{Ed's Note - We have posted a new article entitled, Man Utd Midfielder's "Legs Have Gone" And 9 Other Stories From Today

28 Dec 2015 20:48:45
Cracking result today and what an atmosphere. I agree with comment about Miller and McKay. Miller is good for 20 off bench as his time has gone and lacks control to come with the zipped pass. McKay is too one footed and is scared to beat a man. Certainly no laudrup or cooper. Thompson and Hardie need a chance. Let's get out of our blip now hope hibs have there's and.

28 Dec 2015 21:34:19
Im sorry but all I seen McKay do all day was beat men, seems as if we are watching a different players but completely agree about miller.

28 Dec 2015 21:24:53
blue nose barrie mackay had good game today i thought.

28 Dec 2015 22:06:57
McKay had a good game but can't take a man on, on the outside was always cutting in to use right foot, used the outside once to supply Miller who skied over, but overall a good performance, no complaints with his contribution, holt outstanding today.

28 Dec 2015 22:31:19
McKay's place in the team must be in jeopardy if signings are made in the forward positions. Thought the atmosphere today even on the subway going to the game was like turning the clock back 50 years (sadly I can remember that far back) the fans are superb.

28 Dec 2015 23:07:01
McKay was one of best on the park only reason he got took off was Halliday,

29 Dec 2015 00:14:45
I thought Barrie did well but wasn't outstanding as some have said. I like the lad and I think he has a great future in the game. The way he drifted in from the left to set up Miller in the second half was sublime. MW likes him and that's good enough for me.

28 Dec 2015 22:25:32
barry "nutmeg" mckay had a great game, atmosphere was great but can see a fine coming our way. shocking behaviour and the game was on tv.

29 Dec 2015 01:49:31
Mackay has potential. but at this stage, that's all it is. He needs to add some variation to his game by occasionally beating hospital man on the outside. He's becoming g to easy to play against. Thought nick you law put in a great shift today and could possibly earn a new deal if he maintains that level of former until may. Jason Holt was outstanding again and is a stick on for player of the year.

29 Dec 2015 16:52:41
Young Mackay needs to be played on the right side if he is going to reach his potential.

29 Dec 2015 23:47:42
Gorman, you beat me to it mate I think McKay would be a lot better on the right side, but m. w. obviously can't see a better player to play the left wing, that could all change in the window.

28 Dec 2015 19:57:26
well done lads. did the jersey proud today wi a team effort. at the end of the day whatever happens up a league I think its fair to say that the spl needs both hibs and the mighty boys in blue next year. oh and well done to the fans apart from the dinosaur songs. deecee.

28 Dec 2015 20:48:36
Here here mate. can't believe we started the Neanderthal songs again. great performance, but come on cut out the stupid songs.

28 Dec 2015 22:24:48
Good to see a lot of the guys condemning it. It will be reported lightly and printed as a footnote so don't worry.
I don't usually comment on here but it was a few of rangers mates commented on the mighty chorus they took part in.

28 Dec 2015 22:33:37
More I've read down the more I've seen fans not happy with it so fair play. There are a few good posters on here that see through the nonsense and I won't name my favourites but you bears can probably guess the posters that give me the best reads.
One thing I will say, big w aside I'm kept informed 😆.

28 Dec 2015 23:13:36
Thought we looked so much better with Law back in midfield.

29 Dec 2015 00:16:52
Aye Law had a great game imo, just behind wee Holt who I thought was fantastic.

28 Dec 2015 23:39:14
What a performance. Superb throughout and Ibrox bouncing. Job done today. Now let's see how the mighty Hibs react to their run coming to an end. Hope we can use this result to start another run going ourselves.

29 Dec 2015 10:08:26
Quoted as "party tunes" in today's DR. Couldn't make it up.

28 Dec 2015 18:02:20
Well today I think is by far the best we have played all season apart from the Raith Rovers game.

The centre backs looked more assured with not playing as high a line as usual, was a stroll in the park and Barry McKay some of the passes he picks out are second to none imo.

Nicky Law what a difference he made today playing instead of Zalalem and Shiels.

Only downside today for me was Kenny Miller he has be rank rotten the past few weeks and young Hardie needs a few games soon I would think.

Anyway great performance, onwards and upwards.

28 Dec 2015 18:09:38
Great result - enough said tonight

Well done Rangers

Thanks.

28 Dec 2015 18:11:24
Was on earlier saying I'd backed Rangers and was hoping for a fantastic game, atmosphere and the right result.

Well really enjoyable game and the right result, the atmosphere was cracking at times too but spoiled by thousands of fans continually singing songs that have no place at Ibrox in the 21st century.

Feel the team are back on track now and looking forward to 2016.

28 Dec 2015 18:28:49
Well hopefully some of our fans can calm down a bit a section of them had us beat today before ko! going into 2016 on top and am 100% that's where will be come end of April! 👍🏿.

28 Dec 2015 19:46:30
CUBBY

What game were you at?
McKay never completed a pass and checked his runs to avoid responsibility. He was a major disappointment again.

28 Dec 2015 19:47:01
CUBBY

I agree with you about Miller.

28 Dec 2015 20:22:31
I fully agree our best performance should have scored 6 though, totally outplayed Hibs in every area.

28 Dec 2015 18:47:04
Aye 40 thousand at least were singing them. Like it or not its always going to be there.
The younger guys I understand as I did it myself in the 70s and to a lesser extent the 80s but I see these men in there 50s and 60s still doing it and I despair. Values are plummeting rather than improving I'm afraid. But so proud of the team today. Brilliant stuff Miller aside, he's an empty shirt.

28 Dec 2015 21:46:09
deeb honestly man Mckay is a great player he was our out ball all afternoon give him a break at 20 years old i think he is a great talent.

28 Dec 2015 17:59:13
Fantastic result just wht we needed tht will kick us on again good team effort wee Holt wht a bargain. a big moral boosting game for the players. Allan stubbs ya big ugly freak get it right up yi.

28 Dec 2015 17:36:36
Great game! Fantastic watch all the players did well. Enjoyed the win but made all the sweeter by the look on stubbs face at the end!

28 Dec 2015 17:10:54
One word. domination. Thought we totally controlled today's game.

28 Dec 2015 17:26:20
Agree 100%. It would have been a travesty if they'd got anything today. They nearly did as well.
Onwards and forwards!

28 Dec 2015 17:08:46
spot on rangers, smile well and truly wiped, harsh decision about Halliday but even down to ten men we still looked solid, best we've been in weeks, ill be doing the bouncy tonight.

28 Dec 2015 18:47:45
Dazrfc86 even us going down to 10 men, then them scoring ( a snide goal at that) I was confident we would scor again, and if we are being honest with ourself it could have been 7 or 8, chances missed, but still we can't complain there first goal was well taken, though a bit lucky IMO as the ball could have fell anywhere, but I was always confident, after all it's only hibs.

29 Dec 2015 09:35:38
Spot on billy, after all it is only hibs lol this stubbs guy has to learn to shut his pie hole in future, you're right could have been many more goals and i wish it bloody was, onwards and upwards.

28 Dec 2015 17:03:25
Much more fight today, not a perfect performance but bags of energy, Stubbs put firmly in his place. that was more like it Rangers, well done the whole team, Andy Halliday fell for the oldest trick in the book, just hope he learns, a couple of games rest might help him regain his form. all in all a good day for the bluenoses. oh the bluebells are blue.

28 Dec 2015 17:13:05
agree with all you say bar Halliday, blatant cheat holding his face surely Warburton will appeal the card.

28 Dec 2015 17:11:25
to be fair to halliday he did not head butt fyvie it should have been booking only but to be honest we towed them today best performance for 2 or 3 weeks. we could have scored 5 or 6 anyway.

28 Dec 2015 17:00:37
Yassssssss man why a game and some result! Played well, and thought for every ball, never a red card, law was brilliant, so was holt, waghorn as well, Kenny Miller ran his heart out, but Kenny son, if u had a first touch, ud a signed for real, I'll give u that, wasted to many chances, and because he hasn't got a first touch, his link up plays terrible! Waghorn law and holy where brilliant, McKay, played a bit better the second half, but I won't go to hard on him because his age, but he's got a lot to learn! Last but not least, Alan stubbs, I'll even buy u the biggest humble pie in the world to eat, even if it cost a grand, u talked the talk, but couldn't walk the walk, total mouth piece of a man, he'll not sleep well tonight that's for sure, well done Rangers and MB and DW! Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all. WATP.

28 Dec 2015 17:16:12
You where right Colin we are a joke of a team!

28 Dec 2015 16:47:20
I would like to just say again the refereeing standard was shocking fyfyfie should have the book thrown at him for simulation.

28 Dec 2015 16:59:47
Often cheated never defeated!

28 Dec 2015 17:01:09
Fantastic display from the lads! By far the best team and I hope this goes some way to dispel the doubts. Btw the worst display I have ever seen from a referee and also Fyvie should be ashamed of himself. Despite that we came through and really should have scored seven or eight today. Absolutely delighted and it has made my holiday! Btw if you go over the ball and deliberately injure an opponent's ankle would you have the red card rescinded? Answer- not if you are a Rangers player. Wonder what they will do about yoday's red card? An absolute joke! Rant over!

28 Dec 2015 17:05:51
FYffe should be given a ban, cheating at its worst, wonder if stubby, with his green tinted glasses will condone? It wisny even a yellow for Halliday, the carrot had a go. Anyways justice was served, thought law had a good game, as for holt? Best 60 odd grand in history. All together now.

28 Dec 2015 17:20:58
that fyvie is a dirtbag, got away with murder in the last meeting at easter road.

28 Dec 2015 17:21:40
Thought Holt and Law and then Shiels when he came were all absolutely immense. Does anybody really think that this mob is better than us? I've said it often that they have been playing total crap and nicking late goals and scraping wins. Tbh I feared they were going to do it again at the end until Waggy ' s fantastic finish. Let's kick on now and show this lot who the best team in the league is.

28 Dec 2015 20:21:02
Totally agree seeker I've been on here for weeks now saying we're a far better team than hibs and said we would beat them, I only hope now that all the doubting thomas's get behind our management team of warburton and weir and of course the team in general, the continual negative doubters of glasgow rangers on here know who they are and who I'm talking about, try looking on the plentiful positives at the moment instead of looking for the minimal negatives, try it for once guys, its easy and doesn't hurt, get in there the glasgow rangers!

28 Dec 2015 22:50:09
The seeker yip mate total agreement with both your posts above, some on here said we would get beat, I've yet to see any posts from the doubters since today's game, does make me wonder, c'mon lungi, buffo etc come out from the back of the couch, the games finished hours ago .

28 Dec 2015 16:31:04
We don't expect anything less from hibs, especially fyvie do we? His tackle on McKay the last game was nothing short of assault and there he was play acting as per.

28 Dec 2015 15:31:48
half an hour gone, 70% possession and once again going nowhere, I really DO wish Warburton would admit the 4-3-3 doesn't always cut it. We need more flexibility.

28 Dec 2015 16:59:19
Oh dear Bill. Shot your load a bit early there.

28 Dec 2015 17:01:48
You were saying wee bill?

28 Dec 2015 17:04:45
blue genius - spot on, still reeling from Xmas pudding i think. Glad to see i know nothing about football after all lol.

28 Dec 2015 17:29:35
Hope you enjoy your break pal. Am so delighted a dirty bomb couldn't wipe the smile off my face!

28 Dec 2015 16:58:53
Sorry wee bill. I like your posts mate but we were excellent the whole game!
Barrie Mckay, Holt, Waghorn superb. Should have been 8 if not for Kenny Millar, empty jersey. Very proud Gers man today!

28 Dec 2015 23:40:43
sounezz - i ate humble pie earlier and admitted i got it wrong, It's an age thing! over anxious.

28 Dec 2015 15:26:28
We are rubbish said it for weeks he needs to go. Our defence is rank.

28 Dec 2015 16:06:36
Looks like i may have jumped the gun a bit but still say our defence is rank.

28 Dec 2015 16:56:47
Who needs to go?

28 Dec 2015 17:02:19
Get a grip man ffs.

28 Dec 2015 17:19:04
i thought wilson had a good game today.

28 Dec 2015 12:05:08
Would like people's opinions on who if any from the top flight of the spl would you like us to sign in the summer if we get promoted, I would love us to sign these players if possible.

Kenny McLean
Andrew shinnie
Peter Pawlett
Sam Nicholson best young player in Scotland imo
Callum Paterson
Juanma

Obviously not all of them but just a few that I rate, anyone agree of have their own wish list?

28 Dec 2015 12:21:54
Every time I've seen jonny hayes I've been impressed with him quick direct and solid.

28 Dec 2015 13:16:52
really don't think any of them the only 2 that i would be interested in o'halloran or greg stewart and at a push hayes.

28 Dec 2015 14:03:19
Got to say cummings and mcginn.

28 Dec 2015 15:50:01
Jackson Irvine,
Nicholson or king both impressive
Paterson is the best right back in Scotland so if we could sign him it would be hard to say no lol

Quite like kiltie and Slater at Kilmarnock

John souttar
Josh meekings.

28 Dec 2015 17:32:58
Davie
Don't want the Hibs pair. Cummings is a corner boy and McGinn isn't good enough. They actually did us a favour rescinding the red card as he was about as useful as a man short.

28 Dec 2015 11:49:40
I have got to say, I have not felt this level of excitement, nerves and tension going into today's game since a top flight old firm match. I ain't got any finger nails left and it's over 3 hours until kick off.

28 Dec 2015 12:18:15
Big game today not particularly in terms of the end result of the winner of the league but mentally to see where this team really is. Under a wee bit of pressure at a packed ibrox I'm absolutely buzzin for the game. 100% behind the manager and team.

28 Dec 2015 13:37:54
Buzzing too and put a few quid on us at 5/6. Here's hoping for a fantastic game, atmosphere and the right result.

28 Dec 2015 13:37:54
Buzzing too and put a few quid on us at 5/6. Here's hoping for a fantastic game, atmosphere and the right result.

28 Dec 2015 09:30:17
Thinking of taking my son to Ibrox today but its sold out do you think there will be tickets on sale outside the stadium.

28 Dec 2015 11:10:34
probably but will be expensive.

28 Dec 2015 08:54:24
Spent an evening in the company of some Lanarkshire friends of my inlaws and I was finding the level of aggression and anti Rangers sentiment difficult to deal with.
They are all Motherwell fans so not to familiar with winning trophies and the small club mentality was horrendous.

They all admitted the league was struggling without Rangers but it was all EBT Newco etc

How I am longing for the Rangers to be back to winning ways when we can batter teams like Motherwell 5-0
Where have the next generation of
McCoist type goal scorers gone.

{Ed001's Note - I am sure your talk of 'small club mentality', them being 'not to familiar with winning trophies' helped matters. You might want to tone down your arrogance before complaining about people taking a dislike!}

28 Dec 2015 09:21:01
Ed
I don't see anywhere in the post where he actually mentions that he has discussed with the Motherwell fans of them being a small club with a dearth of trophies tbh. I agree with the poster. Fans of other clubs display a real hatred towards our club and I think the vast majority would have preferred that we folded forever, even though it would signal the beginning of the end of Scottish football. And btw I don't mean dislike, I mean hatred.

{Ed001's Note - it doesn't matter, my point is that all I read on these pages are arrogant posts about how you will soon be back where you belong etc. You belong where you are right now, and if you win promotion then you will belong in the SPFL next season. You are bringing a lot of the hatred upon yourselves with an antagonistic attitude, making things worse. There will always be muppets who talk about hate, but why join them?}

28 Dec 2015 09:27:06
These were my personal thoughts. I was doing more listening to gauge how others viewed Rangers and its plain to see we are hated by other clubs fans.

28 Dec 2015 09:35:59
They where probably winding u up and by the sound of it. They done a good job a wouldn't be losing any sleep over it.

28 Dec 2015 09:44:08
Ed I think that is a bit harsh. i also agree the level of aggression and anti Rangers sentiment has never been higher. The small club mentality and not familiar with winning trophies were his thoughts. he never stated he said that to them. every club from the top to the bottom has had a kick at us. frankly I think your response to that post was very poor. No wonder most Rangers fans have a seig mentality.

{Ed001's Note - no it is because of these kind of thoughts being posted everywhere that people are having a kick at you.}

28 Dec 2015 09:50:59
Ed I take your point and I was trying to be mindful of trying not to revert back to the arrogance of the past when Rangers were this and Rangers were that
The conversation started with one of the guests asking if I would be asking Rangers for a refund for my season ticket for the last 20 years as we had fraudulent won all the trophies
This was not a conversation started by me saying not long now till you see the old Rangers swagger into town and hump you off the park.

The object of my post was to highlight the difficulty ahead of us
If the opposition fans think this way I can see why its proving difficult for Rangers to get people from the club into this higher position within the Scottish game
its my opinion we will be excluded at every turn. The question is what can we do to address this situation.

{Ed001's Note - you just have to treat it as banter, rather than hatred, then maybe things can heal. Fans feel cheated by the way Rangers won, that is understandable. It is also understandable that Rangers fans feel it is unfair that they are getting the stick about it, as you didn't run the club in an unfair way. It needs both sides to remember it is a game and stop taking it so seriously and everyone will be happier.}

28 Dec 2015 10:22:45
Cheers
All the best to all Rangers fans for
2016.

28 Dec 2015 10:27:41
Ed u are clearly not a fan of our club and that is fine by me. I have no problem with that what so ever. We all get to choose what team we will follow. But if all u read is arrogant posts on here why not ed on another fans forum.

{Ed001's Note - what? Are you taking the mick? Surely you must be trying to be funny?}

28 Dec 2015 10:47:05
Ed people do hate rangers and from an irrational point of view I work on building site all over Scotland and the bile spewed from some of these people is on a par with the bigotry that has darkened the old firm some people have hatred in them they just need a banner to March under. I had on guy i gave a job to who was dundee utd supporter the guy was sound if he shut up about his views on the old firm he went about asking folk what team they supported which is common practice but when it came to the boys who supported the gers he would stop work rant at them tell them how much he hated them constantly thinking of something and having a go i tried telling him we were all mixed and it was all about banter not hatred and that if he didn't stop I would have to let him go as someone would end up thumping him even the time hated listening to him. This has been the feeling all over hearts, hibs, everybody they want to blame someone for their own clubs failures. Look back to when we first got in trouble Geoff brown and John yorkston saying how St. Johnstone and Dunfermline would have won the league if it wasn't for us yet when sky offered the good money the old firm said take it but all these other teams wanted to stay with setanta thinking they were so smart what do rangers and celtic know before that we had the breakaway ten going to kick the old firm out well look how well they have done with one of us gone imagine celtic out of it too they would be screwed they know this when we spent money they didn't look at England and see them still spending debt well beyond our but they still attract investment all Scotland attracts is negativity. Blame Rangers for everything that is wrong talk ourselves down at every opportunity, don't listen to the ones that are successful in their field what would they know that's really going to attract outside investment in our game.
