Well this will be an interesting week. Don't believe even the likes of Barton or NIko will have experienced anything like it, undefeated, second top in the league, and yet are all on their backs. Really need MW and DW to show leadership, provide grip and settle things down. I think MW will show his mettle and rise to the challenge. He needs to be brave and step toward. Hopefully he is speaking and receiving wise counsel from the likes of Walter and feels the support from all of us and rises to the challenge. Some of the comments on here have been unfair and too much of a rush to judgement. In MW we trust.

Sorry guys, we've played nobody and struggled. If we do not dramatically improve and quickly, we can only hope for top 6 at best.
Reality is painful but we could not have picked a better set of games to get us going. The next half dozen could be painful.
Fingers crossed things start to fall into place.

It seems he's being found out against top tier clubs (Struggled v The lower SPL clubs) . Will there be a plan B against cfc, Aberdeen, RC, Hearts, St Johnstone ICT)? When the pressures on in the SPL his mettle will be tested to the max. Only time will tell but it could be allover before its begun. From squads to finances, retail, income etc cfc are lite years ahead and the penny will have finally dropped that there's no quick fix. Get used to it as 3rd or 4th place is a reality which will be hard to take.

Don't know why people constantly say we dodged a bullet not getting Lescott. The team keeps losing silly goals down to the defence and Lescott is an improvement on Hill and Kiernan.

Has anyone else been underwhelmed with Barton and Kranjcar?

I really thought these 2, particularly Barton, would give us an edge over Celtic in midfield this season but at this point I'd be happier going into the game on the 10th with a midfield 3 of Rossiter, Halliday and Forrester. Kranjcar just isn't fit and we can wait 3 months for him to get up to speed - poor call to sign a guy who has been cruising for a few years now going into our first season back in the SPFL where we can't afford any passengers. As for Barton, he's fit enough and has the ability but that comment he made back in the summer about being better than anyone up here makes me think he's expecting to stroll it - hasn't been the case so far and doubt it will get any easier so either he needs to knuckle down and start showing his qualities or he can drop out for a lad who's never let us down. Andy Halliday.

I'm really concerned about the old firm game given our start and Celtics start to the season. Need a centre half of some quality before the window shuts and hope the occasion inspires the likes of Barton to up their game.

While I agree that Barton has not been as good as I thought he would have been, he has been better than Rossiter, who in my opinion has been over hyped.

Kranjcar changed the game against Motherwell although I do agree he needs to get up to speed quickly! rossister has made more of a impact than Barton in my opinion.

The way I see it is that Nico can't be a sub. He struggles to get up to the pacenof the game. I think he has to start games and then maybe be taken off in the 2nd half if he's tiring.

Personally I've been impressed with Rossiter, particularly on his first start for us. He's a young guy trying to impress and consistency may be an issue this season but I've got far more patience with a young lad like Rossiter than I have for seasoned pros like Barton and Kranjcar.

IMO expectations were that Barton and Kranjcar were going to give us that quality that we needed this season stepping up a division. At this stage I'm not convinced.

When Barton made the comment about wanting to be the best player in Scotland and he would boss Brown, i said on here he shouldn't be making comments like that and just do his talking on the park but i was slated for it, people saying he's right to say what he wants etc, yeah ok, where are those people now? the guy has been very mediocre, he NEEDS to produce against celtic.

Kranjcar will come good, you can see what he has to offer already, class player, he creates openings and it's up to others to finish them off.

Does anyone else think we could push tavernier further up the pitch on the right hand side of the front 3 and replace him with hodson at right back as he is in no doubt good at going forward and attacking but hodson is by far the better defensively and they could work a lot better down the right rather than tavernier bombing forward and us being left exposed at the back time and time again?

Has anyone else heard anything regarding on the rangers and puma situation? As everyone knows the multitude of stories doing the rounds that we've supposed to have ended our partnership with puma a week past on thursday there, stories also doing the rounds that an announcement on this would be made in the very near future, has anyone anymore info on this and have you heard anything regarding this ed?

This is by far the stupidest thing we have done as a club since administration. Puma will wipe the floor with us in court.

Every rangers fan wants the commercial side sorted, this isn't how to do it.

With a contract such as this you either negotiate an exit or pay an exit fee. Otherwise you are in breach of contract and wide open to litigation- by ripping up the contract we have opened the door to just that.

I don't need to see the contract to know that we haven't taken up an exit clause. All the statements from both sides make no mention of such a clause.

Believe what I say or not, up to you- makes no difference to me. time will prove me right.

Unfortunately the world we live in the people with the most money win regardless whether you are right or not, there is lawyers employed by big companies that are paid big bucks to bend rules and exploit loopholes I think taking puma to court is a huge mistake by DK.

Warburtonthefifteenth - They may have taken advice but Puma will obviously have access to better and more accurate advice from lawyers specialising in the field.

I'm guessing this will drag on and on and eventually we'll be even more out of pocket. Strikes me as a huge gamble from King and co and a bit of a desperate one.

Nor being anti advocates, but any lawyer will fight a case if they see an area for argument, even if they expect to lose the legal process, so long as their client believes in the cause and has the funds to cover costs.

Rangers big problem could be the costs incurred in a loss. Pumas briefs will be not be cheap, and rangers can seriously expect to be awarded costs against if they lose.

Maybe I'm being stupid here, but this isn't Pumas 1st contract with a team, so I'm sure the contract is pretty water tight or watch every team that has puma just walk away from deal.

mr nice the first thing is puma do not have permission to use club crest so in effect they are breaking copy right rules nor o they have any contract with rangers football clud its with rangers retail via sports direct the crest etc were all returned when the loan was repaid if sports direct or puma had a case against the club they would have queueing up at high court to issue writs against the club.

First of all may I say, we all love Rangers, that's y were on here, and yes we all see things differently but it's going to take time for this squad to get up to speed, that's the danger of bringing in 12 players, I expect rangers to be right in gear by Christmas but by that time it might be too late, I would just ask my fellow fans to stick by them, we will come good, it's just going to take a while before it happens, I would love to win the league this season, but if we Finnish 2nd i won't be to disheartened, but that's for one season only, as it might take us this season to adjust to being back in the premiership.

How many of your new players have been playing tho mate, the fact is that youve been used to playing in a substandard league and its going to take time to get used to this league, i find it laughable that people on this forum are saying that 3rd would b a failure, warburton is useless etc, actually said on this forum a few weeks back that the support will turn on him in dec, didn't expect it to b after 4 games.

I'm frustrated with MW and have been for most of his reign. However anyone calling for his head is barking mad.

Major mistakes have been made with recruitment over the summer with the key weaknesses still unaddressed and players brought in that don't fit the usual Warburton philosophy.

Is this really all the failure of MW or is it due to lack of money and having to take what they can rather than what we want or need.

Much of the recruitment echoes mccoists strategy of getting experienced pros without looking at the big picture. For example it's already obvious rossiter and Barton can't play together, did we really need both?

At the moment Warburton looks a little lost and unsure what is wrong or how to fix it. I really worry for him and how fans Will react if we loose heavily at Celtic and Aberdeen- which unless we improve significantly will happen.

He needs to be given time to prove he can adapt and step up, however if he continues to refuse bro adapt his tactics he is setting himself up to fail.

celtic supporter coming on here telling us what's what because his team have had all the luck in the world and won a few games don't make me laugh, celtics had all the luck and we've had none that's the only difference between the two teams I'm guessing there lucks going to run out on the 10th september, mark my words we'll get something at the san giro and push on from there, when you take everything into consideration- bad ref decisions, players out injured, players trying to gel etc were unbeaten this season come on bears.

Love tav to bits, but can't help think he is leaving us exposed at the back when going forward, before i get slated re-watch the game back from friday and watch how many times he doesn't get back and how kiernan get drawn over to the right hand side to cover him leaving a massive gap between him and hill also happens on the other side with wallace, also why on earth is moh not pkaying on the wing, kenny millar had a night mare after going over there when garner came on.

Why would Wallace be any better at centre back when he has never shown the capacity to do so. Would be like playing Tav in there a complete disaster. How Haliday makes your team is beyond me he's provided nothing this season and is by far our poorest midfield player. Fod has had nothing to do all season so dropping him to the bench for a player you've probably seen twice against terrible teams is senseless. Forrester, our best player with tav, no where to be seen such an unrealistic lineup with no cover at fullback containing players we haven't signed.

Wallace played at CB before in the SPFL for us and looked good there, pretty sure he played a bit for Hearts in that position. The point people are making is he will be better than Keirnan or Hill and we have adequate cover for him in Hodson, whereas at CB we have nothing. I fear for us against them unless Wilson is fit and has a new partner in bedside him who is also fit and raring to go.
Keirnan looked shaky last year, this year he is a bomb scare.

Think youll find were above you with a game in hand so think its you gunning for us, fans on this site need a reality check, signed umpteen players from lower leagues with no money yet if you don't win the league or come 2nd its a failure? I honestly think that if you get top 6 with current squad would b an achievement.

For me we just need time the expectations for this part of the season are a little extreme considering we have only played five proper games (preseason was a joke), some blaming warbs for not changing anything without offering any real solution. Half our midfield is injured and we have just got Garner in the door and there will be another centre back to come in to partner Wilson so to me there's nothing to worry about. Celtic will drop points as will we and they haven't been particularly impressive defensively either so the hyperbole surrounding our defence is hilarious at times. Think how many proper competitive games Celtic have got in over the past few weeks and preseason and the little changes they have made they were always going to start faster than we were.

What hung EPL last night the majority of the teams are very quick and penetrate at speed from midfield. I hate to say it but Celtic do the same whether that's through Rogers prem league experience I don't know. With the midfield lining up as we have in recent weeks with Barton and Rossister this won't give us the speed and running that's desired. The only game we remotely looked like a team doing this was against Peterhead. If memory is correct no Barton or McKay . we played forester MOH and Dodoo. MW needs the balls to drop some of these non performing players and throw in hungry players.

Most people can see the need for quick players especially up front. People who can move the ball quickly and can turn defence into attack very quickly. Teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man Utd and Bayern Munich do this. Rodgers isn't doing anything new he is just trying to replicate what these teams do. Don't know why Warburton isn't doing it.

Mw doesn't want defenders he wants footballers and he can't pass the ball so he would probably make a million mistakes in our type of play especially in big games where our back four are pressured. Doesn't matter how good a defender he is if he can't pass MW isn't interested and neither should we. In Warbs we trust.

There has to be plenty of players that fit the requirements that are playing in Europe or further afield and are under the age of 35!

Time for Warburton to press King for funds for a quality defender!

Do we have a chance of keeping Mark Warburton if we manage to win the league?

Winning the league at this moment seems galaxy's away but say we're within touching distance come the end of the season.

We manage to scrape it because of their European distraction and so fourth. Warburton may want a crack at the Champions League, is that enough to keep him at the club?

Would honestly rather build for the next few years, than see the most promising manager we've had vanish because of one good season in the top flight.

We are top of the league, we staying there, and with the money from the champions league our future looks a blight shade of green and white.

We won't win the league we will be doing well to finish 2nd the team is unbalanced, defence is poor, midfield laboured and we haven't got enough pace going forward. Rather than worry about keeping Warburton you should be worried about how he has no alternative plans when things aren't going well. It's early days in the league however can't help thinking Kenny Shiels may have been right about Warburton being found out. I hope I'm wrong but I can't see anything other than a very comfortable league win for Celtic.

We may not yet be a strong european or world class team, but we are on the up, and money in the bank to continue the building of a good squad.

Now cone on, how many of you were shouting a few weeks ago that the bhoys were being disrespectful in playing a friendly rather than p t, and that it would come back to haunt us, as the rangers would likely be going into the old firm match ahead of us. Hasn't happened, and I don't see your current set up causing us any problems, now or in the forcible future.

Unfortunatly i think celtic will beat us convincingly. i also think prob finish 4th and also thought it very strange why brentford got rid there manager when he just won promotion. mw done great job for us but no plan b. no varaition in formation.1 style of football that doesn't always work. in every job u need varaition but mw can't see it. how many times do managers change formation in a game. they change it if they see its not working. i don't perdonally think mw will get job in bpl. championship maybe or abroad.
