Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

Well we'll well tomorrow is hopefully the end of this rangers saga which ever way it goes it will be refreshing to know it won't fill our back ages anymore (with a little bit of luck!)

IMO I don't care what happens if it is stripping of titles hope is goes as void, if its a 'fine' then will be interesting to see how green plays it.

Anyway never mind about nimmo smith what's happening with this new shirt deal & is it tennants etc? Greens acting too quite tbh kind of missing his daft statements lol

Also see green is paying the players and staff in euros now. can't handle Stirling.

Lenny

Believable10 Unbelievable8

That last joke, if you can call it that, was rather poor, even by your standards.

Even if we dealt in pounds stirling, it still wouldn't be funny :)

s20c

Agree7 Disagree11

Well I liked the joke.
Don

Agree6 Disagree4

He Leeny ah hope you Mothers well.

Agree2 Disagree0

Hopefully the decision goes well or at least reasonably well for Rangers with no title satripping.

If so, hopefully too, the endless talk of conspiracies etc can stop and we can all go back to what we actually like doing--- watching the football.

Agree2 Disagree0

Lenny 5 year puma deal just released hope that makes you happier! mark.

What has Scott McDonald scoring two in the last minutes to beat the bottlers got to do with EBT's. Nothing that's why there must be no stripping of titles from the "independant" panel appointed by SPL. "independant", "appointed by", two different things.

Believable7 Unbelievable14

But if players weren't registered properly they were ineligible. The usual punishment for that is a 3-0 reversal in every game they played, is it not? If this happens, titles will be stripped.

Agree15 Disagree3

That result has nothing to do with EBT's nobody is saying it does. Unfortunately it has everything to do with fielding ineligible players. This reeks of the sfa bottling it again. Having coached at a few levels of football and appeared before the bigwigs at Hampden on a couple of occasions they are very clear about registration errors- kicked out of cups or points deducted from league games. regardless of the excuses put forward. It was always kangaroo court like. The amazing thing is they have had to appoint an independent panel to apply their own rules.

Jd

Agree12 Disagree2

I do think sfa have want a guilty decision but like Pontius have washed hands and want someone else to blame when decision is guilty. then they can be seen to 'work' with rangers more easily in future

Agree7 Disagree2

Why should RFC get two QCs and a High Court judge to rule on SPL regulations? No other club has had this.

Agree4 Disagree2

It was rangers who wanted an independent panel, i'm sure

Agree3 Disagree2

The SFL have ststed NO CUP WIN WILL BE LOOKED AT. Any League cup wins stay. SPL want leagues stripped. Mmmm outside influence on that descision me thinks.

Long time reader but a first time poster here guys.

First off, I don't understand the sudden fascination among Rangers fans, talking about formations. People come on and talk about 4-5-1 because they think it makes them sound like they have any knowledge of the game. You can play 4-5-1 in an attacking fashion. Then people going on and on about playing "one up front" as if that is the problem. Very few teams play with more than one recognised forward nowadays.

Anyway, I am going to give my opinion on the whole situation.

I don't think I have come away from a single game this season thinking "wow, we played some great stuff today. " That is terrible. I hear people defending us and defending Ally by saying "we are in SFL3, how can you expect the football to be good?" Seriously? I'm not expecting the opposition to be any good. They are part-time and in SFL3 for a reason, with all due respect to them. I have every right to expect Rangers, with proven SPL players, on SPL wages, to be able to dominate these teams and play some exciting football in the process.

The facts are:

A) McCoist's philosophy is negative and involves getting the ball forward via long punts up the park. Not long passes, long punts, there is a difference.

B) He is trying to play Walter style European tactics in Scotland's 4th tier.

C) The players are going through the motions. They know they will win the league. So there is zero urgency.

D) Ally doesn't seem to have any clue with regard to changing a game. The fans can see clearly when things aren't going well, but our manager can't. That is so worrying.

I look at it just now, and think that I cannot justify paying the money to go and watch that dross for the next 2 seasons. Although I know my love for the club will shine throuh in the end.

And this opinion isn't based solely on this season. McCoist has never convinced me, including last season.

Now, where do we go from here? IMO we let him win SFL3, and give him the opportunity to walk away with his head held high at the end of it having held the club together during our toughest spell, and starting us on our journey back.

We should then bring in someone with their own ideas, someone that will build us up with a positive footballing philosophy that will entertain us. We have proven that we are the greatest fans in the world, the least we deserve is to be entertained. There are lots of managers out there who would kill to manage Rangers, as even in our current plight, it's an exciting challenge.

I love my club, but it's becoming a chore nowadays to go and watch Rangers. It can't go on like this.

Sorry it's a bit long-winded, but I feel my opinion has some substance. What do you all think?

s20c

Believable19 Unbelievable7

You start by questioning others ability to understand football and then type an essay as if you are better qualified than other people on here. Bit sanctimonious there pal, no?

Agree11 Disagree7

I stated facts. Then I backed those facts up.

s20c

Agree7 Disagree8

I agree with most of this statement mccoist ain't going give us entertaining football ever while he in charge we need to follow the way swansea play but not to much passing ect just have a rite good go who u ever we face score more goals means u win a game our defence is a shambles so we at the least need a 2 goal lead to win agame maybe even more the way our keeper plays he doesn't even dive for the ball he is looking a shadow of his real self not good anuf just cause in third division doesn't mean stop diving to the corners or at people feet to stop a goal gets shots straight at i'm and still let them in he ain't performing so should be droped but mccoist will not drop seniour players yet will drop young players when they are playing realy good mackay example was playing real good then gets droped for 4 5 games then expects lad come back in and perform 2 games on trot then droped again wish he would drop the rest of rubbish after 2 games mackays confidence would have tain a big hit way getting droped he is a young lad this is our managers job to keep him on his toes confident ect mccoist just ain't got it in him to spur the players on or give them confidence he a good pr rangers man but not rangers manager he is friends way to many players we don't need a laugher and joker we need hard work good training and a manager that ain't pals with any player or current staff new era for the club so should be looking forward not back new manager new staff couldn't tell u the last time we bought a decent youngster for youth team unlike celts who bought tonny watt we need new manager coaches scouts and invest in youth and play attractive football to many overpayed rubbish players at our club mccoist is pr not manager without doubt he lost us leauge last season gets us kicked out of every cup going by wee teams lol any1 at defends him as manager needs there head looked at a long reply ano but its the truth about our club so make sure posted ed thanks

ED disappointed that ignored my first post and did not reply to my second won't bother posting again, wish all you eds all the best. pat -c {Ed001's Note - considering, having looked back through your posts, you were posting as both a Rangers fan and a Celtic fan, you are obviously a liar and won't be missed. So don't bother coming back.}

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Hi ed 1 I've noticed some of my posts that have been posted have been taken off again was just wondering why, maybe they offended some people? is ed 39 on holiday lol doug t. s. o {Ed001's Note - it depends on the tone the convos take, sometimes it is better to just remove threads, rather than sift through abusive replies.}

Agree9 Disagree1

Ed just curious, how do you know who has posted before if they don't tag their posts?

s20c {Ed001's Note - by IP address.}

Agree3 Disagree1

What about if someone posts from a phone? Is there a way you can tell! Because I am sure people post with more than one tag name at times! {Ed001's Note - phones still have an ip address.}

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Feb 2013 19:18:49
I'm a rangers fan {Ed001's Note - funny, your previous posts all claimed you were a Celtic fan, so a block is in order for being a tool. Don't try and pretend, you only make yourself look the complete knob you are.}

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Is it not possible for 2 individuals living in the same house using the same modem to have te same IP address? {Ed001's Note - nope. Only using the same tablet/phone or comp would come up with the same ip. In this day and age very few people share those!}

Agree2 Disagree1

Everyone in my house shares the same lap top but hey maybe i'm just a bit worse off than everyone else

Agree1 Disagree1

Get in there Ed!

Agree1 Disagree1

You talk shyte Ed, three people in my home use the same computer and four use the same tablet, there are five people in my home who support three different teams {Ed001's Note - of course they do. I have heard it all before and it always ends up being one person pretending. Now run along.}

I know that there are lots of people who are having a go at Ally as the defence is shocking. There is certainly no doubt that it is awful, but I would point out that we had a few on trial last year, Argyriou, Cribari and Faure. At the last minute Boca and Goian left. They had no time to sign others and signed up the best of the list of trialists. We were unable to sign anyone since, so I am 100% sure that defenders will be top of the list come September.
One question, if these were the best of the trialists, how bad were the others?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Why not go with the young players?

Agree0 Disagree1

Cribari played in Serie A so should be more than adequate for Division 3 in Scotland, surely?

Agree3 Disagree0

27 Feb 2013 17:41:10
Purely football question (yes for me, that is different)
Your team is in the 4th tier of Scottish football, playing against mostly part time teams, yet Ally has played 451 ALL season. I could understand it against SPL teams you played but 3rd division part timers?
What is Ally worried about? Even if you lose a goal surely your team has enough firepower to score 2?
We all know 451 is a defensive set up, again your team has lost a lot of goals playing DEFENSIVELY.
I also hear the defence "Ally is inexperienced" but he had 3 years under Walter Smith, is Ally a slow learner? He does not seem able to change a game with a good tactical change or substitute.
Be honest bears, are you happy with Ally continuing as manager for the next 3 seasons? Timalloy

Believable10 Unbelievable5

If it's purely a football question, why didn't you congratulate us for being 22 points clear, with a squad that started the season with 6 players, who had no pre-season, and then the squad limited to 22? mostly young guys with no experience of 4th tier hackers out to get their picture on the telly?
And why did your purely football question mention salary? does salary automatically make you better? get thee back to the east and wallow in your own mire

Agree7 Disagree12

On current form no. However things can still change and any manager is only a few bad results from the sack anyway. Ally isn't daft, he knew the top job was tough but no Rangers manager has had the "off-field" situation to deal with. Give him next season, no improvement then he's gone. Harsh but its business.

Agree6 Disagree5

Totally agree with you mate,
ally's tactics suck!
durrant and mcdowell stand either side like a couple of bookends,, an inept management team and a nonexistent scouting system (neil murray)! kind of sums it up.
if I was CG I wouldn't trust ally with any money and it's time to look for a total revamp at ibrox

Agree6 Disagree1

@1 do you not have the second biggest wage bill in Scotland in that case congratulations on being 22 points clear in the forth tear of Scottish football

Agree5 Disagree1

We need 2 centre halfs a right back and a creative midfielder

Agree3 Disagree0

@1: not bitter much, eh? The guy asks a decent football question and you hit back with that guff and the same lame excuses. Face facts, Rangers should be much further ahead and with a phenomenal goal difference, given the players at the club compared to the opposition, pre-season or not.

Agree8 Disagree1

Get McCoist out now before he wastes any more money on dross that he can't manage.

Agree4 Disagree1

Timmalloy I would not be happy one bit if he were to stay in charge for next season never mind next 3.

McCoist £17800 + bonus P/W Durrant & mcdowell £8900+ bonus P/W and lastly Smith £125000 + expenses P/A that's what your paying out for a third division team! £2m!

Briggs

Believable13 Unbelievable8

No wonder ally doesn't do walking away, he's bleeding I'd dry.

Agree7 Disagree5

What bonus?

Agree1 Disagree3

I am fed up of being fed rubbish and told its sugar, McCoist, Durrant, McDowell and Walter Smith are bleeding us all dry while telling us that they are Rangers men, they cannot fail to know that they are not good enough and yet they "dont do walking away" how are they any better than Bain and co? The time for walking away has long gone we need to get these persons by the scruff of their necks and throw them out of Ibrox. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Angry Bear.

Agree8 Disagree5

@2 win bonus etc.

Briggs

Agree4 Disagree2

OP is this east end accountants, source please!

Agree2 Disagree2

@3# Smith is a director, no blame there football wise. Ally's problem is employing mates, always a bad thing

Agree3 Disagree1

@5 can't name source but believe me it's true. I know that when accounts are published then these figures will be very true! I know smith has nothing to do with the management side of things, but why £125k a year? What DOES he do?

Briggs

Agree7 Disagree2

Also pretty sure sir Walter is a non exec director. A non exec dosnt get a salary.

god forgive me but a never thought a would see the day a uttered these words but if ally is in charge next seaason a won't renew, 2 central defenders, marvin andrews and gary kenneth right under his nose and we end up with cabai and perry, sums ally up

Believable9 Unbelievable12

Gary Kenneth, that would have really made a difference, not

Agree3 Disagree6

@1: but would he drop levels from Bristol Rovers? lol

2) I hope not, he is mince. His name was mentioned pre season and nobody wanted him. What's changed, he was mince, he's now mince, and will always be mince.

Result of spl investigation due tomorrow
Bbc website
No stripping of our un tainted titles will be done
The tiger

Believable10 Unbelievable21

Where does it say we ain't losing titles?

Agree16 Disagree6

I would guess that like the Big Tax Case whoever loses will appeal the decision.

Agree4 Disagree1

@5: so were they bigots when fining Spartans 25% of their annual income for an administrative oversight?

If Rangers are found not to have completed administration for player registration correctly, what should the punishment be? Bearing in mind the Spartans punishment was for playing in a cup match with an ineligible player (they were also kicked out of the cup), then surely the standard 3-0 reverse for every match played with a player who wasn't correctly registered?

After all, isn't Rangers' defence is that these were administrative oversights? The punishment above would be consistent.

Agree7 Disagree0

4) if it doesn't matter why bother at all?

Agree0 Disagree2

Well spart played in a competition held by the sfa, rangers played in the spl. Two completely different competitions regulated by two different organisational bodies. There is no comparison

Ally must have a job at Ibrox forever (for obvious reasons) just keep him away from the team. My big concern is the other 2, just what they do to justify a wage is beyond me. Do they have any input re tactics (I know, what tactics), substitutions etc. 2 big salaries we could do without (along with most of our former Spl pros, Wallace & McCulloch excepted).

Believable4 Unbelievable6

No one is entitled to a job forever. Ally mad his bed and must lie in it. He backed whyte and took his time to back Mr Green, strangely after he was given shares, and his tactics and buying stink.

Agree9 Disagree1

Are allys tactics designed to keep the bonus payments down? fewer goals etc. ye'd think so!

i can't believe we only got a draw against the worse team in scotland I feel like throwing my season ticket in the bin in absolute discussed. anyway enough about us stirling fans hows your fans copping?

Believable19 Unbelievable3

TBH I just couldn't get up the enthusiasm to go last night and instead watched the Real Madrid Barca match.

Where's the entertainment value in playing one up against a team of part timers with one of the worst records in Britsih football. I just don't understand it when the league is already won.

1) because we are Rangers fans not Barca or Real fans.

I wonder if Ally could explain why, against the bottom team in the league and walking to the league title, he seems to think one up is acceptable? Why on earth does he never go for it? Stick three up and play in their half. In my opinion Shiels and Black are actually holding this team back, the contribution from both is very poor, and please stop Black taking free kicks!

Believable18 Unbelievable2

Before you criticise the man has anyone actually gave him a book to show him how to manage?

Agree10 Disagree1

Sir Cardigan obviously gave him the book on anti-football!

Agree7 Disagree0

Lennons tactics against barca 10 men behind the ball and pray

Agree2 Disagree9

@3. if so prayers were answered. everybodys tactics against barca is 10 men behind the ball, because they've always got the ball, its what they do. anybody who said 'while xavi, messi etc. have the ball you 3 just stay up the park 25 yards away' would lose 10-0. everybody in europe congratulated neil on his tactics except, guess where?

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Feb 2013 11:23:37
McCoist is the worst Rangers manager ever and persons have given him two years in the coveted seat. His statistics are the worst ever.
There is no reason to keep him except for the humour of Rangers opposition.
It's time now. No more fronting up and carrying on.

Believable25 Unbelievable8

Ally the picture board is calling again

Agree17 Disagree6

He has done himself no favours with some strange tactics and negative formations. Can anyone honestly say they can see him improving next season? This league is won, that's the bare minimum expected, but the football has been dire all season.

Agree7 Disagree2

27 Feb 2013 08:02:43
thought it was interesting that our central defenders are getting it in the neck again in the press for last nights performance and the loss of the goal, when at the same time, marvin andrews, who I thought was finished years ago, is still playing and scoring last night, in a division above us, surely he could have done a job for us again, and at half the cost of some of the guys we have brought in!

Believable17 Unbelievable6

If Ally had any consideration for Rangers he would hold his hands up and tell us all he resigns due to the fact that he's inept at the job, - he's making us a laughing stock of the footballing world.

Agree25 Disagree7

No apology for Mccoist in making us yet again a laughing stock of football, - only the usual crap about being not happy with the SECOND Half performance. Just shows how useless he is. We have been telling you this for month about the whole season!!
