Don't understand negativity towards Greg Stewart warburton has admired him from afar all year if he likes him that enough for me Hemings is better than what we have miller not getting any younger let's trust the gaffer and Davie weir.

28 Apr 2016 20:05:34
Stewart not better than wafhorn so what's the point both very similar player we need different options.

28 Apr 2016 21:09:04
Cee you really don't like Stewart eh? Fair point about Waghorn but he would be good be a good signing and this season has proven we need strength and depth. I like the look of him and he clearly has ability so would have a part to play if we got him.

29 Apr 2016 08:01:57
I do like him I fthink dundees three striker are all good players but the only one who would improve us is hemmings and that's only because he is different.

29 Apr 2016 08:21:35
Fair point we need an out and out goal scorer, but I just can't see Hemmings coming to us again.

I honestly see Jason Cummings being our main Striker target this summer. Heard rumours he let slip that his agent has been in contact with Frank McParland for a couple of months now, kinda goes in line with his slight dip in form for Hibs.

29 Apr 2016 08:30:15
If Cummings is under contract then u can forget about him coming to us. As with Scot Allan they won't sell him to us.

29 Apr 2016 09:45:12
Hibs wouldn't sell Allan to us their closest rivals.

With luck they won't be in same division next season lol.

29 Apr 2016 09:49:39
The Scott Allan situation was different. Hibs seen themselves as title rivals to us at the beginning of the season and did not want to give up any of their best players. If they fail to get promotion through the play offs then that is no longer the case and I would bet my bottom dollar he will sign for us. He is refusing to sign a new deal with Hibs and he only has a year left so they will want to cash in. If they get promoted then I doubt he will be coming to us.

29 Apr 2016 10:22:41
Ps. if Hibs stay down they will need to offload a few players As they will start to feel the strain financially.

29 Apr 2016 11:08:04
Greg Stewart could add to our squad, he offers something different from Holt and Halliday. He can beat a defender with ease is a good passer/ crosser and would be ideal to bring on late in a game if we are struggling to break down a stubborn defence.

28 Apr 2016 21:22:54
Definitely Cee. Good point mate. I'm hoping Warbs starts mixing it up a bit on a horses for courses basis, and would like to see someone more physical up front who's also more of an out and out striker.

28 Apr 2016 22:58:38
Derby county now interested in signing dundee striker kane hemmings, they could offer him a far better deal than we could if we're interested in him at all which I really doubt in the first place anyway.

29 Apr 2016 14:16:50
Gosman: Even if they are in the same league, it won't be like this season, they won't be title rivals in direct competition.

29 Apr 2016 17:31:47
If they stay down a would think it a bid for mcginn wouldn't be a bad shout.

30 Apr 2016 08:00:57
I think issue about rangers having a rest before final except for spurs game I would welcome that scenario all day, hibs extra games could possibly go against them if any their players get injured prior to final, where as we will be raring to go.

28 Apr 2016 09:27:49
Whilst many will read with some positivity about the proposed move by Mr Ashley ver SFA, it is paramount not to become rather abrasive in our thoughts opinions on this mater or any other related maters before conclusion

The case still has to be heard in court today and no doubt if by all accounts its deemed the applicant does not wish to pursue there will be much angling by all parties including DK re associated legal matter and costs

I wish we would stop using the pats phrase 3-0 to King or others, as people like MA are abrasive enough with the financial muscle to continue to use it to harbour Rangers FC

Let's wait and see and read the judgement and no doubt attached conditions affiliated to such case

Silence is Gokden in matters like this and we as Supporters need to apply it
Let's stick to talking about on the field and not off as our media love the hype.

28 Apr 2016 14:43:27
jox886 people like Mike Ashley don't do things out of the kindness of there heart. he even doesn't give up when his legal team are advising him so yeah 3-nil. The thing is he's a bully and a billionaire he doesn't care what anybody thinks. if he ever get a chance to stick to rangers he will no matter what we do now or in the future.

28 Apr 2016 07:16:36
Daily Mail suggests Kane Hemmings could leave Dundee for knock fee of £250k sell on clause in contract.

Not sure why their is so much anti feelings for him in comparison to Greg Stewart who is also ex Ibrox is he not? Neither got a chance here?

Is he not worth another chance at Ibrox?

28 Apr 2016 08:02:08
Had his chance, Warburton could do better IMO.

28 Apr 2016 08:59:20
NABear

Have to disagree as I think due to injury he didn't get much of a chance. He is certainly far better than Clark and I'm sure he would score more goals than Miller so at £250k I don't think it's much of a gamble.

28 Apr 2016 10:00:06
He got plenty of chances. The boy admitted it not long ago himself.

28 Apr 2016 12:39:27
He is twice the player of Greg Stewart that's for certain.

28 Apr 2016 13:11:17
That was then, we can see he is a more complete player, possibly would take him.

28 Apr 2016 16:32:13
Scotjo

Agreed he is certainly a better player now than he was then. As I said £250k for a guy who has scored plenty of goals in the premiership surely he is worth a punt?

28 Apr 2016 13:58:31
It's apples and oranges comparing the two players. Hemmings is a striker who can finish and hold ball up. Stewart is an off the front creator who is technically decent.

In my opinion Hemmings is a good player for Dundee but don't think he would fit into pointless possession style.

Stewart again good player for Dundee but if we are going to find bit the answer to breaking down teams when they sit in we need someone better than him.

Both these guys are like MOH good spl players but not what we need.

29 Apr 2016 21:22:14
Luigi we have a small budget its nice to dream of the kind of players we would like. unfortunately we need to realistic. the same reasons some people shop at marks and spencers and some in aldi. it easy to be negative put i don't see you saying well for the same money we could get this player. we our shopping for good spl or english 1st or 2nd division because that's were we find ourselves financially. unless you can think of a way to treble our income. then we need to hope the magic hat can find a couple of gems.

28 Apr 2016 06:37:34
Ashley in court today against king and the SFA on his "fit and proper person" acceptance.

28 Apr 2016 08:58:02
Looks like your big fat mate has bottled it MULLAD and its going to cost him a small fortune in legal fees, oh well hopefully he can still afford it. Better luck next time MULLAD.

28 Apr 2016 10:57:40
Already admitted defeat and will foot the entire legal cost of both the SFA and King.

28 Apr 2016 11:41:09
its good news the only problem is the fat one has money
in abundance
like many bears I hope that Newcastle are relegated from
the premier league so it hits him in the pocket.

28 Apr 2016 16:01:00
A think it's more about the publicity bowmac. All his negative press seems to be affecting the shares of his companies, so he's probably been advised to stay out the media for a while.
For someone like him to to question anybodies fit and properness is a joke considering some of the deals he has us tied up in with the previous crooks who were in charge of us.

28 Apr 2016 16:34:45
Recbob

Couldn't agree more about him having a cheek questioning whether anyone is a fit and proper person. This is a man who is quite happy to give his shop workers zero hour contracts and pay them appallingly. A guy who got rid of a player from Newcastle as he had cancer. A guy who would happily return to the days of slavery to run his empire.

28 Apr 2016 21:28:06
Well put Biffo, the man is of the lowest form. People say you get the face you deserve in life and he certainly got hit with a bad one.
I feel sorry for the Newcastle fans, we are only partly hindered with his selfishness, they are stuck with him for the long haul it would seem. Good fans as well.
