RANGERS NEWS,
Cant believe we want healy northern ireland striker , hes done nothing in the last 2 years as bad as that chancer beattie . I would rather play the u-19s its pathetic we only have 10-12k millers wages to use , the english 2nd div pay more than that. Lloyds have hanged us out to dry and it will only get worse 1 million of next years wage bill so that's 1-2 players we have just now. How much more of this nonsense are we going to take? trueblue Platoon. .

Rikkisixx, got to agree with everything you said mate, Naismith hasn't played since he got his new contract, ( surprise surprise), and as for next season, I don't think McCoist is the man, rumour has it he did all the tactics, preparation and selection for the New Year game and made a mess of it so much Smith had to come down just before the 2nd goal to try and sort it out.
Really hope we win the league this year, could be the last for a wee while

On the riorden subject a didn't think he was all that good a player but heard today the reason wee chesney didn't play him for the manky mob was because he had off field problems with drinking and the columbian marching powder, seems to be ok now tho, a think he would be ok under walter n ally.its better than a poke in the eye wae a frozen jobby (better than nothing).watp 3 in a row

28 Jan 2011 19:54:21

This might be hard to believe, but I've heard that Walter might play with two forwards against celtic, I repeat this is very hard to believe

28 Jan 2011 19:20:16

Wheres the a**hole that said we will be hearing about take over on thursday he was talking b/s
an then doesn't come back on why do people make up b/s n lie on here

28 Jan 2011 19:06:11

Whats the point in even considering goodwillie he does, nt know his own future never mind anything else, I would have thought that common sense would have prevailed there, maybe you must be feeling distraught and delusional but its only a game of football mate can't mix reality and fantasy like that,
its not healthy.

Re even the baggage-timposter alert,

Walter Smith had said Bain was in talks with Commons reps, but the deal had stalled, all the main media had said talks had stalled over money, so give up mong, the wee lieing git has only said this to engraciate himself, after a wee talk from Lennon and co, to the braindead masses that swallow every word , feckin waste of money anyhow.

Lets not worry if we don't sign anyone my main concern is a new owner, as much as walter has steadied the ship against a poor septic his tactics are always defence minded and always plays our best players out of position, his signings are not always the best, keep any money for Ally next season.

God we are becoming a laughing stock , listened to commons interview and we did not even make an offer , questions have to be answered , I certainly don't want to go backwards with , Boyd , novo, heriderson , riordian , etc. I want to move forward with younger players , give our youth boys a chance instead of signing rubbish .
I would still like goodwillie , even with baggage

Whats the big deal of loosing McCulloch for three games. What does he contribute to a game apart from running about the field like a headless chicken.

Smith has to nail Davis and Naismith to the wall for their extremely poor performances over the last few weeks I know Naismith has been injured, but he never hit a blue jersey all night against Hibs, and was woeful against Hearts, not including his sitters against Caley Thistle and countless others, he's been guff and had no right to waltz back into that team in front of Weiss who has been producing the goods. As for Steven 'Next pass to weir or mcCulloch' Davis, he has been Shocking, and you can't use that "playing in the wrong position" excuse, for £4.5 million plus whatever wage he's pulling in he should be leading the team and dictating every single game. Instead we are looking to a 19 year old lad called Ness for this.

We need to forget about this transfer window, and start questioning why on-field decisions are being made, such as Taking off Ness, & Lafferty against Hearts when they were our most dangerous players, if they were tired they shouldn't have started. Heaven forbid we play two large strikers upfront. Also why don't we question the lack of ideas against Celtic after they scored, and how come every time Weiss gets the ball, our whole team stands by and watches him instead of running into space to give him an option rather than letting him be picked off by 3 opposing players.

Richard Gough said, after we had that run in the Champs league 92-93, and won the treble, that "we loved playing so many games, cause it meant we didn't train as much", and that squad won (almost) everything that year with more or less the same 16 players
The size of the squad is not to blame if we loose the league to webuyanyc*nt.com.
Its the tactical desicions or lack of, which has us struggling.

I am sure some of yous won't agree, but many will, Any manager could have won us 9 in a row, souness would have got 10 maybe more with those players. No-one can deny Smith is a father figure to the lads in the team, a great motivator in mccoist along side him, but the next game things aren't going well, Watch Walters tactics, I think you'll find that, 9 times out of 10, he'll make like for like subs and keep the same shape.

Might I add that something should be done about Ian Black, that's two horrific challenges that he's got away with, and as much as I like seeing a celtic player on the deck in pain, he could have ruined his career, same with Jelavic and his cowardly tackle on him. I think that's why Jelavic reacted against the hibs lad, as the Hibs boy tried the same challange.

Anyway, Rant over, am not wanting an arguement over this, its just my point of view. and wanted to talk about something other than guff players we're linked with when we have awesome youth players (Hutton, Wilde, Ness, etc) coming through

Rikkisixx (Who gives a flying monkey turd about Miller, we have Jelavic)

28 Jan 2011 15:21:09

In my honest opinion. .

Rangers won't sign anyone this window.

I think they should have went for Gomis or look further afield and sent a scout to europe.

The money freed up from the Miller sale should be enough to offer commons £20k a week , although , he just aint worth it.

Bout time we got a grip of our finances ffs , how the manky mob can buy a CB just because that big diddy is out for 3weeks is beyond me , then gazzump us with Kris Commons. .

Surely their finances must be in a dire state , the rate they are spending !

Anyone see Commons press conference, (and don't start it's not Rangers related, it is)he was saying there was no contact by him his people with Rangers, it was all a media thing, he only wanted to go to Celtic blah blah, so when Walter was interviewd a few days back, he said Bain was talking with Commons agent and the deal stalled, it never happened? ?when the tin man McMinn said Commons told him he was dying to go to Ibrox, was he also lieing? ?, so are Sky, BBC, and other media outlets lieing? ?, no the wee lieing s**ep will fit in well the rest of the lieing stum in Kerrydale ST.

No signings bank taking every penny.

28 Jan 2011 14:55:04

Send the young lads out to play in the c.i.s and the scottish cup. whay revenue do these competitions generate. about 50 shillings to the winners. keep the big guns for league games and europe.

28 Jan 2011 14:51:32

We are desperate here are we not? Once again Celtic beat us to the signing of a good/decent player that we could have done with, all because we can't afford him. Rumours of Hibs bench players, Inverness players and guys being released by Dundee United.

Our first squad is much stronger thn celtics. thers no chance of keeping thm all injury free to the end of the season never mind suspensions. big lees out of 3 of the 7 games in feb.which also takes in the league game with the dark side

28 Jan 2011 14:32:23

I can tell you what is fact. .if we don't get 2 or 3 players in before tuesday we will not win the league.we have somthing like 7 or 8 games in febuary.weve alredy lost big mc collough for 3 of them.celtic will win it by sheer numbers.not quality. its not looking good for us at the mo.

I don't know what the rest of my fellow bears think but I for one don't want Boyd or Novo back. They done a good job when we had them but both left without getting the club a penny. Now that teh grass aint greener they want to jump back to what they believe is the easy option. I can Novo's point in moving a bit. He is Spanish and got the chance to play in La Liga but Boyd is supposed to be Rangers born and bred. He just went were the money was. Plus he is too lazy. If we don't sign anyone I aint that bothered. I think we shoudl just go with what we have. The young guns that have come through have shown me enough encouragement to say we can do it. We might have lost Miller but Jelavic is back and I still think big Lafferty will do us a turn. Celtic have signed yet another squad player but haven't improved their starting 11. Our first 11 is better than theirs and I honestly believe quality always comes through in the end. Don't forget we dropped Barry Fergusin and McGregor a couple of years ago for the V signs and still won the league. Its times like these, when the chiops are down is when Rangers come out all guns blazing. We will be there at the end of the season giving Sir Walter the send off he deserves.

Walter weighing up Boyd and Novo as loan signings with Boro offering to subsidise Boyds wages up to £8k so he is available for £17k Novo would only command 12-15k
Smith has a maximum of £20k wages freed up as he can use the £400k miller fee towards them. He wants Heriorderssen (wrong spelling)with his 2nd choice Fraser Wright from Killie.
Of course any Adam cash or Velicka wages being freed can change things but these ARE the targets, I would love Eremenko, Goodwillie or even Riordan but they arent going to happen.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2011 09:16:06

Ok fellow bears if we went for Goodwllie or Riordan we're only going to be strong in the league, they would be cup tied for two domestic cups and in europe because both played in europa league this season or does this not matter.

28 Jan 2011 06:03:09

Morning bears just finished from doin my night shift and i picked up kal naismith ( youth player at rangers ) and i asked the usual questions about whats going on n he said there is an expected press conference today 13.00 GMT concerning the take over i don't know if the young chap said this to shut me up or not but could be interesting!

We are financially in the mire, couldn't even offer Commons a decent wage, players are not going to leave clubs for less wages. What kind of squad will Ali be left with after Walter goes

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2011 01:06:57

So the so called mighty rangers said no to the lad commons because of his wage demands. I seem tae remember they turned down the chance tae sign a certain striker called john hartson because of his failed medical at ibrox. i wonder if history is gonna repeat itself once again.

27 Jan 2011 23:41:02

Well here we all are again ed the latest rumour has to be that celtic have tapped rangers phones probably martin baines mobile and the trial by flatscreen monitor contiues!erimenko would be an excellent signing he is a decent player very effective but we need some strong bones in the defence id say david goodwillie isn't going to happen funny how andy gray and david goodwillie
both play and played centre forward for dundee united and the similarities don't end there!it must be something in the water across there!but I think rangers might get a defender H.H. as walter
trusts the old heads but apart from that I don't see anything better than what we have coming in
so let the church mice go get this title watties swan song, go for it gers. . . . .
