Very simple question for all for and ante ally, if he left tomorrow, name teams that would want him and on what salary.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe his mate Fergie could put in a word at Man-U.
they pay quite well, so Don`t think his salary would drop that much.
Ally in the Epl, Jose, and the rest of the big guns would ship themselves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hour gone since post thought Ally fans would have had ed working overtime by now with replies.

Agree0 Disagree0

Largs, maybe cumnock?

Agree0 Disagree0

Third Lanark

Agree0 Disagree0

What a pathetic question how can anyone know who would and wouldn't want him what I will say is his record ain't to shabby 21 wins and a draw from 22 and the fact he stuck with us regardless of his salary shows his loyalty this kind of nonsense stinks of a personal vendetta RTID

Agree0 Disagree0

Sue Barker - A question of sport. If he aims high enough he might get a spot on Soccer AM with Tubes

Agree0 Disagree0

If Ally moves on I think he would stuggle to land any team in the top 20 in Scotland and Any of the Top 50 English clubs I think it would be another stint on Q O S (thats Question of Sport) not Queen Of The South lol

Agree0 Disagree0

@ Marathon Bear - no chance Tuffers is far funnier and probably cheaper. @4 gosh your nae spring chicken- but good shout aye maybe the Hi Hi @3 I think your closest so far definitely not the Talbot- too high a standard- aye theirs.
@OP according to a radio phone in program the "football people's" mutterings are not good for a career move. There is surprise at the lack of coaching evident in his teams and the concern that there appears to be no shape, form and style of play to his teams.
So no one- probably
@5 get a life laddie- football is about opinions and if we are not all as supportive of Super Ally as you are then tough- you will just have to live with it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nbear2 - I'll take your word on Tuffers. Haven't watched a question of sport since Bill Beaumont and Willy Carson were the captains. If McCoist is finding it hard for TV work after Rangers he could always try Celebrity Big Brother.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think some of you should show some of the loyalty he has showed us, and yes i, ve changed my tune. with all the backstabbing, two faced folk and shafting of our club by outsiders its good that someone stayed when others did, nt and did his best to fight our corner and I know he, s been used with his wages. but what price loyalty in these dark days

Agree0 Disagree0

@7 you just had to mention Queen of the south again didn't you, I bet you can't wait till next season so you can compare the two teams. OP the question is one of the most childish questions asked on here its like asking who would win between the 1972 CWC team or the UEFA cup final team, pointless.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 10 you "know he's been used with his wages"? not sure I understand your point there.?
I know we are all probably sick of the pro Ally and not so pro Ally "discussions" and if we heard more from the board and in particular Mr Wallace it would take the spotlight of Mr McCoist occasionally. I seem to remember there was a little less argument about the manager between bears when the long awaited AGM was the big issue and about to unfold.

Agree0 Disagree0

I show my loyalty by turning up to the games and buying a season ticket which as far as I am concerned entitles me to my point of view.

Agree0 Disagree0

N12 I agree with n10 could youimagine if we had some other manager one with no connection to rangers we would not have a team to support imagine we would be waiting for the news we had shut down no support would have backed an unknown doing to us what ally has done the gates would have closed last season lmho

Agree0 Disagree0

@13 agreed. If you can't express an opinion on line particularly if you pay your money for the ST without being accused of lack of loyalty it's a sad day. Not like the old days when David Coleman had Sue's job. Glad I'm not the only old sod on here. When are you getting your bus pass?

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha bear2. Would have answered sooner but been busy at work. No bus pass yet just a kid when watched question of sport but also old enough to remember another legend that never quite cut it as a manager - john Grieg

With a few days left of the transfer window, didn`t expect any players in, but given the financial mess the clubs once again got its self into, I did think a bit more activity with players either loaned or sold.
surely the deadwood p$$s that can`t get or don`t want a game
should have been given a free.
But given the amount their on a week, don`t suppose you will get rid that easy.
Obviously no urgent need to streamline the squad! or is this part of their administration plan?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry Ed-OP bluebeard, thought I had logged in.

I am starting to get a bit sick of people complaining about Ally McCoist being a bad manager and wanting him out.

We have a brilliant record in terms of percentage of games won since we went down to the bottom league.

He put together a team quickly and got thru the 1st year.

Realistically we are in the 3rd tier of Scottish football, and so we don't have the pick of the best managers in the world.

Yes Ally was on very good wages, and now he has reduced them after being asked. Which is great. But ally has stood by this club and is the only person who has been there to keep the players together and being actually able to win games. Most managers would have walked after the administration. But he stayed (yes on good wages), and in my view will go down as a Rangers Managerial Legend. By no means the best manager we have ever had. but he has stuck by this club.

And by the amount of crap Ally has had to go through the last few years (you can tell how much he has aged in the last few years), he deserves a decent wage, but I class the £400k he is on now as a very good managerial wage.

Lets be honest, we are the hardest fans to please. And Ally has 64 points out of a possible 66 this season, yet large numbers on this site want him out.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He blew a 15 point lead last time in top division the man is deluded. He is still talking about past players and is taking more money out of the club than anyone. But we still have so called bears coming on here defending him. I say you need to grow a pair and learn to walk before you run
And McCulloch for you to compare teams full of guys who work all day in everyday jobs as good as the top division then you are a complete joke, you are finished as a player and a captain

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah mate your right he will go down in history OK, AS THE WORST MANAGER RANGERS HAVE EVER HAD

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 Prove to me that he blew a 15 point lead.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP. What kind of sauce have you been on?
You reckon most managers would've walked if their club was in administration.
Several clubs have been in administration over the years, name those managers who have walked.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if the majority of punters are as deluded we are doomed to having him until we reduce his wages to something like £60000 a week when there will be numerous clubs desperate to get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - £60k per week?)

@4 yes but we were still 15 points ahead

Agree0 Disagree0

@6, sorry get carried away with, 's. must be thinking of my own.

Agree0 Disagree0

So he is not the bast manager what people don't realise is the team are playing against teams that play 11 men behind the ball every week plus these part timers are playing against us for one season only its like a world cup to these part time players guys that never thought they would ever get a chance to play rangers when we get to championship we will see the strength of our team I know half won't make it to top league but we will get there then maybe ally will move upstairs

Agree0 Disagree0

@3, jyf, is your memory so bad you can't remember, or is it selective because your head is always in the sand?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we were 15 points ahead but I'm not sure we can blame ally for Celtic winning their 2 games in hand can we? Shall we call it a fair 9?

Agree0 Disagree0

Our biggest lead that season was 12 points.
