being we do NOT need any more signings, and that includes Eustace. We have enough on board to win our league in a canter. It's next summer we need to think about the squad as the loanees will return to their parent clubs.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

27 Aug 2015 17:27:15
It's not just the league that's up for grabs there is 3 cup comps so we will need our squad and I think john eustice will be a great signing,,on and off the park

28 Aug 2015 22:11:09
Ally the smaller club from the east end use a few loaners,so if it's won them the league these last few years,if they can do it I don't see why we can't.

wee willy

Gedion Zelalem is only 18 and the other players are young I do not think it is definate they will return to their clubs after just a year and even if they do they will be returning after being nurtured by Warburton and Weir at Rangers top class facility in Auchenhowie then plying for a very exciting team winning a Championship and possibly a Cup or 2 (Petrofac Mickey Mouse incuded) in front of sell out 50000 crowds. Do you think it will be hard to keep or replace them when we enter the SPFL: to fight with Hearts for their Title?

The future is fantastic and coloured blue

They make profits, we don't.
They sell players for £10m+ , we don't.
They buy players for £2m, we don't.
They play in Europe, we don't.
They don't have huge debts, we do.
They don't need loans, we do.
They can get loans of their assets, we cant.

How are they getting weaker, they claim they loose £10m a year without us, but one horse race is boring.

Even after £70m spend, told we still need £30m more - and most to come from fans ST money and share purchases.?

How do we need £100m to get back to splfl? Where hearts top of spfl on peanuts and lower crowds, ST and players than us.

Roll on next year at least 4 old firm games a year.

Gotta say that so far so good from Mark Warburton and Co

He came with a good CV so expected him to be good!

So ever thankful for him choosing our Club, having said that we are still a massive club on paper!

I think I am falling in love with him

Early days yet but so far brawwww!

Hope he keeps the lads grounded and primarily himself!

Looks a promising Manager

I just want to see him get this team bigger and better, where they belong!

If he is a success at the top and more, we ought to do anything to keep him as I reckon he may the best thing since Walter Smith!

Aforementioned, a few good Managers in my time, Graeme Souness, Dick Advocaat and Alex McLeish here's thinking that MW CAN leapfrog these great Managers!

C'mon Warburton!!

Believable2 Unbelievable5

27 Aug 2015 10:20:07
Know what Kaz he's a brilliant manager and I really hope we can keep a hold of him for a while. He's a self confessed Spurs fan and I dread to think what might happen should they come a calling. He will be being watched right now make no mistake about that to see how he gets on at a bigger club and if he's worth a punt. I would say MW is a very honourable man and will see out his contract but if your boyhood team knocks it's very hard to say no. I would like to see him boss us beyond what he's initially signed up for assuming of course he continues in this manner. Yes we'll lose some, it's inevitable but I don't remember the last time I felt such energy and desire around Ibrox, Rangers, the fans and well, just about everything connected with our great institution.

Just wanna say, that I don't mind if we get Celtic in today's draw!

Celtic are expected to win and should be, as are champions of Scottish football and play Champions League football (Oh I forgot they got knocked out hahahahaha)

Anyway jokes aside, if we were to play our biggest rivals I think we would give them a closer game that people would anticipate!

At this current time we would probably be short of winning but I reckon we would show that we have come a long way from the very bottom of Scottish futba

27 Aug 2015 12:47:01
Three teams I want this year are motherwell, hearts and Celtic, in that order. Only way to gauge where we are and what advancements have been made is to test ourselves against the three teams that played us off the park at certain stages last year. That would provide a tangible barometer of the progress under warburton.

Just back from taking my eldest to his first game tonight. He loved it. Another good performance, halliday absolutely ran the show. Zelalem was tidy and linked well with oduwa and Wallace. Ball looked good again and tavernier goal was outstanding to wrap things up. Know Clark gets a lot of stick on here but took his goal well and his all round play was very good imo, didn't do much wrong at all and I think he will improve as season goes on. Same with shiels, talked zelalem through the game, worked hard and scored a decent goal too. Good to see hardie getting a run out also although he didn't do much tbf. The magic hat chants made my kid smile too lol. Happy household. :-)

after having a wee chuckle at last nights Celtic resukt, I actually felt bad about it as it affects the coefficient for Scottish qualification, we need ALL our teams to do well in Europe, and that includes Celtic. Our standing in Europe is diminishing rapidly and there is not much we can do about it.

Wish certain people on here would forget all this coefficient c##p and remember they are an undoubted enemy of RFC as their fans have proven over the last few years. Any opportunity to return the favour and put the boot in should be unapologetically seized after the s##t they continue to sling in our direction. rant over

Gazza1212 - Scottish champions USED to get direct entry to ECL - and access to bumper pay check (these days £20+m).

Now we both in situation where we have to pre-qualify thru 6 games - and will be unseeded in these games in future - with lower co-efficients.

We had entry 9 years in a row - yet - our coeef dropped and we lost the automatic entry place.

From now on it would be automatic access to £20+m - but at best 50-50 chance.

We need our enemy to progress making as little money as possible - to maintain coeff.

our it just gets harder and harder to ever get to CL

We flying high at present on £5m salaries , while they have £33m salaries.

Expect them to reduce to £20m. but how do we increase to £15m when we have so many loan players, and players who may leave in January as we might not have money to pay them.

we need £30m . now to clear all debts and then have warchest.

Agree3 Disagree1

27 Aug 2015 08:48:47
iv got to agree with wee bill. It is also harder to bring players to Scottish football if our best clubs are getting knocked out of Europe. Until we are in direct competition with Celtic then I don't care what they do.

Gazza to say 'that mob want us dead' is absolutely ridiculous. It is that tiny minority of Old Firm fans like you and the equivalent on their side that keep this crap going. For most Rangers fans this is a sport, a game, a hobby. There will always be 'banter' between fans but we don't need the hate filled stuff.

Agree5 Disagree3

27 Aug 2015 09:47:03
Listen huey here's a news flash for you, the vast majority of old firm fans have a healthy dislike for each other.fact!
That's an assertion based on forty odd year's living in the west of Scotland and being in contact with working class opposition fans on a daily basis.
You have used the term hate filled on the presumption that you know me and the way I think based on a few lines I've posted. I stick by my opinion there are huge numbers of their support would rather we did not exist. If you choose to believe otherwise then that's up to you,in my opinion you are deluding yourself.
I consider myself intelligent enough to be above hatred for something like football however based on my experiences I can't always say the same of the other side. This was the reason for my reply to wee Bill and that rangers fans shouldn't feel guilty of enjoying their bad result regardless of the coefficient.
This doesn't and never will make me a hateful person so wind yer neck in son.

I have to agree with Gazza I hate Celtic its got nothing to do with religion. They are our rivals in the same city if they were playing ludo i'd want them to lose and they would love it if we didn't exist even if the spfl ended up like the irish league, never forget jelly and ice cream it was more than a few of them that were saying it.Its what makes the rivalry its a two way street I hope it never changes.

whats good for Ceptic is not necessarily good for Scottish football. I grudge Ceptic the steam of my turds never mind them getting a run in the CL

Agree0 Disagree1

27 Aug 2015 12:03:07
Gazza I don't have much time for Rangers, I have even less time for clowns like yourself but I've never wanted Rangers dead. Hurting, weak, skint, sure but never dead. But even those ailments were unsustainable for it to be a proper rivalry so inevitably Rangers needed to and would bounce back. You claim to be intelligent and then pretty much attribute the hatred as a one-sided affair within the Old Firm, then and there you disproved all intelligent claims. There is a rizla paper between the extreme fans of both sides, any believe in otherwise shows your own bias and lack of intelligence.

I have no problem with you not wishing Celtic any success but like deecee don't dress it up as anything else and similarly don't even dare presume all the woes and embarrassment within the Old Firm is solely down to one side and I'd call any Celtic fan out for the same claim in reverse.

Agree3 Disagree3

27 Aug 2015 15:37:27
Gazza is 100% correct

Go on their fans forums and they DESPISE everything to do with Rangers.

They are so bitter they would rather have no Old Firm games and no opposition in the league not being savvy enough to realise that if your squad does not have to raise its' game to win the league it eventually lowers the quality of its football but much more than that its ability to raise its game on big match occasions plus cope with pressure of these games. If you are never playing in a pressure situation you cannot possibly be ready when one occurs. THIS is the number one reason Celtic are so poor in any pressure game situations be it a Cup game in Scotland to (not) achieve a treble or be it Euro CL qualifiers they are not used to pressure and as a result can't cope

The last time they had a squad that could cope was after Walter had won 3 Leagues in a row and Lennon's team HAD TO man up they were used to top level pressured games against Rangers which prepared them for their Euro achievments after that.

You reap what you sow they wanted us dead they gloated at our misfortune yet their team and management are now a joke they have no bottle, no compassion, no organisation and are starting to bicker amongst themselves.

Would any Bear honestly want ANY of the Celtic defence in our squad? Van Dyke possibly but even he can't defend in that team.

Rangers have taken their punishment like men and we are finally on the way back playing great football with a management team that look like they could be the best thing to happen to Rangers in 50 years

Fate has a funny way of working sometimes

Agree0 Disagree1

27 Aug 2015 20:24:55
Taken your punishment like men? You have moaned about everything (you are moaning now KT) you have boycotted this, that and the next. McCoist shamefully demanding the names of tribunals HE ALREADY KNOWS. Moans about a fine which it turned out your lawyer insisted on. Moaned about a gate revenue division that was in place the season before you made the play offs. Moaned about sponsors, the Scotland team, ticket allocations (even when Hibs give you a damn sight more in percentage terms than you give them). You moan about the SFA not doing their job regards Whyte, then doing it too rigourously regards King. McCoist moaned about lack of pre-seasons, wind, pitches, that every game was a cup final for all opponents (like Celtic don't face that every week too and Rangers did in the past also) then has the temerity to f**k up the one and only cup final in his reign. You moaned about the SFA, SPFL, SFL, I'm only surprised that OMD and the RAC didn't get it in the neck at some point. Lawwell, Lennon, Petrie, Thomson, all the wee clubs that demoted you (including the four you tried to get kicked out of football in the 1960's - how about them apples?). But that aside you were the embodiment of stoic stiff upper lip machismo. KT we must be at the other end of the testosterone chart with regards what it is that defines a man. Have a nice day petal. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Aug 2015 20:51:28
Kt where to start, you are entitled to your opinion on Celtic I disagree but we will need to wait till we play in one of the cups or next season to see who is right , for the record there is not one player from your team who would get in our team , I guarantee you that . As for taking your punishment like men , lol . Your fans swore revenge on every person who had anything to do with your punishment and a lot of people who didn't ignoring the fact most of them broke every rule and procedure in the book to let your new team into the league structure.

Gaz1 As a rule I only respond to people who's opinions I consider relevant, however for the benifit of the dim like yourself I'll attempt to clarify.

Firstly right off the bat and in typical ceptic fashion you try and put your own twisted spin on what people are saying on here. You really should shake that chip from your shoulder if you want to contribute to the adults discussion.

Anyway that aside and from the top,its my own belief that Rangers fans should make no attempt to apologise for watching your mob fail again and again. I believe this is an opinion shared by the vast majority of Our fan base if we are being honest! The more liberal minded among us might disagree and I accept that.

Secondly nobody said you in particular wanted us dead, what I maintain is there are literally thousands of your clubs followers who do. Next, to address your inference that I said all the old firm hatetred is one sided well I don't even know where you got that from. Perhaps your reading words that aren't there.

Finally and probably most pertenanly I don't "dare" to say anything, I don't "dress up" anything, if I've a point to make I'll say it. I don't need your peirmition or approval for that matter. Remember I'm not the one on an opposition fans for um I've better things to do with my time. In fact that probably best exemplifies what your true motives are. On one hand you come on here trying demonise us while in actual fact you seem to spend an unfeesable length of time and effort dedicated to all things Rangers.

Pieandbovril that's no such a bad idea as it sounds. The boy obviously loves scoring and as far as I can see has more attributes about him than anybody else in a more advanced position in our team.
He links well is very quick and wouldn't be the first player to make the transition ( Thierry Henry) anyone?

Good performance again, the boy from arsenal looks as if he could link up with oduwa all night. Think they could be sensational together in the same team with a bit of game time. Also glad to see Dean Shiels get a game and goal, never had a proper chance under Mccoist.
As every win goes past Just makes me want a SPFL team even more. Especially Septic. Please give us them next round of League cup. Shut them up once and for all.
